Pentagon’s Pizza Index has accurately predicted 21 global crises since 1983
As tensions rise in the Middle East, a curious, crowd-driven theory known as the “Pentagon Pizza Index” has caught fire online.
On June 12 and 13, users on X (formerly Twitter) reported a sudden spike in pizza deliveries near the Pentagon and Department of Defense in Washington, D.C., sparking speculation that the United States may be quietly entering crisis mode behind closed doors.
The timing? Just hours before Israel reportedly struck targets in Iran in response to Tehran’s earlier drone and missile attacks. And once again, pizza orders were booming.
Cold war roots of the pizza theory. What began as a Soviet spy trick is now a digital-age meme
The idea isn’t new. During the Cold War, Soviet operatives observed pizza delivery activity in Washington, believing it signalled crisis preparation inside U.S. intelligence circles. They coined it “Pizzint” — short for pizza intelligence.
This tactic entered public lore on 1 August 1990, when Frank Meeks, a Domino’s franchisee in Washington, noticed a sudden surge in deliveries to CIA buildings. The next day, Iraq invaded Kuwait. Meeks later told the Los Angeles Times he saw a similar pattern in December 1998 during the impeachment hearings of President Bill Clinton.
Tumblr media
As former CNN Pentagon correspondent Wolf Blitzer once joked in 1990, “Bottom line for journalists: Always monitor the pizzas.”
WWIII warning: What is the Pentagon Pizza Index today? A meme, an OSINT tool, or a symptom of digital-age paranoia?
The modern Pentagon Pizza Index is tracked through open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools. These include Google Maps, which shows real-time restaurant activity, and social media observations. Pages like @PenPizzaReport on X have dedicated themselves to watching for abnormal patterns.
On 1 June 2025, the account posted, “With less than an hour to go before closing time, the Domino’s closest to the Pentagon is experiencing unusually high footfall.”
A few hours later, reports emerged of a fresh escalation between Israel and Iran. For believers in the theory, it was yet another sign that something bigger was underway.
The April 2024 pizza spike. A recent example that reignited interest
The most notable recent instance occurred on 13 April 2024, the night Iran launched a massive drone and missile strike against Israel. That same evening, screenshots from delivery platforms showed pizzerias around the Pentagon, White House, and Department of Defense tagged as “busier than usual.”
Tumblr media
Multiple Papa John’s and Domino’s branches reported increased orders. The correlation prompted viral memes and renewed interest in the theory.
According to Euro News, a user on X posted on 13 June 2025, “The Pentagon Pizza Index is hiking.”
Inside the logic: Why pizza? Food, fatigue and national security
The concept is deceptively simple. When military staff face a national emergency, they work longer shifts and can’t leave their posts. They need quick, filling food — and pizza fits the bill.
Studies in behavioural psychology show that under stress, people prefer calorie-dense, familiar comfort foods. During high-alert operations, officials may work 16–20 hour days. That creates a visible consumption spike that outsiders can track.
And because platforms like Google and Uber Eats share real-time data on restaurant activity, amateur analysts can monitor these patterns — no hacking required.
World War III: Pizza as a proxy for preparedness. It’s not perfect, but it’s consistent
The Pentagon Pizza Index isn’t a foolproof system. It could easily be triggered by something mundane: a long staff meeting, a software glitch, or a nearby college football game.
That’s why modern OSINT analysts often cross-reference pizza spikes with other indicators — like unusual aircraft movements, ride-hailing activity, or power usage near government buildings. When multiple signs align, it suggests more than coincidence.
As a senior analyst put it: “You can’t bank a war call on a pizza. But if the Pentagon’s burning the midnight oil and feeding everyone, it’s worth a second look.”
Official silence, public curiosity. What the US government says — and doesn’t say
Despite the chatter online, the US government has made no mention of pizza deliveries as indicators of crisis.
Responding to speculation about American involvement in Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, Republican Senator Marco Rubio said:
“We are not involved in strikes against Iran, and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defence.”
Still, the Pentagon’s silence on the pizza theory hasn’t stopped internet users from speculating.
Humour meets anxiety in the age of digital vigilance
In an age where open-source tools let ordinary people track the movement of jets, ships, and even pizzas, the Pentagon Pizza Index sits at the bizarre intersection of humour and fear. It turns snack food into a warning system.
It’s also a reminder: not all intelligence requires a badge. Sometimes, the clue might be just down the road — in a Domino’s queue.
Whether you see it as absurd or insightful, one thing is clear: when the pizzas fly, people pay attention.

Accidental CI
Pairing: David "Deacon" Kay x fem!reader
Summary: When your employer's name comes up in a case, your best friend Deacon calls to ask for your help. He leads you into a dangerous situation, and you come out as more than friends.
Warnings: r works an unspecified corporate job, mentions weapon trafficking and guns, threats, mostly fluff!
Word Count: 3.1k+ words

Tumblr media
“Hi, Deac,” you greet as you open the door.
“How was work?” he asks.
“It was fine. My boss forgot to start a software update last night so we didn’t have computer access until after lunch.”
“So, you got paid to sit there and do nothing?”
“Which isn’t that much different than most days,” you tease. “What about you? Any crazy calls?”
You lead Deacon into your kitchen, and his smile widens when he sees dinner waiting on your counter. He pulls you into a quick hug before telling you about his day at work.
“No injuries?” you ask softly.
“No injuries,” he assures. “What about you; any paper cuts that need tending to?”
“Just mental injuries for me. Our financial statements aren’t aligning like they should and if it’s not fixed by the next audit, someone’s getting in trouble.”
“What do you think caused it?”
“Oversight or adding the same bill twice, I’d guess. But I think we should talk about something more exciting than my future IRS investigation.”
“Then let’s talk about that amazing dinner over there and I’ll remind you that Luca wants to have a cooking competition with you.”
Deacon has been your best friend since he moved in next door. You also harbor an ever-growing crush on him. When you saw him climb out of the moving truck the first day, you knew you wanted to be close. He’s got a stressful job, so if you can give him a break and a friend, that’s what you’ll do.
Tumblr media
Deacon watches the screen in the situation room as Hondo explains the corporate espionage turned weapon trafficking case. It's a strange move, going from stealing trade secrets to transporting illegal weapons across borders and into areas with strict gun control laws. Metro found a lot of evidence, but when they located the weapons supply in their prime suspect’s corporate office, they called in 20 Squad.
“Wait, go back. Who’s the suspect?” Deacon asks.
His eyes search the monitor as Hondo returns to a page of surveillance photos.
“Elwin Dupree. You know him?” Hondo responds.
“Not personally, but I know someone who works for him.”
“CI?” Chris guesses.
“No. She might be willing to help, though.”
“Call her,” Hondo says.
Hicks adds, “Otherwise, we’re going in blind. Metro has intel but it’s not enough to avoid an ambush.”
