Next, breaking this up. Anyone can join, I just need people to help organize this, and the plan is we sort it up by character/group, and eventually break it down into chapters, ordered by what would make sense in a basic plot structure. Then we will start figuring out technical things such as who is writing what.
Simply send me an ask or message if you're interested in helping me organize this!
And, if you have any and all suggestions, feel free to tell me!

Hey! I absolutely loved your Zuko x reader one host you wrote, and I was wondering if you could do one where Zuko and the reader barely talk, but she’s part of Azula’s friend group. At the beach some stuff happens, and Zuko finds out she’s not as crazy as he thought she was. Kind of angst. I totally understand if you can’t, or don’t feel like it! I hope you’re safe and healthy, and everything is going well. Thank you!
From Eden (Zuko x Reader)
Word Count: 1,776 (FUHREEDOM MOTHERFUCKERS 🎆🦅🦅🦅 🎆 )
Author’s Note: Ok this request is P E R F E C T. I don’t think I need to tell anyone I love the psychology of this show, but I love the psychology of this show - especially with Zuko and his relationship with himself and others. And this episode??? Ohhhhhh I have some THINGS. TO. SAY. about this episode. I have been in this boy’s place and I feel 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 him 👏🏻 he 👏🏻 deserves 👏🏻 better 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I went in a sliiiiiiightly different direction, but I didn’t drastically change it (it turned out cute I think). Also, I named this “From Eden” because as I was writing it reminded me of the Hozier song. I’m such a sucker for a Broken Babe™, especially when the babe in question has a lot of personal growth and learns to love because of it. Thank you so much for this, anon, you’re absolutely gorgeous and I hope you’re keeping safe and healthy as well ❤

(Also, if you’d like to request something, I have a list of prompts tagged! Feel free to ask for anything from fics to headcanons to imagines - I’m also open to new character suggestions!)
“Hey.”
Zuko sat on the porch of his family’s old vacation home, his mind miles away. Your greeting made him snap his head towards you, glowering down at where you stood at the base of the front steps. You crossed your arms, responding to his gaze with a defiant glare.
“What do you want?” he growled.
“To have normal friends,” you spat in reply. “Seems I’m stuck with you instead.”
A few hours ago, Zuko almost made a crater in the beach from the campfire you, his sister Azula, and your friends Mai and Ty Lee had started a screaming match around. Insults were flung, tears were shed, and skeletons were evicted from closets, all resulting in your realization that maybe political survival wasn’t worth the dysfunction of constantly being surrounded by a sociopath and her cronies. Pretending to have a super fun sleepover with them back at the guest house was proving to be too much for your fragile sense of self-containment, and you weren’t quite friendly enough with your newfound death wish to tell Azula how you really felt about her, so you went where you knew it would be quiet. You didn’t expect to find Zuko and his anger issues there a second time, but he honestly didn’t scare you - you’d take his obvious rage over Azula’s subtle calculations any day.
“I don’t know why you’re complaining,” Zuko jeered. “You’re just as emotionally fucked as the rest of them.”
“Ty Lee’s got herself pretty much under control, despite her gullibility,” you answered cooly. “Also, if you really wanna talk about emotionally fucked, I’m not the one who almost roasted my ex-girlfriend alive earlier.”
Zuko furrowed his brow at you, leaning forward as if to challenge you. You stayed exactly as you were, regarding him with a hard, unimpressed expression that revealed just how little he intimidated you. You couldn’t bend and weren’t a trained fighter - you knew he knew this, and that he wouldn’t actually attack you, despite how convincing he tried to make his empty threat appear. After a long, intense moment of wrinkled foreheads and competitive frowning, he backed off with a sigh, leaning back against the pillar behind him.
“So, what, you want to come and make peace? Talk it out or something?”
You shook your head, climbing the steps and lowering yourself onto the second highest; just below him, with a few feet between you as a courtesy.
“The last thing I want to do is talk about that dumpster fire on the beach,” you told him. “I just needed some time alone. But, since I found you, I guess it’s a good time to ask if you’re okay.”
Zuko looked you up and down, a confused and partially concerned look on his face. You half expected him to raise the back of his hand to your forehead to check for fever.
“What do you care if I’m okay or not?” he asked bitterly. “We’re not friends.”
“Zuko, I’ve known you since I was a toddler,” you said. “I’d say we’re friends. It’s not like anyone else really is.”
“Mai is my girlfriend,” Zuko snapped at you. “She’s the best friend I have!”
“Mai dumped you for being a possessive asshole,” you deadpanned, “then she let her best friend convince you to commit arson. Friends don’t let their friends’ sisters manipulate them into felonies.”
Zuko huffed, slumping back defeatedly.
“You can’t act like Azula’s never made you do anything you didn’t want to,” he grumbled.
“I don’t,” you replied shortly. “I’ve just stopped caring about making her like me, since she really doesn’t like anyone. She doesn't get under my skin like she used to when we were kids.”
You noticed Zuko’s lips curl upwards into the ghost of a smile. You mirrored him, leaning your arms atop your upright knees.
“What?” you asked.
Zuko chuckled faintly, shaking his head.
“Nothing,” he responded. “You just… Do you remember when you were eight, and Azula teased Ty Lee about being too slow climbing the trees in our courtyard?”
Your eyes widened in realization, your mouth parting into a wide smile as you let out a gasp of hysterical laughter.
“Oh, that was awful!” you cried, though the memory only brought more fits of giggles to your gut. “I was such a little brat!”
Zuko was laughing with you too now, arms wrapped over his stomach as he tried to speak between breaths.
“It was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen!” he exclaimed. “Watching her fall out of the tree like that, the shock on her face, and then I caught you with the knife and saw where you cut the branch... She deserved it. You should give her a taste of her own medicine like that more often.”
You blushed, looking away from him as your laughter died down.
“Now she could kill me if she wanted,” you said. “I try not to say or do anything around her if I can help it.”
“... Is that why you’ve been so quiet since then?”
You nodded.
“She beat me up when she found out what I did,” you explained.
You stood, pulling down the waist of your sarong to reveal the burn scar on your right hip. Zuko’s eyes burst with shock at first, wondering exactly why you’d be disrobing in front of him, his expression softening when he saw the mark Azula left.
“I’m sorry,” he murmured. “Most brothers feel like they should protect their little sisters. I always felt like I should’ve protected all of you from her.”
“You did,” you assured him. You sat back down beside him, closer this time, so that your hips almost touched. “I remember you jumped in front of her once when she threatened us. And that time…”
Your voice faded, the memory almost bringing tears to your eyes. You couldn’t figure out why.
“You hid from her,” Zuko finished your thought.
You nodded.
“You let me hide in your room,” you recalled. “Remember? Azula punched me. I ran to the first quiet place I could find and accidentally went to your room.”
Zuko hummed.
“You were crying,” he added, “and your eye was all red and swollen.”
“You held me.”
Zuko’s eyes fixed on you. He didn’t say anything, though he remembered; you burst through his half open door, sniffling, tears and spittle running down your cheeks and chin. It was the first time Azula had actually, physically hurt you, and you were terrified and confused. He asked if you were okay, and you shook your head. Being so young, the only thing he could think to do was hug you, since that’s what his mother did to make him feel better, and you clung to him, sobbing into his shirt and using his much bigger body for protection. After that day, he let you use his bedroom as a hiding place whenever Azula got to be too much - until she found out about it and started teasing you about wedding dresses and baby names.
“We were friends,” you breathed. “I wish we still were.”
There was a long silence in which the two of you stared out at the horizon, down the steep hill leading to the vacation house and into the ocean. The moon hung in a small sliver, barely flickering across the calm waters that rocked below; you could hear the gentle rush of waves as they crawled over the sand and shrunk back into themselves, creating a calming din that echoed up to where you sat.
“... I still remember your favorite game to play with me,” Zuko said into the warm air between you. “Those times you hid in my room. You used to pretend to be a Kyoshi warrior. My mom gave you one of her old fans and we’d jump on and off my bed, trying to catch each other.”
You grinned.
“I would wrap myself around your legs to keep you from walking,” you recalled.
Zuko laughed.
“I loved that,” he admitted. “It used to make me laugh so hard when we were kids.”
He looked over to you, and you turned to face him as well. The anger in his eyes was gone completely, in its place a warm, steady sadness that made you ache.
“I miss you,” he whispered.
You reached cautiously for his hand, relieved when he slid his fingers between yours and gripped your palm tightly.
“I miss you, too,” you replied. “I’m sorry I let Azula drive me away from you.”
Zuko wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a tender embrace. Your hands latched together on either side of his back, gripping into his shirt a little bit as you buried your face in his shoulder. He felt and smelled the same as he did when you were little; hard like the walls of a sturdy house and sweet like the last embers in a fireplace.
You didn’t know how long you held each other, but when you broke apart, you sat together for ages, existing in silence on the steps of his childhood house and beside one another. You felt small again, but in the best way - you felt like the girl who was brave enough to cut through the branches of a maple tree so your tormenter would fall out of them.
“I want to run away,” you blurted. “I could be someone totally different if I weren’t stuck here.”
“If you do, I’ll go with you,” Zuko said. “We can be different people together.”
You grinned, leaning your shoulder against his.
“We could move to Kyoshi Island,” you suggested. “I’m too old to start warrior training now, but we could start a business. Open an inn or something.”
Zuko chuckled at the thought.
“I’ll call myself Lee,” he mused, “and you can go by Izumi.”
“Maybe we could be married. And we could adopt orphan children and cats.”
“Just cats. You can’t emotionally destroy a cat like you can with a kid.”
You glanced over at him, noticing the hard gleam in his eye. You wrapped your arms around his bicep, holding him close to you.
“You’re not your father, Zuko,” you whispered. “You don’t want to be.”
Zuko nodded. He reached for one of your hands, curling his own around it.
“... I feel like I am going to leave,” he said, “at some point. When I do… will you stay? So that I have at least one friendly face to come home to someday?”
You nodded, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.
“I will,” you promised. “And when you do, I’ll give you Azula’s severed head as a homecoming present.”
Zuko laughed at that.

i discuss the classification of igneous petrology as you fall asleep during my lecture (PART 1) (ASMR)
Childe/Zhongli, Alternate Universe (read part 2 here) When Childe's younger sister tells him about the volunteer at the library, he does not make the connection between that and his new favorite ASMR YouTuber, Rex Lapis.
Childe has a very effective method of getting through college. His little sister, who’s caught him making coffee at three in the morning on more than one occasion the past week alone, would beg to differ.
“You’re the best older brother,” she starts off, and he’s sure she’s trying to convince herself more than him at this point, “but you need to fix your sleeping habits.” Then, because she’s his little sister, she’d flash him a smile and pat his shoulder reassuringly.
(The comment is not lost on him though. He understands his sleeping situation will eventually wear him down if it hadn’t already, but he believes if he’ll drink a coffee every morning and a Monster every night, he’ll get through three days. By the third day, he’ll hardly be coherent but that doesn’t matter because he’ll conk out for the next twelve hours and then repeat.)
“Don’t worry, Tonia,” he says, trying to sound as reassuring as possible as he contemplates whether it’s worth it or not to swallow a pill of 5-hour energy with his morning coffee. “Once break ends, I’ll get back to normal.”
“You said that six seasons ago.”
Childe frowns, trying to remember if his sleeping schedule was this dysfunctional last year. “Huh?”
“The Walking Dead seasons,” Tonia clarifies, as if she’s not twelve years old and the show is for grown adults. He thinks. He hasn’t checked Commonsensemedia ever since La Signora labeled him as a “helicopter parent” and his Netflix tab has been playing How to Get Away with Murder as background noise for the past few weeks.
Isn’t it a show about zombies though? Tonia’s sheepish smile tells it all, because it’s the same exact guilty look he had when he got caught red-handed as a kid.
(Once he remembers later, Childe promises himself, he’ll check out The Walking Dead.)
“Oh. Well. I have a lot of shows to catch up on, you know. Not to mention a ton of my professors gave me reading for over the break.”
A half lie. They did give him a lot of reading because each professor assumed that their classes were his only one, and with seven days left, he still has a textbook worth of reading to go through. But there are no shows that Childe would sacrifice his precious sleep for. As a matter of fact, he would love to sleep. He’s spent the majority of his classes back in high school sleeping and faking attention, saving his grade at the last minute — it was quite the extreme sport really, if he says so himself.
Whenever he tries to sleep recently, his thoughts run at several hundred miles per hour, and he spends several hours staring at the ceiling before succumbing to the computer at his desk and watching trashy movies. At this point, he must have gone through the entire romance comedy list on Netflix. (Not a proud point in his life but if anybody ever wanted him to give a list of best to worst romance comedy movies, he now has one.)
Tonia, on the other hand, isn’t incredibly convinced.
Admittedly, the excuse was lame. Also, he can’t easily lie to his little sister, who’s far shrewder than he takes her for at times.
“You never start your reading in advance. You like to speed read it right before your class or watch a five-minute video on the chapters while your teachers take attendance. But that’s… uh, ‘a bad work ethic.’” Tonia looks immensely proud of herself as she says this, finishing it off with, “Zhongli told me that.”
“Zhongli?” he repeats, trying to remember if that’s one of her classmates or some stranger that’s hoping to kidnap his sister.
“The guy that volunteers at the library sometimes. He recommended me a loot of good books to read, but he talks like an old man.”
“How old?” Childe can tell she’s enjoying this — talking about her new friend at the library that he’ll probably have to run a background check on.
“Like he’s in his sixties or something. But he looks… actually, he looks your age! And he’s a student too. I told him all about you.”
Well, that doesn’t sound very reassuring coming from the mouth of a twelve-year-old. He’s not sure if that translates to his social security number, his current dilemma, or just that he’s her older brother.
“Like all of the stories you told me when I was a kid. And then when Lumine came to pick me up, she stayed to show him pictures of you too.”
“Of course she did,” he mumbles, ruffling her hair. One of these days he’s going to move without telling his classmates and the twins won’t enter his apartment unannounced. (But Tonia adores their company and the stories they tell her far too much for him to actually do it. But that doesn’t mean he’s above making threats when they tell his little sister about the bet he made about white-out and how it could dye hair. The jury is still out on this one.) “She’s just mad because I get away with it and she doesn’t. But don’t do it yourself. It’s a bad habit,” he adds, remembering that he should at least try to be a good influence on his younger sister when he can.
“Okaaay,” she says unconvincingly, before shaking her hair and running off to her room with lunch he prepared for her.
Watching her close the door and no doubt continue her binge of The Walking Dead, he takes out his phone and texts Lumine.

