What'd you think about chasing the feeling (as in the sing itself)
UGH I LOVE IT. i think it's so interesting how txt is able to just tap into every genre ever and execute it so well?? like each of their title tracks has something so new and unique to offer, and they're such diverse artist with unique voices and looove their music sm idk 😭😭
i started yapping so bad i had to put a read more 😭
another thing i always love to pick at and dissect is the way they change their tones and vocal techniques when they sing different genres?? like yes, i know it's something you're supposed to do if you want to execute a song right but like. some artists just dont... do it as much. but it's even more satisfying bc they've said it themselves that they do it purposefully!! like when they talked abt tinnitus or.. i think it was sugar rush? they mentioned that they like to experiment with different ways and styles when singing their lines, and they even take inspiration off each other when they're in the studio recording!!
BUT OK I HAVE A POINT TO THIS. THE POINT IS that their different voices just shine SO WELL in this title track. like you can seriously pick the little techniques that they like to do so clearly, their singing styles, the difference between gyu's airy and delicate voice in contrast to yeonjun's forward voice 🤤 OMG I LOVE when yeonjun sings like that, his enunciation is so interesting, especially because he has a lot of lines where he sings with a bit legato and then he suddenly adds accents to words !!! just wheewwww 😖(its been way too long since ive done anything music related so if im not making sense just. please go easy on me.)
the song as a whole is also just perfect !! one thing i will forever be obsessed with is the use of synths ! it makes the instrumental so pretty and compliments the whole new wave vibe they're going for, i seriously didn't expect them to go in this direction for this comeback, and i think that's what makes it so much more satisfying ‼️ the buildup in the prechorus is SOO GOOD. the instrumental rlly aids to it with the little like... buildup... fuck i forgot what it's called exactly but then when there's that little snare(?) and it leads to the most GODLY LAYERED HARMONY. i am so obsessed with layered harmonies, seriously. (red velvet is my sanctuary)
and ofc.... taehyun's high note.... his voice is just so mesmerizing im forever gonna be obsessed with it. it sounds so clear and is just pleasing to the ears, seriously. and the little "ooh" that he does after ??? MAN. I LOVE HIM IDK. IDK I LOVED THE SONG I NEED TO SHUT UP IM SORRYALDKGHS this was just supposed to be a few words idk how i got this far 😞

Key's BFF's Top Kpop Songs of 2019
Ugh. This was hard. My method for choosing songs on this list was: which videos did I find myself watching the most? While these songs may not be the peak of the best of Kpop for the year, they are my favorites. Some of them I may be a little embarrassed about. But I tried to be honest in compiling this list. So. Here it is. In no particular order, because that would be impossible. (I also could not actually pick just 10.) 1. "Dalla Dalla" by Itzy
Bad ass and sexy. I love this type of girl group so much more than the cutesy groups. These girls are rock stars. It's on my bucket list to learn this choreography. I can do the first two moves...
2. "Alligator" by Monsta X Monsta X is the only boy band in all of Kpop that every member can wear leather pants and look hot as hell. (Except maybe Big Bang...) This is Evidence A. And all the evidence that is needed.
3. "Boy with Luv" by BTS This video makes me so happy. It just looks like BTS is just enjoying themselves. I worry a lot about this group and burnout, so to see them having fun here makes my heart so so happy. Also. The visual aesthetics in this video. Stellar.
4. "Ah Yeah" by Winner One of my summer jams. This song came just in time for me to listen to it obsessively all summer. I also really love Mino's hat at the beginning. This is also the video that convinced me Seungyoon is underutilized. Also. They have a moment where they are all wearing leopard print. I've been going through a leopard print phase.
5. "Mola" by Winner For me this was the song of the summer. (I was also listening to "Mama" by JHope during this time.) Either way. This song is amazing, and furthers my argument that Winner is underrated.
6. "Humph!" Pentagon This year I discovered my deep love of Pentagon. These guys are on their way up. I feel like they are getting ready to hit it big. This song great and the video is clever and fun.
7. "Jopping" by SuperM This was everything I wanted it to be. I was so worried it was going to be terrible. But it was perfect. I loved all of it. I went to the concert and screamed like a 13 year old all night. Taemin, Kai, Baekhyun, and I all breathed the same air. This also made me a bigger fan of Mark and Taeyong.
