nah. they're really touchy amicas, tho. probably because im always touchy with my friends and it just kinda rubs off on my art. ravage is my Me character so i do end up giving him traits i have. one of those is being touchy with people he cares about 🤷‍♂️. he's especially touchy with drift as when they were grouped together in the dead end (which is where they met in my brain), ravage spent a lot of hours curled up in drift's car alt with laserbeak and buzzsaw for shelter. that touchy aspect never really left their dynamic.

and besides,

drift/deadlock's candle has always been lit for someone else.

1. How many works do you have on A03?

18 as of a few days ago!

2. What's your total A03 word count?

157,937! Which is. Only a fraction of the word count in my Docs folder. Be prepared.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I mainly write for The Legend of Zelda; specifically Linked Universe! In fact, that's all that's posted on my Ao3 currently, since my fall into that fandom began with me uploading there! Pre-Ao3 I wrote for Black Cat (Anime/Manga), Megaman NT Warrior, various Pokémon things, Assassin's Creed, Yugioh, Final Fantasy XIV and Octopath Traveler! Some of these I still write privately, but I haven't gotten around to re-posting any.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Whistling on Deaf Ears - My longest fic on Ao3, focusing on Wild and Twilight's friendship and how good intentions can lead to disaster.

Iconoclasm - Warriors deals with the room full of portraits in Cia's palace. The Chain also deals with it, but with a bit more fire.

Deserving - Twilight finally tells Rusl that he was the wolf in the village during TP, but that also means dealing with some heavier topics. Colin half overhears them and forms his own conclusions.

Something Greater - The start of the "Hyrule can see magical auras" series! In this one we deal with Legend and his many rings.

Ocean Magic - Mermaid Legend and Zora Time have a race and then fight one of the Big Octos from WW! Fun times.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Every single one!! I love comments, they give me an excuse to ramble about my fic more!! I am always down to ramble about every single insignificant detail of any line and/or section. If you ever want more background info about one of my fics, look to the comments!

So please, I adore comments, I treat them like treasures, not responding to them would be a CRIME.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

There's no contest; Inevitable, my (so far) only MCD fic.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Hmmm, that's hard to quantify. I usually try to end fics on a hopeful note regardless. I'd say possibly either Deserving, where Twilight reconnects with his family, or Shimmering Blue, Striking White, where Time meets the Fierce Deity settled down on Satori Mountain and they both get closure.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, no! I've been blessed with mostly amazing and patient readers, even when my upload schedule isn't the best.

9. Do you write smut?

No, not really. I've attempted it, but I'm too asexual for it lol

10. Do you write crossovers?

Very, very rarely. Mostly privately, and only very specific ones. Only a single one has had an actual plot, so far (more on that one in question 15!).

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Also a nope! I tend to write for smaller fandoms, where these things don't tend to happen a lot!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I have! But it's been a while. Over a decade, in fact! I tried to find the fic to link it here, but it was on the German fanfic website fanfiktion.de, and my friend who posted it back then must have deactivated her account, because it's nowhere to be seen (I still have the Word file though!). It was a Multi-Crossover that started as an RP in a forum, and we took turns turning the RP into prose one chapter each. "If a Hero Turns to Dark" was its title. We were edgy teenagers.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Hissssss. Bad question. Shoo. They are all equally important!!

But it's probably TenRose from Doctor Who.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

One of the very few crossovers I've ever worked on; a crossover fic between Assassin's Creed and Doctor Who, that I have mapped out in both chronological and timeline order, and yes, those are different. I only ever wrote about a quarter of it, since my primary audience of it disappeared when we graduated. I doubt I'll ever pick it back up properly, and if I do it'll probably go through heavy rewrites first since it's so old. Finishing it is a nice thought, but realistically, after 9 years it'll never be high priority enough for it to actually happen.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, especially arguments, and emotional impact. I've been told I do really well making characters feel alive and believable! Also I like to believe I'm decent at setting a scene and giving it the vibe I want it to have!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I struggle with dialogue tags when nothing much is happening besides the talking. I always feel it's too bland, and fall back on the same phrases. My scene transitions could use some work too.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've done this with Japanese phrases, because I was a massive weeb. Usually I followed them up with their own translations, though; I'm not the biggest fan of footnote translations, unless they are properly linked to. Simple dialogue tags are my favourite way of indicating a language switch.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Black Cat the Manga/Anime! It's a series about an assassin turned bounty hunter trying to live a life separate from his murdery past, but getting dragged back into things by still wanting to avenge his best friend's death. The series has a special place in my heart and my bookshelf, it left an imprint on 13-year-old me that will never leave.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

Probably Jailbreak, uncharacteristically enough! It's one of the only fics I never got stuck in once. Writing it was a great feeling from start to finish. I love writing all of my fics, but that was a special few days.

