11. What fic was the most satisfying to finish writing?

My R/S Big Bang fic, hands down! That was such a project and I'm incredibly excited to finally share it with everyone. It has more plot and magical world building than any other thing I've written. It'll be posted sometime in January and I hope that you'll all enjoy it.

12. What fic was the most difficult to write, did you finish it?

Oh god, my fic for the Untagged Fest (Bed Roulette) was like pulling teeth from start to finish. For those unfamiliar, for the fest you are given five characters, two tropes and two genres and you are supposed to write a story. My fic was a only one bed comedy and...yeah. It was hard. I'm still not happy with it, but I did finish it!

20. Share your favourite ending line.

Sirius might be the one named after the brightest star in the sky, but he knows that without James Potter there would be no light at all.

Who created God? God's God? A lot of religious peeps argue with the topic of "intelligent design". Intelligence can only be created by intelligence and not by a stochastic processes. My favorite argument: If time and everything starts with God where we assume God is an intelligent being, God was created from a stochastic process OR from God's God. Logic Fallacy: Time and all matter is created by God Intelligence can only be created by God God is an intelligent being God created God Assuming that God created himself, that means we can assume the truthiness of the following: Something that does not exist can with its own currently un-existing will create its existence by will. If we allow for one higher God to coexist, we would end up with a recursive pattern and we would have infinitely many different Gods: Time and all matter is created by God Intelligence can only be created by God God is an intelligent being God created another God -> goto (1.) So that would mean we are stuck in a constant while loop, maybe that's how big bang was caused? /s If we assume that it's impossible for an un-existing being to create itself by its own currently un-existing will and there is no God's God, we would end up with the following logical fallacy, assuming only God can create intelligent life: Time and all matter is created by God Intelligence can only be created by God God is an intelligent being God was created by a stochastic process Stochastic processes can create intelligent beings To me, this "proves" how flawed "intelligent design" as an idea really is. Also, we know by fact that there exists a lot of different stochastic processes in nature which we can study with our own eyes (f.e radiation). Ibovespa sobe repercutindo o discurso do presidente do Fed; dólar cai a R$ 5,59

SÃO PAULO – O Ibovespa opera em alta nesta quinta-feira (27) com os investidores atentos ao discurso do presidente do Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, em Jackson Hole.

Powell disse que o Fed buscará uma abordagem mais tolerante à inflação, que tem como meta chegar a a 2% ao ano ao longo do tempo. “O máximo nível de emprego é um objetivo amplo e inclusivo. Podemos ter um mercado de trabalho robusto sem uma disparada na inflação”, destacou.

Também no radar, hoje saiu a segunda estimativa do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) dos Estados Unidos no segundo trimestre, com uma contração de 31,7%, menor que a esperada pelos economistas. A mediana das projeções compilada pelo consenso Bloomberg apontava para queda de 32,5%.

Já os pedidos de seguro-desemprego totalizaram 1.006.000 na semana passada nos EUA, número em linha com a mediana das expectativas.

Às 10h17 (horário de Brasília) o Ibovespa tinha alta de 0,44%, aos 101.074 pontos.

Enquanto isso, o dólar comercial cai 0,35% a R$ 5,5914 na compra e a R$ 5,5927 na venda. O dólar futuro para setembro tinha baixa de 0,53%, a R$ 5,582.

No mercado de juros futuros, o DI para janeiro de 2022 tem alta de um ponto-base a 2,86%, o DI para janeiro de 2023 opera estável a 4,11%, o DI para janeiro de 2025 registra alta de dois pontos-base a 6,00% e o DI para janeiro de 2027 sobe um ponto-base a 6,99%.

No Brasil, a grande preocupação diz respeito à relação entre o ministro da Economia, Paulo Guedes, e o presidente Jair Bolsonaro. Em meio a divergências sobre o Renda Brasil, ganharam força rumores de que o ministro deixaria o governo.

Entretanto, ontem o ministério divulgou uma nota reforçando que Guedes não pretende deixar o cargo. Uma nova proposta sobre o Renda Brasil deve ser formulada pela equipe de Guedes até amanhã.

Entre as commodities, o preço do petróleo cai mesmo com a chegada do furacão Laura à região do Golfo do México. Já o minério de ferro cai – o negociado em Qingdao com pureza de 62% teve queda de 1,7% – após a BHP, maior mineradora do mundo, alertar que oferta deve aumentar, moderando os preços.

Na Ásia, o lucro do setor industrial chinês aumentou 19,6% ante o ano passado. A alta foi de 11,5% em junho.

Fritura de Guedes

O grande assunto do dia no noticiário político e econômico continua a ser as divergências em Brasília. Após o adiamento do “Big Bang Day”, que ocorreria nesta terça-feira, começaram rumores de que o ministro da economia, Paulo Guedes, estaria passando por um processo de “fritura” por parte do presidente Jair Bolsonaro.