have fun i need to convince aether to not commit arson bc of his TA
Childe
12:51
hope he does it
He opens his Youtube app, typing in Rex Lapis and expecting Lumine’s suggestion to be a joke. Despite them being friends for nearly two years now, she’s never made any indication of knowing his type. And he’s sure he’s never been that vocal about it either, only shooting appreciative looks at history majors and paying more attention than necessary to the TA for ‘Tradition of Justice and Law.’ (It’s unfortunate that those short-term crushes never led to anything, but maybe that’s for the better seeing that Childe has never understood the appeal of relationships.)
It is an ASMR channel, judging by the ASMR playlist he finds as he scrolls through the account. The icon shows no face — only a microphone — which leaves him skeptical. Most of the video titles belong in a petrology lecture as well, which makes him even more convinced that it’s a joke. He finds a few readings of ancient literature and decides to pick ‘I discuss the classification of igneous petrology as you fall asleep during my lecture (PART 1) (ASMR)’ because that’s exactly what he needs. (Not the very moment — but ten hours later when he’s in the bed memorizing the pattern of his ceiling wondering why he stole from his fifth grade teacher’s candy jar during lunch.)
When Childe opens the video, he damn near gasps.
The man in the video is exactly his type. His eyes are a soft amber color, framed with long lashes, and it’s almost enough for him to lose his dignity and message Lumine a long thank you text about how she is always right and he’ll pay for her coffee for the following week. He smiles at the screen, albeit a little sheepishly, dark hair framing his face with a long ponytail that Childe can’t see the end of. On his right ear, there are a pair of earrings with a single feather that brush against his neck when he moves his head.
Even before he speaks, Childe is mesmerized, sure he’ll already memorize his features from the curve of his nose to the way he tilts his head, displaying the expanse of his neck.
Really — he reminds him of actors in historical dramas, the way he sits regally, and how he speaks. His voice is low and slow as he adopts a careful manner of speaking, leaning into the mic.
“I’m Rex Lapis, and I’ll be discussing igneous petrology today, which is part one in a three-part petrology series. I apologize in advance, seeing that my knowledge is limited compared to many petrologists out there but my friend Venti said that many of my viewers are here for my voice, so I’m very excited to start today’s video.”
Holy shit.
For the following week, Childe learns less about petrology, the philosophy of economics, and historical revisionism concerning matters of war and more about Rex Lapis, who is not in love with his voice but often finds himself in the middle of long tangents without explanations. His favorite book series is the Legend of the Lone Sword, which he says he’ll look forward to reading out loud for the channel. (Childe replays that part of the video again and again, captivated by his excitement as he mindlessly taps the mic while he speaks, his tangent cutting off mid-word — as it usually does, much to his dismay.)
His guilty obsession is not lost on Tonia, who realizes that instead of drinking Monster every night he’s been engrossed in his phone completely, often not noticing her or when the water starts bubbling. But because his sleeping schedule has been alleviated, she says nothing until Lumine comes over as she always does, not forgetting their weekly schedule of watching trashy movies while leeching off of Childe’s food.
Because he doesn’t trust the twins with the kitchen — even if they can cook — she instead spends her time sitting next to Tonia and spreading more of her anti-Childe propaganda while they wait. This usually involves Tonia occasionally calling out Childe’s name and asking, “Is that true?” or “Did you really do that?”
This time is different though.
Worried that Lumine finally decided to show Tonia a video of last semester’s presentation, he leans over, looking at the computer screen.
And he’s wrong. Unfortunately. Maybe it should’ve been his presentation because even if he botched it and accidentally projected his work process — screaming notes and all — to the class instead of his actual presentation, it would’ve been better than the two of them watching one of Rex Lapis’ videos together.
The ‘I read Erosion: Essays of Undoing to you as it rains outside’ video, to be specific, which is where Rex Lapis is embarrassed by Venti mid video when asked if this was his idea of a date with a lover. (And then it ends with Rex Lapis asking for video suggestions from the commentors, his face still flushed from the previous comments.)
Oh God — oh fuck.
“So he is your type,” Lumine says, her expression a bit too smug for his liking. Tonia looks half awake, scrolling through articles as the video plays, more interested in ‘Top 10 Glenn Rhee Moments’ than Childe’s crush. Her expression is a bit guilty as she does so — she’s biting her lip and avoiding his gaze, but he assumes that it’s just because they went through his YouTube history.
“I can neither confirm nor deny that statement,” he retorts, but the YouTube history she pulls up once Tonia hands the computer over to her says it all. (It’s quite mortifying, really — even Tonia is giving him a look, but it’s not as bad as Lumine’s shit eating grin.)
“Well… he does have a nice voice,” Childe finally says, thinking that perfectly encompasses his most recent obsession. Because he does have a nice voice — it’s soothing and speaks to him without really speaking to him directly. (The good looks are a bonus, he assures himself. A fantastic bonus, but a bonus nonetheless.)
“He does,” Tonia confirms, smiling toothily up at him, and he resists the urge to ruffle her hair with Lumine staring at him so skeptically. “But I don’t understand much of what he’s saying. He — heh — talks like an old man.”
“Don’t worry, Tonia, your brother likes him because he’s attractive,” Lumine informs her, now fast forwarding on one of Rex Lapis’ videos. “Did you know that he lives nearby?”
“Huh?”
The knife he’s holding clatters to the floor, and the two look down and back up at him with— hold on, why does it feel like they’re in on a secret he doesn’t know about?
“Yeah, he’s working on his grad thesis I think… Aether told me it was about something on history,” she muses. “That’s why I recommended his channel to you. He’s a bit of a celebrity in his department.” Childe’s sure his jaw dropped now, trying to maintain his facial expression as he takes out a new knife to chop up the onions.
“Really,” he tries to say as calmly as possible, wondering how he should accompany Aether to his lectures without trying to seem as obvious as possible. His voice is a bit shaky he realizes but he can’t quite make the connection between Rex Lapis and actual graduate student that goes to his university.
“Yeah, actually…” Lumine is definitely pretending to think now, enjoying this far too much. “He—”
“It’s Zhongli!” his little sister yells excitedly, practically jumping up and down at this point as if she won the lottery. “Zhongli runs an ASMR channel and he talks just like that in real life! Right, Lumine?”
“Yeah.”
Childe sighs, holding a hand up to his face. The realization that he’s been obsessed with the same guy that hears about every stupid thing he did secondhand is way too much — and the fact that he’s been listening to his voice every night before he went to bed the past week is way too much. He’s sure his face is redder than before judging by the amused expressions on Lumine’s and Tonia’s faces — really, they’re mirror images of each other right now.
Not for the first time, Childe swears to himself that he’ll never let her into his apartment without signing a contract ever again.

Serandy and Olifael part 3: Nari’s horrible return
Hey I’m back! ... I’m sorry.
-------------------
"S-Serena-senpai..."
Nari was looking away, her cheeks flushed from embarrassment. No matter how many steps back she took, Serena kept on getting closer and closer until she slammed her hand on the wall, next to Nari’s ear.
”Kyah! S-senpai! What’s going on?? Why are you being so violent with me?”
From Serena’s point of view this wasn’t violence. This was love. Oh Nari... you and your unstoppable mouth. No matter how much someone would beg, Nari would never shut up. Serena was provoked by that, the fact that someone wouldn’t obey her orders. It was frustrating and yet so charming.
She leaned in and whispered into Nari’s ear.
"Nari-chan... you aren’t a gemini, are you?”
Nari was confused, that’s it? That’s all Serena wanted to ask? No scolding, no punishment like usual? She was disappointed. Nari loved getting yelled at by Serena.
”N-no. I’m not a gemini, I’m a scorpio Senpai. But what does that have to do with anyth-"
"Shut it.”
Serena passionately kissed Nari with her passionate lips, passionate love and passionate hate towards geminis. She was so relieved that Nari wasn’t one of them. Disgusting. That would be horrible.
Horrible.
Hor-
"AAAH! NOOOO PLEASE GOD NO!"
Serena woke up covered in sweat. What the fuck was that?? Nari? What was she doing in Serena’s dream and why were they calling eachother like characters in a Japanese cartoon? Serena looked around her, it was her room. Thank God everything was just a dream and nothing else. Next to her, lying in bed was Andy who snuck in last night to sleep next to her girlfriend. Like all nights, actually. She was really worried for Serena’s mental state, not only today but in general.
"Serena...? *yawn* Are you okay sweetie?”
Serena hugged Andy, almost in tears.
"N-no! I saw her again in my dreams. That chatterbox monster, Nari! But this time we were high schoolers in a shitty anime... Why? Oh, why would this happen to me?? What did I do wrong for her to come back to haunt me?"
Andy hugged Serena back, trying to be as supportive as she could. This situation was really strange. For the past few days, Serena always saw Nari in her dreams. Nari was that 2nd year student in Arlington who went missing a few months ago. But in actuality... it was all a ploy orchestrated by Serena. Serena had pulled some strings to make some trouble happen in Egypt so that Nari would go back there for a couple of months. A couple of months that were extremely peaceful... Well, Trashy burned the building a couple of times but it was cool. Thanks to that some classes were canceled and Serena secretly thanked Trashy for her interventions.
The only people who knew about this were Serena and Andy, Serena knew that if she told Olivier what she did in order to get rid of Nari, he would get mad at her and rightfully so.
”Calm down Serena sssshhh. It’s going to be alright. Um... you know I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, but could it be that you have a guilty conscience? Maybe that’s why Nari appears in your dreams?”
Serena looked up at Andy, seriously taking in account what her girlfriend just told her. But no, that couldn’t be it. Serena? Feeling guilt for getting rid of Nari? Impossible. Nari was her arch-nemesis. It was absurd to think that after all these months Serena would suddenly start to feel guilty about her scheme.
”No... that can’t be it Andy. I would never feel bad for Nari. I think.”
”Aww come on, I know that you’re not as cold hearted as you pretend to be. Let’s just try to contact Nari, okay? Maybe you actually miss her a little bit.”
Did Serena miss Nari? Ridiculous but much more believable than feeling guilty.
"... Alright. Let’s do that."
Serena and Andy came down from the bed, they were changing into their school uniforms to get ready for class. That’s when someone barged in, looking extremely distraught. It was Rafael.
"Girls!!! Come quick! There’s 8 murde-"
Serena threw a pillow into Ralf’s face while Andy was covering herself with the blanket. Serena yelled at him in panic.
"What the hell Rafael? Can’t you knock first?? Turn around and explain yourself!”
Rafael turned around like instructed, facing the door. He was super gay for Olivier but he still covered his face with the pillow, just in case. He didn’t want Serena and Andy to feel uncomfortable.
"This is not important right now! There’s 8 murders in the Academy that ocurred this morning...”
Andy and Serena looked at eachother, horrified by the news. How was that possible? The security was so tight and the custodians always made rounds, even in the early mornings. Andy clenched her fists, still in disbelief.
”But... that’s impossible! One murder, sure. But 8 people have died?? There’s always guards in front of the entrance... and... and there’s at least one custodian on each floor to keep an eye on us!"
Rafael stood there, silent. Unable to explain the events. All he could say was...
”Oliver is waiting for us in the student council’s room. Come quick.”
There was no time to waste. Serena and Andy dashed out of their room and went out of the dormitory only to see a cruel scene unfold. A bunch of nurses were taking 8 people away into ambulance trucks. However, the 8 people were covered in white pieces of cloth. As if they were already dead. In the crowd, a blond girl with a pink flower in her braids was being retained by at least four people. They were trying to hold her still while she was screaming and shouting like a trapped animal.
"G-geez! How strong is this girl?! Someone call the remaining custodians to help us out! We can’t hold her forever!!!”
”Remaining custodians”? So, some of them had been killed as well? Or at least badly hurt. Andy and Serena tried to pass by the scene in a hurry but they couldn’t ignore the yells of the suffering young girl. Oh mother of god... It was the sweet and gentle Claire, trying to set herself free by punching and kicking.
"LET ME GO! I HAVE TO FOLLOW THEM AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY'RE OKAY!!! DON’T HOLD ME BACK!!! THIS CAN’T BE. THEY’RE NOT DEAD!!! THEY’RE NOT DEAD, OKAY?! STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE I’M CRAZY!!! I... I...”
Suddenly all of her strength left her body and she fell down on her knees, seeing that she finally calmed down the 4 students that were holding her let go of their grip. Claire buried her face into her hands, crying.
"N-No... they’re not d-dead... the doctors will bring them back with a b-blood transfusion and... and... CPR will definitely work... if, if not then there’s also a defibrillator... it’ll work haha... ah... ah... ahh..."
She started hyperventilating, her eyes were bloodshot and her hair and clothes were all messy. She then covered her mouth, trying to stop what was coming, in vain.
”BLRGH.”
She threw up on the ground, still hyperventilating in between each spew. Because of that she was almost unable of breathing. Two custodians ran to her, scared of her reaction. What if she chokes up and dies because of her own vomit?
"P-please! Young miss calm down! Breath in... and out... in... and out... yes, slowly.”
Thank god her breathing became stable again, she could’ve lost consciousness from the lack of oxygen. After emptying up her stomach she started crying in the custodian’s arms.
"T-those people w-were my friends... *hic* R-raquel was right next to me... *hic* how did I fail to do anything?! ...U-useless! I’M USELESS. W-when it comes down to real danger... I’m unable to do a-anything. I couldn’t save anyone... I’ve never saved anyone! Not a single person!”
Andy didn’t even realize that she was crying at the heartbreaking scene until Serena covered her eyes and pulled her away from the crowd.
"Andy, don’t look...”
It was meaningless, Andy was unable to see anything anyway. Her eyes were filled up with tears, distorting her vision. However there was one thing she knew. Even though Serena was trying to hide it and act though, she was crying too.
In front of the student council’s room, they dried up their tears and snot with their sleeves, no time to find handkerchiefs. And they stepped in. Four people were in the room, Olivier shouting at Trashy, Trashy looking scared out of her mind but doing her best to deny whatever Olivier was stating, Rafael trying to calm Olivier down and... Tadashi, sat on one of the chairs. Looking down, emotionless. It’s as if all trace of life had left his body.
Serena tried to ignore that for now and put her hand on Olivier’s shoulder, he turned away from Trashy and looked at Serena, annoyed and angry.
"Ugh. You’re finally here?! What took you so lo-"
Before he could finish, Serena slapped the shit out of him, knowing that he wouldn’t calm down anytime soon if this went on.
"Calm down! I can see that Tadashi isn’t capable of handling anything right now so you should try to stay calm and take over as the student council president! It won’t help if you lose yourself like this...”
She then looked at Rafael, who was frozen in panic.
"Ralf, next time something like this happens just hit the shit outta him without hesitation. Got it?”
”Y-yes, sorry. I’ll do so.”
Olivier looked at his reflexion in the window and sighed a few times. He still wore that stupid cat mask. Then with a clear mind, he went back to business.
"Trashy. Please be honest with me. You’re the one who committed those murders, aren’t you?”
Trashy was shaking, teary eyed and visibly afraid by not only Olivier but also the stressful situation she was in.
"N-no! I’m telling you I would never kill people in cold blood! I only do harmless pranks...”
Olivier clenched his jaw. ”Harmless pranks” she says. He opened a folder and took out a document from it.
"Trashy. So far you have committed: arson, fraud, larceny and forgery. So tell me what could POSSIBLY lead me to believe that you aren’t the culprit behind this... this... inhumane incident?”
Trashy stood up, slamming her hand unto the table.
”I’m telling you: I’m innocent! I would never kill E-Ellie, Alistair or any other person of this school!"
At those words, Tadashi who was silent this whole time started sobbing and holding his arms, as if he was hugging himself.
”N-no... Ellie... Alistair... Raquel... *sob* Please c-come back. I-I’m scared... *hic* I-I’ll be good so p-please don’t abandon me *hic* A-Axel I-I won’t give you detention ever again... and... and I-I’ll help you guys with your homework... *hic*"
Rafael, Serena and Andy rushed in to hug him, seeing that he was in despair. Olivier sighed and glared at Trashy.
"I told you not to mention their names. He gets like that whenever he hears it.”
”I’m so sorry...”
Trashy looked extremely apologetic. As Serena was holding Tadashi in her arms, she shot a quick side-glance towards Trashy, it’s true that she was very chaotic but... logic aside, proof aside, was Trashy really capable of doing such things? Serena wanted to believe in her so badly but it is true that she was quite suspicious. As she was asking herself hundreds of questions, two people barged in.
"Excuse us.”
A weird man dressed in all black, carrying a katana and... a normal woman were standing before them. Olivier walked towards them, as if he knew who they were.
”Are you... who I think you are?”
The man and woman smiled at eachother.
”That’s right, I’m Nadir. The detective.”
”And I’m Gen, the coroner. Nice to meet you.”
Nadir had a Maryland accent... whatever that was supposed to mean. He didn’t look like a detective at all though, why was he carrying a katana? And why was there a coroner with him? All the dead bodies were brought to the hospital already. Well, they might get resurrected somehow. It’s not like hope was completely lost. Or at least Andy hoped so.
”Um. Excuse me uh. Gen? I don’t understand why you’re here and not at the hospital, I mean your job is to check wounds and find the cause of death, right?”
Gen smiled innocently.
”Oh I’ve already done my job, it was all stab wounds from a kitchen knife. Now I’m here in any case we find other dead bodies or if someone else dies.”
”Uh... okay.”
Tadashi suddenly stopped crying, awakened from his miserable state by Gen’s comment.
"DON’T SAY THAT! How... How DARE you just call them ”dead bodies”?! They were my friends! And... and they might be saved!!!”
Gen looked at him with sorrow in her eyes. As if it was too late. Thankfully Tadashi was so angry that he didn’t notice that. She had a look that said ”it’s hopeless kid.” Serena tried to change the subject, knowing that Tadashi would blow up like Claire if he knew that they were already dead.
”Soooo... Anyway, who are the people that got hurt?”
Olivier gave her the list with the names of all the victims, knowing that if he said their names aloud, Tadashi would lose it again. As expected, all of Tadashi’s and Claire’s friends were on it. Neha Rao, Tyler Williams, the Novakova siblings and so on and so forth. They were all so close and yet the only people left were Tadashi and Claire... but why did only those 2 survive?
”You’re all thinking ”why did those 2 survive”, aren’t you?”
Nadir smirked at them with a know-it-all epxression that everyone hated. It seems like he had already made some research before coming.
”Well, we’re thinking that it must be because... either one of those 2 is the culprit or... the person who attacked their friends didn’t manage to finish their job and he’s after them.”
Everyone was frightened by the thought... Claire, where was she? Hopefully she wasn’t left alone, however, just in case they should go find her and stay by her side. What if the culprit took advantage of her mental state to strike? The only person in the room who didn’t think about that possibility was Tadashi, he was too blinded by anger and fright.
”You’re saying that either me or Claire could be the culprits? That’s total BULLSHIT! We would never even THINK about doing something like this! How could I... How could I ever do something like this to my best friend and boyfriend?!!”
That’s right, Tadashi’s best friend: Alistair. And his boyfriend... Axel. A really weird couple indeed, they hated eachother’s guts until really recently so why did they suddenly start dating? It was a complete mystery. It all started on april fool’s so everyone just assumed that they would end the joke pretty soon... 3 weeks later and the joke still wasn’t over.
Gen raised her voice, desperately trying to stop him from punching them in the face.
”Please calm down kid! We’re only stating the possibilities! Not saying that they’re true... but while it might not be you nor your friend, there is a high chance that the kill- um, culprit is a student. Even though some custodians were... hurt, no guards were harmed.”
Nadir nodded, strongly agreeing with his colleague’s words.
”That’s right. But first let’s go find that Claire girl, she might be in great danger at this rate. Do you know where she is?”
Tadashi shook his head, having no idea where the only friend he had left was. Luckily, Andy and Serena knew where she might be. They all ran to the nurse’s office, thinking that they would find an unconscious Claire who had probably collapsed from shock and stress. But she wasn’t there. Only the nurse remained, saying that Claire wanted to rest in her room. Serena grabbed the nurse by the shoulders and shook him violently.
”Are you kidding?! How could you let her alone in a situation like this?! Are you not aware of what’s happening right now?! And besides... isn’t Claire’s room... tainted in blood right now?!!”
The nurse pushed Serena away, slightly upset by her outburst.
”Who do you think we are? The room had been investigated and cleaned the moment the body was discovered. Also, she wasn’t alone. There was another student with her who promised me to follow her no matter where she went.”
Serena’s eyes widened. Oh god. Oh no. What if this student is the killer?! Catching on what she was thinking, Nadir grabbed the nurse by his shoulders and shook him just like Serena did earlier.
”Who was it?! Who was that student?”
”Ugh. Could you all stop grabbing and shaking me?! I don’t know what her name was but it was a girl with really messy hair. To the point where I would guess that she doesn’t even own a hairbrush.”
They all started running towards the dormitory while the nurse was cursing them under his breath. On their way there, they saw two students in the courtyard, on the ground. One covered in blood and the other one holding her in her arms while crying. It was Reckless and AJ.
”AJ!! Please wake up! Come on you gotta live... You still haven’t paid me for the tarot reading I did for you the other day!!”
AJ was still half-conscious, holding on to dear life.
”God... shut the fuck up...”
”No, don’t say that AJ!! What if those are your last words?! You can’t let your last words be something so vulgar! What am I gonna say to your parents...”
”I don’t... give a shit...”
Gen pushed Reckless away, looking closely at the young girl’s wounds all over her stomach. Reckless wiped a tear away, relieved.
”Oh thank God, thank you doctor! Please save my cash-cow- I mean... my dear classmate!”
Gen then immediately got up, wiping her bloody hands on her jeans.
”Oh no kid, I’m not a doctor, I’m a coroner. All I can say is that she has most likely 5 minutes left to live or so. Sorry but to be saved, she would need to be a billionaire or something. Y’know how it is in America.”
Reckless started crying again.
”God I fucking hate capitalism. Can we all just die from a nuclear bomb, please? Someone nuke us, anyone. Even North Korea is fine...”
Andy took out her phone, calling the ambulance in a hurry. Serena had never seen her girlfriend look so livid.
”Are you all crazy?! We should at least call the ambulance in situations like these! Reckless, why didn’t you call 911 sooner?!”
Reckless kneeled in front of AJ, looking apologetic while still bawling her eyes out.
”You’re right Andy... I’m so sorry AJ, if only I wasn’t a dumbass... Come on, don’t lose consciousness! Or at least tell me your blood type before you do! Maybe we can still save you...”
”B... positive...”
”*sniff* I’m trying AJ but you’re losing a lot of blood...”
”That’s not... *cough* what I meant... you fucking dumbass *cough*"
This all looked like a comedy skit to be honest. AJ’s blood type wasn’t even B, it was O. Was she so out of it that she made a mistake? Serena went through 8 stages of whiplash before the ambulance finally showed their asses on the murder scene. Unfortunately, AJ hadn’t seen her attacker and same thing for Reckless. In any case it was useless to stay there, the group rushed back to the dorms like they were supposed to a long time ago before they found AJ dying. Hopefully Claire was still okay... It was like running a marathon. Arlington was way too big than it needed to be.