Jio

From the ninja hideout, there would be constant grumbling outrages from Jio along the lines of "I can handle myself!" and "My wounds are not so bad," and "Stop babysitting me!". So even a patient one can bark at a fidgety elf who's always spinning in place and scare Jio either by promise to immobilising him or hitting him with a boot so that he'll finally sit down quietly and let Farmer treat his fresh wounds. Luckily, Jio, though grumpy, was moderately wise, and he didn't argue with Farmer any further. In fact, he was glad they'd volunteered to treat his cuts from the monsters' claws - no one else would be as trustworthy as Farmer, the keeper of the peace of the entire Stardew Valley, to whom Jio had a soft spot in his heart. But he just... doesn't like to appear so helpless and weak in front of them. Though being capricious and showing pride isn't better at all.

Daia:

"Oh, everything hurts so much! Can you look at my wound here? It's so, oh, it so hurts!" Something about all the moaning that Daia is letting out doesn't sound too much like painful moans from someone who is suffering from wounds. Although the wound is real, and quite nasty, it's as if the girl isn't paying much attention to it. But all her attention is directed to the face of the shy Farmer, whose cheeks are already flushed from all this flirting and Daia's ambiguous innuendos. Lady, you just almost got killed in Ridge Forest, can we take this a little more seriously? "Oops, that bandage slipped, can you wrap them tighter? Tighter~" She's hopeless. But Daia finally deigns to stop teasing Farmer and gives them a kiss on the cheek in thanks for saving her and giving her first aid. It's bad enough to think about, but Daia is ready to throw herself into a dangerous battle with the monster again if it means her object of affection will help her again.

Corine:

"Oh, wow... This is embarrassing." Yep, so unfortunate to trip over a booth in Pika's restaurants, spill all the drinks, scratch her arm and left cheek, all right before her crush, who was watching everything. The waitress felt someone's strong hands take her and help her sit down on the nearest bench, then gently treat her hand with disinfectant. It was the Farmer, whose clothes now bore a huge stain from Corine's spilled drink. The girl felt even more guilty, but Farmer assured her that it was okay, that the most important thing now was Corine's wound. They're so caring, and they're so close to Corine that it's hard to hide the blush. Just then Paula came up on a call, but seeing Corine look at her with a "not now, everything is okay" look that the doctor just smiled and stayed out of the way. Things had worked out much nicer than Corine could have expected.

what are your opinions on Rav 👀 (i’m so normal about him)

Trust me when I say this, I love Rav.

It was a bit of a phase with him but for a while I was going crazy about him. He was my favorite SPG lore character. He’s just so cool!

I love his song how it reveals that even though he’s a hero he’s not exactly careful about it so to speak. Seeking up amnesty. You must be real popular Rav aren’t you? /s /silly

Bunny’s description of him only further pushes his “rapscallion-esque” attitude. Not the best way for me to describe him but you see what I mean right?

He’s been working alongside Commander Cosmo for years, helping him discover his powers as an immortal space god. Commander Cosmo’s actually the REASON why his ship is so high-tech, so you know they’re close. Especially bc you know, Rav was the only one up to the task of blowing up the star he was trapped in.

Bunny phrased something in a way that made it seem like they could’ve been a thing, but Commander Cosmo is too cold and unreceptive and also too infatuated with Cosmica for Rav.

Regardless Rav does get around with other guys. Particularly moon princes. Could be poly too. Bunny mentioned that it would make sense, but it was one of her more “If you want to headcanon it, I won’t confirm nor deny” answers. She did that a lot. Major example saying “it’s possible” for Peter Walter VI to be autistic and also headcanoning her own characters.