Deacon nods and walks out of the room. He presses a contact from his favorites list before raising his phone to his ear.
Tumblr media
“Remind me why we work here?” your desk neighbor, whom you lovingly call Nola, says as she sits across from you.
“Because the pay is good… and we’re desperate,” you offer, smiling as you accept your favorite drink.
“May I remind you that Dupree is an idiot who can’t even remember what he asks us to do?”
“Just smile and go with it, Nola, it’s the easiest way to handle it.”
“The man called me into his office yesterday, and then didn’t know why I was there,” she whispers.
“That’s probably a good thing for you. Considering your nickname is based off of your reply of no; lazy.”
“I am lazy! So, I don’t like to do things. He can fire me whenever he wants.”
You roll your eyes and prepare to reply but are interrupted by your cell phone ringing. You apologize to Nola before you answer it.
“Hey, it’s me,” Deacon says on the other end of the line.
“Indeed, it is. What’s going on?” you reply.
“How do you know something is going on?”
“It’s mid-morning on a weekday. And you never call me.”
“I call you all the time!” Deacon argues.
You laugh before you say, “Not when you’re at work.”
“Okay, fine, you’re right. Listen, we’re working on something, and your boss’s name came up.”
“Dupree?” you inquire. “Why?”
“I can’t tell you exactly what we’re looking into, but Hondo and Hicks wanted to know if you’d be willing to help us.”
“Of course. Tell me what to do,” you agree.
“Can you come down here?”
“Uh, yeah,” you answer. You open the calendar on your computer and add, “I can spare an hour and a half, is that enough time?”
“Absolutely. Thank you,” Deacon says.
“Anything for you.”
You hang up and gather your things before standing.
“Where are you off to? Please tell me you’re leaving to go on a date with the hot neighbor you always talk about,” Nola whispers.
“Not today. There was a slight mishap for some of our paperwork. I have to run to another office and get everything sorted out,” you lie. “I’ll have my cell if you need anything.”
“Dodging bullets left and right, aren’t you? Go ahead, I’ll watch your phone and fill in Dupree if he notices you’re gone.”
“Thanks, Nola.”
Tumblr media
When you park outside the station, your thoughts begin spiraling. You sit in your seat and wonder if you made the right decision. Will you be in Deacon’s way or be too distracted by him to even help? What if something happens to him while you’re with him? What if he-
A tap on your window draws you from your questions. You turn your head and see Deacon looking at you through the glass. You send him a small smile as he opens your door and bends to look at you. His head tilts to this side, and when he lowers to a squat, his brown eyes distract you as he looks up at you.
“You okay? You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to,” he says gently.
“No, I want to. Just- I was thinking too much, I guess,” you reply.
Deacon nods and stands before offering his hand to help you out of your seat. He closes the door and ensures it’s locked before moving his hand to your back to lead you inside.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Hondo,” Hondo says as you enter.
You shake Hondo’s hand and introduce yourself as you follow him further into the station. He doesn’t waste any time as he begins explaining as much as he can about how your boss is involved in the case they’re working.
“We’d like to send you in the get additional details on the office and any other information you can find,” Hondo says. “We’ve got basic floor plans, but we need insider info.”
“She can’t go in alone,” Deacon argues. “We don’t know what he has in that office. If she starts asking questions and he gets suspicious-“
You cut Deacon off by laying a hand on his shoulder and asking, “What if you go in with me? It wouldn’t be that hard for me to lie about who you are; Dupree doesn’t know most of the people who work in the building. Plus, you know what to look for better than I do.”
Hondo looks at Deacon and waits for his reply. You feel Deacon sigh against your hand before agreeing to go into the office with you.
“There’s an employee entrance without metal detectors, but you have to swipe a keycard,” you explain. “They’ll know if you piggyback with me.”
“Our techs can make him a keycard,” Hondo assures. “If you have yours, they can copy parts of it.”
You nod and pass your card to Hondo. He turns and gives it to a passing officer with a few short instructions. Deacon pats your arm as he leaves to change; his uniform isn’t business casual, but he said he'd find something more fitting.
“20 Squad is going to be close by,” Hondo begins. “Deacon can say a word and we’ll be inside, but if you need help and get separated from Deacon, try to get to a window. Signaling for help is easiest with this; just keep it in your pocket or your hand and press the button if you need us.”
You accept the small device and slide it into your pocket. It’s invisible, and you nod as Hondo reassures you everything will be okay.
“I know you can’t tell me what exactly Dupree is doing, but you’re going to catch him, right?” you ask softly.
“Absolutely. Nobody can run from S.W.A.T.”
Tumblr media
You scan your keycard and wait for Deacon to do the same before opening the door. The employee entrance is on the side of the building, and you smooth your hands over your hips nervously. When you feel the device Hondo gave you, you relax slightly.
“We’ll walk to my desk, look at a few papers, and then go in?” you suggest as Deacon gestures for you to enter.
“Sounds good,” he agrees.
“The suit looks good,” you mumble as you walk toward the elevator.
Deacon chuckles as the elevator door opens, and you smile as he shakes his head at your flattery. The elevator is quiet, and as you wait to arrive on your floor, you take a few deep breaths. Deacon’s hand finds your lower back, and he rubs small, comforting circles before the door opens.
“Still working on the paperwork issue?” Nola asks when you reach your desk.
“Yeah, we are. This is Ryan from the Santa Monica branch,” you say.
Nola’s eyes narrow at you before she looks at Deacon’s hand. He’s close to you, like always, but you don’t understand her look. You raise your brows, but she only shrugs before looking back at her computer.
“Was it this one?” you ask Deacon.
He takes the blank form from your hand and nods. “Yes, this is the one.”
You return the paper to its rightful place on your desk before leading Deacon down another hallway. Nola’s reaction confused you at first, yet you’re not surprised when Deacon gently grabs your hip to stop you in the hallway.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper.
“It’s fine. Just stay calm and remember our covers. Like you said, Dupree won’t know any difference,” Deacon soothes. “And the team’s waiting for our signal if we need them.”
You nod, and Deacon’s hands raise to your shoulders as he drops his chin to look into your eyes.
“You got this,” he promises.
Tumblr media
“I need to discuss an urgent matter with Mr. Dupree,” you inform his secretary. “This is Mr. Ryan Davidson from the Santa Monica branch. There have been some discrepancies with paperwork submitted to their office, which needs Mr. Dupree’s immediate attention.”
His secretary raises the receiver of her desk phone and whispers into it. You turn to look at Deacon, and he tilts his head to the left to signal you to stay calm and wait.
“You can go on in,” the secretary says as she lowers the phone.
Deacon opens the door for you, and you step inside first.
“Hello,” Mr. Dupree greets. He doesn’t pretend to remember your name, you notice. “I heard there’s an issue with some paperwork?”