I had to look at Lance’s example first dhskdbd but here we go. I skipped most gender dysphoria related stuff Barbatos would have from season one, because by season four Cinna has both gender affirming surgeries. I tried to write it kinda like Barbatos’ notes to himself (like he’s inspecting Cinna under a microscope). I’m sure I forgot plenty lol. Mentions of trauma, self-destructive behavior, and Harm OCD symptoms, but it is sectioned at the end to be easily skippable.
Cinna is very quiet with new people. They will sometimes forget to speak when they are anxious. It is best to not leave them without a familiar being in social situations to keep them comfortable.
Cinna will let their toes go inwards. It is best to remind them they are doing it, because sometimes they don’t realize it.
It is best to ask before assisting Cinna with a task they have been given. Although they figure most mean well in providing help, it makes them irritated and they will be a bit passive agressive for a few minutes. Unless it is a situation where asking first would be counterintuitive, one should not help without asking.
While in a relaxed setting, Cinna will often take off their glasses. It is best to show them things up close if they have their glasses off, because things are quite blurry without them.
If Cinna is already angry, it is best to keep Lucifer out of their sights. They will, as they stated, “fucking implode if they even see Lucifer right now”.
While angry or frustrated, Cinna will often state they are “going to commit arson”. This is an empty threat.
Cinna more often say “oh my goodness” or “oh my glob”, but will sometimes say “oh my god”. This does not mean they are actually calling upon the Celestial Realm’s ruler.
When Cinna is playing on their switch, it is best to ensure they are not playing Little Nightmares before looking at the screen. If they are, I may see a r-word and I do not wish to subject myself to such.
Cinna will steal clothes if they are close with the person said clothes belong to. They do not intend to give them back sooner than a day or two, so it is best to not leave clothes I want to wear unattended.
It is best to not subject Cinna to any cooked land animals, as they will be sad. They will eat fish, but anything else from the water they will not eat. They think crabs and land animals are “so cute”.
When Cinna unexpectedly sees a bird or bunny, they will gasp and say the animal’s name, whether or not they have age regressed.
Cinna very much likes plant-based foods.
Cinna has trouble sleeping more than five hours at once most nights. It is best to let them sleep as long as they can.
Cinna does not like their hips and waist being touched without permission.
Cinna will often make noises that serve no communication purposes.
Cinna will sometimes shake their hands/arms for no particular reason.
Cinna has bitten my hands quite a few times now. They claim it is affectionate.
Cinna is very affectionate with everyone they like. I have been hugged at least twelve times today.
Trauma
Certain television shows, songs, and names will trigger a trauma response if they are exposed to them. It is best to avoid such things.
They often freeze up or forget to speak when triggered. Sometimes if they are especially upset, they will punch themself in the head and cry. They will not retaliate if one attempts to stop them, and accept physical reassurance/comfort from all except Lucifer, Diavolo, or Luke.
Harm OCD
Sometimes Cinna will pick at their cuticles or bite the inside of their mouth while they are anxious or concentrating. They will appreciate being reminded to stop, but will feel inclined to continue until they are satisfied anyway.
Cinna desires to keep their nails short to avoid violent intrusions/impulses related to their fingernails, although many of their other violent impulses are associated with their nails. It is best to keep a nail file on oneself in case Cinna has been neglecting their needs and is having trouble keeping intrusive thoughts in check. However, if they are having teeth related impulses/intrusions, it is best to supervise them to assure them that they aren’t going to do anything to themself. Nail clippers are a no go, as sometimes it can bend the nail or knick the skin underneath the nail, which will make the impulses worse. They tend to scratch tables or other surfaces to assure themself their nails haven’t been tampered with, which is a good time to ask if they need a file. (If their nails are painted, remind them they would be redoing them later anyway and encourage them to file them down until they can repaint them.)
If Cinna is having ear or eye related violent impulses/intrusions, it is best to ensure their nails are taken care of. They often rub their fingertips against their palm directly next to their ears to be assured they haven’t done anything to themself and their eardrums are still present.
Ensuring they have access to a hoodie along with any sleepwear helps Cinna avoid violent impulses to do with their veins. While they are usually very good about this, there may be a situation where they do not have one.
While they usually insist they don’t need to confide in someone about their violent intrusive thoughts towards others, it is best to ask if they need someone to speak with when they are doing any of the above. They may want a distraction or physical reassurance, but they will rarely speak of their violent thoughts because they are afraid to. Reminding them that they aren’t evil for having their unwanted intrusive thoughts will help them ground themself. However, if they are reminded of trauma alongside a bout of intrusive violent thoughts, it will be much more difficult to calm them.

I suspect I'm who you're referencing. The general update is that the Portland Police Bureau can barely handle it's current load of daily 911 calls, and is not going to be getting involved in crowd control any time soon unless an event had gone completely off the rails (as in there are multiple life-threatening injuries or levels of arson that seriously imperil occupied structures.
Then longer version involves a few separate, but not unrelated factors that are causing an implosion of law enforcement here:
First, Portland doesn't have enough cops. The PPB has been badly understaffed for years, and it has only gotten much worse recently. As of 2019 Portland had less than half the officers per capita of the average city it's size, and since then its staffing has shrunk by an additional 15% at least, as officers are retiring or quitting at a record pace. Most alarming is the large number of young officers (<5 years on) who are leaving for other agencies or even other careers, as they have traditionally been the most eager, motivated, idealistic, etc. It is also alarming that the resignations are continuing to come in, indicating that this was not just a knee-jerk reaction to the madness of 2020, but a potential long-term trend. Furthermore, in addition to losing raw bodies, the PPB has seen it's entire Gun Violence Reduction Team, School Resource Officer program, Transit Police Division, and Traffic Division disbanded for a mixture of political and financial reasons.
Second, what cops we still have are being burdened with a greater and greater workload. 911 call volume is up 45% over last year (and I suspect last year was likely abnormally high itself, although I can't immediately find the numbers to back up that hunch). In addition to the huge increase in call-load, and largely due to the DOJ Settlement, many calls require many more officers and much more paperwork than they used to. As examples, officers are now required to request additional officers on many types of calls, such as ECIT Officers, Less-Lethal operators (40mm foam impact rounds), or supervisors. As an example of the increased paperwork, very minor uses of force (such as having to physically pull a standing but uncooperative suspect's wrists toward each other in order to handcuff them) used to only need to be documented in the regular police report for the arrest, but now require a sergeant to respond to the scene, interview the recipient of the force, interview all officers and potential witnesses, and for the original officer, and every witnessing officer, to complete separate, multi-page reports each on just that minor use of force alone.
Third, officers here are badly demoralized and many feel that, more often than not, doing something is more dangerous to their career than not doing something. All throughout 2020, officers made arrests that involved significant physical danger, and then watched the DA's office dismiss the overwhelming majority of those arrests. Further, the officers themselves were scrutinized, criticized, and disciplined for making those arrests (often by the same command staff that ordered the arrests in the first place). Add to that the cumulative effects of over 180 nights of violent, destructive riots in which you, not the rioters and looters, were painted by both politicians and the press as the bad guys, a command staff that is too busy seeking jobs in other cities to defend you, a DA who basically ran on a platform of prosecuting cops and has publicly stated he will not prosecute the rioters (at least the anti-police rioters, I suspect the more right-wing ones will be prosecuted vigorously), and you begin to see the problem. This also extends beyond crowd control, as garden variety thefts, burglaries, assaults, etc. are routinely dismissed by the DA's office, leading to a massive sense of futility when doing even basic law enforcement. The arrests we do make are released again and again withing hours, even for repeat violent offenders. There's no feeling quite like seeing the felon you arrested walk out the door before you've even finished writing the custody report. There are currently many negative incentives and few positive incentives to doing active police-work, and the reverse is true of not doing active police work. Humans respond well to incentive strictures, and officers are no different.
Lastly, and in reference specifically to crowd control, the PPB lost many tools due to Temporary Restraining Orders that arose from protester lawsuits. CS gas, pepper spray, and impact munitions are now totally prohibited. This has essentially limited officers to batons alone as a means to control rioters, and we are keenly aware that baton use never looks good on camera. Speaking of cameras, those same TROs have prohibited us from filming anything unless we are filming an individual, and only after they have committed a felony crime. This, combined with the rioters' tendency to violently attack any non-aligned "journalists," essentially guarantees that the rioters will control the coverage and thus the narrative. Once again, incentive structures. Probably the most critical loss for the PPB, however, was when the Rapid Response Team resigned en masse. This unit was specially trained and equipped to perform crowd control (along with other emergency functions such as CBRNE/hazmat, wide-area search and rescue, and HAM radio communications) and was widely considered within the law enforcement community as one of the best crowd-control units in the world, routinely training other units from other states and countries. With this unit disbanded, Portland must now rely on ad-hoc groups of patrol officers assembled on-the-fly (optimistically called Mobile Field Forces) to perform crowd control. These officers have very minimal training and equipment for crowd control, and most want nothing to do with the job if they are assigned it.
I apologize, as this became a longer and more polemical rant than I intended. In closing, don't expect much in the way of police presence at these events, and don't expect prompt police response to your 911 calls, and don't expect the arrested criminals to be jailed and prosecuted. The system here is in a bad way, and I don't currently see any political will to fix it anywhere on the horizon.
…
This is actually going to be a serious issue when crafting policy for body cameras, if we can ever get them. The advice that our City Attorney has given the agency is that, between the TRO and current judicial interpretations of ORS 181A.250, there should be no video recorded unless a felony has occurred, and then the video should be strictly limited to just what is necessary to document that felony itself. The law itself clearly states that filming is ok if the subject is engaged in "criminal activity," and, amongst many other things, blocking the street without a permit is a crime, but we are pretty much required to do what the City Attorney's Office advises us to. Also of note is that multiple Deputy City Attorneys here have a history of protest activism themselves, and we suspect they may not be too concerned about the impact of their performance on policing here.

