One complaint for revivals that never make sense to me..

Girl Meets World, Raven’s Home, Fuller House, That ‘90s Show, etc.. 

People seem to forget that these types of revival’s are not just a continuation, it’s a brand new show as well.

The thing I don’t get is when the constant complaint of: “These brand new child/teen actors better have the same exact talent as the actors that spent years developing their characters, otherwise it’s horrible and cringy.” 

Sitcoms need a few episodes to find their footing usually, whether it’s a new show or a revival/continuation.

Hi there! Do you have a favorite character from Disney Channel? Do you believe everyone should know that they're the Best Character from any Disney Channel show? You've come to the right place!

This is not my original idea, this blog is inspired by others such as @redandbluebracket, @2023himbotournament, @the-malewife-ever

General Rules

This tournament is for characters from live action Disney Channel and Disney XD only. So that means no characters from cartoons, sorry.

Your nominated character does not have to be from a sitcom. Characters from non-sitcoms such as Mech X4 are welcome!

You may submit multiple characters. However, please do not submit the same character multiple times.

Disney Channel’s First Gay Marriage Proposal

Disney Channel viewers may be pleasantly surprised to see a gay marriage proposal on Friday’s episode of “Bunk’d.”

In the March 3rd episode, “No Pain, No Grain,” “Winnie helps her brother Wayne propose to his boyfriend (Nicholas) during their visit to the camp.”

Wayne and Nicholas are played by Jacob Haren and Frankie Rodriguez.  Frankie also plays openly gay Carlos on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series on Disney+.  And Jacob is a Broadway actor of “The Book of Mormon” and other productions.

Bunk’d is a long-running Disney Channel series, a spin-off of “Jessie,” and it has been renewed for a historic seventh season.

Friday night is Disney Channel’s most progressive night for LGBTQ+ firsts.  First, we had gay characters Cyrus Goodman and TJ Kippen on “Andi Mack.”  Then a trans character, Nikki, was introduced on “Raven’s Home,” and an out gay character, Alex, was seen on “Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion.”  The last two TV episodes aired on the same night, July 8, 2022.

Then I watched the later seasons of Raven's Home where Victor had a heart attack

That's So Raven wasn't quite my thing at the time it was running (a little outside the target age plus preference for movies over TV) but seeing the Raven's Home gifs circulating, you're telling me this ISN'T?!?!?! Raven and Chelsea marrying each other and raising their kids together after both realizing they're not into men?!?! Preposterous. refuse to accept that as Not the plot of this show

Disney Channel Coincidence

I just realized that Disney Channel’s current live action slate basically represents it’s history since the 2000′s

Secrets of Sulphur Springs - supernatural/paranormal show - So Weird (1999-2000)

Saturdays - a single camera comedy - Early 2000′s: Lizzie McGuire/Even Stevens

Raven’s Home - sequel to That’s So Raven - beginning of multi-cam shows -  (2003-)

Bunk’d - Seuqel to Jessie - post Suite Life era (2011-)

Villains of Valley View - Basically a mashup of shows that overlapped in both eras - Wizards of Waverly Place (Alliterative Title/show about family keeping a secret), Good Luck Charlie (Patricia Belcher playing basically the exact same recurring role),

I just find this incredibly fitting since they’re celebrating their 40th anniversary this year