8. "Super Clap" by Super Junior While there is nothing wrong with the music video. This dance practice is amazing. This song is a bop. You can't help but dance along. Worthy of nothing here: Yesung's shorts.
9. "You Calling My Name" by Got7 This is my favorite Got7 comeback in so long! I love the leather suits. I love the song. I love the choreography. Well done boys.
10. "Psycho" by Red Velvet I wish this had come out earlier in the year. This song is fantastic. The music video is brilliant. It's been on repeat since it came out. Ugh. I love this so much.
  11. "Ahora te Puedes Marchar" by Super Junior I'm ashamed this is on my list. But I have to be honest. I have seen this music video a million times and I have laughed at it like two million times. Super Junior proves once again why they are all over 30 years old and still relevant. This is so clever and fun. My mom even loves this video.
12. "Hala Hala" by Ateez I LOVE THIS VIDEO CONCEPT. I've shown this to non Kpop people and they think it's cool. I have big hopes for this group.
Honorable Mention
"I'm Ok" by ikon It was our last ikon comeback and we didn't know it. It wasn't treasured enough.
“I Wanna Be” by Key
My bestie. Giving us this right before his enlistment was a gift. I've worried a lot over the SHINee members. I'm so happy Key gave us this. And he seems to be living his best life in the military.
Here's to 2020!
Hopefully a year with healthier and happier idols.

can we get a scenario with kaito asking maki to a high school dance, and maybe a little description of what they’d do at said dance?
Tumblr media
This one has literally been in our askbox for months... I'm terribly sorry this took so long to complete, anon! My perfectionism really got to me on this one because it really struck a chord in me, and I was trying a bit too hard to make it flawless. I've got it under control now... I think. Anyhow, please enjoy the fic under the cut! I had an absolute blast writing this, and I hope you enjoy some shameless Kaimaki fluff.
~Mod Shuichi~
Momota Kaito was a man with much bravado, able to bear the rigorous regimen of the astronaut training program and face the myriad dangers of outer space without batting an eye. Yet, as he prowled the corridors of Hope's Peak High School with his best friend-slash-roommate Shuichi in tow, the spaceman couldn't help but fear the task he was now about to face. The Homecoming Dance was looming a mere week ahead, and Kaito had decided to take the opportunity to try and take his longtime crush, Harukawa Maki, as his date.
That, however, was something much easier said than done. The obsidian-haired girl had the nickname of 'ice queen', which had not come without reason - she was known to ward off anyone foolish enough to dare approach her with a silent glare which, according to Kibo, was capable of cutting holes in metal.
Shuichi sighed. "Please tell me what you see in her, again?"
"I don't know! There's... this something about her that makes me want to know her better."
"If you insist. Just come back in one piece." With that, the detective left Kaito and his girl troubles to hang with his other friends. Kaito wasn't entirely sure that he could return without injury, however, as he slowly appraoched Maki's seat. Hoping his voice wasn't quivering too much, he extended a trembling finger and tapped her shoulder.
"Hey, Harukawa?"
Any semblance of control Kaito had left evaporated like a snowflake on the Sun as Maki finally turned to face him and fixed him in her crimson stare. When she spoke, he could instantly understand what Kibo meant.
"What do you want?"
So this was what it felt like to have his blood freeze in his veins, Kaito thought. Despite his best efforts to control his own speech, his paralyzed tongue could only stutter out,
"Uh, doyouwanttogotothedancewithme?"
The following five seconds were simultaneously the longest, most awkward, and most terrifying moments in Kaito's life. 'That's it,' he concluded. 'I'm gonna show up on tomorrow's news as a dismembered corpse.' Frozen in fear, he missed the look of surprise flashing across the obsidian-haired girl's face - but not her reply.
"Yes. I'll go with you."
"Uhwhat?"
Maki's face immediately morphed into a scowl as she turned away, but it was impossible to miss the shade of vibrant red now gracing her features. For a moment, Kaito thought it matched her eyes very well.
"Do I have to repeat myself? I said I'll go with you, loser!"
Internally ecstatic at her words but also not wanting to incur Maki's wrath by overstaying his welcome, Kaito left her a muttered 'thanks' as he hurriedly shuffled over to Shuichi.
"She say yes?", the detective asked.
Kaito could only let out a deep, relieved sigh. "In a sense."
