BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99 Vince Vaughn (that's him on the left side in the picture above) became famous through the various comedy roles that he had done. He became a favorite, probably for his role in the second season of the crime anthology 'True Detective'. Though none of the seasons or performances from the series match the finesse or depth of the first season, it was still an amazing performance and a totally unexpected revelation of a comedy actor. But that was it for another two years. No challenging role came from this talented actor. Then came the film 'Brawl in cell block 99' . It is not a very popular film. But it deserves more attention. The film is raw and bloody. The weakhearted can stay away from this one. If you are a fan of 'brain crushing out of broken skull' kind of violence, then this is definitely a film for you. What Vince has brought to this character is what makes it different. When you hear about a character like this, you would probably want to think of someone huge and scary. Not Vince, though he is more than 6ft tall! His height and broad physique has definitely helped this character. But barring the natural physique to get into the skin of a character like this, it is definitely not easy to make it as menacing as it came out in the film. It was so monstrous to watch him crush his enemies like they were insignificant creatures. Watching him felt like a tall building collapsing onto you. You can run, but it is going to cover you anyways.