The Worst
I wasn't really planning to touch this one because I'm so goddamn tired but this sh*t with the Duggars is itching my booty so I'm going in. I got time today. Josh Duggar f*cks kids. Some of those kids were his own sisters. He was caught, convicted, and sent off to conversion therapy camp instead of jail because his pops' unwieldy power in Arkansas. In 2015. This all came out in 2015 because of rather diligent reporters and investigators. That's when we found out about the transgressions, which actually took place before then. Dude went through all of that, did all of those terrible things, BEFORE 2015! By the time all of this came out, the "issue" had already been resolved and that coward hid behind his "faith" through PR snippets and cats just okey-doked it. Sure, the Duggar lost their show, but who cares? They're still supported by the religious zealots on the Right. They still wield unheard of power in Arkansas, all because the Duggars are “Christian” in the “right” way. Because they're "good" people. Well, it's 2021 and ol' Joshy-boy is facing forty years for the same sh*t he got busted on, way back before 2015. I guess f*cking kids is “Christian” in the “right”, according to how these people interpret the bible. Why the f*ck is this even a thing? How the f*ck is this a thing. More importantly, where the f*ck are all of these bible-thumping, Conservative hypocrites, who support straight up insurrection, now that one of their own is about to be nailed to the wall for the most heinous sh*t a person can do? Today, I awoke and chose all the violence.
Duggar was convicted as a minor but was never held accountable for his bullsh*t and now, some sixteen years later since he was exposed as a predator and threat, cat is on the hook for some verifiable, factually provable, horrific sh*t. The feds found terabytes upon terabytes of graphic child porn on his personal computer. Dude had a whole ass Ashley Madison account a while back, for which has since apologized, but those thing are used strictly for adultery. So, Joshy-boy is on record for molesting kids as a minor, cheating on his wife through the interwebs, and has now got the feds on his butt, because he picture of kiddy butts on hand. You see, that's a patter of escalation. Josh Duggar is a monster and it makes me wonder how that monster was allowed to roam or, more importantly, how man other monsters are hiding in that f*cked up family. Of course, the family is denying the claims but, with that verifiable history, you can really be telling me this asshole ain't out here f*cking all of the underage partners he can get his hands on. Really? He f*cked his sisters, man! There are no limits to this dude's disgusting predilections. He's been doing the same sh*t he got nailed with from before, for decades. Why would he ever stop? Who stops their bullsh*t, especially after getting caught and let go with a slap on the wrist? If I burn down an orphanage and you make me pick up trash as a consequence, I'm just going to keep committing arson on sh*t because picking up trash ain't sh*t. The juice id definitely worth the squeeze at that point and I am thirsty, bud. So was Joshy-boy, but for kiddy-diddling, not theoretical arson.
Josh Duggar has been getting away with f*cking kids for decades. Decades of slipping the noose because of his clout and the fact his family is viewed as 'God fearing.” I'm not even going to get into that toxic mess, and how it enabled this scumbag, but ol' Joshy-boy has little girls in his own home, where, because of his "faith" his word is law. What the f*ck is he doing to those kids? He diddled his little sisters. That's fact. He was convicted of that in the court of law. That's fact. He has a record for that and was never properly disciplined for it. That's fact. If he could do that to them, and get away with it unscathed, it's not unheard of to think he could do it to his own. And that's not to slight his boys because, if he's been doing this since he was a kid and escalation is a thing, pretty sure a little boy butt is fine now, too. Of course, this is all speculation on my part but I'm comfortable throwing around these alleged accusations considering the actual evidence onhand. I'm comfortable say Josh Duggar f*cks because he f*cked his sister when she was a kid. One is more than enough, bud. Which is why I don't understand how he has gotten away with this sh*t for years after. Why wasn't Duggar put on a list like a regular person? Why wasn't he forced into proper therapy? Why wasn't he watched like a hawk for the rest of his life? Why was he allowed to escape consequence and re-offend for decades? Why were his sisters forced to interact with this dude on that show for years, when every KNEW what he did to them? Why the f*ck was he allowed back around kids and no one said a peep until the feds found straight up, hardcore, graphic child pornography on his home computer?
Sh*t like this is why i don't understand how Conservative people feel like they know the moral way. They use the bible as some sort of blanket, get-out-of-jail-free card, refusing to even acknowledge their transgressions. Even Matt Gaetz is doing that sh*t. Sure, he's leaning heavy into the "cancel culture" lie, even though there are literal Venmo receipts of him buying sex from a minor, but he claims this a witch hunt predicated on his loyalty to 45 and his strong Conservative values. Values that are intrinsically linked to that Jesus jargon. So, according to him, he can traffic women for sex, at leas one of which was underage but we'll see how many actually were, while being engaged to a woman he claims to love, but this is persecution? This is a politically motivated attack? He's the victim? Really? It doesn't even stop there. Most cats who still believe in 45, and i mean actually believe in him because they think that asshole is some sort of real life Second Coming, conveniently dismiss his long record of adultery, the fact that he uses their faith as a disingenuous prop, and, more to the point of this discussion, THE COUNTLESS ACCUSATIONS OF CHILD RAPE! Dude beat up a fourteen year old before raping her, because he wanted to take her virginity by said rape, but Epstein raped her first, so she was “defiled” when it was his turn to rape her and he was mad about it. So, I repeat, Trump beat up the fourteen year old girl before he raped her, for already being raped. Your president did that sh*t and I know he did because she sued. Put that in your pocket because we're going to circle back around to it in a bit.
There was an entire documentary about Epstein on Netflix and 45's name is riddled throughout it. There are Cosby levels of victims in his ledger and, like Cosby, where there's smoke, there is definitely fire, bud. Trump has for sure f*cked at least one child and that's more enough. He should be castrated and tossed into a hole, not uplifted as some great leader who is going to lead America into it's next golden age. If you actually think that, you're a f*cking idiot, and I mean that in the most aggressively disrespectful way possible. If you actually, in your heart, believe that Donald f*cking Trump is some sort of moral barometer, that he is the one best fit to guide this country into the future, you are the worst kind of person and don't deserve a voice in our democracy. The girl who sued him over her traumatic experience, is in that doc and recalls her story exactly the same way she's told it for decades, exactly as i heard it a decade and half ago. See? Full circle. This chick sued him and he settled. He paid her to make that sh*t go away, per usual, the December before his inauguration and no one talked about that. The difference in her case and the many, many, other settlements, is the fact that Trump doesn't pay anyone without at least three appeals or the Feds force him. He shot this chick an undisclosed amount of loot almost immediately. I don't even think her case made it to trial. I think they were still in Discovery and he whipped out the checkbook. Why was that? Maybe he didn't want her talking after he became President? Or maybe because she could substantiate the horrible f*cking claims she has never deviated from making, for two whole ass decades? I f*cking wonder.
Now, I'm not, in anyway, saying the Left doesn't have their issues. Of course they do. When you get to a certain amount of wealth and power, your moral compass goes wacky and you end up in the papers for giving everyone herpes or trying to start a cult or some sh*t. Celebrities are f*cking weird, bud. What I am saying is the fact that most of these ridiculously damaging and hypocritical f*ck problems, tend to err on The Right more than the Left. I mean, Hilary Clinton has buried bodies, for sure, and i don't mean just Benghazi but, since 2000, the Right has been riddled with some of the most egregious acts you can imagine, in terms of Christian morality. There's a list you can check out on Wikipedia and that hard "R" pops up a great many times. Lots of infidelity on the Left. Lots of the OTHER stuff AND infidelity on the right. It's pathological with these people. The harder you thump that bible, the harder you're apparently thumping some strange. Be it trans trysts, adulterous liaisons, getting it the gay way, straight up sexual battery, or outright rape, the Right is just out here, throwing their sh*t around at whatever will gush. However, when caught, they hide behind their “faith” as a deterrent from actual accountability. It's f*cking disgusting, dude. I mean, Bill Clinton got head from a co-ed in the Oval office but Trump gave head to a nine year old in one of the elevators at Mar-a-Lago. These are not the same and just because one overtly pretends Jesus is his savior, doesn't mean he should get that pass or that the comparison is in anyway apt.
The cognitive dissonance between espousing the virtues of Christ and actually living them is always so stark with these Conservatives. It's a tool to them, not a calling, not a guide. But so many of their proliferate eat that sh*t up. F*cking why? These people are pandering to you. They don't respect your beliefs. They literally f*ck kids. How can they be good Christians and do sh*t like that? None of those people are genuine in their belief. How the f*ck can you just give these assholes the pass? How can you exalt them as idols worth following, protecting, and aggrandizing? None of those frauds worship the way you do. Hell, the people you look to in order to deliver the Word, don't even live the Godly life. They're multi-millionaires flying around in personal jets they bought from Tyler Perry, because God told them they shouldn't have to fly coach with all those demons. Those demons are you, you f*cking sheep. That's how they see you. From your Orange demagogue to your sycophant senators to your televangelist false idols, you are the demons. You are the fodder. You are the rubes. And they know you'll turn the other cheek as they spread them kiddy cheeks, because all they have to do is hold a bible upside down from time to time and say “God is good.”

I’m sorry I’m just really interested in what the Junkers have ACTUALLY been DOING during their international crimespree (not just their motivation for doing it)
Like we know for sure they’ve stolen all kinds of crap (money, the Crown Jewels, plushies and icecream) and blown up buildings but what else??
In Going Legit aside from blowing up two buildings we didn’t really see them do anything else that’s illegal aside from physically harrassing/assaulting an elderly man, so that’s one thing, but what else??
A Moment in Crime does give us some information on what they’ve done so let’s look there??
Okay so we know what Roadhog has done outside the Outback to get a bounty placed on his head (since we’re looking at what they’ve been doing on the crimespree, being an Enforcer in Junkertown and the people he killed back there doesn’t really count), I’m really interested in finding out who these two kidnapped
Meanwhile Junkrat?? They don’t list what crimes he’s wanted for, we only find out what he’s good at and that’s. Interesting. Like we’re supposed to be watching a news report that’s here to explain what crimes these two have commited that they’re wanted for and they don’t even like properly list what Junkrat has done?? Like if we didn’t know for sure that he actually has blown up places and thus should be charged with arson, I’d wonder if Junkrat actually hasn’t done anything illegal aside from stealing things with Roadhog.
Or maybe this news report was trying to hide as many specifics as possible??
Here’s the thing that bothers me about A Moment in Crime, this short says “together they’ve burnt, bombed, robbed and killed their way across the world”. Who have they been killing?? How have they killed people??
Like have they commited premeditated murder (if so who), or have there just been casualties when they’ve blown places up? If so have those been police casualties or civilians?? What’s the death toll??
‘Cause there’s two things to this mess: again, according to this short they’re not wanted for murder (or at least Hog isn’t), and we haven’t seen them kill anyone. The only people we know these two (or at least one of them, hence his well-earned reputation as a “killer”) has killed have been other Junkers back in Junkertown, and need I remind you Junkrat was the one everyone else was trying to kill in-order to get their hands on whatever Rat found in the Omnium
The closest thing to us seeing these two actually kill someone is that elderly man but even then, it’s more that they left him hanging. Like literally. Yes they did leave him to die but it’s not like they shot him in the face, we didn’t see him die. I mean this is an understatement but it’s pretty unlikely he survived from falling off an exploding skyscraper (at least not without looking like a mummy at the end), but theoretically he could’ve survived. Basically that guy has become the Schroedinger’s Cat, until proven dead or alive, he is both.
So great. We’re supposed to believe these two have been killing people on their international crimespree but they’re not actually wanted for murder and we only know they may or may not have killed an elderly man. How useful.
AND THIS IS WHERE I HAD KIND OF AN EPIPHANY
Let’s look back and remember what that elderly man was
An greedy, lying CEO who was about to commit insurence fraud and frame two people as criminals in order to do so
(It seems like Going Legit is pre-international crime spree -> not criminals yet?)
Now over and over again whenever people have been calling Roadhog all sorts of horrible things, people have been ready to point out that the two things we actually see him steal in canon have been plushies and ice cream, noting stuff about his sprays etc, essentially pointing out that Roadhog is a giant dork (as well as capable of murder, not just the latter exclusively). And this is true, that is how Roadhog is portrayed in the game and its side materials.
And that portrayal part is key here. This CEO, the only person we know for sure these Junkers might’ve killed, was not portrayed as a good person. He was a horrible person, a corrupted billionare who was getting away with his crimes with his money.
This is the only example of a person the Junkers might’ve targeted out there.
Why does that matter so much? Here’s a few lines Junkrat has in the game
“I beg your pardon, I consider myself a freedom fighter. A misunderstood one.“ “Remember remember… What the heck was I saying again?“
When Junkrat is on a killstreak, he’ll hum Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, which you might remember from such movies as V for Vendetta. His name is Jamison Fawkes.
It would be one thing to make one V for Vendetta-related reference in the game, like that’s be similar to Ana’s “Witness me” or hell, Junkrat’s Joker reference (”Why so serious?”), but no, there’s FOUR DIFFERENT REFERENCES HERE.
F O U R
(Well okay the first line isn’t really a VfV reference but I can promise you many people would describe V that way)
One reference means the character was probably partially inspired by something. Four references means the source material has a huge influence and tells us very much about the character in one way or another.
I mean. Isn’t that how it usually goes??? Right???

This doesn’t really answer my original question of what “killing their way across the world” really means (numbers, names, locations), and why/how these things aren’t listed among the things Junkrat and Roadhog are wanted for, in fact it doesn’t answer either why we weren’t even shown WHAT Rat was wanted for.
But it certainly might give us a clue about the true nature of their crime spree-- only attacking rich criminals who won’t be punished for their crimes because they can buy their way out of it and cover it up.
And now that I think about that might explain why we didn’t get specifics on what crimes Junkrat has commited. People (both us the viewers and the fictional people in the world of OW watching that news report on their TVs) might notice a pattern in their targets and try to look more into what the Junkers have been up to. And if people become aware of why those targets became ones to begin with, they wouldn’t be able to get away with their corruption anymore.
Who knows, maybe A Moment in Crime was influenced by those corrupted people (either ones who had already been targeted or those who’re afraid of being next), maybe that’s why they intentionally didn’t give us any specifics in the video. HELL MAYBE THAT’S WHY WE GOT TO SEE THESE TWO DOING SUCH RANDOM CRIMES LIKE STEALING ICE CREAM AND PLUSHIES, those crimes couldn’t be tied to any larger corporations and were the only few crimes they had evidence (=video footage) of.
In fact I wouldn’t even find it impossible if the whole “killing” part was a lie, maybe the two haven’t killed a single soul after leaving Junkertown and the report added it there two make the two sound more dangerous. If anyone tried to prove they haven’t been “killing their way across the world”, the people trying to get these two behind the bars could just point out they’ve killed back in Junkertown. Like you can’t really argue against that because it is true
NOT TO MENTION THIS WOULD TOTALLY EXPLAIN HOW THESE TWO MANAGED TO GET INTO OVERWATCH
IF JUNKRAT REALLY IS JUST A FAR LESS COMPOSED VERSION OF V THAT MENINISTS AREN’T GOING TO USE AS THEIR INTELECTUAL ROLEMODEL, THEN IT KINDA WOULD MAKE SENSE WHY HE’S IN OW
Like he is a criminal and a terrorist, but he’s not here to cause senseless mayhem. He’s here to punish the criminals that get away with their crimes by striking where it hurts the most (their wallets) and make a statement
It’s like Junkrat said himself. He’ a misunderstood freedom fighter.