The remaining week vanished in a flurry of hurried preparations, and soon the big day was upon them. The dormitory hallways were bustling and abuzz with activity as a myriad of Ultimates clad in their finest suits and dresses searched for their dates. Kaito and Shuichi also joined the crowd as they too made their way to the girls' dorms.
"Ugh, I'm never gonna get used to having my arm inside my sleeve," the spaceman muttered. He had dressed in a deep purple tuxedo with a smattering of glittering 'stars' on the lower hem for the occasion, but the formality of the event meant that he couldn't just throw it over his shoulder like he usually did with his jacket.
"Can't relate," his friend replied. He was also wearing a tux, but a more low-profile charcoal gray one with barely visible graphite pinstripes. "Most normal people wear their jackets properly, Kaito."
Kaito waved him off. "Pssh, who cares. Normal is overrated anyway."
Their discussion about sleeves and arms were abruptly interrupted when Akamatsu Kaede all but teleported in front of them, her pink strapless recital dress fluttering behind her and a lilac purple ribbon decorating her bosom.
"Found you, Shuichi! And hi to you too, Kaito. Mind if I steal him away for the night?"
An astounded Kaito turned to his sidekick. "Man, someone got lucky! How the hell did you end up going with her? Never thought you'd be her type..."
"To be honest, I have no idea," the detective replied with a shrug. "She asked me, actually."
Pouting, Kaede put her hands on her hips. "Hey hey, Kaito! No badmouthing my date here! Oh, by the way, who are you going with?"
"Harukawa Maki. I was just going over to pick her up."
"Oh, that's good to hear! She always seemed so lonely. Hope things work out great between you two!", the pianist chirped as she took Shuichi's hand and led him away. Left alone once again, Kaito resumed his search for Maki's room.
Finally facing the door, Kaito steeled his nerves one last time. Taking a girl to a dance wasn't supposed to be hard, even if she was his longtime crush who could, in fact, literally crush him to powder should anything go wrong.
"C'mon, Kaito. You're the Luminary of the Stars... you can do anything you put your mind to... the impossible is possible, you just gotta make it so!"
Reciting his mantra to himself, Kaito finally knocked on her door. He honestly had no idea what he expected to see, but the sight he faced when the door finally opened utterly blew him away. Maki had chosen a scarlet gothic lolita-style dress with generous amounts of black lace frills and a slim halter top that was only held up by a pair of impossibly thin spaghetti straps that crossed over her back before disappearing into her corset. It matched her onyx hair and crimson eyes perfectly, and she looked stunning beyond compare. Even her usual hair scrunchies seemed different... shinier, somehow. Kaito guessed they were some sort of satin.
"Stop staring, idiot!"
"O, oh! Of course, I'm sorry." Snapping out of his Maki-induced stupor, he offered her his arm.
"Shall we go?"
Maki wordlessly nodded and took his arm, and the duo made their way towards the gym where the dance was being held.
Homecoming was a very extravagant affair. Most of the artistically inclined Ultimates had been conscripted to decorate the gym into a party hall, and they had delivered splendidly. The ceiling was nearly invisible from all the banners and streamers that had been hung up, and the floor had been transformed into a polished dance floor with rich velvet carpets around the edges where the tables were. A veritable buffet of snacks, drinks, and refreshments were set out on one side, and a state-of-the-art sound system and a grand piano had been installed on the stage to complete the lavish atmosphere.
Many students had already taken to the dance floor, swaying to the music with their dates as light jazz played over the gym. As Kaito glanced at his date, unsure to ask if she wanted to dance or not, Maki suddenly whirled on him with a fiercely determined look on her face and all but dragged him off to the center of the venue.
"Wha- wh- Maki?!"
"Shut up and dance with me."
Kaito did not object. He allowed Maki to lead him in a foxtrot, the girl surprisingly well-versed in dancing to the point that Kaito had to put in a bit of effort to keep up at first. He caught on soon, however, and found himself gazing into his date’s crimson eyes as they settled into a steady rhythm. They were quite mesmerizing, Kaito thought, like swirling nebulae glowing with starlight…
He was jolted back to his senses by a finger that poked dangerously close to his left eye. "WAH!"
"Earth to space idiot," Maki chided. "You almost stepped on my foot there."
Kaito, as always, was not without a comeback. "It's not my fault you're so breathtakingly beautiful."
"Do you want to die?"
"Sorry, sorry!"
