Marriage of State AU: Masterpost

My WIP Empires S1 AU featuring a completely different timeline, some canon problems are not issues but we've given them all new ones to make up for it.

At this point the arranged marriages are more of a minor plot point because I have gotten lost in the worldbuilding of fantasy geopolitics, religion, and agricultural commerce, but the name stuck long enough that we're just rolling with it.

now let me break down what i'm trying to do here:

boba au is about how the plot and group dynamics of rain code would change if the train detectives survived and made it into kanai ward. it's not quite an everybody-lives-au... some things are better and some things are worse. :)

yuma gets two detective friends per case instead of just one. the crimes remain the same (for the most part), but they way they get unraveled will be different.

as yuma and shinigami's relationship is the core focus of the actual game of rain code, i will not be focusing on that here. he's still haunted, shinigami is still there technically, but i'm not going to draw her in most of the scenes because i'm more interested in the other detectives getting fleshed out. also i'm not really interested in shinigami anyway

most of the interactions will be platonic, but there will also be some romantic(ish) relationships that the game didn't really do well or do at all. nothing past T rated unless you ask real nice and you're free to interpret stuff however you want. ships will be tagged/revealed as they show up in updates but honestly? most of these ships don't have names yet so I'll have to come up with something taggable LOL

Art quality will vary wildly because this is just a fan project and i need to save my Polished Finished Art energy for school and original work

CRACKS KNUCKLES- since I'm too lazy to draw stuff bc this is a loaded question I'll put links on certain words to what I'm referring to on the way. Also Saint and downpour warnings~

SO Emergence is a comic series I've been making bc the ending of Saint made me cry like a bitch so I NEED my happy ending.

To establish when this starts just as Saint reaches karma 10 but has ascended neither Moon nor Pebbles and actually goes to Moon first. (Comic Page 1) She and Pebs p much rearrange the entire facility ground to make a city and such, I won't get into too much detail because this will be shown in the comic!

A broadcast is sent out inviting iterators to come over to the Emergence Facility grounds and find a new purpose/stability!

Though ofc a bunch of shit happens bc void fluid is rising and trying to stop it just causes a bunch of conflict :)

Like one of which between Pebs n Suns bc duh- and I even got to make an animatic of it ;)

some other things I guess that I established Iterator generations for Emergence, a few previous broadcasts of local groups and introduced A Humid Breeze, Seven Distant Valleys who is A Plausible Links ancient!

All that Phantom talk yesterday got me obsessing even more over Hitman Zilch, so I'll serve y'all one of my finest grim dishes on the house!

Hitman Zilch dons the personas of his victims partly in hopes that combining bits and pieces of these identities will grant him all the attention n love from Yomi he desires, destroying all that barely remains of his original self to become an amalgam of people he's killed but believes would suit Yomi's wants in a partner. Maybe he even believes that adding Yomi's own identity to his collection is the highest form of love, showing that he is willing to become one with him by metaphorically wearing his skin, loving him inside and out.

This book is a nuanced journey through sapphic love and loss. It contains every poem I have written to and about my ex-girlfriend, Dany. These poems span from the very start of our relationship to well past the end, each line radiating with raw honesty—a trademark of my writing.