chatzy | counselor meeting
Date: 01/07/17 Characters: Cabin counselors About: Chiron and the counselors discuss the aftermath of the Forge fire. Warning: vomit
Brent gets here early, hair still damp from the shower, and save the two seats on either side of him for Macey and Jacob.
Laurel gets there early too and offers a polite smile to Brent and then takes a seat across from him.
Brent returns the smile. "How are you holding up?"
Fizz was texting when she walked in the door. She looked at the free seat next to Laurel. "Care if I sit here?" she asked.
Laurel "Um, I'm fine," Laurel responds to Brent and then looks over at Fizz with the same tight smile. "Yeah, by all means," She says and even pulls out the chair for Fizz a little.
Jesse didn't want to wake Chase to ask him to take his place, so he walks in early as well, heading straight to an open seat without looking at anyone.
Fizz smiled and took a seat next to her. She looked at Brent and flashed a smile at him also.
Rae strolls in with her required cup of coffee needed to survive every counselor meeting and takes a seat.
Lulu skips in with a bright smile on her face. She took a seat, sitting criss-cross on it, waiting for the meeting to start.
Mikey stumbles in after Rae, his head down and takes a seat too.
Fizz tried to get Mikey's attention. "Hey, how's your brother?" she asked him quietly.
Mikey hears Fizz and looks up. It's obvious he's been through a lot as he looks tired and slightly shaken. "He's doing... better than how we found him," He responds. "He keeps thinking he's better than what his condition really is."
Macey looks up from her phone when she walks in and slides into her seat next to Brent. "Jacob's not here yet?"
Brent "No," he sighs. "Should I text him?"
Macey leans back, and low key checks to see if any of the chairs in the room are breakable. "Probably."
Fizz "Alec is baking something for him, I'm glad he's doing better," she told Mikey.
,L goes to the meeting straight from the Aphrodite cabin and takes a seat.
Brent quickly texts Jacob: 'you coming?'
Jesse was timed out
Jacob R. quickly texted back: 'do i have to?'
Macey responds because it's a group message, "lmao yeah sorry"
Mikey nods slowly. "Tell him thank you from us," He says, pausing. "I'm glad he's better too... And thank you for being there and helping us."
Ariana enters after a lot of people and then looks around and sighs and then takes a seat.
Fizz "You and Blue did most of it, I wish we were there sooner, maybe the luck would've worked," she replied.
Brent 'I have a seat saved for you.... :)'
Laurel listens to Fizz and Mikey's conversation intently tbh
Jacob R. '!!!'
Jacob R. entered after reading Brent's text and took his seat. "Thank you for colonizing this spot for me."
Mikey "I think it did help. He could have been worse. It all could have been worse."
Brent "Anytime."
Bentley wants to be literally anywhere else but here but shows up anyway.
Macey chuckles.
Ariana probably has a seat saved for Ben tbh.
Bentley takes the seat next to Ariana and stares at his hands.
Rory walks in, barely paying attention to anything. She looks around quickly, sees Mikey and beelines for the empty chair next to him. Sliding into it, she looks over at him, giving him a quiet "Hey." in greeting.
Fizz "Well, then I'm glad Alec and I could help," she replied, a bit surprised that their luck actually worked unlike what she thought.
Jack shows up and slinks quietly to his seat.
Mikey is surprised to see Rory. "Hey, he made you come?" He asks, talking about Keaton.
Chiron enters the room and glances around the group. "Is everyone here?"
Rory nods her head. "Yeah, eventually, we went back and forth for a while. I didn't want to leave him alone." She looks over Mikey, making sure he at least looked okay. "Are you okay?"
Kieran walks in, hands in his pockets, and strides toward his seat without a word or glance to anyone else.
Mikey nods as he listens to Rory. "Figures. He's so stubborn always, but I didn't know it got worse when he's hurt," He explains and then nods again. "I'm as okay as I can be right now." He shrugs sadly.
,Jesse looks up as Kieran walks in, and looks confused.
Rae glances around, "Looks like it." She answers for Chiron.
Rory smiles for a second before it drops again. "Neither did I honestly. But, he definitely does." Now she nods. "I'm glad you didn't get hurt either." Hearing Rae speak up, she looked away from Mikey, not realizing Chiron had walked in.
Laurel looks at Chiron when he talks on time omg
Chiron clears his throat. "As I'm sure you all know by now, there was an incident at the forges late last night. First of all I want to tell all of you that it was not an outside attack or from a self-proclaimed enemy. We're under no threat of attack."
Rae raises an eyebrow at Chiron's words.
Lulu gasped a little being oblivious as usually. "Do you mean someone inside did that?"
Rory tenses slightly at Lulu's question, really wanting to answer to be no.
Chiron sighs. "Unfortunately, yes. That means it was done by a camper."
Kieran isn't quite paying attention. He leans back in his seat and looks in Chiron's direction somewhat mindlessly.
Laurel "Was it intentional?" She asked Chiron, figuring that she should speak up if she was there.
Fizz 's eyes widened. "You mean someone in this camp set the forges on fire?" she asked, that's what he did say but Fizz was shocked to say the least. "If I find whoever it is, I swear," she mumbled, feeling bad for Keaton and also knowing that it could've probably easily have been her sibling in the forges.
Macey can only think about that time the armory blew up and because of this parallel looks even more upset.
Chiron sighs. "That, I don't know. I can only hope not."
,Jesse frowns and looks down.
Rory doesn't know if she should be pissed, screaming, or on the verge of tears. "Do we have any idea who it is." She says this as more of a demand than a question, not really looking at anyone as her voice shakes.
Jack folds his arms and sinks in his seat.
Brent leans back, rubbing his face.
Jacob R. clicks his tongue at the news.
Mikey is sad and stuff.
Chiron "That's why I found it important to have this meeting. I believe all of you can talk to the rest of your cabinmates. I have no idea whatsoever who would do this, and I don't want you to accuse anyone. But I would like all of you to reassure your siblings of their safety and see if they know any information that might be useful."
Macey frowns deeper, because that's much easier said than done.
Lulu doubts that Casey did it.
Fizz "How would you know it's not someone in this room," she said not directly to anyone.
Bentley leans a little closer Ariana. "How am I gonna get all of my siblings together?" he jokes under his breath.
Jack pushes his sunglasses up onto the bridge of his nose.
Kieran sighs and crosses his arms.
Brent "So, you want us to gently interrogate our siblings?"
Theo walks in, trying to go unnoticed as the group spoke amongst each other, listening intently to catch the gist of what the meeting was about.
Macey sighs and slides down her chair a bit. She won't be interrogating her siblings.
Rae "Sounds lovely." She takes a sip of her coffee.
,Jesse can't imagine any of his siblings having the energy to commit arson.
,Jesse apparently doesn't know his siblings
Jacob R. "So," he starts attempting the whole diplomacy thing. "If we catch the person that did this... What is the solution?" He wanted to suggest murder, but not everyone was into giving violence a chance.
Fizz "I don't know, maybe set them on fire," she mumbled to herself.
Ariana makes a noise at Bentley's joke on time omf
Macey looks over at Jacob, feeling #momproud.
Bentley wants to suggest something somewhat violent but really thinks it's a bad time to remind everyone he's in the room.
Brent is also #dadproud.
Rory feels her fingers start to tingle a little bit and clenches her fists, not really feeling like zapping any with lighting just because she was pissed.
Theo leaned against the wall, thinking that a simple truth spell would solve this rather than interrogating everyone, but kept his thoughts to himself, letting his mind wander back to why he didn't just stay with Letty in her cabin.
Chiron is lowkey proud of Jacob too tbh. "We can discuss that now, but I don't think a punishment is necessary unless this is something that was planned with malicious intent. I would like to give people the benefit of doubt first."
Bentley "Yeah because look how great that's turned out before..." he mumbles under his breath.
Fizz "But someone was hurt, shouldn't they get something for not being fucking careful?" she asked.
Rae "Um," She raises her eyebrows again, "No one's getting punished for damaging camp property? Or, like, arson? Isn't Keaton like, seriously hurt?"
Rory looks over at Fizz and Rae when they speak, she spoke before really realizing. "Oh yeah, Keaton's hurt." Her voice is a mix of tired and annoyed. "He was inside when it blew, and a beam crushed his leg."
Chiron "I do think the severity of a punishment is depending on the persons intention. So, what do you propose we do if this was an accident?" he asks, giving the general group the floor.
Rory looks at Chiron. "Why does that matter?? Whether or not it was on purpose they seriously hurt Keaton, and oh yeah - blew up the forges!" She leans back in her chair and crosses her arms. "Crush their leg with a metal fucking beam and see how they like it."
Fizz doesn't protest rory's idea.
Brent "Or maybe we don't maim people," he says to the ceiling. "Because we're better than whoever did this."
Lulu "Maybe violence isn't the best idea."
Rory doesn't look at either of them. "I'm just saying, it being an accident doesn't change what they did."
Fizz "And say it wasn't an accident? Then what?"
Jack is sitting very tensely, focusing on breathing.
,L doesn't want to have to treat another severe burn victim but doesn't say anything, resting her chin in her hands and her elbows on her knees.
Macey "What about like, revoking a lot of their camp privileges? Y'know, they can't be out past certain times, can't do certain things. Like, an ankle bracelet or house arrest or something..?"
Brent nods. "I agree, and I can't condone a violent solution."
Bentley sighs and looks at Ariana like 'are you kidding me.'
Jesse "Especially if it was an accident," he says quietly in agreements wih Brent and Macey.
Jesse: *agreement
Fizz "Again, what if it wasn't an accident?"
Kieran wonders what Malia would say or what any of his siblings might want him to say, but ultimately says nothing.
Jacob R. notices Ben's look and makes convinces himself that there isn't a reason to throw another chair in a public place like this.
Theo rests his head back against the wall, listening to the arguments on both sides, leaning more towards delivering a minor hex to the culprit. "What about solitary? It's non lethal and non violent, and still gets the point across in a pretty strong way."
Bentley looks at the new speaker and literally all colors drains from his face.
Jack has gone pale. He clutches his stomach and slouches in his his seat.
,L shakes her head. "Was anyone in the forges when the fire started? Besides the one who started it?"
Macey "If it's not an accident then we figure out something more serious when we get there? I don't know, Chiron just said to give ideas. That was my idea."
Jacob R. squints at Theo. "Nah."
Fizz hesitated for a minute, not wanting to answer L at first but instead decided she should. "Alec saw the fire and instantly went to me," she said in reply to Lavina. "But when we got back it blew up."
,L nods. "Then we don't know if the fire was malicious or not."
Jack rolled a die with 20 sides. The die showed: 17
Lulu "Is there anyway we can prove it's arson or not?"
,L frowns and puts her chin back into her hands. "Are we sure it was someone who started it?"
Theo lets out a sigh. "Why not just use a spell to figure it out? I'm sure between me and Declan we can figure something out."
Jack pushes his seat away from the table as calmly as he can, muttering an apology to the person sitting beside him. He starts around the table toward the exit, increasing in speed as he gets closer. He makes it to the door, clutching the handle, but can't get the door open before he curls over and vomits onto the floor.
Lulu "Ew"
,L stands, hands out, already ready to treat Jack.
Jesse straightens up and looks up from the table to look over at Jack, worried.
Jacob R. leans over to Brent and Macey. "Yikes, am I right?"
Macey grimaces and looks away, nodding at Jacob.
Brent is watching Jack carefully.
Rae pushes her chair back but relaxes when she sees L's got it covered.
Fizz looked at Jack, confused.
Jack stands frozen at the door, his hand stuck on the knob, torn between fleeing and sinking to the ground. "Sorry."
Kieran puts his face in his hands, looking away from Jack's direction. He shakes his head, trying not to feel queasy himself.
,L walks over to Jack calmly, holding a hand out to him but not touching him. "Are you okay?"
Ariana is thoroughly grossed out.
Rory covers her nose and mouth with her shirt, looking away from the door.
Theo grimaces at the scene before him, shaking his head. "Right, that's my cue to go. I'll talk to Dex, fill in Letty and all that. Let me know if something changed," he says offhandedly to Chiron, stepping over the mess and making his exit.
Jacob R. finds it wild that so many people are so easily grossed out considering that germs were used to colonize the country they now lived in.
Jack shakes his head. "I need to go." Jack steps aside to let Theo past before following out the door.
,L frowns, looking between the vomit, the door, and then at everyone else.
Jacob R. glances at Chiron. "Should we... Continue... or?"
Rae gets up to help L, then looks behind her at everyone else, "Well, I guess we're cleaning this up."
Laurel stands when Rae does and walks over to Rae and L. "I can help." She offers.
Ariana "If he's leaving, then so am I," She says when Theo leaves and then peaces out.
,L blinks at Rae and Laurel. "With what?"
Rae looks exasperated at everyone, "I don't fucking know, but we're not gonna sit here and finish this meeting with vomit on the floor."
Brent grabs Macey's arm and whispers in her ear. "Do you think it was Jack?"
Mikey is confused why someone threw up ???? is still sitting next to Rory tbh
Jesse "I can help clean too."
Mikey "If he was sick he should have stayed at his cabin. Someone could have filled him in later." He says to Rory.
Macey was trying not to look at the scene and not feel sick herself. She blinks at Brent words, the thought not having crossed her mind. "I...I mean, that's a thought? I guess why else would he..." She motions to the floor, "Unless he was actually sick."
,L walks out, down the hall to a closet, then returns with a mop and bucket. "You guys can sit down. Too many cooks spoil the vomit."
Rory looks at Mikey and nods her head in agreement, still using her shirt as a barrier.
Macey oh was also whispering quietly to her boo
Fizz "Does someone have like perfume or some shit on them to cover up the smell?"
Rae frowns, "You sure?"
Brent nods. "Yeah, unless he's actually sick. Are there any other people in his cabin?"
Macey purses her lips, thinking. "I don't think so. He's in Phobos, right?"
,L nods, already mopping up the mess. "Uh huh. Isn't even that much."
Laurel smiles at L. "Thanks for taking one for the team," She states and then sits down again.
Jesse nods at L, but stands up anyway. "I'm, uh, gonna go then."
Rae sits back down but makes a mental note to make L some cookies or something later.
Kieran sees Jesse stand and calls out, "Wait." He stands up as well. "I'll walk you back."
Jesse pauses and looks at Kieran, even more confused now. "Okay."
,L shrugs and finishes mopping fairly quickly. When she sees that the meeting is basically over, she leaves at the same time as others, carrying the bucket and mop.
Kieran excuses himself from the table and walks out of the room, waiting for Jesse in the hall.

OK FIRST OF ALL- Joshua Bassett 100% needs witness protection omg
Ok favorite crime is all well and good but I go batshit crazy everytime good 4 u or traitor comes on. I physically cannot explain the feelings that go through my body when those play- good 4 u has SO MUCH feral energy and I did have a dramatic miny concert in my roon what about it. Whenever it gets to "like a damn sociopath" I promptly lose any semblance of sanity.
The background vocals in traitor are so good and the lyrics hit me in a place I didnt know existed ahhhhhh
1 step forward 3 steps back is also just?? Amazing?? Like olivia where were you hiding all this talent. I'm trying to come up with w o r d s but all I can say is that the emotions in that song are so visceral and deep and coupled with the music and the soft way she sings it I just-
also also I am so fucking here for Olivia Rodrigo being a Taylor Swift fan. So. Fucking. Here.
ALSO you didnt even *talk* about happier wtf.
I totally get where Olivia is coming from with this song and I think the melody is delicious. wish this could be more wordy but my only thought is- AJSBAKDHSKDHSK AHHHH
Ok i totally agree with you on deja vu and drivers license. It does makes sense and they are better as singles. Belting drivers license in an empty house?? Ha no I will sing it with people around fight me.
I love your unofficial review of sour thank you so much for screaming about it with me ajshakdhsk My favorite song of it all is definitely traitor but honestly??? the entire thing is so good?? Everything fucking slaps.
-Anonia
I KNOW I FORGOT TO TALK ABOUT HAPPIER I REALIZED THAT THE MOMENT YOU SENT THIS ASK SFHSKDJLFHSDKJLFHDSKFDSJKLFDS i am a sour heathen this is tragic
you're damn right joshua bassett needs witness protection, i always joke with one of my friends that he not only needs witness protection BADLY, joshua bassett is probably calling john mayer and jake g trying to figure out what the fuck to do in this situation cause you know it doesn't look good for him
(side note i put on good 4 u this morning and absolutely lost my SHIT screaming. you're so right. there's something about the energy of good 4 u that is just. ferality. absolute ferality. absolute fucking ferality and i think it's beautiful. THERE IS SO MUCH FERAL ENERGY I LITERALLY NEED TO SCREAM THIS IN A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE. i have three songs I need to scream to when i get back in the clubs, and it's "dancing queen" by abba, "mr brightside" by the killers, and "good 4 u". i have no other requests.)
ok. so. happier. i like. half feel happier tbh because wishing that someone's never half as as happy as they were with me is...not a fun emotion i like to explore? but i very much understand that for her and honestly get it to some extent, especially "i'm selfish I know" like. that hits real hard. also "eternal love bullshit that you'll never mean" because eternal love doesn't exist. not like that. it's work. love is a choice and you have to wake up and make it up every day. i do like the bass in it though, it does slap.
OH MY GOD TRAITOR. literally you have to scream "god i wish you'd thought this through before i went and fell in love with you" i don't make the rules. I don't make the goddamn rules. but also just the whole chorus in general is something great to scream about, especially "you betrayed me, and i know that you'll never feel sorry // for the way i hurt" BUT ALSO THAT BURN x TRAITOR MASHUP. OOOOOOF. THAT MASHUP.
joshua bassett. again. witness protection.
1 STEP FORWARD 3 STEPS BACK IS LITERALLY SUCH A DEEP CUT OML LIKE. she's so unsure of what the hell he wants because he always keeps swinging back and forth between loving her and not loving her and it just feels like a losing battle and she's so sick and tired of it but she loves him and it is SO MUCH. AND CAN I TALK ABOUT "and maybe in some kind of masochistic way // i kind of find it all exciting" because OLIVIA. MA'AM. MA'AM ARE YOU GOOD. BLINK TWICE AND WE'LL ALL GO COMMIT ARSON. no one should feel that and especially not at 18. god she's already felt so much and i feel awful that someone hurt her iike that.
I'm so happy that she's a taylor swift. when taylor swift tours again if she brings olivia i will literally drop top dollar for those seats are you kidding me
also i'm gonna talk a quick sec about enough for you and the line "stupid emotional obsessive little me" because CAN I GET A MOOD IN THIS FUCKING ROOM the insecurity is so high for this poor girl and i am so sorry. AND. AND. "no i don't want your sympathy i just want myself back" like. i swear at eighteen you just want to get over someone, not realize that you don't want them in your life at all and just want to get back to who you were like. BRUH. THAT IS A DEEP CUT.
oh god not me i can't have anyone hearing that i'm just an alto and not a failed soprano. (hah. url joke hehehe) if i hit that thing at a belt too many times i lose my voice and i like the echoes of my house lololol
truly anonia this entire album slaps and i'm so glad we were able to talk about it :') thank you miss rodrigo for hurting us

