begging people to realize that the back warehouse of a grocery store is not a second, secret grocery store that has everything you need plus some extra secret items the first grocery store does not have

#look it probably varies from store to store #but at least where i work the back is a fucking mess.#like. you're imagining neat tidy shelves and specific sections for each product #that is not what the back is. it's a disorganized hellhole with every type of product piled haphazardly on top of each other #wheelers lying around with the most random items.#you have to understand that if a grocery worker were to 'check in the back' for something #it would likely take 10ish minutes if it WAS there.#and like. stuff like produce isn't just going to be kept in boxes in the back either. or meat or seafood.#if they have sellable meat or produce they're not just going to stick it in some deep freezer in the back #and wait for it to become two days away from unsellable before they bring it out.#with those departments especially if they have something you want it is going to be on display #and if it's not they don't have it.#stuff like soda is a bit easier to find usually #but even then there's so many different brands all piled together in crates on the same wheeler #not even opened #and i hate to say it but most grocery workers honestly just have more important things to do #than go rooting around like truffle pigs in the back for the stuff you want.#they might be doing price change or they might be stocking a new product #or they might be trying to fill a central display case #or they might be filling an online shopping order and thus on a time crunch #and even if none of those are the case a grocery worker can get called away to a different task on a dime.#they can't just drop everything to hunt in the back for whatever fucking granola bars you want so bad.#absolutely we can tell you where things are #and we can recommend alternatives to out of stock items. sure. but you'll only be wasting your time and ours #if you ask us to check for something in the back.

Technically speaking intro dena humko aata nahi kyunki hum hai distracted ultra pro max insaan. Bakte bakte kab kahan kis tangent pe nikal jate humko khudko pata nhi hota. The thing is don't be surprised if you randomly find words that don't make sense (they do, just not to you) cause I'm a multilingual insaan with a few words of lotsa languages thrown into my vocabulary making a right khichdi of words and feelings up there. But then again sometimes I don't even understand what's going on up there myself so we can drink to that. (I don't drink. We'll be getting high on jaljeera and air)

As for this blog, it's a metaphysical (is that the right word?) representation of me (I guess?) Not really sure. Definitely this insanity is a part of me. But is not all of me. Recent game related things .. hrmm...

#I do like the inconsistency of the first map. that is actually something older but that I re-found and added to my Game Reference stuff #so that when characters reference where they're from I can be accurate. I like that the whole map is kind of shifted up that way. Where the #actual south part doesnt even count as the south since its Too Far and Scary lol. and if you say you're from 'the north' thats basically #like.. one single continent. Though some people do make distinctions like 'north midlands' or etc. still. I like the ways that common #language isn't always precisely accurate like that. and thinking about why a culture would classify things a certain way or etc. etc.#The inventory page is so funny to me because it's literally just the BASe like.. sample layout just to make sure it works properly with 0 #actual design into it. just colored rectangles thrown together in MS paint. but what if I like... left it like that.. what if all the other #art in the game and UI is like stylized and fully matching BUT the inventory/journal/etc. screens I just left as plain colored blocks #with random misalignments and black spots and etc gjhbhjj... It looks unfinished in a Funny Contrast way to me.#the wordcounts are just like... my past few days of writing.. I am still not getting 2200 words a day done or whatever I needed. I'm lucky #if it's even half of that .... tee hee.. :3c I do also keep having appointments and other things going on but..grrr...#The full map of the area is probably not necessary but I thought it would be more realisitc if people were able to reference things. Like i #you have people all living in a city area probably at some point someone might mention a neighboring city or some landmark nearby #or etc. so I thought having at least the basic names of what's around for reference would be sensible. A side character mentioning #'oh yeah I don't live here full time I just travel from Marisene sometimes' or whatever makes it seem more like a Real #Fleshed Out Place than people just making vague references like 'the river' or 'i come from a city nearby' or 'i went to a place somewhere #around here' or 'the other city' or etc. lol.. Especially since global cities/global areas are weird as they operate almost like an #independent country within their walls. so it's like a micro country inside of another country usually. just plopped down in some agreed #upon plot of land that won't be too disruptive to the main country around it. That could get very complex depending on the cultural and #political backdrop of where they're placed (though obviously they try to choose the 'easiest' areas possible for it). Asen is a very mild #country without much history of conflict or anything so it's fine. But still interesting that Sifeh and the entire branched out global area #border three other districts of Asen. Which means like 3 times the local representitives you'l have to negotiate with for some major change #or anything. I think one of the 'random characters you can find around the world and have short discussions with just to make the area #feel more populated and real even though theyre not actual important npcs' is going to be a guy who actually serves on the council that #handles running the global areas and he's like.. some perpetually exhausted middle aged elf running around with a clipboard or whatever #ANYWAY...... hrgh... still trying to write when I can....#I WISH so badly that I had the scope for a simple character creation menu and all character interactions would allot for the background #of your player character. And also to have a simple day night cycle where places in the world you explore/people you talk to during the day #have new options or dialogue at night.. BUT alas... I already am so behind on everything as is lol.. aughhh... T o T #As the worlds number one Needless Detail And Complexity Enjoyer i must dilligently prevent myself from adding additional complexity

Okay so basically the United States MINT of all people is going to be working with DC to make a line of coins! These coins sadly won't be in circulation (the things I would do to live in a world where I could get Batman coins from the supermarket) as they're collectors coins, but will be releasing over the course of the next 3 years, 2025-2027.