Maki's lips thinned into a line and her brow grew a slight crease as she stared into his tie, her feet slowing for a moment as she sunk into thought. "Do you really think I'm beautiful?", she mumbled.
"Of course! Even more than the brightest star!"
She blushed a beautiful shade of apple red and not-so-subtly brought her heel down on his toes.
"Ow!"
"That's for making me lose my composure."
"You really do look hot when you blush- ow!"
The pair continued to dance to the music, Maki's face now significantly redder than before. Kaito couldn't help but smile - he had his perfect date, the dance was going splendidly, and everything was just so perfectly well!
The tone of the event would soon undergo a complete shift, however. Ibuki-senpai soon took over the stage with her trademark 'music' of unintelligible screaming and yelling, and the once-calm party was now more closely resembling a rave than a dance. Kaito couldn't bring himself to understand how anyone could actually appreciate the cacophony issuing from the stage, but judging by the crowd's reaction it seemed he was the exception, not the norm.
"Wanna get outta here?", he asked his date, who thankfully seemed to share his opinion on the Ultimate Musician's 'music'. Although Maki was standing right next to him, he had to shout at the top of his lungs to be heard over the senseless din echoing in the gym.
"Please!", she yelled back.
Covering their ears, the pair headed out to the school's garden where the full moon was casting its light. Glad to be away from the chaos, they found a bench and sat in a comfortable silence for a while. When he was sure the ringing in his ears had finally subsided, Kaito asked Maki the one question he had been itching to know for the entirety of the past week.
"Why did you say yes when I asked? To the dance, I mean."
Maki averted her eyes from the astronaut, but her blush was impossible to miss. "I... I might've had a bit of a crush on you."
"Wow, I never knew that. I knew I had a crush on you, but this is... why?"
"You showed Yumeno your notes when she got sick and missed school last week. You became Saihara's friend when he was alone. You actually listen to what Tojo has to say. And you're kind and friendly to anyone and everyone you meet."
"I'm afraid I still don't see the connection."
Maki let out a small sigh. "I'm not very good with people. I want to get closer to them and make friends, but I just lash out and scare them away. But you always showed so much kindness to everyone. So I thought maybe, you were the one I could try and get close to."
"I'm honored - wait, how did you know all that?"
"I'm observant."
"Anyway, that's no big problem, Maki Roll. I wasn't really good at being social from the get-go, too." In an incredibly bold move even to himself, Kaito put an arm around Maki's shoulder. Even more surprisingly, she actually leaned into it. "I know you're a good person. I'll make sure help you every step of the way, and you'll be making lots of friends soon. I swear by the name of the Luminary of the Stars!"
"Did you just call me Maki Roll?"
Panicking, Kaito instantly froze. The nickname was something he came up with in the spur of the moment, but had he chosen the wrong thing to say? "Uh, sorry 'bout that, it was kinda stupid, I'll stop if you don't like it."
Then Maki burst into silent giggles.
"No, I love it. Nobody's ever given me such a cute nickname before. Sorry I scared you, it's the eyes, isn't it? I have to work on my expressions..." Her smile was clear on her face as she looked up towards him once more.
Kaito grinned. "Actually, I think you're cute even with the murder eyes. It's unique... it's something only you can pull off."
"Oh, shut up."
Chuckling at her remark, Kaito took her hand in his and stood up. He led her over to a small circular clearing in the middle of the garden where the moonlight shone brightest, fiddled with his phone, and set it down on the floor. The suave voice of Frank Sinatra soon filled the air.
Fly me to the moon and let me play among the stars...
"What are we doing?", a surprised Maki asked.
"Dancing! The night is still young, after all, and I don't want to waste my beautiful date because the music isn't to our taste." He took a step back and bowed, extending a hand to her like he did earlier. "Shall we dance, milady?"
Maki took the offered hand. "Gladly."
Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars...
Moonlight illuminated the two of them like a dream as Maki allowed herself to be led by Kaito in a gentle waltz. Her crimson dress flared out like a blooming rose with each spin, and his star-studded coattails flew in the wind with each move they shared.
In other words, hold my hand… in other words, darling, kiss me!
The pair danced all around the garden with hands clasped tight, softly mouthing the words to the song that was serenading them. The experience was similar yet completely unlike the dances they danced in the gym only hours ago - this time it was infinitely more private and intimate, a show for the two of them only. Lost in each other's company, it seemed to them as if they had been transported to a realm of nothing but moonlight and soft music and rosebushes and each other.
