hello. are there perhaps folks who follow me and/or folks who have been following re-slayers take and would like to share their thoughts/recommendations around it? fascinated to know what people are liking about it, elements they're enjoying, character archetypes, storytelling style, narrative structure/genre so far, etc.

This Fall promises a jam-packed schedule for @criticalrole and Beacon, featuring a new show from @midstpodcast , the long-awaited return of former Rooster Teeth liveplay Tales From The Stinky Dragon, and a very special #Daggerheart Critmas Special.

I accidentally forgot to cancel my Beacon free trial (whoops!) so I decided to check out Re-Slayer's Take and it's so good! Obviously a bit different tone than the main cr campaigns, but I kind of enjoy that every so often. I love all the characters, especially Idran who was tailor made for me specifically lol

Re-Slayers Take episode 10 brought me joy.

I do want to plug The Re-Slayer's take again if you're not listening: it's short and goes very fast (it's edited to have no real table-talk, so it plays like a scripted podcast even though it's actual play) and despite being all ages...think AT:LA or Doctor Who and how fucked up things can get. Also the core cast is great (I was already a fan of Jasmine Bhullar and William Jasper Cartwright but Jasmine Chiong has won me over as Farah, a cranky older blood hunter woman), they've had some great guests (those listening on the main feed - Christian Navarro is about to show up!), and some of the main cast of CR has shown up as very fun NPCs!

Meet the Re-Slayers take! Meet all the characters, see more of the art, and check out the podcast!

All-ages (aka no swears no gore) actual play in a sort of radio drama style (sound effects! music!) with a stellar cast and a group that you will just LOVE ^_^

First ep up for everyone to hear wherever you get podcasts, 3 eps up on beacon! First feels like a pilot ep with intros and stuff, but two really sucked me in and 3 had me SCREAMING for more XD

If you haven't listened to The Re-Slayers Take, give it a shot! The 1st season is now available. It took me a little to adjust to the format and I'm glad I stuck with it.

The characters are fantastic. If you have listened or watched C1/C2, there's some throwbacks and nods but you don't need to have a deep knowledge of Exandrian lore to enjoy it.

I'm looking forward to where the story goes in season 2.