“Yes, sir,” Deacon says. “I’m Ryan Davidson with the Santa Monica office and we’ve been having issues; receiving incomplete or incorrect paperwork from this branch.”
“My sincerest apologies, Ryan. If you don’t mind, use that laptop there and sign into your account while I bring mine up. We’ll get this sorted.”
You stand back as Deacon walks to the table at the back of the office and opens the laptop. Mr. Dupree didn’t shake his hand, ask for identification, or take other proper steps before jumping to help. It’s suspicious, but probably not what Deacon and his team need.
“What kind of incorrect information have you seen?” Mr. Dupree asks. You open your mouth to answer, and he adds, “Ryan?”
“Financial statements that aren’t matching previous months, for one. Most likely an oversight or adding the same bill twice. Nothing too extreme, just something we need sorted before the end-of-year audits,” Deacon answers.
You raise your eyebrows in surprise at his response. He practically repeated a complaint you shared during your last dinner together.
“Very well. I don’t know why the system is moving so slowly,” Dupree responds. He moves his hand under his desk as Deacon types.
You watch Dupree because Deacon’s team is getting him the access he needs. When you see the handle of a gun gripped in Dupree’s hand, you call, “Gun!” and drop to the floor just before he shoots above your head.
Deacon pulls his own weapon and points it at Dupree as he demands, “Put the gun down. I’m Sergeant Kay, L.A.P.D. S.W.A.T.”
As Deacon speaks, you slowly press your back against the side of Dupree’s desk, where he can’t see you. Deacon’s eyes are on Dupree, but you watch Deacon because you trust him to keep you safe.
“I could put it down,” Dupree says. “But if I angle it like this and pull the trigger, wouldn’t it hit your little friend?”
Deacon glances at you quickly, and you lock eyes before you shift away from the oversized desk.
“One more time: drop the gun,” Deacon repeats.
You can’t see Dupree, but you clap your hands over your ears as you hear two shots. Everything goes quiet, and you lean forward slowly to look for Deacon. He kneels before you and gently pulls your hands away from your head. You let him move you before surging forward to hug him. He welcomes you into his arms as footsteps echo in the hallway outside.
“It’s okay. We got him,” Deacon promises.
You nod against Deacon and allow him to help you stand. Deacon keeps you angled away from Dupree’s desk, and you’re happy to avoid looking.
“Did you get everything you need?” you ask quietly as Street and Luca lead a paramedic inside.
“We did. Are you okay?”
Deacon lays a hand on your shoulder, and his thumb presses gently into your tense muscles as he looks into your eyes.
“Get her out of here. Hondo said you can take the rest of the day. Maybe she can practice for the competition,” Luca calls.
“I think you need the practice more than me,” you reply without turning.
Luca laughs as Deacon wraps an arm around your shoulders and leads you out of the office. He takes you back to your desk to get your things, and Nola rushes to hug you when you enter the open area.
“I heard the shots and was so worried!” she exclaims. “You’re okay?”
“I’m fine,” you promise.
“Then I need you to do something. Go home and ask your neighbor out. Don’t wait too long,” she says.
You nod and return to Deacon’s side. He heard everything from where he was standing, yet doesn’t comment as he helps you into the passenger seat of his car. Once you’re on the road, he fills the silence by asking you questions about what you will cook for your competition with Luca. You know he’s trying to distract you from what happened, and you appreciate it.
Back at the station, you sign some paperwork to receive CI benefits before walking to Deacon’s side. He offers to drive you home and keep you company, which you happily accept. You never like leaving Deacon and don’t want to be alone tonight.
“I waited too long,” Deacon murmurs while walking you out.
You stop and turn to face him as you ask, “For what?”
“What your friend said. I waited too long to ask you out.”
You smile and slide your hand into his. “Did you know that Nola looked at us like that because you were standing really close to me?" Deacon shrugs, and you explain, “I never shut up about you, Deac. I’m in love with you, so she was confused about why I was standing so close to another man.”
“Never?” Deacon repeats playfully.
“You didn’t wait too long, Deac,” you promise.
“I didn’t?”
“Not if you take your chance right now.”
Deacon looks around quickly before yelling, “Hicks! Did you file it yet?”
“No; I’m busy, Deacon,” Hicks answers.
“Can you make her Hondo’s CI?”
Hicks looks between the two of you and rolls his eyes. “Yes, I can.”
When Deacon turns back to you, he doesn’t give you time to speak before he asks, “Will you go out with me?”
“Nothing would make me happier,” you answer.
Your smile grows to match Deacon’s, but he makes it disappear when he pulls you in and kisses you. The sound of clapping makes you open your eyes as you pull back. Hondo leads 20 Squad in a round of applause, and you bury your face in Deacon’s chest to hide your grin and burning embarrassment.
“My CI’s never end up like this,” Hondo jokes.
“Pretty good timing, though, wasn’t it?” Deacon asks as he wraps his arms around you.
Tumblr media
You stand wordlessly from the couch and walk past Deacon. He turns to watch you as you enter your bathroom and close the door. It only takes a moment for him to decide to follow you.
“Are you okay?” Deacon asks from outside the door. “And don’t just say you’re fine. We both know you’re not.”
You open the door and lean against the vanity as he walks in. “I feel bad that you had to shoot Dupree. I know he’s fine and he’ll recover, pay for him crimes, and everything. But you probably wouldn’t have done that if I wasn’t there.”
“Don’t think like that. If he had refused to drop the gun or fired again, I would have stopped him. Whether you were there or not. The only thing that was different was how fast I decided to do it; he was threatening you, but that didn’t affect my reaction itself.”
You nod, and Deacon places his hands on the vanity, caging you and keeping you close. “Don’t carry that guilt around,” he requests. “It gets heavy quickly.”
You slip your arms under Deacon’s to circle his waist. Because of your position, you look up at him and ask, “Could I have another kiss to help me overcome all of this guilt?”
Deacon laughs as his hand raises to rub your back. “Anything for my accidental CI.”
“I’m Hondo’s CI,” you remind him.
“But I’m the one that gets to kiss you, so who has the better timing?”
You let your kiss answer the question, and when Deacon pulls you against him to be even closer, you know that the wait was worth it. Though you probably won’t agree to go into the office of a weapon trafficker with him again, you will always be ready to help him when he asks and comfort him when he can’t. Despite how much you loved Deacon when you thought you could only be friends, you feel more love now that you know he feels the same.

Pokemon Mini Headcanons
Realized it's been a solid minute since I've shared anything. so! here's some pokemon headcanon tidbits that have kinda been floating around in my head but I don't have anywhere to put them yet:
Barry is extremely tall. Like, at least six feet. Since he's very visibly the goofy type, it's not super intimidating until suddenly he's barreling down the street and nearly knocking people over in his wake. He's also incredibly clumsy, so it's kind of a bull(tauros?)-in-a-china-shop situation.