She also said we can be expecting more of Rav and his crew in the future which is real nice!

Thank you!!! 💜💜💜 I think that original post has just been lost to tumblr…. in ravio’s journal it says he has enough magic to get to hyrule but not enough to get back. The idea was that he had Just Barely Enough to make it there, and the portal left a mark on his skin when he separated from it. As for why the cracks look different from the in-game portals….. I have no explanation for this… I just think it looks good. I drew him like that years ago and it just stuck around as a permanent part of his design 👌

I'm kind of confused on your take on IDW Megatron and Ravage. Do you think Ravage hates Megatron or loves him? You've said both, so how does that work?

both! ravage loves and hates him. well, not even "hates" him; there's a lot of built-up resentment on ravage's end over megatron abandoning him and the decepticon cause, but i wouldn't say ravage hates him, per say. that resentment is not going to easily pass even though megatron, at least from their dynamic in mtmte, is clearly someone ravage idolizes and loves. and ravage himself uses the word love during their scene together in slaughterhouse:

now ravage does say "we loved" here in reference to the decepticons loving megatron, but, like... do they? do they actually love him? tarn does, sure. no debating that one. and there was a large group of cons that did storm the trial in order to get megatron out, but i'm not sure if i'd actually call that love and more just... them needing the structure that megatron gives the decepticon cause and following the order to storm the trial. soundwave certainly loved megatron as well, but as a whole? ... eh. which is why i think ravage here isn't actually saying "we"- he's saying "i".

and we see this here just moments before! ravage starts off by saying "us" in reference to the decepticons as a whole, but immediately routes to saying "me"- this is something he has personalized! megatron abandoning the decepticons and joining the autobots feels like a direct offense to ravage! and you don't get this kind of reaction from someone if there aren't strong emotions involved, whether that be love or hate.

so yeah. rav loves megatron, or at least a version of megatron he has in his head and he's scrambling now that he sees that version doesn't exist anymore- or potentially never did. and that scrambling translates into immense anger and violence, because it feels like a personal betrayal.

I’m one of the jaded people who go “If Hashem aides us and is an “interfering gd,” why didn’t he prevent 10/07? Why don’t he prevent the Shoah? 9/11? The actual ongoing genocide in Sudan? The actual ethnic cleansing of the Rohyngia? Are there limits His power that we don’t know about? Why can’t we know about them?”

I don’t think I’m an atheist, but as mentioned, I struggle with the idea that Hashem is an actual being to speak to. So I’m trying to figure out how I see Hashem, and I’m always genuinely curious at those who see Him as a being?. How do you reconcile it with all of the current and past horrid things going on in the world?

There’s a lot to unpack here. First and foremost, I am not a Rav. Even if I were, this is not a question a Rav would ever answer. Ultimately the question of why do bad things happen to good people? has a different answer for everyone because it really does come down to your personal relationship with G*d and only you know what that relationship is. So this is a big ask for some random Jew on tumblr but I’ll do my best to give you a somewhat coherent response.

I am overtired and delirious so excuse the rambling that’s about to happen…

For me, I don’t like the word interfering when referring to Hashem. Everything going on - everyone and all of their actions - is a result of Hashem’s work. You cannot interfere with your own creation. Interference connotes a disruption but Hashem isn’t disrupting anything. If something is happening, it is his plan that it do so. However, while I do believe that Hashem is in charge, humans also have free will. Hashem can guide and direct but ultimately he is not in complete control because even humans made in his image are susceptible to error. Hashem can and has given us the tools to create the world how he wants it but ultimately it is up to us in how we use them. Hashem has given us the tools to take care of ourselves and one another and maybe we have abused those tools or disregarded them and him completely. Is this why bad things happen? Is Hashem allowing tragedy because our own human error is ruining his original plan? I think so. This is my true belief. But ultimately I don’t know. No one does.