In other words, please be true... in other words, I love you!
The song came to a close as Kaito swept Maki into a dip, their faces hovering a mere inch apart. Purple eyes met red, neither able to look away. Lips were parted to let out warm breaths that quickened as both realized how close they were to each other. The pair were in perfect balance, each holding the other in place with their very body. And just as it seemed the fragile yet beautiful moment could last forever...
Maki took hold of Kaito's collar, drew him closer, and kissed him full on the lips.
It was as if time itself had stopped. The rustling of the leaves in the wind, the dull thumping of the music from the gym, and even the glow of the moonlight shining above melted away from her senses. There was nothing left behind but his slightly rough but warm lips on her own, the firm fabric of his jacket under her hands and his toned back beneath it, his gentle and sweet scent in her lungs and the pleasant tingling in her heart. In short, it was nothing but perfect. She could have spent an eternity in that single shining moment and never get tired of it.
Unfortunately for Maki, a slew of doubts started bubbling up to the surface like fizz in a glass of soda the moment her brain caught up to her body. Here she was, with her lips on some boy she'd literally known for barely a few hours. What if she was overreacting to someone who'd only shown her basic kindness? What if she was overstepping her boundaries when Kaito only thought of her as a friend - and a closed-off and distant one at that? What if he thought of her as clingy and obsessed over him in all the wrong ways?
"I'm sorry," she breathed, "that was uncalled for. I shouldn't have done that." She hurriedly pulled away, disentangling from his warm comfortable embrace. She was all ready to flee from the garden, flee from her traitorous emotions and this stupid feeling in her chest when a gentle hand grabbed her wrist.
"Maki Roll," Kaito whispered, "if you wanted a kiss you could've just asked."
He pulled her back into his arms in one swift movement, into that intoxicating black hole of warmth she would never be able to escape, and kissed her again with all the passion in his heart.
And of course, like all things, the second time was even better than the first.

Want You Back
Reader x Minhyuk
Genre : Fluff , kind of angst ? Nothing too serious lol
Word Count : 1.9k
Author : Admin C
In which you and & Minhyuk are both idols who break up but the spirit of a special Christmas song brings a Christmas miracle
A/N : It was hard to write a breakup scene because Minnie is so so so so soso sweet lsjflajsdflaj
Tumblr media
“Ugh what was the point of me coming over if we’re only going to argue?!”
You and your boyfriend, Minhyuk, were standing in your dorm living room yelling at each other. Originally, the plan was for him to come over because the rest of your group members were out for the day. Seeing as you both were idols, you tried to spend time whenever you could. You two had decided to take advantage of the private time and had started off watching movies and making out a bit when he asked about your schedule. Normally, he was understanding about you being busy since he was an idol, but lately it had become an issue between you two. When you both had begun dating you knew being busy would be the biggest problem but you both agreed to work through it when it happened. But now that it was happening you didn’t know how to deal with it.
“I feel like you don’t want to spend time with me anymore,” he said, his voice dropping low.
“What? Of course I do! It’s why you’re here with me today!”
Minhyuk was normally Mr. Sunshine but whenever he got angry or frustrated the sun was no longer shining. You knew he was stressed with his company giving him promotions back to back plus constantly flying for overseas promotions. You glanced up at him with teary eyes and shook your head.
“Why are we fighting? We both promised that we would work things out if we got too busy.”
“I know we did. But maybe . . .”
He sighed, running a hand through his recently bleached locks.
“Maybe we should take a break . . . I think we need time to figure things out.”
Your heart stopped in your chest. Was he actually breaking up with you?
“Minhyuk . . . You don’t mean . . . “
He couldn’t even look you in the face when he responded.
“I don’t want this, Y/N, believe me, but this is the only solution for now.”
He turned away from you and walked to your door. He stood there and, without turning back to you, he said, “I’ll see you later.”
The second the door slammed shut you couldn’t help but to burst into tears. You two had been together for a little over a year and you had not seen this coming. You slumped down onto your couch and curled up into a ball, crying quietly to yourself as you waited for your group members to return.