Leaf is part of the team that revolutionized and maintains the PSS (not part of the original team though, she's too young for that), which is of course led by Bill. Where Bill came up with the, made the team, and did a bunch of hardware stuff, Leaf is in charge of software stuff and does coding for the different programs. As for the rest of the team. well. I don't know who they are bc I haven't gotten that far.
Also, Red's sign name for Leaf is Green, as in, literally the sign for the color (the same goes for Blue). Blue's often calls her Greenie as a result.
As Hoenn's Champion, Brendan is considered a very down-to-earth and blunt person, which is great and all until you remember he's from the ✨️bearimba pokeverse✨️'s equivalent of Florida and is basically Reigning Florida Man Supreme. He's definitely done some crazy stuff but it kinda gets shoved on the back burner (that definitely isn't partially because the media pushes his more serious side in order to fight the "all Hoennians are unhinged" allegations).
Lucas is legally deaf (deaf but not Deaf, he lost his hearing as a kid) and uses hearing aids. He can kinda sorta understand people without them, but it's less like he understands the words and more like he understands the sounds that are supposed to be word, so it's way more convenient to keep them in. Whenever he doesn't want to deal with Dawn's and Barry's shenanigans, he just turns them off, closes his eyes, and relishes in the relative peace and quiet.
He's also the one who gets transported back to Hisui during the final battle with Dialga/Palkia/Giratina. Long story short (bearimba DPPt/PLA rewrite when?), his hearing aids get destroyed in the process of getting transported and he's forced to go through the events of PLA at a huge disadvantage, mostly relying on his quick wit and vast knowledge of pokemon to survive the game.
Lorelei, Karen, and Clair are all besties, and they meet up regularly to have brunch and share the latest gossip (aka pooling together their resources to gather info on their enemies, discuss the most recent affairs in Kanto/Johto, and more, all under the guise of "girls' time").
Silver and Janine first meet when Silver gets accidentally caught up in a prank meant for the E4, for which Janine very vehemently apologizes (under threat from Koga) and Silver reluctantly forgives her (under threat from Lance). They get along surprisingly well after that, especially after they both get involved in the Kanto League as gym leaders, and they eventually become pretty good friends.
Team Rocket was kinda just a shady family business until Giovanni took over in his twenties. In the 30ish years he presided over the it, he managed to develop it into a massive, multi-level and multi-department organization with their fingers in just about every aspects of the Kanto economy before their collapse. (all things considered, it's kinda funny/pathetic how things ended---he had all this power, then just threw all that and his kid out the window because some teenager happened to beat him in a pokemon battle)
Indigo Plateau (the actual plateau itself, not the League building) is pretty unique in that it's literally a plateau in the middle of a bunch of mountains. which. isn't really how geography works. Story goes, it was originally a mountain that served as the battleground for a pair of ridiculously overpowered trainers, and it got leveled in the middle of all the fighting. In honor of the plateau's legend, there was a regularly held tournament for pokemon trainers to decide who was the best of the best in the region. Eventually, some guy decided to make it an "official" event, and that's how the Pokemon League got its start before it spread and became an international organization!

Today was kiddo's 8th-grade "Promotion Ceremony", marking their going on to High School this fall. Hard to believe...I still remember the day her dad called me to tell me she was on the way. The ceremony was very nicely done, they each got their name called (150 or so kids), and got to walk across the stage, and get their "Certificate of Promotion".
The kids were all dressed up, she was in a sweet little spring dress and had matching shoes; they had the big doin's at the College of Alameda Gym, so it was plenty loud and raucus when everybody cheered for the kids. My lower back's a little worse for the wear from having to sit on bleachers, but it was worth it.
I caught pretty much the whole thing on video, as that seems to be my duty in these matters...I've recorded every one of her middle-school band and orchestra concerts, since her dad died in early 2021, before she started jr. high.
And since she's going off for the summer to be with her cousin and uncle (her dad's brother) until August. Her mom's going to have the piano guy come out and fix the pedal and touch-up the tunning again while kiddo's gone. She's going to be in/out for the summer herself, so I'll be taking care of The Bunny Named Gerbil, which I love doin'...she knows I always give her a treat when I walk in the door.
So since I will be having a little bit of extra cash coming, and because it has been such a stressful 6-7 months around staying housed and now adjusting to new roomie, I gave myself permission to give myself a treat for having survived. Now, y'all know I'm broke as fuck, and there is never "extra" cash above bills. But since there will be "bunny money" coming, I decided I could.
What was it? Something I've wanted for a long, long time: a very nice example of the final 11-inch MacBook Air, with 8GB RAM soldered in, from early 2015. It's got Thunderbolt and USB3, and uses a 128GB SSD blade that I can replace with a faster 1TB blade for pretty cheap.
And with a slightly newer (by three years) design, it will run on Catalina (the final OS X), as well as Big Sur (OS 11) and Monterey (OS 12), and since it will be strictly a writing and tumblr machine, I can leave my two mid-2012 machines at my preferred OS versions for both. The tower needs El Capitan for the piano software plugin I use with my keyboard. The MacBook Pro is sitting at High Sierra, which still works with the software I use for the keyboard and for graphics.
So with this little machine to take over the lightweight stuff, I'll be much more apt to update the OS to either Catalina or I may go all the way up to OS 12...I'll see how it handles Catalina first.
It's responsive, quick, and is light-years different from the last Air I had (2010 "Core 2 Duo" with only 2GB RAM!), oh, what a pokey little thing that was...this one feels up to the challenge, with 8GB. Firefox launches fast and is just as quick as I'm used to, so I'm happy.
And the cool part was it was only $129, $141 with tax. From a certified Mac refurbisher, and it's immaculate...everything works, it has backlit keys (YAY!) and so far has been rock solid.
So yippee for a new toy.
I earned it.

What I think would happen if all of the Domhnall characters I know we’re put together in a battle Royale to the death
in this scenario they would have whatever they would typically have on their person in their movies. So Hux has his blaster and knives, Bill has his wand, any of them that have powers or enhancements keep them.
if they refuse to fight, then they get instantly killed
(none of these gifs are mine, the creators are listed bellow them. If you made one of these Gifs and you don't want it on this post let me know)
——————————————————————————————
right off the bat without hesitating or contemplating the situation he’s in, Hux shoots Thomas Burberry and then shoots Stensland. They’re easy targets quick to get out of the way. Eliminate the competition, besides everyone else was hesitating.
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/resurgentclass-stardestroyer)
now, while everyone’s shocked at what just happened, Techie is hacking into Ash’s software and shutting him down
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/collinear)
Tim tries to go runoff to find a dark confined space so he can time travel and prevent this whole thing from happening (without explaining what he's doing of course), but as he’s running off, Gabriel shoots him
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/humanveil)
now Gabriel and Hux are having a shoot out
meanwhile Bill is fighting Thomas McGregor. And you might be thinking Thomas is just a normal guy. There’s no way he’s going to even stand a chance against this literal wizard. But you see, first of all Bill doesn’t really want to have to kill anyone. But he has to make it look like he’s fighting or else he’ll die. He also realized there’s something weird about Thomas. He can send him flying 50 feet in the air, but he’ll bounce when he lands like he’s a rubber ball. Because yes guys, cartoon violence is a superpower.