The Spectator, 1893
Page 323: The coal strike is virtually over in South Wales, though it has died hard — the rioting at Llanelly on Monday was of a very savage character, resulting in injury to two women — and it is expected that on Monday next all the collieries will be at work. Meantime, there seems no prospect of a settlement in the Midlands, and great distress prevails, not only among the colliers, but in the trades which had had to stop work owing to the scarcity of coals. In many places the children are said to be literally starving. The area of the strike is so enormous, and the number of outrages committed by the strikers unhappily so large, that it is impossible to give anything like a true picture of what is happening. Not only are the miners who remain at work or who are known to be willing to work maltreated, but attacks are made on the collieries, and the machinery is damaged and the sheds burnt in order to make it impossible to use the mine. A case is reported to which hundreds of safety lamps were smashed or thrown into a canal with this object. The most serious riot was that which took place at Featherstone, Yorkshire, on Thursday, when an attack was made by a large mob on Lord Masham’s pit. A detachment of 26 non-commissioned officers and men of the South Staffordshire Regiment were summoned, but as there was not magistrate present to read the Riot Act, the soldiers were powerless, and had to watch the strikers burning and wrecking the works, and throwing the debris down the shafts. At last a magistrate came, and the soldiers were ordered to clear the yard. This they did, but they were obliged not only to use the bayonet, but to fire with half-cartridge.
Page 355: During the week, inquests were held on the bodies of two of the men shot by the soldiers in the Featherstone riots. In the case of James Duggan, which was inquired into at Wakefield, the jury found a verdict of “justifiable homicide.” It appeared from the evidence that the deceased was not engaged in active rioting, but only in watching the rioters throwing wreckage down the shaft. He told one of the witnesses that the soldiers had already fired once, but “it’s only blank and won’t hurt you.” It is clear that he would not have remained if he had believed the soldiers would fire in earnest, — a proof of the cruelty of half-measures. At Featherstone, an inquest was held on the body of another miner, James Gibbs. In this case, the jury returned a verdict of “shot by the military after the Riot Act, whereby he died.” They added remarks, which were “pinned” to the official papers, declaring Gibbs to have been a peaceable man, and condemning the authorities for having withdrawn the police to Doncaster races. The result most be pronounced satisfactory. Even a jury of neighbors entirely in sympathy with the men refused to condemn the soldiers.
Page 357: The account of the Featherstone riot which is given in the ‘Daily News’ of Thursday last contains some facts of considerable importance. The first thing that is clear, is that it is the height of madness to send soldiers among riots, unless they are accompanied by a Magistrate. Though legally it is of course not necessary that the Riot Act , i.e., the proclamation prescribed by the Riot Act, should be read before the soldiers can act — if actual rioting and violence is going on, all citizens must do their best to stop the disorder, and the fact that they happen to have arms in their hands and act together, is no bar to their stopping the commission of felony — it is almost impossible to get an officer to take the responsibility involved in ordering the men to fire. Hence, soldiers should never be sent to a scene of riot unless they have a Magistrate with them. Unfortunately, the company of the Staffordshire Regiment who were sent to Featherstone, and no Magistrate with them. The result was that they could do nothing to quell the rioting, and only irritated the mob. For several hours they were placed in a position of the utmost danger.
Page 421: THE LAW OF RIOT.
THE newspapers continue to debate the question of riot, and to consider under what conditions soldiers should be allowed to fire upon mobs, and whether some change in the law might not be beneficial. This newspaper controversy has brought to light a number of very curious beliefs as to when and how soldiers ought to fire. For example, a correspondent of the Manchester Guardian mentions, in last Tuesday's paper, that not only is it very generally believed that it is against the law for soldiers to use their rifles till after the Riot Act has been read, but that people imagine that the soldiers must then wait an hour, and that even then the two first volleys must be with blank-cartridge. Under these circumstances, it may be worthwhile to state plainly what is the law in regard to rioting, and its suppression by means of the armed forces of the Crown. The first thing to remember is that to riot is, ipso facto, to commit a grave offense against the law. But it will be asked, In what does a riot consist? A riot is an unlawful assembly which has actually begun to execute the purpose for which it assembled by a breach of the peace and to the terror of the public. Further, a lawful assembly may become a riot if the persons assembled form and proceed to execute an unlawful purpose to the terror of the people, although they had not that purpose when they assembled. Next it must be asked, What is an unlawful assembly? An unlawful assembly is an assembly of three or more persons, either with intent to commit a crime by open force, or with intent to carry out any purpose, lawful or unlawful, in such a manner as to give firm and courageous persons in the neighborhood of such assembly reasonable grounds to apprehend a breach of the peace in consequence of it. For practical purposes, the way, then, to test whether a body of men are rioting is to ask the question, — Are they executing an unlawful purpose to the terror of the people? If they are committing breaches of the peace, or arson, or intimidating their fellow citizens, the answer must be "Yes." In reality, however, there is seldom any difficulty in telling whether a riot is, or is not, taking place. Disorder and terror are the marks of riot. If a great mob assembles to see the Queen open Parliament, no one is in terror, no one is threatened, and there is no riot. If, however, a mob assembles and terrifies by acts of violence not merely a few old women, but the population as a whole, then there is riot. This is not a very scientific definition, but, substantially, it is a correct one. But what are the duties of the Magistrates and of ordinary citizens when a riot is taking place? Their duty is exactly what it is when other unlawful acts are being committed, — to stop them. And in order to make the carrying out of this duty the easier, the law declares that the intentional infliction of bodily harm, and even of death, is not a crime when it is done by Justices of the Peace, peace officers, or private persons in order to prevent the commission of any kind of felony, such as murder or arson, or in the suppressing of a general and dangerous riot that cannot otherwise be suppressed. But this right of suppressing riots by the use of force of arms belongs to all persons, and is not withdrawn from soldiers. A soldier when he enlists voluntarily places himself under what may be termed a code of private law, but this does not take him outside the law of the land. In the eye of the law, soldiers are simply citizens happening to have arms in their hands. Whenever, then, private persons may use force to prevent the commission of a crime, soldiers may. But soldiers must obey their orders, and must march where they are told. If, then, they happen to be marched where the crime of rioting is being committed, they may lawfully help to stop that crime. They gain no right of firing or using their bayonets by being soldiers; but, again, they lose none. But this being so, an officer may, if he likes to do so, order his men to fire — i.e., to inflict death or bodily harm intentionally — in order to stop the commission of the crime which he sees taking place. As far as the ordinary law is concerned, the soldiers might, indeed, fire without orders, and at their own discretion; but to prevent this comes in the private law by which the soldier is bound — the Mutiny Act — and under which he must obey his officer, and not act without orders.
But it may be asked, — Where does the Riot Act come in? Why has that been forgotten? We have not forgotten it. We have merely made no reference to it in order to show how wide is the power of dealing with riots under the Common Law. We desire to show that if the Riot Act were repealed tomorrow, the suppression of rioting by the use of soldiers would be as easy as it is today. All that the Riot Act does is to make more highly penal what was penal before. Under it, whenever twelve or more persons disturb the public peace — (actual riot is not necessary; see "R. v. James," 5 C. and P. 153), — it is the duty of the Magistrates to go to the place of assembly, or as near as is safe, and there to make a proclamation in these words, or words "like in effect": — “Our Sovereign Lady the Queen chargeth and commandeth all persons being assembled immediately to disperse themselves and peaceably depart to their habitations, or to their lawful business, upon the pains contained in the Act made in the first year of King George for preventing tumultuous and riotous assemblies. God Save the Queen!" After this proclamation, all persons are guilty of felony (mere riot is not felony, but only a misdemeanour; and felony is punishable with imprisonment for life) who remain or continue together unlawfully, riotously, and tumultuously for one hour; or if they know that its reading was hindered, for one hour after it would have been read. Further, obstructing and hindering the making of the proclamation are declared felony. The Riot Act, then, is in intention merely a tightening of the law against rioters. Unfortunately, however, it has come to be believed by Magistrates and soldiers, as well as rioters, that nothing can be done to disperse a crowd before the Riot Act has been read. But a Magistrate is required to read the Riot Act. Therefore the idea has grown up that there is right of free rioting till a Magistrate can be hunted up to read the Riot Act. As may be imagined, the practical result of this belief is often most inconvenient. For example, if at the Featherstone riots the soldiers could have acted promptly, it is quite possible that no loss of life would have taken place. A bayonet charge in the earlier part of the day might have proved quite sufficient. But it may be said that even if it had been known that the soldiers could act without a Magistrate's order, the officer in command would not have taken the responsibility, and could not be expected to do so. He has the fear of a coroner's jury before his eyes, and the possibility of having to take his trial for murder. If, however, he can show a Magistrate's order to fire, he feels exempted from this responsibility.
This fact has given rise to the suggestion that there should be some alteration in the law, that rules should be laid down as to when it is lawful to fire and when not, and that it should be enacted that the conduct of soldiers when and if acting in accordance with the proposed alteration in the law, should not be questioned in the Civil Courts. In our opinion, however, there are many grave reasons against establishing any new principle, or any hard-and-fast rules. The advantage of the present system is that men are restrained from going too far by the knowledge that they will have to justify their conduct on the merits of the case, and not by an appeal to technical rules. If the rioters know that as long as they do not do this or that act they cannot be fired on, they are far less likely to be reasonable than if they do not exactly know what acts will bring down on them stern repression.
Page 422: Again, if the authorities and the soldiers were to feel that certain acts delivered the mob into their hands, they might possibly, and in the heat and excitement of the moment, act with too great severity. The theory of "citizens happening to have arms in their hands" is by no means a bad one when carried into practice; and we should very much dread the introduction of the Continental idea that the soldier is a man with a separate set of obligations and duties. In our opinion, the better way to avoid occurrences like the Featherstone riot would be to have the Colonel and a certain number of the Captains at every barracks put into the Commission of the Peace as county and borough Magistrates. The Queen's regulations might forbid them to act in ordinary civil or criminal business, or even in the case of riots, if a civilian Magistrate was procurable; but they would thus be able, if necessary, to read the Proclamation under the Riot Act. No doubt it is wise that some proclamation should be made before resort is had to firing, and as public opinion is firmly convinced that such proclamation ought to be in the form prescribed by the Statute of George I, it is better that soldiers should, except to defend their own lives, never fire until it has been read. If, as we suggest, officers were put into the Commission of the Peace, the danger of there being no one competent to read the Riot Act would be got rid of. We would, however, make an alteration in the Queen's Regulations. It should be laid down that after the proclamation, and before firing, there should be three loud blasts on the bugle, and further, any officer reading the proclamation should be told to add to it the explanation that the troops would fire at once, and that every person remaining on the ground was committing a felony, and rendering himself liable to imprisonment for life. This might get rid of the absurd notion that the troops cannot fire till an hour has elapsed. Instead, they have got an hour in which to fire at discretion. Magistrates reading the Riot Act should give a similar intimation. It is cruel to allow the popular misconception to continue, since it distinctly makes the putting-down of riots more bloody and less easy.
Page 465: THE LAW OF RIOT. [To the Editor of the “Spectator.”] SIR, — There is one point obscure in your otherwise excellent article on “The Law of Riot,” — namely, what is the meaning of the delay of one hour prescribed in the Riot Act? I understand the case to be this. Persons who assemble in a manner to cause reasonable alarm, commit a misdemeanor, for which they may be arrested by the police, but not shot down. This misdemeanor may, however, be converted into a felony, either by the assembly resorting to violence, or by its refusal to disperse within an hour after the Riot Act has been read by a Magistrate, and then this felony, like any other felony, may be put down by killing. The Riot Act neither reduces nor enlarges the right and duty of any armed citizen to stop its commission of any felony by force; it only empowers a Magistrate to convert a misdemeanor into a felony in a particular case. This, I take it, is the law; but the practice, commonly supposed by all parties to be the law, is that soldiers may not lawfully fire until the Riot Act has been read by a Magistrate, and that, when it has been read, they may fire without any waiting for the hour’s delay prescribed by the Act. The practice is better than the law, and should be converted into law. But I doubt whether the provision you suggest — that the chief officers of a regiment should be made Magistrates ad hoc — is enough. So grave an act as firing upon a mob ought to be conducted with the forms of direct civil authority. — I am, Sir, etc., A Magistrate.
Page 821: The Report of the Committee of Inquiry directed to investigate the circumstances attending the military suppression of the riot at Featherstone on September 7th, completely exonerates the authorities. The Committee, which contained the strong Radical, Mr. Haldane, as well as Lord Justice Bowen and Sir A. Rollit, declare that the Ackton Hall Colliery was in the kind of danger which justifies soldiers in firing, and, indeed, compels them to fire, not to do so being a legal misdemeanor; that all care and skill were exercised; and that the firing being legal, the death of the innocent, if any innocent man died, must be accounted accidental. The Committee further describe the state of the law with great lucidity, the essence of their remarks being that soldiers have precisely the right and duty to prevent riot which other people have; that the Riot Act only makes the refusal to disperse within one hour a felony; and that the presence of a Magistrate, though highly advisable, is not legally essential. They add a suggestion which is, we think a little weak, that it might be useful when soldiers are firing on crowds to use a weapon less formidable than the modern rifle. That is Mr. Foster’s buckshot plan, and has this evil effect, that in diminishing the danger of death it diminishes that panic of the mob which it is the truest mercy to create. It is bucks the modern soldier is irresistible, that in a collision between soldiers and civilians so few lives are usually taken. The Peterloo massacre was the work of yeomanry using sabers.