With the end of the year came the end of the year award shows, something that your company put extra pressure onto your group about. You were practicing nonstop day and night to ensure that your performance would be perfect. Being tired helped distract you from the fact that you had broken up with Minhyuk, who you had yet to hear from. It stung to see your group members celebrating the holidays, as you two had gotten together around Christmas time. As you sat in the living room, slouching in the corner as they all sipped on hot cocoa, your group leader, Jisoo, came over. She gave you a sympathetic smile and sat down next to you.
“How are you feeling?”
You shrugged, leaning your head up to rest it on her shoulder.
“I’m okay. It just sucks.”
“I bet. Are you going to be okay performing tomorrow?”
You bit your lip. The company had asked that the group also prepare a cover of an English song and you had chosen the Christmas classic “All I Want for Christmas is You.” It also happened to be the song that Minhyuk had asked you out to, which stung even more. You shrugged again and looked up at her with a weak smile.
“I’ll be fine. I mean, I just have to get it over with.”
She studied your expression for a second before slowly nodding.
“Alright then. I guess we’ll have to see tomorrow.”
You were standing backstage at the Golden Disk Awards surrounded by your group members, each of them chatting quietly as you waited for your cue to go onto the stage. Jisoo was continuing to eye you suspiciously for any change in your behavior. You assured her you were fine but she didn’t seem to buy it. Just as you were about to go on stage, your eyes began wandering around at the people who were rushing by you. Someone whizzed past you and recognition flashed through your mind but you couldn’t quite place who it had been. Your eyes went back to the stage as you watched Red Velvet finish performing their song. Jisoo cleared her throat and began your group’s greeting. Straightening up, you quickly joined in and bowed to whoever had just walked by. As you straightened up your eyes went wide as you realized it was Monsta X. They had just performed and were heading back to their seats. You tried to ignore Minhyuk but you could feel his eyes staring at you. Shownu, being the kind leader that he is, wished you all luck before shooing the boys back to their seats. You immediately felt Jisoo’s hand on your shoulder.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
You felt a fire burning in your stomach. You didn’t know from what, but you knew it would propel you to get through the stage.
“I’m fine. Let’s do this, yeah?”
She blinked at you and nodded, stepping aside so you could pass her as you went on stage. You all took your places for your recent comeback song and while the cameras prepared to record you let your eyes wander around the audience. You spotted Monsta X as they were sitting down. Minhyuk looked right at you but you refused to back down. The stage director began to countdown and you shut your eyes, sucking in a deep breath to focus. The cameras turned on and the music began to play. You fixed on a smile and began with your song. As the main vocal you knew you couldn’t mess up right now.
When your song finished you all spun around into formation for the Christmas song. You strode forward, your eyes determined as you stared straight at your ex boyfriend.
I don’t want a lot for Christmas
His eyes went wide as he realized what song was playing. Even from where you were standing you could see the color rush to his cheeks.
There is just one thing I need
I don’t care about the presents
  Underneath the Christmas tree
Jisoo stepped in next to take over the lines. You could see her smirking slightly as you stepped back into formation. As the song continued on your confidence came back and, by the end of it, the smile on your face was genuine. You all bow and wave to the audience before stepping backstage. Your manager immediately greets you and congratulates you for a job well done. She escorts you all back to a changing room to get rid of your stage costumes. Since the award show was almost over you decide to take your sweet time. As each group member files out, you assure them you’ll be out soon. Jisoo is the last one to leave and she flashes you a grin as she closes the door.
You sit in front of the vanity and begin blotting your face. Dancing around had made you pretty sweaty, and you were trying to go back out looking decent. A soft knock on the door interrupted your thoughts and you figured it was your manager coming to get you. You called out for her to enter and turn back to the vanity.
“You did a pretty awesome job out there.”
Your head immediately snaps towards the door. Minhyuk, not your manager, is leaning against the doorframe, one hand tucked into his slacks pocket. He pushes himself off and closes the door behind him. The air immediately changes between you two and you instinctively sink into your seat. “Wh-what are you doing here?”
“I came here to congratulate you. Your group did an amazing job.”
He stops until he’s standing right in front of you. You shrink a little bit more into your seat.
“You could have told my manager. She would have sent the message.”
He sighs, removing his hand from his pocket to rub the back of his neck.
“Listen . . . Y/N . . . I came here to apologize about . . . what happened at your dorm.”
You cross your arms tightly across your chest. “I’m listening.”
“I shouldn’t have been so harsh. I know that we both get so busy sometimes. I was being selfish. I’m really sorry.”