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/chazzmemes)
anyway Hux, ends up winning the shoot out because he’s wearing a blaster proof vest, no one can tell me otherwise that he doesn’t have this on his person constantly. He’s way too paranoid to not have that shit.
but then the one nonthreatening easy kill left, because Bill is still messing with Thomas (mostly because he finds it kind of funny), is Techie. And I know realistically Hux would never. But they’re not related in this universe, they don’t know each other, and this is a death match that Hux intends to win. Techie isn’t even fighting, at best he’s used Ash’s mechanics to make a makeshift shield while everyone was fighting, and he doesn’t really want to win anyway.
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/resurgentclass-stardestroyer)
but just as Hux is about to take the shot, Bill hits Techie with a protection spell and uses expelliarmus to knock the blaster out of Hux’s hand.
But Hux still has a hidden blade on his person. He makes it look like he’s going to go for Bill or Techie when he instead goes for Thomas who is no longer fighting Bill since Bill is protecting Techie. Unfortunately, cartoon violence isn’t going to do anything when you have a knife stabbing into your Chest.
now it’s just Techie, Bill, and Hux. Bill is protecting Techie and even though he doesn’t blame Hux for the murder because of the situation they’re in, He also isn’t going to let Hux win. And Hux does not stand a chance. This is a very intelligent curse breaker who graduated with top grades at Hogwarts and was reportedly very good at dueling. He knows both defensive and offensive spells and he probably can do a bit of hand-to-hand combat too even if it’s not as good as Hux’s.
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/mugglenet) Hux’s best bet is getting the wand out of Bill’s hand because spellcasting will be more difficult for him then. And he certainly tries. lunging at Bill getting in as many hits as he can. Though Bill is kind of letting him, so that he feels like he at least did something before he loses. Hux could potentially use threatening Techie as a barging chip but Bill is blocking him and he’s still protected by magic, so eventually Hux tires himself out and Bill kills him. NOT WITH Avada Kedavra, I know it’s painless or whatever but it’s so taboo I just don’t think Bill would think to do that.
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/randofandomtrash)
well, then it’s just Techie and Bill. Techie tells Bill to kill him, saying he doesn’t want to win and that he doesn’t deserve to win anyway, he won’t be upset because he knows it’s what Bill needs to do. Bill refuses at first but Techie goes on saying if they don’t fight then they’ll both die so he’d rather one of them win. And whether he choses to just let Bill kill him or actually try to fight back Bill would obviously win either way. So it’s pointless.
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/sherrenaz)
but Bill just can’t do it. So he casts a sleeping spell and acts as if he’s killed Techie hoping it works. in my version of the story it does as the fighters did not know, but they didn’t actually have to kill each other. They only had to make it unable for the other to fight.
but if you want to be mean, it doesn’t work and they both die, or Bill does kill Techie and he survives.
anyway Bill is the winner!
(to no ones surprise)
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/braveclementine)
But Hux has the most kills.
(as always)
Tumblr media
(Gif by @/killawayfanboys)
Bill Weasley (Harry Potter)- 1 Kill, 1 KO
Techie (Dredd)- 1 Kill (Kinda, it was an android)
Armitage Hux (Star Wars)- 4 Kills
Thomas Mcgregor (Peter Rabbit)- 0 Kills
Gabriel O'malley (The Kitchen)- 1 Kill
Tim (About Time)- 0 Kills
Ash Stammer Android (Black Mirror)- 0 Kills
Stensland (Cras Pad)- 0 Kills
Thomas Burberry (Burberry Ad)- 0 Kills

Day 26: Android/Cyborg
“...and that’s why you’re just better off without them. Are you listening to me?”
“Yes, Dean.”
Crossing his arms, he looks at Cas in the eyes from across the kitchen table, “Then what’d I say?”
“You went on and on about why this phone is better than that phone. For the umpteenth time.”
Looking at the bill in front of him, he points to the upgrade that Castiel can now have, “You have an upgrade, Cas. You can pick any phone you want. Why in the hell will you stick with an Apple phone? You’ve got your pick from Android, my personal favorite, Google Pixel-”
“It’s just a phone, Dean.”
Sighing, Dean stares kind of disheartened at his portion of the bill, “I still have about three months with mine.”
“And you want to trade it in so bad already. The only thing wrong with yours is the screen.”
“Protector. Screen protector. But I wanna get a new one too,” Dean whines.
“I don’t even want an upgrade. There’s nothing wrong with my phone.”
“No. Except it’s starting to drop calls, your pictures are blurry when you send shit to me, your Messenger sucks hardcore-”
“I thought it was just a software update I needed.”
“That’s Apple products for ya. They don’t give a shit. They’re just like that N’Sync song, buy, buy, buy but with a U, not like, goodbye. Anyways, that’s how they getcha.”
Looking at his phone, Cas makes a quick phone call.
“Hello?”
“Hey, Gabriel.”
“Hi, Cassie!”
Sighing, he ignores his dreaded nickname from his older brother, “Gabriel, you have an Android phone, right?”
“Talking to you on it right now. Why?”
“Time for an upgrade-”
“Oh, sweet. Yeah. There’s a reason why I ditched my iPhone. It was-”
Cas is listening to hear what’s next in his sentence but when he looks at his screen, it’s on his wallpaper of him and Dean kissing with fireworks going on in the background. Dean looks at him from his plate of eggs and bacon, “Did he hang up?”
“I think.”
Nodding, Dean tears a piece of bacon, “Or did it drop the call? Again.”
Sighing, Cas searches for Gabriel’s number in his cell. Before he even has time to hit Call, Gabriel is calling him.
“Gabriel?”
“Why did you hang up on me? I was talking for a good two minutes until I realized I was talking to nobody!”
“His phone sucks!” Dean hollers from the back as he retrieves his second mug of coffee, “Talk some sense into your brother!”
“Dean, quiet. I’m on the phone.”
“Not for long”, Dean mutters under his breath.
Cas throws him a frown, “I will spit in your coffee, Dean.”
“Oh, please. You say that so much, it’s lost all threat.”
Shaking his head, he goes back to his phone only to be shown his wallpaper again. Exhaling hard, he looks at Dean who has a smug smile on his face.
“Dropped again, huh?” Dean fishes out his phone from his hotdog pants, “Wanna use mine? I bet you can stay on the phone with Gabe’s little ass longer.”
Squinting his eyes at his husband, Cas grabs the phone from his outstretched hand, “I hate you so much right now.”
“Lost meaning too,” Dean laughs as he shoves a forkful of eggs in his mouth.