BRENDA BUTTNER, FOX NEWS HOST: I bet this is a hot topic at your Thanksgiving table right now. What to do with ten thousand Syrian refugees to make sure ISIS doesn`t sneak in with them. The president already threatening to veto a bill that would vet them further, something not sitting well with Florida Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis. Congressman, thank you so much for joining us.
You voted with the majority on that bill to further vet, basically, our vetting process for refugees. 47 Democrats voted along with you. Is that a sign that the president is becoming more isolated on thos issue?
REP. RON DESANTIS (R-FL), COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS: Well happy Thanksgiving, Brenda.
BUTTNER: You, too.
DESANTIS: Yeah, I think without question, if you look at the numbers that the president is talking about, 10,000 people, if only one percent of those mean to do us harm or intending to commit terrorist acts, that means you`re bringing in 100 terrorists into the country, and we talked to the FBI director, even before the Paris attack, and he testified in front of Congress that the government cannot vet these people adequately because there isn`t enough information to do it.
So, I think the prudent policy is to err on the side of protecting the American people, and here`s the thing, Brenda. We can help about four or five refugees over in that theater for the cost of bringing one over here. So even if we didn`t have these terrorism concerns, I think there`s an argument our money is probably better spent by sending it over there and having people directed to safe zones.
BUTTNER: What happens if the Senate doesn`t take up this bill? It may not get traction. Minority Leader Harry Reid doesn`t really want to take it up. Then the president plans to veto it. What can you do?
DESANTIS: Well, first of all, I think that it`s likely to get to the president`s desk. He is going veto it and he`s going to have to explain and I think you see his poll numbers are dropping precipitously given how he`s handled this issue. I think he`s like -- 35 percent approve of how he is handling terrorism. So if he vetoes the bill and the public responds negatively to him, I think that`s going to put even more pressure on the Democrats in the Congress to join with us if we put funding prohibitions on the next budget bill that comes down the pike, not allowing the president to spend money to bring any unvetted refugees over to our country, and we could potentially end up with veto-proof majorities. We already got that in the House with our bill. This could potentially get us there in the Senate if the president vetoes a bill and then there`s a public backlash.
BUTTNER: There`s a move afoot in our northern neighbor in Canada to basically say, we won`t take any single men, we`re only taking women and children. But we have a very porous border and does that really stop the terrorists from getting in? Women -- we have seen in Paris -- can be terrorists, too.
DESANTIS: You have to vet everybody. You absolutely do have female suicide bombers. And so the idea that just because it`s a female that you`re not going to vet them, that doesn`t work. So yes, I think we have to be concerned, and not only with the refugee situation. It`s very easy for people to fly into Canada from some of these troubled spots and then they can come across our northern border. So I think it`s absolutely a cause of concern.
BUTTNER: And what do we do about that?
DESANTIS: Well, I think that we have to look at how you can gain entry into our country. The refugees is one. The legal immigration system is another. And then we also have visa waiver and people coming over on visas. I think all that has to be vetted in a way that errs on the side of protecting the American people. If there`s a chance that someone may be inclined to be an enemy of the country, then I think you have to err on the side of caution.
BUTTNER: You know, the argument on the other side is that we, as Americans -- our values are that it`s our obligation to bring in refugees, those who have been in war-torn situations and need help. How do you answer that?
DESANTIS: Well, we actually have been way more generous than pretty much every country in the world combined. But simply because there`s a war, that`s never been necessarily the test. We`ve accepted people who qualified for asylum because they were persecuted, say, like the Christians in Syria are being persecuted because of their faith or their ethnicity, but simply because they`re a war, that doesn`t necessarily mean that everybody gets to come to the United States, and as I mentioned earlier, I think you can help a lot of these people in a more cost-effective way. You can help more of them by administering that aid overseas rather than flying them halfway across the world.
BUTTNER: Right. Now what about the issue of giving state governors the choice whether or not to take the refugees in? That would require basically amending the Refugee Act of 1980. Do you support that?
DESANTIS: I do. Here`s why. State and local law enforcement are the primary protectors of the health, safety, and welfare of the people in the individual states. So they have a significant responsibility to keep their citizens safe, such as at the Mall of America, as you mentioned earlier on the show. So I think that they should absolutely have a voice in whether people are coming into their state that could potentially pose a problem.
BUTTNER: Do you think you might have the votes in Congress to do that?
DESANTIS: I think we could definitely pass it out of the house. Whether we could pass it out of the Senate, I`m not sure. And I would imagine, given the president`s posture on this, that he would threaten to veto such a bill.
BUTTNER: All right. Congressman, thank you very, very much. I hope you have a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.
DESANTIS: Same to you.

Florida House passes bill that forbids 'sanctuary cities,' would issue fines for failing to help federal immigration authorities

The Florida House of Representatives voted Wednesday to require local officials to comply with federal immigration authorities, a move that brings the Republican-controlled state government to the cusp of enacting one of the nation's most stringent laws against "sanctuary cities."
The state House legislation, which passed in a 69-to-47 vote, would bar local governments from ignoring Immigration and Customs Enforcement requests -- known as detainers -- for local jails to hold suspected undocumented immigrants until federal authorities take them into custody. It also mandates that local agencies use their "best efforts to support federal immigration law" and threatens a fine of up to $5,000 per day for entities that violate the law.
A Florida Senate committee approved similar legislation last week. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who made the issue a central issue in his campaign last year, has been urging senators to act on the bill before the state's legislative session ends next week.
While the definition of sanctuary cities varies, most analysts say Florida does not have any.
The bill has become a top priority for Florida Republicans in recent weeks, as they have been eager to support DeSantis and President Trump, who has threatened to release migrants into sanctuary cities that do not comply with ICE detainer requests. The Trump administration also has vowed to withhold law enforcement grants from localities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.
"This bill is about public safety and making sure we remove the criminal element of illegals that are here," said state Sen. Joe Gruters, sponsor of the Senate legislation and chairman of the Florida Republican Party. "The president has a laser focus on the failures of Washington in terms of immigration policy, and I think that has made this effort easier."
At least 25 states considered legislation dealing with sanctuary policies last year, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. One of them, California, enacted sweeping statewide legislation blocking law enforcement agencies from working with ICE to house undocumented immigrants who otherwise would not be held on local charges. Two other states, Iowa and Tennessee, enacted laws requiring local officials to comply with ICE requests.
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) this month signed a law to cut off funding for local governments that refuse to cooperate with ICE requests. Several other states also have policies prohibiting sanctuary jurisdictions: Iowa, Tennessee, Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina and Texas, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
A half-dozen more states are considering similar legislation this year.
But Florida -- a state where 20 percent of the population is foreign-born -- has emerged as an especially emotional battleground in the nationwide fight over those laws.
In recent weeks, a coalition of civil rights groups, social justice advocates, farmers and state business leaders have teamed up to try to the block the state legislation. They argue that both the House and Senate bills are drafted so broadly that Florida law enforcement officials would in effect become deputies in Trump's broader crackdown on undocumented immigrants.
Earlier this month, the Florida chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union issued a "travel alert," warning that the legislation would "put immigrants at risk of violence, potentially forcing victims and witnesses to stay silent for fear of deportation."
More than than 120 Florida business leaders, ranging from a former chief executive of Carnival Cruise Line to executives of home-building companies, signed an open letter to DeSantis and legislative leaders warning that the bills could cripple the state's robust economy.
"Immigrants represent over 25 percent of our workforce and employ over 500,000 fellow Floridians," the letter states. "It is their innovative spirit that keeps us moving forward. Anti-immigrant legislation will inflict long-lasting damage to the state of Florida."
According to a study released in February by the Pew Research Center, Florida was home in 2016 to 775,000 undocumented immigrants, about 4 percent of the population. Seven percent of the students in Florida schools had at least one undocumented parent, the study concluded. Only California and Texas were home to more undocumented residents.
After Trump threatened in 2017 to strip federal money from cities that refuse to help deport immigrants, Miami-Dade County was the first to halt the sanctuary policy, even though 51.7 percent of residents are immigrants.
A Senate committee staff analysis found that the bill pending before the Florida Senate would require "any sanctuary policies currently in effect" to be repealed within 90 days after the bill becomes law.
Florida's attorney general could take civil action against state or local government entities, which advocates fear could make individual government employees liable for actions they take in support of an undocumented resident.
Although most ICE detainers are good for 48 hours, advocates say the legislation infringes on the rights of undocumented immigrants by denying them due process.
"It is really unclear why this bill is necessary," said Ingrid M. Delgado, the associate for social concerns for the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops. "This bill goes much farther than federal law requires and mandates compliance with every detainer request, even for those who have not been convicted of a crime."
The ACLU has been battling ICE over allegations that it incorrectly issued detainer requests for 420 U.S. citizens who had been held in the Miami-Dade County jail over the past two years.
State Rep. Mike Beltran (R), a co-sponsor of the House bill, dismissed concerns that the legislation could lead to more racial profiling or unfair treatment of detained citizens.
"I don't think we should be out hunting for anyone, but if we come across people, and we know by checking ID and through booking that they are not legally present in the United States, it would be an abdication of duty as elected officials" not to cooperate with ICE, Beltran said.
Similar laws have been challenged in other states. The Florida legislation comes two years after Texas lawmakers passed a state law ordering that local authorities cooperate with ICE. Under the law, the state can fine local governments up to $25,500 a day for refusing to cooperate with immigration agents. Elected or appointed officials also can lose their jobs, and sheriffs and other police officers can face criminal charges if they refuse to cooperate.
Last year, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued San Antonio on allegations that its police chief failed to turn over to ICE a dozen migrants found inside a tractor-trailer, instead handing them to Catholic Charities, the Associated Press reported. San Antonio also joined several of Texas's largest cities, including Houston and Dallas, in challenging the state law in court. But the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit upheld the law.
In Tennessee, Shelby County Attorney Marlinee Clark Iverson, whose jurisdiction includes Memphis, issued an opinion stating the county sheriff and jail officials did not need to comply with a new state law that sought to force compliance with ICE.
"It was so vague that anybody from [ICE], even a secretary or janitor, could call and say, 'Hold this person indefinitely,' for any of amount of time, perhaps forever,"

My name is dennis. I have been writing about a large group of people making my life miserable. It is the worst kept secret in america. I have paper notes written from about 15 yrs ago and the google site itself is around 10 yrs old. it is thousands of pages in text and includes audio notes and images as well as some video which is listed on youtube. there are slightly more than 400 or so different sites and the most recent sites are at monthly site addresses, ie may2019. the specific site of the most recent site is at https://sites.google.com/site/dwdelaney/may2019 and the first site is at https://sites.google.com/site/dwdelaney/ . I ve tried to get peoples attention with the site and had hoped it might stop the people that are doing this to me to stop, it hasnt. lots of other sites, wordpress, flickr, tumblr, google photos, instagram. I had mistakenly thought i could shame them into stopping. I cannot. please help me.

im starting to have more problems with computers. people posting things to my social media sites. i delete and block and have had problems keeping the stuff off the screen. i guess some of that would be typical. in my situation though, i have things change - on screen - as im loking at it. they stole my tablet a couple weeks ago. i lost all my emails around 2005, after i left spk. started new email in 2005. thats why the emails start then. there are gaps in the voice recorder where the recorder didnt work and things were lost. my life has been about the same the whole time. seems like the pain is going up lately, esp to right heel. the ability to cause pain in very specific places shows an expertise in creating pain. dont tell me i consent and then prevent me from saying that i dont.
they did it again - i spent all afternoon sending articles to my email - they showed up on my screen and then they disappeared. there were only a couple left - i posted those - note esp kochs are manufacturing - baise - mark denzler - note link b/t rauner and paprocki - mel sembler- kingmakers - wojcicki - wojcicki and albanese - links to mgraw - mckenna chigop - mcds - - theyll show up later - big picture on stuff from today - kochs change website - yesterday - adopt different language - try to distance themselves from elected gop - other stuff gone - gregory in dc - black caths - knights of peter claver - note esp link b/t rauner and paprocki - and paprocki and ipi - gentlemen - mustache - campo - yrs - kochs and wichita - schockers - aaron schock - cross hairs - skinner box - team lift - nicky haley - 123 oclock - haley barber - oh yeah - pompeo in wichita - sylvanus partners - forced air - resurgens - able cravens - manufacturing - facio - maga - facio us - change the ag - kochs run ipi along w/ altria thompson - ipi is scrp - ierc - tea party - scb - scso - ilgop - caths are sheriffs - wojcicki - note wojcicki link to ilsen - furman schuh - furman milburn - liuna - industrial chem - street sweepers - see site at furmanmilburn - ima - baise bails for ii - mckenna bails for london - watch where the people go - gregory is in dc now - reineke is in dc - note ldrshp - butler in ilga - cheney in uscong - trump himself was elected on a platform of continuing to fuck with me - i saw the natl rev instagram page on saturday - there was a picture of bill murray in the film groundhog day - what are you going to do about it dennis - no hurry on dennis - ive been saying what ive been saying for a long time - im not trying to pretend to be something im not - its the defs that are pretending to be something theyre not - somebody should have stopped this a long time ago - i shouldnt have to do this - theres violence on both sides - we think the pres has full second ammendment authority to do whatever he wants - schaive and a herr cutt - ronde santis - whos extorting who