Depois de o presidente criticar publicamente a proposta do programa Renda Brasil, elaborada pela equipe de Guedes, a expectativa de que o ministro pedisse demissão ganhou força. Ao mesmo tempo, voltou a circular o nome do presidente do Banco Central, Roberto Campos Neto, como possível sucessor de Guedes.

No entanto, o Ministério da Economia negou que o ministro pretenda deixar o cargo. “Não procede marcação de coletiva para pedido de demissão. Ministro continua despachando normalmente. Estava em reunião com secretários de Fazenda, conforme agenda”, diz a assessoria da pasta em nota.

O ministro está preparando uma proposta alternativa ao Renda Brasil, que vai substituir o Bolsa Família. De acordo com a Folha de S.Paulo, sua equipe prepara um modelo no qual o novo benefício começaria a ser pago no ano que vem, podendo partir de R$ 220 ou R$ 230. O valor é próximo aos R$ 190 pagos hoje pelo Bolsa Famíla e inferior ao desejado por Bolsonaro, que pressiona por parcelas de ao menos R$ 300.

Como não há consenso no governo sobre os programas que seriam extintos para custear o Renda Brasil, o novo desenho de Guedes prevê que o programa comece a rodar em valor menor e os pagamentos seriam ampliados com o tempo.

Na quarta-feira, o presidente Bolsonaro declarou ter suspendido a apresentação do novo programa social. “A proposta, como a equipe econômica apareceu para mim, não será enviada ao Parlamento, não posso tirar de pobres para dar para paupérrimos”, afirmou em discurso, durante cerimônia em Ipatinga (MG).

O presidente da Câmara, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), apoiou a decisão de Bolsonaro de recusar a proposta da equipe econômica para o Renda Brasil e disse que a equipe do ministro Paulo Guedes vazou a proposta antes de consultar o presidente.

Uma nova versão do programa Renda Brasil deve ser concluída até amanhã. Segundo o Estado de S. Paulo, este foi o prazo dado pelo presidente ao ministro da Economia para a apresentação de uma nova proposta.

Um novo encontro de Bolsonaro com ministros foi marcado para sexta-feira. Este é também o prazo em que o governo espera definir o valor da ampliação do auxílio emergencial, que será estendido até dezembro.

Também chamou atenção ontem a fala da assessora especial do Ministério da Economia, Vanessa Canado. Ela declarou que o tributo sobre pagamentos que está sendo analisado pelo governo, chamado de nova CPMF, não vai incidir só sobre a economia digital, mas sobre “todas as transações”. Inicialmente, existia um debate no governo de que o novo imposto poderia incidir só sobre comércio eletrônico.

Medidas aprovadas pela Câmara

Além disso, ontem a Câmara dos Deputados aprovou a Medida Provisória (MP) 960, que prorroga até 2021 incentivos tributários para empresas brasileiras que atuam na área de comércio exterior. Agora, o texto segue para o Senado.

A MP estende o regime chamado “drawback”, que permite a isenção de tributos às exportadoras sobre insumos importados usados na produção de mercadorias que, em seguida, serão vendidas a outros países.

Outro destaque desta quinta-feira é a notícia de aprovação de um projeto que institui nova lei de Recuperação Judicial e Falências no Brasil. O projeto foi aprovado nesta terça-feira, 25, pela Câmara dos Deputados. O texto atualiza a legislação que está em vigor desde 2005, considerada defasada pelo setor empresarial. O texto agora segue para análise do Senado.

De acordo com o texto, se autorizado pelo juiz, o devedor em recuperação judicial poderá fazer contratos de financiamento, inclusive com seus bens pessoais em garantir, para tentar salvar a empresa da falência.

Radar corporativo

Em relação ao mundo empresarial, um dos destaques do dia é a aprovação da venda de participação remanescente de 37,5% detida pela Petrobras na BR Distribuidora (BRDT3). Além disso, a Helbor (HBOR3) anunciou a venda de ativos por R$ 132,14 milhões.

Os investidores aguardam hoje o resultado trimestral da BrasilAgro (AGRO3) e acompanham a teleconferência da Yduqs (YDUQ3) sobre o balanço divulgado na véspera.

A Yduqs teve um prejuízo de R$ 79,5 milhões no segundo trimestre, revertendo lucro de R$ 194,8 milhões obtido no mesmo trimestre do ano passado. A receita avançou 3,5% para R$ 991,1 milhões. Já o Ebitda (lucro antes de juros, impostos, depreciação e amortização (Ebtida, na sigla em inglês) caiu 67,5%, para R$ 111,2 milhões.

Também chama atenção o pedido do Ministério Público Federal em Minas Gerais para que a Vale (VALE3) seja condenado a pagar R$ 54 bilhões em indenizações pela tragédia de Brumadinho.