When Cas goes into the next room to make his phone call, Dean takes Cas’ phone to try to make a call.
Calling Sam, he puts his phone to his ear.
“Hey, Cas. What did Dean do this time?”
“The fuck? That’s the reason he calls you all the time?”
“Oh. Hahaha, uh, hi Dean.”
“Uh-huh. He doesn’t call just to say hi and shit?”
“He does. About two days ago we were talking about fish tacos.”
“Fish tacos?”
“Yeah. If made just right, they are pretty good but nothing compare-”
“Compared to what? Beef? Steak? Hello? Sam?”
Looking at the screen, he knows the call dropped. Laughing out loud, “Cas! Your phone sucks more dick than you!”
When he comes back into the kitchen, he slides Dean’s phone to him.
“So what did you and your brother talk about? He agrees with me, huh? It’s time to switch, Babe.”
Dean slides him his phone back. Cas looks at it, sadly, “I’m sorry, ol’ gal. I think it’s time to let you go.”
“Get the new Samsung one, Cas. That one looks awesome.”
“I’m saying goodbye, Dean!”
Putting his hands up in surrender, Dean simply rolls his eyes, “I’m gonna go get dressed. We could hit up the AT&T store before we gotta go grocery shop.”
“Fine.”
When they get to the store, Sam calls Dean. As soon as he pulls his phone out of his pocket, he drops it just outside the store; having it smash onto the sidewalk curb grill and down its drain. Both Dean and Cas look at each other, mouths agape.
“What the fuck?! My phone!”
Going on his hands and knees, Dean tries to fish it out but his arms are too big. Leaving him, Cas goes inside the store. Coming back out, a woman shines her phone’s flashlight into the drain, “Let me help you, sir.”
“Thanks.”
When she pulls it out, the phone is completely cracked. Dean tries to turn it on but hears the water sloshing around inside.
“Good thing you’re at an AT&T store, right?” The woman nervously chuckles.
“I guess.”
Walking inside, he sees Cas eyeing the display phones, “Cas? I’m getting a new one too.”
“Perfect. I’ll get the newest Apple, my husband wants the newest Android.”
“What? We’ve been over this, Cas!”

Touching is Good: A Retrospective
My trusty Nintendo 3DS, which has held out since I was gifted it for my 15th birthday, has turned one decade old with my 25th birthday this past November. Given new life with custom firmware and nds-bootstrap via TWiLightMenu, the 3DS is stellar for visiting any past handheld title or console title up to (and somewhat including) the N64. (Quick plug for the CFW/hacking community for the less popular PS Vita, too, which has accomplished some pretty crazy-cool stuff this last year.) I use my 3DS more often than I use my Nintendo Switch most weeks.
The Nintendo DS (minus the three) launched in late 2004. The second display and stylus support were novel tools for developers to experiment with, and the NDS is best remembered for its robust catalogue of RPGs and visual novels. Where it lacked in power, narrative-focused games flourished under its technical limitations.
That being said, while browsing the ROM archives on Vimm's Lair to pick up some titles, I was reminded of what an interesting era the mid-to-late 2000s were for games. While Sony and Microsoft were fighting over the "core gamer" demographic, who had outgrown Nintendo mascots, Nintendo led a series of wildly successful marketing campaigns for its hardware after the light failure of the Gamecube, where the Nintendo DS and then the Wii were targeted at...everyone else.
Tumblr media
[Image source. Image description in alt text.]
If you look at ads for the DS and the Wii, you'll see that adults are featured much more prominently than children, especially women and seniors. (This did not go unnoticed, as I found this ancient relic of misogyny while looking for images for this post.) A Nintendo handheld was already an easy sell to parents with small children (though I think it's also notable that ads which do focus on children often prominently feature girls. Munchlax is pretty hot...), but Nintendo's angle for the DS and Wii was that their hardware wasn't just for children. The Wii was a way to get up off the couch and to play board games with grandma. The DS was a great gadget for a working woman to keep in her pocketbook.
This worked. The Wii and DS were two of the best-selling consoles of all time. In particular, the DS's marketing campaign only worked because it came out in the perfect window of time. PDA-phone hybrids had been around since the 90s, and the Blackberry had been kicking around for a few years, but the iPhone wouldn't be introduced until 2007, and the 4G LTE standard wouldn't be released until 2009. While the Blackberry was popular with businesspeople and the PDA was out of style, smartphones were luxury toys for several years; they wouldn't become near-ubiquious until the mid-2010s. I didn't get my own smartphone until probably around the same time I got my 3DS, a full handheld generation later.
Browsing the software library for the Nintendo DS and DSi with that in mind is really interesting. Many titles released for the platform serve the same purposes that would be fulfilled by simple smartphone apps less than a decade later: planners and diaries, fitness trackers, calculators, language learning and SAT prep software, even a guide to the then-most-recent version of the driver's test in the UK. These proliferated with the release of the DSi's virtual store, but they existed even with the base model. You could go to a brick-and-mortar store and buy them on physical cartridges. (You might be wondering, "Why would you bother carrying those around over just buying a Blackberry?" You can't underestimate how expensive the service bills for a smartphone were before companies realized they were the most powerful spyware tool in history.)
There was never a time where every single businesswoman in New York carried a DS Lite, but adults did buy and use them, and a not insignificant portion of the DS's software library is aimed at a casual adult audience. Another niche covered mostly by smartphone games these days—games designed to be picked up and played in short sessions on-the-go, in places like waiting rooms and subway commutes.
Nintendo made crazy bank in the seventh console generation. Publications of the time talked about a console war between Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, but the real battle was between the PS3 and the Xbox 360 over the gamer demographic. Nintendo was producing hardware for a niche who would quietly disappear once smartphone sales began ballooning by hundreds of millions per year over the course of the early 2010s.
After the failure of the Wii U, Nintendo's marketing strategy pivoted again, though I doubt they'll ever completely abandon their family-friendly image. Currently beat out only by the PS2 and the DS, the Nintendo Switch may very well climb to a status as the best-selling console of all time before the end of its lifespan, but the "gamer" demographic is much bigger than it was two decades ago at the dawn of the DS. As more and more devices become consolidated into the Swiss army knife the smartphone has become, consoles can only carve out a role as dedicated gaming machines.
I'm not sure we'll ever see anything like the Nintendo DS or the Wii again. I think they're worth looking back on for their uniqueness in that way as much as they are for the more celebrated parts of their libraries.

Note
I don't remember if you already answered this, sorry in advance if you have, but what are your thoughts on the Bernette 79 Yaya Han edition sewing machine + embroidery machine? I consider myself a cosplayer and a lolita (Yaya is, as far I can recall, a cosplayer but not a lolita), and I've only ever sewn on a vintage Singer in a table and a Hello Kitty Janome. I don't see myself using the embroider option a lot since I embroider by hand, so that part would be taking up space unless I put in the effort to learn. On the other hand, it's a pretty shade of purple and is meant to sew over a variety of costuming fabrics which cannot be said of my current machine. It seems like a lot of extra stuff I probably don't need or have time to learn about if I do need them, but preliminary research seems to show it's a great value for the price (unless you break it). Or do you have any other recommendations in the same line? Thanks again for all your diligence and hard-earned expertise!