He leans down so he can look right into your eyes.
“I promise from now on to be more understanding about our schedules. And I promise from now on to be more patient with you.”
You couldn’t help the smile that was forming on your face. You sighed and rolled your eyes, feigning ignorance as you playfully looked away from him.
“Well . . . I guess I can forgive you for this.”
“Hey! I’ve been beating myself up about this!”
You laughed and opened up your arms for him. He smiled and immediately launched himself into them. He pressed a kiss to your cheek before snuggling into the crook of your neck.
“I missed this,” he sighed.
He gently pushed you out of your seat so he could sit instead and then pulled you onto his lap. You giggled and pressed a kiss to his lips. He leaned in forward and kissed you again. Your kisses went from being soft and chaste to rough and needy. Your fingers tangled in his soft hair while one of his hands stayed on your hip and the other on the back of your neck. He tugged on your hip to bring you even closer to him. Even though your lips were pressed against his you wanted to feel him even more. You bit on his bottom lip and tugged on it slightly, which made him moan into your mouth. A smirk tugged on your lips as you took advantage to slip your tongue into his mouth. You wanted to taste all of him, to never forget him and his smell and his everything. His hands moved from your hip to rise underneath your shirt, his fingers skimming along the skin of your sides. He pulled apart slightly to begin sucking on your neck. A low moan left your mouth just as someone knocked on the door.
“Minhyuk? Minhyuk are you here?”
Upon hearing his manager’s voice on the other side you immediately pulled away and jumped out of his lap. You hoarsely called out for him to enter and smoothed your shirt down. Minhyuk was still frozen in his seat, a noticeable flush on his face. The manager stepped in and stopped, his eyes narrowing as he glanced in between you two.
“I’m not even going to ask. Minhyuk, we need to get going. It was nice seeing you, Y/N. It’s good to see you two worked everything out.”
You nodded furiously and bowed, ears turning red from embarrassment. Minhyuk stood up and rushed past you, his manager raising an eyebrow at him. He turned to look at you and smiled before saying, “Call me whenever you want to stop by.”
You quietly thanked him before glancing over at the door to wave bye to your boyfriend. He gave you his warm sunshine smile before being pulled away by his manager. You felt like you had won the biggest award that night, the award of having the best boyfriend.

hey plum, this is the anon that asked for your name and your header lol. i'm asking again now! if it isn't too much trouble, could you make a k-pop mood master list? for example, what kpop songs you listen to when you feel sad, pick me up songs, happy songs, songs that fire you up, etc. thank you so much!!
Ugh Oooooh, really interesting request! Haha Imma warn y’all now, since I stan very few groups (bc if I stan more I’m gonna end up buying all their albums and essentially turn broke huhu) so there won’t be as much variety as you expect, but I’ll do my best!
(huhuh it’s like 80% BTS tho I apologize that’s really all I listen to nowadays esp with comeback season so close. Note that I had to stop yself at some point or else this list would have like maybe a hundred songs LOL)
WHEN I’M SAD AND FEEL LIKE WALLOWING A BIT
These are also the songs I like writing angst too. Haha 10/10 very effective.
Lonely by SISTAR
It’s literally their disbandment song. Tears all around.
Tomorrow, Today by JJProject
A song about being lost and not knowing what to do next. It’s ok to not know the next step. It’s ok to just spend a few days being sad about it.
Fine by Taeyeon
Taeyeon sings the best songs about finding difficulty moving on. I love her.
Dagaone by VIXX
Another song about falling out of love. It’s so scary how easily that can happen, really, but when it does, what else is there to do?
Love is Not Over by BTS
J-Hope’s I’m not okay is me throughout this whole song.
Autumn Leaves by BTS
The instruments and the voices and the general heartbreaking theme of a love gone cold. I love it.
One of These Nights by Red Velvet
The MV is hauntingly beautiful, consider the fact that they dedicated it to the Sewol tragedy makes it even sadder.
Lost Stars by Jeon Jungkook (covered from Maroon 5)
God this song was sad enough when Maroon 5 sang it but Jungkook only makes it sound more heartbreaking. I remember someone made a mock MV to this cover using clips from the HYYH era and it made me so emotional.
11:11 by Taeyeon
Another Taeyeon favorite. That Na na na na part always sells it for me.