Where was he during the Shoah and where was he on October 7th? I don’t have an answer for you. I’m angry at him. I’m still trying to make sense of it. I know we did not deserve what happened and I still struggle to see how any of this mess fits into his plan. But I trust that it somehow does. And for what I cannot explain and understand, my faith in Hashem guides me. I could not control any of the horrible things that happened but I can use the tools Hashem has gifted me with to repair my world going forward - my work as a doctor, the volunteering I do, prayer and tzedekah - all of these things were created by Hashem and I have the capacity to use these things to be a better Jew and to help my fellow Jews. This self-love and this unity is what will bring about redemption. Because for as much as Hashem loves us and would like to see all of us succeeding and happy, Moshiach has not come and until he does, there is going to be pain and suffering and failure. That is the reality of the pre-Moshiach word. This is why we all should pray for Moshiach and do things that will bring redemption (things we have the capacity to do because of Hashem’s love for us and alls he has gifted us with!!!) because only he can eliminate pain and suffering.

One, two, three, four... *Thump* Oh, Flor lasted four seconds without passing out after seeing Farmer's transformation. Not a bad result.

It's not that Farmer was so heartless and deliberately bullied her, it's just... that the reaction was expected.

What's interesting - when Flor calms down and gets used to her partner again, the psychologist will be more often interested in how they are.

It's just... She realises that carrying this burden, living in constant fear of being exposed, judged, even possibly enduring past fights and avoiding those who think Farmer is a monster and wish harm for their mere existence - it will definitely leave a mark on Farmer's mental health.

Werewolf or not, it's her Farmer, friend and lover, who she won't abandon and will always listen to them if they want to talk it out.

Daia:

"Aww, I was hoping you'd turn out to be a vampire. That would be a real romantic story..." Wait, what? "But I'm not complaining, I still love you, my little puppy~" Daia, what the fu-

This woman fights monsters almost every day and does missions to kill Gabriella's minions. Do you think she would be shocked by a werewolf?

Yeah, it's unexpected that her lover is what is usually considered a monster, but she knows Farmer well enough to be afraid or worried.

Daia became very curious to hear their story, but if they wanted to share it.

There will be no dispatch or horror on her face. There would be more flirtation, though, related to the Farmer's secret. "You're so big and strong in wolf form, dear~ How about sparring.... in the bedro-" DAIA PLEASE!

So yeah, no particular problems with this.

Ysabelle:

Ysabelle covered her mouth with the hand so as not to frighten the hotel guests or attract unnecessary attention. Otherwise, her partner would be burned alive by everyone.

Actually, Farmer didn't choose the best place to reveal the truth about her lycanthropy. But what we have is what we have.

The girl quickly shouts to her grandfather that she's not feeling well and can't work, then closes the door behind her so she and Farmer won't be disturbed.

"Werewolf, huh..." How? How is that even possible? "Well, somehow possible since I'm standing in front of you, love." It was strange to hear Farmer's more bassy voice.

Isabelle went through the standard questions about their transformation into a werewolf and began to think about what to do next. No, she loves Farmer and won't leave them. It's just, what should she do,

Alissa:

Farmer definitely should not have revealed the truth to Alissa near any objects made of glass. Because the girl reached such a high note in her heartbreaking scream that all the glass immediately cracked.

The two of them are going to have a very long conversation alone. And a lot of sedative for Alissa.

Of course, she understands the Farmer's situation perfectly well, how difficult it was for them themselves to carry this secret and that, in fact, revealing to her that they are a werewolf was impossible to mitigate in any way.

But she also wants to make sure that even in wolf form, Farmer is still the same Farmer.

It will take Alissa a little time to adjust, but as long as their love is strong, these two will endure any hardship together.

Paula:

Paula reached for her army knife, which she usually carried by habit, and got into a defensive posture, trying to remain calm. Before her eyes, the Farmer disappeared and in their place appeared a wolf-like... creature.

How else should she react but to defend herself? "Darling, put the knife down, please." Sorry Farmer, but you'll have to do better to get your girlfriend to fulfill your request.

It took a bit of time, but still the army doctor was willing to listen to Farmer ("but no sudden movements, ok?").

Farmer must admit - despite the tense moment, Paula was able to quickly accept the news. She hadn't realised some of her lover's oddities before, like their refusal to meet her on a full moon or the fact that they smell like wet dog, but now...

Irene:

Screaming and broken Amethyne family crockery - why in the world Farmer should have turned into a werewolf in the kitchen of the mansion!