Okay, so I just sold one of those to someone whose other machines are a Hello Kitty Janome and a vintage Singer in a table, and I had to immediately check if you and them were the same person. So if you're Singer in a table is a 201, you should really meet my other customers.
Also quick note to everyone who is interested in this machine: you can buy it from the company that I work for. It's an internet model, so I can sell it to anyone in the USA. I can price match anyone else selling it. If you buy it from me, I get credit for the sale and I make commission (but it doesn't cost you anything). So if you want a Bernette b79 Yaya Han edition, or probably any other sewing machine, please shoot me an ask and I'll give y'all my work email or my sale code.
So I personally don't like Yaya as a person, but the B79 is a pretty good deal if it's what you're looking for. The fact that it's got embroidery and it has the digitizing software is really the thing that pushes it into the really good price point. On the sewing side, the foot kit is a really good perk, especially because not a lot of places keep feet in stock that work with the dual feed.
But if you're really not interested in the embroidery, I'd suggest just getting the Bernette b77, which is the sewing-only version of the b79 (if you want the embroidery-only version of the b79, you're looking for the b70Deco). It's going to be about a thousand dollars cheaper. It, sadly, is not purple, but that's nothing a few stickers can't fix. My store's current price on the Yaya 79 is $2499 and our price on the b77 is $1499, so it's literally a thousand dollars.
(Or, if you're absolutely insane, you can get some Cricut infusible ink paper and an EasyPress mini and sublimate onto the front of your machine. It's the kind of plastic that takes sublimation. Isn't that absolutely bonkers wild?)
That said, if you're willing to spend the extra money, you would be getting embroidery with a very large hoop size (for a beginning sewing machine, anyway), the foot kit, the built-in stitches and designs, and Creator9. I tell creative people who are interested in embroidery machines that you should not consider embroidery software to be optional. There's a lifetime worth of fun premade designs and projects in the hoop, and most people are happy to jut use those, but most of the people who are in my age range would not feel like they're getting everything out of their embroidery machine if they can't digitize goofy ideas from scratch. Creator 9 is like a thousand dollars normally, so it's what I find really pushes the price of the Yaya machine into the "really good deal" range, if you ask me. But, if you're not interested in embroidery, it's not really worth paying the extra money.
Anyway, if you're interested, please buy from me because it won't cost you more and it helps me pay my utility bills.

Can Open Source Integration Services Speed Up Response Time in Legacy Systems?
Legacy systems are still a key part of essential business operations in industries like banking, logistics, telecom, and manufacturing. However, as these systems get older, they become less efficient—slowing down processes, creating isolated data, and driving up maintenance costs. To stay competitive, many companies are looking for ways to modernize without fully replacing their existing systems. One effective solution is open-source integration, which is already delivering clear business results.
Tumblr media
Why Faster Response Time Matters
System response time has a direct impact on business performance. According to a 2024 IDC report, improving system response by just 1.5 seconds led to a 22% increase in user productivity and a 16% rise in transaction completion rates. This means increased revenue, customer satisfaction as well as scalability in industries where time is of great essence.
Open-source integration is prominent in this case. It can minimize latency, enhance data flow and make process automation easier by allowing easier communication between legacy systems and more modern applications. This makes the systems more responsive and quick.
Key Business Benefits of Open-Source Integration
Lower Operational Costs
Open-source tools like Apache Camel and Mule eliminate the need for costly software licenses. A 2024 study by Red Hat showed that companies using open-source integration reduced their IT operating costs by up to 30% within the first year.
Real-Time Data Processing
Traditional legacy systems often depend on delayed, batch-processing methods. With open-source platforms using event-driven tools such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, businesses can achieve real-time messaging and decision-making—improving responsiveness in areas like order fulfillment and inventory updates.
Faster Deployment Cycles: Open-source integration supports modular, container-based deployment. The 2025 GitHub Developer Report found that organizations using containerized open-source integrations shortened deployment times by 43% on average. This accelerates updates and allows faster rollout of new services.
Scalable Integration Without Major Overhauls
Open-source frameworks allow businesses to scale specific parts of their integration stack without modifying the core legacy systems. This flexibility enables growth and upgrades without downtime or the cost of a full system rebuild.
Industry Use Cases with High Impact
Banking
Integrating open-source solutions enhances transaction processing speed and improves fraud detection by linking legacy banking systems with modern analytics tools.
Telecom
Customer service becomes more responsive by synchronizing data across CRM, billing, and support systems in real time.
Manufacturing
Real-time integration with ERP platforms improves production tracking and inventory visibility across multiple facilities.
Why Organizations Outsource Open-Source Integration
Most internal IT teams lack skills and do not have sufficient resources to manage open-source integration in a secure and efficient manner. Businesses can also guarantee trouble-free setup and support as well as improved system performance by outsourcing to established providers. Top open-source integration service providers like Suma Soft, Red Hat Integration, Talend, TIBCO (Flogo Project), and Hitachi Vantara offer customized solutions. These help improve system speed, simplify daily operations, and support digital upgrades—without the high cost of replacing existing systems.

Cost of Setting Up an Electric Vehicle Charging Station in India (2025 Guide)
Tumblr media
With India accelerating its transition to electric mobility, the demand for EV charging stations is growing rapidly. Whether you're a business owner, real estate developer, or green tech enthusiast, setting up an electric vehicle (EV) charging station is a promising investment. But how much does it really cost to build one? Let's break it down.
Before diving into the costs, it's important to understand the types of EV chargers and the scope of services provided by modern EV charging solution providers like Tobor, a rising name in the EV infrastructure space offering smart, scalable, and efficient EV charging solutions across India.
Types of EV Charging Stations
Understanding the charger types is essential, as this heavily influences the overall cost:
1. AC Charging Stations
AC (Alternating Current) chargers are typically used for slower charging applications, ideal for residential societies, office complexes, and commercial locations with longer dwell times.
Level 1 Chargers: 3.3 kW output, suitable for two- and three-wheelers.
Level 2 Chargers: 7.2 kW to 22 kW, suitable for four-wheelers (e.g., home or workplace).
2. DC Fast Charging Stations
DC (Direct Current) chargers are used where quick charging is required, such as highways, malls, or public parking zones.
DC Fast Chargers: Start from 30 kW and go up to 350 kW.
They can charge an electric car from 0 to 80% in under an hour, depending on the vehicle.