Addiction frame - the po -
5/24
Ive tried everything i can think of. I cant get an acct on twitter or snapchat or some of the other sites because i dont have a phone. I dont have a phone because i dont have any money. Ive been as clear and loud as i can possibly be. What ive been saying, ive been saying for along time. From what i understand, the defs are using the addiction frame as an excuse to make me live like this. They know it isnt true. I know it isnt true. The defs believe it doesnt need to be true in order to justify doing this to me. Ive written on this a lot, and for along time. I dont have anything to add here thats new. Some things have changed, perhaps. Regardless i will say what ive been saying. The po - . they busted hard. They knew theyd lose all along. Car talk - theyre on tape - on they radio. Talking about hitting me with chem. Not therapy. Not medicine. They arent fooling anyone with that nonsense. The evidence was cringeworthy good. Now the defs wont abide by the judgement. Po wont enforce because they are a named party. They are on the front page of the court documents. On the defendant side. They cant even pretend to be impartial. They dont have to. You cant police the police if theres no one to enforce the judgement. Wheres those handcuffs nancy. This thing has been going way too long. Before the legal complaint, 15 yrs ago. Before the page was started 10 yrs ago. The doj has changed administrations and tried to sabotage my case by influencing my individual actions and my thought process itself. I am subject to involuntary communication, i believe, while i sleep. I think this is i am kept, not just homeless, but outdoors homeless. I have reason to believe these communications have been used to attempt to weaken my case and used in combination with other strategies i encounter in my waking hour. The cocaine on the trash bags, back when i was led to believe that buying my food would risk forfeiting my case. This was itself used to bolster the addiction frame. Its worth pointing out im not addicted to anything, including cocaine, when maybe i should be. The fact that im not is the strongest possible evidence against the defs - and their bogus addiction. I ought to be suing the rouge partisans at doj for trying to get me addicted. Like those people making money off the opioid addicts. The people doing this to are not average people. They are experts in psychology and pain. That means chemistry, pest control, medicine and chemical warfare. It is particularly troubling that i believe dod, po, dod po which is mp are involved. Note esp rel b/t pols and dod - in ing - 33rd - esp il adj gen - and links to cl&e. Note esp austin is adj gen and ierc and scrp - politically this works w/ caths as well - as a social net that means kcs - and karl kemme - karlihker - etc. the link between the po and ing/scrp is strong - keen - gillette - all the evidence on spddefendants, scsodefendants, scrping, good example is sideshow bob, the knight mgr - social nets - get aux police status - chem - boesdorfer - steil was 3d shift - when he was pulled it gives a good window into the timeline. Note how things happen in sangamon county. All the names match up. Bob is russes brother - or his kid or something. Steil is irvs boy. The arson frame lets him mobilize ffs to hit me with chem as fire prevention. The shifts are 24 hrs - so they have lots fof time - xa clutzo - pest control - chem - note esp steil goes to iema - sticfusion - xa fema and iema - extraordinary powers - and note po and addiction frame - mrt and dirt - stone in derd - nix alums - team nix - chigop - rummy as rep - h/k - huizenga - note timeline on isp addiction - mrt - starts when i get into town - blago - gnuteck - cl&e sandbags jbt - roth dragoo - teaparty - the teaparty are way into the dwdelaney fun. And they have used gov as an excuse to have me as their entertainment. Thats why i argued 1983 - due process. Equal protection. The po is in the thing big. And they wojcocki at sheriffs. That doesnt know anything about law enforcement. Hes never spent a day of his life as a cop. He edited the spfld dio newsletter - and ringeisen created a job for hin uis lobbyist. Because he knows people. Hes got clout, power that he holds personally. Note esp wojcocki is ilsen, the woman from lg. And the woj fam link to albx - albanese - who, himself is linked to mgraw the mcds mgr in town. Mgraw owned the stores where certain inds worked - sixth st - macarthur/lg - several other. Mrt and dirt was po - and note caths are specifically involved in addiction frame from spk. And that followed me to spfld - they hit me really bad in spk with chem. They also physically hit me. Some guy ive never seen before just punched me in the nose twice, broke my nose, got the xrays and everything, and a car pulls up, a door opens, he walks up to the car and gets in. i got the plate, filed a report. I cant remeber how many i have filed reports and nothing ever happens. Dont know what to think of the inginspk stuff. I think they called me a pow and did sere pychology in order to justify hitting me with dod product chem. Chemical warfare materials and tactics. For fun, how to train your dragon. And i got to put up with pictures of groundhog day on the natl rev instagram page. FU. they know the addiction frame is bogus, but i guess the wh believes it is within the power of executive branch to make up some excuse in order to keep me living like this. I can have my life back when i give up my case. Shave and a hair cut . i have been thinking about this thing all wrong. Its all one big misunderstanding, they were really just trying to help me out. What with me being an addict and all.
First, the defs watch everything i do, every footstep, listen to every word. I write the page. They read. I filed a lawsuit against exactly what they are doing, with them as named defendants. How can they possibly say i consent. And they lost. Right. Also, note that the theres an element of txgop prank here. The jail - the charge b & e. Tx fam johnson. Designated as a pow - enemy combatant - lone wolf terr - spfld radio kelm - chatham package - lon chainey - chi football - monsters of the midway - romney from bain capital - bain is chigop - wolf bane - rabbit - bunny - bunny bread - bct - bread truck drivers - lfmc - sixth st - scb - pambianco - spfld roadrunners - sjh - hic - centaurs - shs - ackerman - terry nelson - duane gibson - -brooks bros - irv - stone - suncruz - palm - charlotte - ann colder - stuck in galv - halliburton - longies - ororke - obscen phone calls - gwb admin - agag - perry homicidal threats frame - xa rice arroz - night owls - smu - american graffitti - ron howard - happy daze - 123 oclock - 4 more years - haley barber - nicky haley - mark few - mark denzler - thers also shark smear linked to dads fam. Grandma remarries someone that has an adult son that works at the post. Never met the guy. Thats what the glasses thing is about. All this was supposed to be unearthed by the counterintel inv. But that was just cover for the fact they busted so hard. They got nothing. They had to find a reason to stall. The po wont enforce. The caths run it. Note usccb and h/k - esp the time period i leave ftl for spk - and note what happens when i get back to spfld. The thing with them putting me in jail. The cocaine on the floors and walls. Thats also the psych frame. Thats why the dude from efe - sc wants to use mental illness as an excuse for “treatment”. Its chem. Designed as poison and used to make me hurt and keep me from getting sleep - lincoln era gop - jeffe ron - whigs - ipi - peeps - humint - social network - fraternal orgs - shriners - fop - unions - sports - shgfootball - esp kcs - but see also - roa - ngaoi - teaparty - note esp link b/t - ilfop and ilroa - ilfop and ngaoi - xa ilfop pence link - gregorian chant - trumpence - baiseboll - kingmakers - mel sembler - rauner - paprocki - sembler seed - ftl - principles bldg next to apt in ftl - carlyle - bush - cia - clockwork orange - vala - guards - 233mp - 33 hq guards - jeepsters - crep - airport guards - and fd - xa scso - swat - tru - cit - and see names of people linked to dirt and mrt - esp eric hall - auburn - boesdorfer - boes link to mta - jasmon - nifong - trucks - coal trucks - tx ata - tex mex - job at shim factory - ed smith is tx liuna - furman milburn - furman schuh - txgop - mighty muffler - galv usarec - deps used to do ops - wal emps - note esp dunks spkr at conv for trademark - takes opportunity to spk to state that their largest competitor is political. Unsolicited on the topic, former bain emp says be happy. That has a very specific meaning for some readers - xa wal - omnimedia - terry nelson - duane gibson - bc04 - kjell - swift - blessing - ilgop - xa carlyle - txgop - dutton - bonilla - charles s dutton - the cover of the natl rev features - duane - the rock - johnson - txgop prank - not treatment - trick - xa aches - hh’s - jc - chamber - bob has a gavel collection - chamber ic - xa chamber trucks - mta - the addiction thing is like all the other stuff - all whisper campaign. No one says anything to me. I wrote up a website on wordpress - 953 - just on consent - they know i dont consent. Theyre not trying to listen. They dont have to. It doesnt matter. There is nothing i can say or do thats going to make them stop. Its not about addiction. They needed time to stall. Time too marginalize me. They can claim they killed my grandparents. They can claim im a ntional security threat. The fact is they dont have to prove any of this stuff. They knew theyd lose. And after they lost, they knew they would keep me living exactly the same way for as long as they wanted. It never made any difference. They joke about the whole thing - which is exactly what put them in this spot from the beginning. They cant admit what they did in sangamon county. To me. Then they followed me to florida, washington state, tx, and ive been in lots of different states now. They cant admit that they have been wrong. And as long as they dont have to - they wont. What they are doing to me is wrong. They know it. Or they should know it. They cant stop. Who is going to be the first person to blow this story up - because its coming - this is the worst kept secret in america. Its coming

Addiction frame - political power - dennispmoore - wpp - louisville slugger - h/k
I filed a lawsuit against these people. And, i think they lost. It doesnt matter. They are too powerful. They own the police. They cant admit that what they have doing to me was and is wrong. They have constructed this fantasyland where they are helping me, with some lie about an addiction to something. They say im addicted to alcohol and cocaine and other drugs. Im also a pedophile and a terrorist and an arsonist, the list is long. These lies have been used as an excuse to mobilize against me. To recruit people against me. It is also used as a purity test for people they want to hire. People they want to give power. They want people that will do their bidding, regardless of the law, or any sense of responsibility. Ive already talked about this on the site that begins with the image i have posted above.
The lawsuit i filed talks about misuse of authority. Due process violations and equal protection under the law. Things i dont get. And should. I should be eligilble for protection like others. They knew i wasnt a terrorist. At the highest levels. They know the addiction frame is bogus. Everyone else knows it too. it s the worst kept secret in america. The lawsuit also talks about rico. For a number of reasons. I will be talking about this stuff as i update my info re 2019. My case was written 2005. Hard to believe that i still have to live like this. Hard to believe.

Wh believes it has the exec power to do this to me. Art 2 etc. the addiction frame, they claim is legal cover for something else. They know it isnt true. They dont need a reason to do this to me. But they are using the addiction frame. I have, the right to talk about what they are doing to me. I think thats where we are in this thing.
If they could have stopped me from saying what im saying, they would have by now. What im saying is true. Its mostly talking about different parts of my body hurting at different times. The other things i have to say are: who i think is doing this and why. These things are mentioned in a way that is intended to encourage the people doing this to me to stop.

Text for cartalk - veritas - havent taken site because - runs into 1a issues - and cant arg civil defam - because what im saying is true - theyd have to arg on the merits - they dont want that - they lost - in court - but the wits cant speak in public - thats what the defs are betting on - thats why the po isnt enforcing - and they knew theyd lose all along - they cant even pretend to be impartial - they are named parties in the litigation. 1983 - due process - equal protection - and see esp - dod - mp - color - vigilantism - aux police - kcs - deps - usarec - note esp 233 - gillette - keen - fuel specialists - but see also corp - mcds - abe lincoln cab - wal - etc.
po is involved in mental illness frame - and addiction frame - they lost at trial - trying to argue that - based at least in part - upon recorderd communications between dispatch and squads - as well as comms b/t squads/ offcrs - and inds - phone convs in squads - as well as ind testimony - wits - addiction frame is - bo - gus - ive tried a lot of different social media sites. Google sites - dwdelaney - google photo - flickr - wordpress - medium - instagram - imgur - tumblr - youtube - I cant access the sites that require a phone like twitter, facebook etc. I cant even get an “obamaphone” because im homeless and my id wont register when i try to apply. I have try to say that i dont consent as loudly and as often as i can. They know its bogus. But you see the new statue in front of the alplm and the cover on the natl rev and you hear wh flacks say they think the pres can continue doing whats hes doing under article 2 exec power. It has been suggested that the doj picked up my case as a civil rts case and they won. Then i guess a new admin comes in and wants to blow up my case as its being appealed. Defs lose all appeals. Po and gop wont stop. They want to stall out and force me to concede consent. Schaive and a haircut - they might have some legal authority to do this to me. I dont understand how thats possible. I dont understand how i can be forced to live like this. It should stop. Ive been trying to say that. Someones not trying to hear me.

NOTE- Every so often some of my sites think I am Spam- or a Bot- I am not. My name is John Chiarello and I post original content [all videos and text are by me]. I do share my past posts from my other sites- but it is not spam- Thank you- John.
NEW- 11-21-18
Today I will make a ‘special post’- the last few days I have been speaking on subjects- and actual events- that speak to the unbridled criminal corruption in Corpus Christi and South Texas.
None of these events are new- except the possible bank robbery that happened yesterday- by a CCPD officer.
Note- I say POSSIBLE- Because the picture looks like a cop I know personally.
But either way- all the other accounts about the actual criminal activity from local law enforcement are indeed true- and have been documented by me before.
It was reported to me that a person handed over a cell phone to mayor Joe McComb which had child porn on the phone.
The phone belonged to a CCPD cop- the same one who seems to look like the bank robber.
It was reported to me that the mayor contacted Chief Markle- and the cop said the phone was stolen- yet did have child porn on the phone.
It was reported to me that the cop was demoted from detective to patrolman because of SOME STUFF on the phone.
How can SOME STUFF deem a demotion- yet the child porn was never investigated?
I also talked about incidents involving me and my children- yes- how local law enforcement repeatedly broke the law in targeting my kids!
This was documented by me over the past few years.
All the incidents I recounted today on the videos are simply my own personal experiences with CCPD-
I have no idea how many other criminal acts have been committed by them and other law enforcement in the area.
I do believe south Texas- Corpus Christi- is a real danger to those thinking of moving or starting a business here- there are many reasons besides the ones I noted in his short section.
I think I added the right links to the right videos- I posted all these videos the past 2 days to both facebook and Youtube.
Yes- some might get offended at the language on some videos- but that is not my intent.
What frustrates me is this has been going on for so many years in Corpus Christi-
And my experience tells me that even if a cop did a bank robbery- the authorities in this city would do all they could to cover it up.
Or to have the guy retire- then maybe let it go away-
They have done this with others in the past.
This type of out and out rampant corruption and criminality is a real and present danger to any thinking of coming to our area- plain and simple.
There are many other instances I did not mention on these short videos- abuse of homeless- homeless being targeted and brutally assaulted by current officers on the department- on and on.
They all know who they are- some have risen the ranks- and I guess to them it is a joke?
Our city has potential- but until the citizens realize what a problem we really have in Corpus Christi-
Then we simply recommend avoiding the area all all costs.
To those who have children in the higher education facilities - we recommend transferring them to San Antonio or another area where they will be safe.
International businesses should look at other Ports to do business with- whether it be Port Lavaca just north- or true professional Ports like where I grew up as a kid [Off the Hudson river].
Ok- I need to post this as soon as possible-
John
P. S.- I have met the cop mentioned above- and his wife- multiple times over the past few years.
I don’t know them well- but I do know them. It was the officers wife herself that relayed the information about the child porn on the phone! Why? I don’t really know- but the cops wife was the one who said her husband [the cop] later said the phone was stolen and therefore they did not hold him accountable for the child porn. She too was the one that said her husband was demoted because they found other ‘bad stuff’ on the phone.
Now- how in the ‘hell’ do you think I should take this?- This is the same CCPD cop that looks like the bank robber? You tell me chief Markle?
He is also thought to have set his truck on fire- because he could not make the truck payments- I am not sure if he is being investigated for this as well- but if this is true- then arson would be another crime- besides all the others!

TP Countdown Day 19: Laura’s Secret Diary
“She’s full of secrets,” said the little man from another place way back in the third episode of the first season. It’s hard to be sure who he was talking about -- whether the girl in the dream who was his cousin, who looked almost exactly like Laura Palmer, or Laura Palmer herself -- but it would certainly be fair to apply that description to Laura. Even this far into the investigation of her murder, she continues to keep secrets.
She’s got some help keeping this newest secret, a second diary -- a secret diary! -- that no one knew about and is currently in the possession of Harold “Creepy” Smith. He seems pretty proud of this fact when he pulls it out and shows it off to Donna during one of their visits. Donna seems to think they should bring it to the police, but Harold dismisses the idea and instead reads a racy portion of the diary to Donna. Way to get the ladies, Harold.
Donna is still convinced that the diary should go to the police, or, at the very least, should go to Donna, so she reaches out to Maddie for help, which is a pretty weird situation, because she’s clearly still pretty pissed at Maddie for looking like she’s been hooking up with James. But I guess when you have a narrow circle of people you trust, it affects who you can turn to for help. Donna vows to get the diary back with or without her help. And to be honest, the only reason I’m rooting for her success is that I’m kind of curious to see what’s in the diary myself.
But it’s not just Laura keeping secrets in this episode. Oh hell no.
Josie’s story begin to expand and we find out that there may be more to her than we first thought. Turns out the creepy asian dude who’s been hanging around for a few episodes (and who totally spied on Josie and Truman making out! -- is her cousin. Or at least tells Pete that he’s her cousin. Apparently someone named Eckhardt wants them back in Hong Kong for some reason. Mysteries!
Also, a mysterious food critic named M.T. Wentz is coming to Twin Peaks and everyone’s losing their shit hoping to be able to get a good review. But no one knows who he is or what he looks like. A few candidates arrive, but as of yet no one as figured out who he is, though Hank has decked out the Double-R in tablecloths, flowers, and candles, so that’s got to count for something.
Speaking of the diner, the final scene of the episode makes it look at Hank and Norma -- or maybe just Hank? -- is living in the Double-R. I guess there could be an apartment up stairs or something, but it seems weird to answer the door fo the diner when it’s closed. I guess that’s just the kind of good customer service that’s important to parolee Hank.
In other news, we’re reminded that the police are looking for the one armed man, who I’ve been calling Mike Gerard during this whole recap when in fact his name is Phillip Gerard, and his middle name is Mike, so, oops. Also, this reminder is kind of awkward and forced with Cooper seeing Andy’s boots are the same brand they found at Leo’s place, and where did he get them? From Gerard! See, there was a clue at Leo’s place! Which was, uh, boots? I don’t know, I figured Coop still wanted to talk to him about the whole “Without chemicals he points,” thing, but I guess they needed another reason.
Audrey is still being held against her will in Canada, and still presumably being occasionally filled up with heroin. That can’t be good for her. Jean Renault, though, wants to make sure she has a nice time, and when he gets word that Emory has been roughing her up, he takes Emory out. Like, with a bullet. Jean visits Ben Horne and tells him what it’ll take to get his daughter back -- money, cutting Jean in as a partner at One Eyed Jacks, and for Coop to be the one delivering the ransom. So he can kill Coop, of course. He doesn’t mention this to Ben though. What Ben doesn’t know won’t hurt him, right? Cooper agrees to take the ransom and by the episode’s end he ready to work with the finest Bookhouse Boy available to get the deed done. Of course Sheriff Truman steps up to the plate, because who else is gonna have Coop’s back.
And let’s close things off with the first thing that happened this episode -- Leland’s confession to the murder of Jacques Renault. It’s a pretty heartbreaking scene, with Leland talking about an emptiness that extends beyond just grief, and how he was lashing out from that place. It’s a compelling scene, and it’s one that I think manages to work even given what we’ll find out about Leland in another few episodes. Everyone seems especially broken up about what Leland has done, and in seeing a good man turned bad by tragedy. Judge Sternwood, himself a perfect addition to the quirky cast of Twin Peaks has kind words for Leland even as he acknowledges the man’s crime.
That’s one of the little joys of a place like Twin Peaks. It’s a town where even after committing the most horrible of crimes, you can still be treated with kindness and respect. People can see through the act to the person inside. Maybe it’s best summed up by this exchange between Judge Sternwood and Cooper.
Judge Clinton Sternwood: [meeting Cooper for the first time] Mr. Cooper, how do you find our little corner of this world?
Special Agent Dale Cooper: Heaven, sir.
Judge Clinton Sternwood: Well, this week, heaven includes arson, multiple homicides, and an attempt on the life of a federal agent.
Special Agent Dale Cooper: Heaven is a large and interesting place, sir.
It certainly is, Coop. It certainly is.