WHEN I’M FIRED UP AND GETTING READY TO FACE AN AWESOME DAY
Like it says, I wake up and I’m pumped, ready to go. I just need a matching soundtrack as I dance around my room preparing for a good day ahead.
Also these are the songs that make me feel like an unbeatable badass when I listen to them.
Fire by BTS
DUH???
21st Century Girls by BTS
“You’re worth it. You’re perfect. Deserve it. Just work it.” Who won’t get pumped up just from that? Ugh Namjoon’s voice in this one is to die for.
Hola Hola - KARD
Ahh, this song reminds me of summers and chill hang outs and just generally having fun.Makes for a great morning tune.
All Night - Girls’ Generation
Just girls having a fun night out, about to party. I love listening to this (and dancing along) in the shower.
Boombayah by BLACKPINK
ANOTHER SHOWER JAM.
As If It’s Your Last by BLACKPINK
DAMN MY PRINCESSES LOOKING SO GOOD AND FEELING THEMSELVES AND LISA WITH THAT RAP YES YOU PRETTY AND NASTY YES BABY ANYTHING YOU WANT YOU GO GIRLS.
Energetic by Wanna One
It’s literally a song about being energetic what more can you want for a pump up song haha.
Basically any of the Cyphers by BTS (YES EVEN CIRCLE ROOM CYPHER THAT WAS A TRIP HAHA)
These songs were made as tracks dissing the people who disrespected them and didn’t believe in them and hey look at them now. Honestly just listening to the rapline spit fire gets me turnt everytime.
Come Back Home by BTS (covered from Seo Taeji)
Just. Just listen to it. This shit be fire.
We On by BTS
“I don’t know you and you don’t know me so please shut up. Don’t worry about me, I’m better than you.” Gee knowing that Kookie was a fetus when this came out makes the line even more badass.
Not Today by BTS
You didn’t think I’d leave this out, did you? Damn this song has powered me through many productive days. Best.
Dope by BTS
DOUBLE DUH???
Jump by BTS
Needless to say, this song makes me want to jump until my head hits the roof.
Rise of Bangtan by BTS
That intro by Yoongi then all that magic that comes after? Damn.
Fun Boys by BTS
JA! WASSEO! A HEUNGTAN SONYEONDAN
WHEN I’M DOWN AND NEED A LITTLE HAPPY PILL
Different from the above in the sense that these are happy songs or hopeful songs, when I need a gentler lift from my rough moods. This is the kind of songs I listen to when I had a bad day but am looking forward to better days
Serendipity by BTS
God this song+MV combo is so beautiful and ethereal to watch and listen to. Whenever I feel a little off I just close my eyes and put it on loop and I find myself smiling, feeling a little bit more motivated to continue the day.
Butterfly (Prologue Mix) by BTS
Ever since the Young Forever repackage came out, I found myself listening to the prologue mix more than the original. It just has a more solemn, nostalgic feel to it compared to the original. Plus the Prologue MV is also pretty sad and nostalgic it just gives me all the feels. Plus I’ve associated this song with a lot of happy memories. (And that bridge tho)
So Far Away by BTS (Suga, Jin, Jungkook)
This song this song this song. Ugh no joke it has helped me through a lot, given me hope through my toughest moments. Words simply can’t describe how much this song means to me. I find this version to be more hopeful and cathartic compared to the original.
A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone by BTS
Some days you just need people alongside you to help keep you going. This song encapsulates those feelings perfectly. Don’t be afraid to reach out to your friends when you want help. THey’re called your friends for a reason.
Two! Three! by BTS
Whenever I’ve had a rough day this song cheers me right up. Things may be hard, but we just have to hope for better days.
Epilogue: Young Forever by BTS
I’m always so weak for songs about wanting to stay young forever. This was my graduation feels jam.
Tomorrow by BTS
This is my go-to “things won’t always work out, but you just have to keep going” song. The lyrics are amazingly vivid.
Whalien 52 by BTS
I’m a super nerd about the 52Hz whale and when I saw that BTS made a song about it, I fell in love immediately. This is the song I listen to when I’m savoring my solitude. Some days, you just gotta be alone, y’know.
Spring Day by BTS
This song is about missing someone who’s far away, wanting to be with them. I’m in an LDR, and this song just keeps me going for the hard days.
Last Dance by BIGBANG
I know this song seems sad, but there’s that super hopeful tone about coming back and meeting again, and that’s what gets me so much.