Cost Breakdown for EV Charging Station Setup
The total cost to set up an electric car charging station in India can vary depending on the type of charger, infrastructure, and location. Here is a detailed breakdown:
1. EV Charging Equipment Cost
The cost of the electric car charger itself is one of the biggest components:
AC Chargers: ₹50,000 to ₹1.5 lakh
DC Fast Chargers: ₹5 lakh to ₹40 lakh (depending on capacity and standards like CCS, CHAdeMO, Bharat DC-001)
Tobor offers a range of chargers including TOBOR Lite (3.3 kW), TOBOR 7.2 kW, and TOBOR 11 kW – suitable for home and commercial use.
2. Infrastructure Costs
You’ll also need to invest in site preparation and power infrastructure:
Land Lease or Purchase: Costs vary widely by city and location.
Electrical Upgrades: Transformer, cabling, and power grid integration can cost ₹5 to ₹10 lakh.
Civil Work: Parking bays, shelter, lighting, signage, and accessibility features – ₹2 to ₹5 lakh.
Installation: Depending on charger type and electrical capacity, installation can range from ₹50,000 to ₹3 lakh.
3. Software & Networking Costs
Smart EV charging stations are often connected to networks for billing, load management, and user access:
EVSE Management Software: ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh depending on features (Tobor integrates smart software as part of its offering).
Mobile App Integration: Enables users to find, reserve, and pay at your station.
OCPP Protocols: Ensures interoperability and scalability of your station.
4. Operational & Maintenance Costs
Running an EV charging station includes recurring costs:
Electricity Bills: ₹5–₹15 per kWh, depending on the state and provider.
Internet Connectivity: ₹1,000–₹2,000 per month for online monitoring.
Station Maintenance: ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh annually.
Staff Salaries: If you have on-site attendants, this could range ₹1 to ₹3 lakh annually.
Marketing: ₹50,000 or more for signage, promotions, and digital visibility.
Total Investment Required
Here’s an estimate of the total cost based on the scale of your EV charging station:
Type
Estimated  Range
Level 1 (Basic AC)
₹1 lakh – ₹3 lakh
Level 2 (Commercial AC)
₹3 lakh – ₹6 lakh
DC Fast Charging Station
₹10 lakh – ₹40 lakh
These costs can vary based on customization, location, and electricity load availability. Tobor offers tailored solutions to help you choose the right hardware and software based on your needs.
Government Support and Subsidies
To promote EV adoption and reduce the cost of EV infrastructure:
FAME II Scheme: Offers capital subsidies for charging stations.
State Incentives: States like Delhi, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Gujarat offer reduced electricity tariffs, subsidies up to 25%, and faster approvals.
Ease of Licensing: As per Ministry of Power guidelines, EV charging is a de-licensed activity, making it easier to start.
Return on Investment (ROI)
An EV charging station in a good location with growing EV traffic can break even in 3 to 5 years. Revenue comes from:
Charging fees (per kWh or per session)
Advertisement and partnerships
Value-added services (e.g., parking, cafés, shopping zones nearby)
Final Thoughts
With India's electric mobility market booming, setting up an EV charging station is not only a sustainable choice but also a profitable long-term investment. Whether you're a fleet operator, business owner, or infrastructure developer, now is the perfect time to invest.
For reliable equipment, integrated software, and end-to-end EV charging solutions, Tobor is one of the leading EV charging solution providers in India. From residential setups to large-scale commercial EVSE projects, Tobor supports every step of your journey toward green mobility.

I saw a post in one of those au's where desmonds ancestors can hear desmond and know desmond is controlling them, and one of the head canons was that haythem couldn't hear desmond and he immediately desynchronized twice because of how weird it was so I wanna do something with that😀
I sighed. "Here we go again." And with that, I passed out.
I opened my eyes, rubbing the blur out of them. I looked around, I was back in the animus. The large expansive void surrounded me.
A voice cut through the silence. "Desmond?" Rebecca called out.
"Do you hear us?" Bill asked
I groaned, trying to ignore the pain in my head. "Yeah, what happened?"
"The temple triggered a bleeding effect. You collapsed and entered into a fugue state." Bill explained.
"So naturally, you dropped me in the animus instead of... I don't know, making sure I was okay?"
Bill sighed, "You weren't in any real danger. Besides, the temple seemed to be communicating with you, I didn't want to sever the connection. At least not until we knew what it wanted."
Well, he wasn't wrong. Juno clearly wanted me to find a key, but still, throwing me into the animus right after I got out of my coma was a dick move.
"Right, of course." I stated clearly agitated.
"Son, I..." He trailed off.
"No, it's fine, I get it. And I know what I'M looking for, by the way. It's a key. Just no idea where it is, though... Guess that's why she triggered the bleeding effect."
"She?" Bill asked.
"Juno, dad. She's... talking to me."
He stayed silent.
My surroundings faded. Once my vision cleared, I was in some kind of obstacle course. Rebecca's voice cut through again.
"Okay, Desmond, while you were, uh, visiting Constantinople, we picked up a new software update for the animus. I'd like to run a couple of quick tests to make sure there are no issues."
I sighed. I decided that while I do the course, I could prepare myself for meeting a new ancestor. I wasn't sure whether to be nervous or excited.
Rebecca gave me instructions, but I tuned them out, I already knew what to do.
From what I saw from the bleeding effect, maybe they were from England, from what I saw it was farther ahead in time them Ezio, maybe in the 1700s.
I guess I wouldn't know till I met him, I just had to hope he wouldn't freak out.
I jumped down from the rooftop. The animus glitched a few times as it loaded.
The world began to build itself. I sighed, preparing myself.
I felt my body shift. I looked down to see that I was in a different body. I grasped the hilt of my sword. I looked around, based on the building and the way people were dressed I was pretty sure I was right about this being the 1700s.
I began to walk forward. As I did, I called out in my mind. "Hey, who are you?"
Silence.
I blinked with Altair he freaked out and thought I was a ghost, Ezio thought I was some kind of other worldly being, but now... silence.
"Hello, anyone here?" I got no response.
Can he not hear me? I felt the world around me begin to glitch again, I tried to calm myself, but I soon felt a twinge of pain as I desynchronized.
I was now back at the beginning of the stone path. Could this guy really not hear me? Now that I thought about it, I did feel more... disconnected from him than I did with Ezio and Altair.
It felt more like I was watching in 3rd person and less like I was sharing their body.
"Sir? Are you alright." A man asked me.
"Yes, I'm fine, just preoccupied is all."
This honestly felt so weird. I wanted to ask who that man was, but I knew I wouldn't get a response. Was this a new update to the animus.
And with that, I felt the familiar spike of pain jolt through my body, desynchronization.
"Desmond, are you alright?" Rebecca asked.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, just... being in the animus again is... strange." It was half of the truth.
"Alright, just tell us if you need a break, okay?"
"Okay." I stated.
I took a deep breath, steadying myself. This was going to be a long animus session.
