rapid fire neuvillette headcanons because i have A Lot on my mind

he has fangs that aren't too noticeable if you aren't already looking for them. however, they tend to get in the way every now and then, and he has, embarrasingly, bit his tongue more than once. and no, he's unable to adjust his physical form like some dragons can, at this moment in time anyway, so this isn't something that can be fixed.

he does get jealous in relationships both platonic and otherwise, but 1) it's less in an angry way and more so like " hey i was here first :( " if he has actually known said person longer, and 2) he always tries to hide it, so it isn't that big of a deal. he usually feels guilty for feeling like that anyway.

rarely does he spend any money on himself unless it's absolutely necessary. not because there's nothing he wants, rather, he'd just prefer to hoard the mora until he actually needs it for an emergency. so basically just typical dragon things.

he doesn't ever truly feel like he belongs in his own skin. he's either too detached from humanity to fit in, or too detached from his true identity that his own existence feels ingenuine. oftentimes, when there is no work to be done, he has to take some time to remind himself that, yes, the body he's in is his own.

he doesn't hate any of the archons, and especially not furina. he just doesn't like that they have authority that doesn't actually belong to them. if he had to list the archons we know of in order from his most to least favorite based on what he knows of each archon's personality, it'd be: furina, nahida, zhongli, ei, venti.

while his mood does influence the weather, it doesn't mean he's upset every single time rain rolls in. sometimes, it genuinely is just in the forecast and he has nothing to do with it. when he does influence the weather though, he winds up feeling guilty for ruining some people's days and bringing their moods down, which... in turn, makes the weather worse until he can properly recover. it's an aggravating cycle, he knows.

he is well aware of most of the theories surrounding his true identity. he's heard people refer to him as furina's familiar, a strange hydro being, some actually managed to guess his identity ccorrectly without realizing it, some even claim he's the real archon, and he's...not particularly fond of any of the untrue claims. he doesn't speak up about them just because he'd rather avoid unnecessary confrontation, but know that it does bother him.

he 100% sees vautrin and carole in the traveler and paimon, and that comparison makes their presence very comfortable and yet equally upsetting. whenever they spend time together, the weather tends to be quite inconsistent.

There's this moment in Mark of Athena (I think), where Annabeth kind of internally laments that Percy doesn't listen to her when she talks about architecture. She describes his eyes glazing over etc etc. But there are several moments in the books where Percy recalls facts she told him and shares them with other, or moments where he sees a building he thinks is cool and thinks about her. And I just ... I need Annabeth to know that her best friend & boyfriend is hanging onto every word and even sharing her facts with other people.
