🪽Cho Chang🪽

There have been a lot of Gryffindors the past months… and I love all those characters, but I am getting sick of the red uniforms. I LOVED getting to draw Cho in her Ravenclaw colours. She is gorgeous, smart, athletic, popular, has loads of friends and a big heart 💙 She has faith in her friends, forgives them for making mistakes, because after all, we’re just human.

And I think she and Cedric made a cute couple. Let’s all be honest, Harry didn’t actually like her, he just thought she was pretty. And that’s not enough to start a relationship.

PS: can we all agree that Quidditch uniform looks so good on Cho? Damn!

PPS: Also, new art might be taking a bit more time now. I have a full time job working creatively, so most days I’ve run out on all my creative energy. But I love working on these and will definitely finish the whole series. I want to draw all major Harry Potter characters in the wizarding world! 💫

Thanks for asking this....

1. Genuinely you sending me asks, tagging me in stuff makes me feel seen in the best way possible, so yeah, thank you so much.

2. Anytime Taylor puts up anything on the internet at large. It just gives me hope in this otherwise barely hopeful world. And considering she's gone quite hush hush, understandably so, rn, it genuinely is a silver lining.

3. Spending really quality time with people that i love, be it friends, cousins, family etc. It could be lowkey weird shite or just the most baller time, I enjoy it thoroughly n cherish all the people that make me feel that way.

4. Discovering new stuff. About history, science, movies, TV shows, books, idk everything ig. I just like when my brain cell(s) are stimulated with new info. Like yes, guys, get it! Also includes watching online content that's like super duper thought provoking yet fun n cool (stop me before i get all childish wonder on u)

5. Seeing people be happy because of something I did. It just pleases me a lot. Also, including animals here too, since I love when a cat purrs against my palm a bit more enthusiastically or a dog wags it's tail a little more excitedly... It just is the best feeling in the world.

Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience part 1. It was pricey but totally worth it in my opinion. I loved the lights and music most ❤️ The Ravenclaw hot chocolate was yummy (each house had a flavor and house-colored sprinkles, Gryffindor was pumpkin, Slytherin was cinnamon, Hufflepuff was hazelnut, and Ravenclaw was vanilla). 🎵🎶 Professor Flitwick 🎶🎵

This was a fun illustration! I liked getting to put my own spin on this teacher. The only description in the books was: he’s a tiny wizard. So, I thought about the role he plays in the books. He’s a kind, good teacher who cares about his job and his students. I imagine he chaperones all kinds of student clubs, because he wants students to explore their interests, like a true Ravenclaw :) He conducts the choir and spruces up the castle during holidays. I bet he plays games in the classroom and does thematic spells for holidays, like hollowing pumpkins for Halloween.

For his design I took some inspiration from old English universities and their professors’ attire. With the long robes and tweed suits. I put my own spin on it and made it more formal and magical, with colour and prints. I subconsciously made him a little bit queer-looking, but I really really like that vibe for him. I hope you like it too! I wouldn’t be opposed to a gay professor Flitwick :)

8. Why is your MC in whichever Hogwarts house they’re in?

I was sorted into the Ravenclaw House years ago and the House hasn't changed years after years after years of occasionally retaking the test. xD Julia +-began as a WW account drop; back then, I didn't really consider her being a named character nor I knew I would indulge so much and invest a lot into her growth. Everything of her came later, but the House stayed because #RavenclawPride and #MYTOWAR aand I can't deny the fact she used to be a self-insertee.

12. What is your MC’s best memory at school? Their worst?

does meeting Aesop qualify as both Jokes aside, nothing could be worse for her than these two particular run-ins, one being her uncle and the second was an auror-legilimence interrogated her after Rookwood was set to trial.

Her testimony was very important but it needed to be a proof beyond reasonable clearness (why: it wasn't a local case, international parties were involved and demanded to see everything for themselves; if you sensed parties were also trying to assert something through that trial using every mean necessary, you weren't wrong). Her memory of the events, along with recollections and memories of the locals and the staff, was basically it. She had to seldom relive everything, keeping the memories as fresh as possible, until the day of the final verdict.

Needless it is to say she felt living through a never-ending nightmare and became very much aware the horrors were one flick of the wand away from being wiped and forgotten, forever. Which she eventually did, although not without consequences (doesn't remember details, but recalls the dread and agitation ; bad sleep days ; etc).

Anything new and bright after that quickly became The Happiest Of Memories and remained so until she dropped the F-bomb at the end of her 6th year after meeting the uncle. It should had been a wholesome reunion but no, I'm sorry, she wasn't done sliding down the steep side yet atm. 💀

Day 11 of Inktober 2022: Eagle This is as straightforward as I can get. The Ravenclaw Eagle is my take on this prompt. Those who have known me the longest know that no matter what, my Hogwarts House is always Ravenclaw. Often understood to be the house with the most brainpower given its reputation, it was later expanded to include those who are fixated and always curious to learn. It is the house where those who thirst for knowledge find themselves at home in. "Wit Beyond Measure is Man's Greatest Treasure" is Rowena Ravenclaw's Maxim for her house. It is very apropos for those who wish to learn new things about fields of study they find themselves immersed in, myself included. You would find me not only reading tomes of medical books and law books, but also books on medieval and world history, earth science, astronomy, architecture, and even food science.