If Irene hadn't been scared to death - she would have scolded her lover for such a thing.

The poor cook has had a bad day the morning after that night - realising the existence of werewolves, making excuses to Madame Maive for the broken rock crystal plates, insomnia, and Sonny worrying about the girl's condition. Farmer feels very guilty about it. And rightly so - quite a d#ck move!

Irene has been pretty tired the last few days, so she's asked her partner the most important questions about their transformation and accepted that fact.

There would be more questions later. But that's later, so yeah...

Maddie:

If Farmer tried to say anything to Maddie, it was useless, because the ginger girl ran away with such speed that you could set a record in Ferngill Republic. Even in werewolf form, Farmer could envy the speed of their lover.

Jokes aside, but it took a lot of effort for Farmer to calm their girlfriend down (in human form. As a werewolf it wasn't very effective).

Maddie understands more than anyone that it's hard to open up to people when you've had bad experiences in the past that have caused trust issues. Though different situations, but still.

With the fear receding will come scientific curiosity: how transformation happens, what changes inside their body, etc.

It will be fine. Just... don’t scare her like that again. Or she may hit them. Which will hurt a lot, even in wolf form.

Blair:

"Dios mio!" Blair was already thinking about jumping into the river to save her life from the... monster? Wait, a second ago her partner had been standing- "!!!"

It took the young fisherwoman a moment to realise what had just happened and process the information. Good thing Farmer is very patient.

"Is- is that you? Is that still you?" She cautiously approached her partner and touched their furry palm, which showed sharp claws. "Wow..." Blair was as startled as she was delighted and surprised.

Who would have thought her date would turn out to be a creature from fairy tales. That's actually so awesome!

Tho, there will definitely come a point when the two of them will have to tell the truth to Blair's mother too... But that's in the future.

Faye:

"Faye, my dear, I've been meaning to tell you for a long time... Well, anyway, I'd better show you." *Farmer transforms into a werewolf*

Faye.exe stopped working...

At least she didn't faint and scream all over Ridge Forest for help, so that's a plus probab-

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Oh, she did scream. *Sigh...* And it seemed to Farmer that revealing the truth to their girlfriend had gone smoothly....

The waitress would be shocked by the news for a long time, but would quickly come round. After all, she loves Farmer, and being a werewolf doesn't change anything.

The only thing is that the waitress will still refuse to serve them raw meat. Because they have to eat properly, even as a wolf-like creature! No, no undercooked food!

Corine:

Of course it was shocking news to Corine, but after that incident with Gabriella's minion and meeting Jio for the first time, she wasn't as surprised as the Farmer thought she was.

Well, Farmer didn't hear their partner yelling and the words "Monster!" or "Stay away from me!" directed at them, so that's a good start.

Corine wants to know everything, if possible. So that she knows about all the details and can protect both the Farmer themself, herself, her dad and her friends.

After making sure her lover doesn't go into a blind rage in wolf form, she'll just accept it all and go out with them as before.

Unusual, weird - so what? Farmer is still her dear and beloved Farmer.

Kiarra:

Out of fear, Kiarra threw the first thing she could find at the Farmer. And it was her graphics tablet. Which went straight into poor Farmer's head.

"Why?" That voice definitely belonged to her lover, but the look.... Kiarra was utterly confused.

Half the day the Farmer had to prove that it was really them, that they weren't about to chew their girlfriend's throat out in wolf form right now, that they weren't running to Ridgeside Village to scare the villagers.

It takes her a while to get used to the realisation that her partner is a werewolf.

Strange... But the graphic designer doesn't feel a bit of fear at their wolfish appearance, but even some calmness. And a sense of security. Kinda weird, but she loves them and trusts them.

For the wip asks, are SOMETHING Darker/Spiritual/Familiar and Wild related? Or just a funny coincidence in the name?

They are absolutely related! All of those are part of my series Hues of Magic, that started out with a single fic called 'Something Greater' to allude to the moment in LU when Time says that about his wedding ring. When I decided to make it a series, I liked the naming convention enough to keep it! So each Link gets their own 'Something X' fic (or perhaps more than one...?).

A few are already done and posted, but here's what the WIP names mean:

Oh, and the one titled 'Hues of Magic' will be the final fic of the series!