Designs haven't been released yet (the same is true for all 2025 designs) but we know there will be 9 coins in total (3 each year) with the first year featuring (of course!!!) Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

Although we know the first three heroes to be featured, the remaining six have yet to be decided, and it turns out the Mint is putting out a survey on their site to gauge which of a group of culturally significant heroes people want to see most! (link to the form is mentioned in the article above)

The considered group includes: Supergirl, the Flash, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, John Stewart GL, Aquaman, Hawkman, Jamie Reyes BB, Robin (Damian?), Cyborg, and Batgirl, of which 6 will be selected.

As someone who does a bit of coin collecting myself (mainly circulation coins like the quarters sets, but I also have a couple proof and collectors coins) I think this is a really cool and interesting idea that showcases the history of the comics medium and these characters and their influence on American culture. Really excited to wait and see what the designs look like for the coins already announced!

I hate that I have ship sensitivities. Makes me feel bad and guilty. I have like over 80 blocked tags because my stupid brain doesn't like seeing ships.

So you know how in Shakespearean plays the unmarried girls would actually be played by boys who hadn’t gone through puberty yet? (If I remember correctly from magic tree house) and how voice actors for young boy characters are sometimes played by women because a woman’s voice doesn’t change going through puberty and therefore no child labor laws because it’s not a child? (I think that’s why idk i remember reading it somewhere. )Well in Vorin theater (do they have plays? I don’t know if they do but I think they should) a young boy would be played by a younger girl since the safehands aren’t a thing until they’re like 12/13 and the girl can read and their voices would sound similar. The older male roles would be probably be played by Ardents since they can read.

i hate the popup where tumblr asks you to disable your ad block bc even if i DID have ad-free browsing i have so many random things blocked just bc i cant stand clutter and hate being force-fed literally any content. i have the "check out these blogs" and "more blogs like this" element blocked. i blocked radar. i blocked a few of the tabs since you cant reorganize them so that i could have blog notifications as my second tab

even if i did pay to be ad free you are not getting rid of ublock, if one day in the future you wont let me join without it then i just dont have a blog anymore. end of the road for me

OWDNWKDNWKD IM CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT THIS IS IN REFERENCE TO TBH.... but really its just about hunting down the right resources and doing a lot of cross-referencing for me!!! I really enjoy learning new stuff and highly value accuracy so i have a lot of fun fishing for scientific papers and going on research binges for information i can use in a story-- sometimes it takes a minute to sift through the academic language so i can understand what its saying, but usually i can get the gist of what im reading, which helps a lot when i start cross-referencing with more layman-friendly articles :]

#shouting speaks #asks #idk how extensive i'd call my research binges but they usually last abt 2-4 hrs whenever im really invested in smth #i know that au where i started researching different ways to make tattoo ink took a solid THREE DAYS tho that info was hard to find 😭😭😭#tbh the cross-referencing is v important to me bc there can be conflicting information out there #so i like to cast a really wide net at first and take notes on whats generally represented in all of the papers and articles i peruse #and then start really narrowing my searches to specific pieces of info #and then kinda piece the picture together with a variety of different sources #altho sometimes i have personal experience with stuff so i can just add my own knowledge to the mix skfnwkdjwkdj #random fun fact!!! ive watched cataract and ent surgeries before!!! you'd be surprised at how useful the info from that is #txt

Have y'all ever been in a really productive mood towards a specific thing and you get all excited and then run into a road bump and realize that wait, you can't actually complete this task at the moment, you don't have all the tools yet

#I was working on writing down some lunch ideas because I've been struggling with making lunches for school that aren't just leftovers #Or random cooked meat we had in the fridge + instant rice #And then I realized that I would have to do some prep before hand #Which led me to remember that I need to make a schedule/routine for myself because I was an absolute mess without one during the summer #I was getting really pumped up and ready to write down a routine plan when I realized that #Once I got a Job (hopefully soon)#I would have to rewrite the whole schedule. I might even have to remove some important stuff depending on the work hours #So now I'm kinda just sitting here being anxious about it #I'm sure I'll find someway to work around the time and do my stuff. But not knowing the exact amounts of time I'll have is stressing me out

i understand the point people are making with those posts but it's always a bit funny to me when i see those posts about like "god people are so weird with how they talk about Japanese/Korean culture, imagine we do the same thing with Germany and suddenly start to drop German words into our sentences like that that'd be so weird" and it's like, yeah, i can imagine that, very well, that's what living in Europe in the late 2000s during the Tokio Hotel mania was like.
