a/n: Usually I see when characters take care of the reader, but I wanted to reverse it and see how they act when they are sick! Hope you enjoy!

Madara Mikejima:

Madara is someone who acts like they are fine, except they are not. Somehow he’s still acting as expressive as ever, but you can see the slight fatigue he has by his body signs. Slower reactions, tilting head, and him lagging behind you when walking are all clear signs that he is not doing too well.

You.. have to force Mama to get some rest. Forcing him includes some dragging, sweet talking him, shoving him, and trying to pick him up. Repeat that a couple of times, and sadly you still won’t be able to get him to actually take care of himself. You droop, hugging him from behind whining about how he always takes care of you so you want to do the same for him.

He pauses, turning his head to look at you. He smiles and sighs, he could never resist you. You perk up immediately when he agrees to finally rest, and you hurriedly dragged him back home, texting Anzu that Madara would be taking a sick day today. 

After you get home, you quickly take off his coat and usher him towards the bedroom to get him to rest his body. It’s time to start preparing food for him! You scan your eyes on what you have, deciding to make some chicken noodle soup to make sure he can body it. While you wait for the pasta to boil, you grab some medicine and enter the bedroom, only to see Madara standing at the desk.

You scold him for not relaxing in the bed, and pull him and push him down. Madara only laughs, tucking himself in and making grabby hands at you. You indulge him, wrapping your arms around his neck and pecking his cheek. Usually Madara is busy, so it’s nice to be able to spend time with him. Although you did wish it would be when he was free, not when he was sick and refusing to actually help himself by taking the day off.

Madara’s eyes soften, holding you gently and burying his face into the crook of your neck. He appreciates the fact you care this much for him, and are willing to make sure he is okay. Not everyone can have this luxury, so he’s sure to make the most of being able to be around you.

He somehow was better the next day?? It baffled you to see Madara up and running in the morning, and even more when he stopped his coughing and fatigue. You had some suspicions that Madara was lying to you and pretending to be fine, so you quickly took him for a check in with Sagami-san, and he was...fine??

“Thank you for taking care of me, Mama will definitely treat you out for dinner!”

Rei Sakuma:

It’s not that you don’t trust Rei, but you know that he is more sickly compared to other people, with his illness that him and Ritsu share. That’s why it’s a common sight to see you trailing behind Rei and hovering around him, just in case something happens you say. Rei himself finds it endearing that you care so much about him, but he himself often worries about your health.

Although, it’s not the time for him to be worrying about you he supposes. You were letting Rei rest on your lap, before trying to comb his hair with your fingers. Then you realized that Rei was actually burning up, warmer then he usually is. Rei is naturally a colder person then most, so it was easy to see that something was wrong with him.

You panic, making Rei get up and follow you to his dorm room. Settling him down on his bed, you quickly rush to get a wet cloth to try and lower his fever. You’ve seen a few times of Rei getting small colds or having a cough, but you never have really seen him full on sick. He simply laughs, and his eyes twinkle. It almost distracts you, before realizing you have to get stuff for him and pushing him back down on his bed (when did he manage to sit back up with your constant fretting?)

It’s not that hard convincing Rei to rest, in fact he likes taking naps and spending time with you, so it’s a win-win in his book. For you however, it’s not appreciated when he tries to coax you into sitting down with him, since you can definitely tell that he’s trying to make you take a break. You scold him, telling him that you will stop being busy when he gets better, so he should try to rest up and get better as soon as he can.

But of course, there are times where you see Rei looking at papers, and having a pen in his hand. You have to snatch the items away, putting it in your bag and having to convince him that the rest of UNDEAD can deal with doing his share of work for a few days, it’s not like it will affect his career that much.

Luckily Rei is used to getting better fast, so it only takes a couple of days for him to heal up. You sigh and tell him to take care of himself better so he won’t fall sick again like this. There were multiple times where you had to grab the tomato juice out of his hands and check the expiration date in case it was old (often it actually was expired, but it was a good thing that you carry extra bottles in your bag).

“Fuhuhu, I must thank you for taking care of me. Is there something you desire? If so, I’ll gladly buy it for you.”

Hokuto Hidaka:

He just won’t stop his work to rest?? It’s like trying to talk to a brick wall, Hokuto telling you that he is fine (he’s not) and you begging him to sit down and take a break. He just makes it so hard for you to take care of him, Hokuto genuinely believes he is fine, and it’s certainly driving you insane.

Why must he be like this, you have to pry his work away from him, and you end up wrestling him to the couch out of a fit of frustration when he doesn’t move. You didn’t want to have to use this card, but telling Hokuto that you will call his dad over to tell him that he’s sick gets Hokuto to stop fighting  real quick.

Although he does glare at you slightly, upset that you played the Papa Hidaka card. He does listen to what you say afterwards though, so you’re slightly less guilty of practically blackmailing him. Taking his temperature you quickly lay him down, grabbing medicine from your bag. Luckily you had put some in your bag because of winter coming, so you happened to be prepared for something like this.

Hokuto is calm when he’s sick, he’s not crazy delirious nor refusing to eat his medicine so your treatment is a breeze. Though you will have to convince him that work can wait until he’s better, and that you can do some of his work to take the burden off. Of course he denies this, not wanting you to do work he should be doing.

The rest of Trickstar and Anzu pop in sometimes, but you do have to restrain Subaru from tackling Hokuto at random times. Otherwise they are good friends, helping you out when you can’t take time off to help Hokuto. You’re glad that Hokuto has people that care for him deeply, and that they are willing to take the time to care for Hokuto.

Hokuto heals up at a pretty normal rate, unlike some people you happened to know (Subaru... it scares you how fast he is able to recover from a fall.) So you don’t have to spend all of your time on him, he in fact urges you to do your own things since he doesn’t want to be a burden to you. You’re happy that you were able to spend some time with Hokuto though, it was warming to be able to take care of him for once.

“Thank you for helping me when I was sick, I very much appreciate it. If you ever get sick, tell me. I will try my best to repay you back.”

Mao Isara:

Mao tend to overwork himself a lot, he has both Trickstar duties and student council paperwork to do, so it’s common to see him working constantly. Of course it ends up that he gets his fair share of sicknesses, since he focuses on his paperwork until it’s late and the moon is shining down through the window.

One good way for you to get him to rest is to hug him from behind and make puppy eyes to convince him to take a break. Usually this will work, as Mao has a soft spot for you. But if it doesn’t work, then with more force try to drag him away from the desk. Both of these methods will be able to get him to rest, as he is both weak for you and tired.

He sleeps a lot, is what you notice. Whenever you walk into his room to bring him food, he is taking a nap curled up in his bed. It’s a cute sight, though you have to wake him up to make sure he eats. The thing is, he’s more sensitive to heavier foods, so make sure to give him soft soups or porridge, that will do the trick.

Ritsu comes and goes when he can. He complains about Mao not being able to carry him to school, and tells Mao that he should get better quickly to continue. You end up laughing a lot, although Mao sighs at Ritsu and promises him that he will get better. You can tell that Ritsu cares for him, as he drops off medicine and snacks for Mao.

You’re glad that Mao seems to be brightening up more as he recovers, his eyes are less droopy and he seems to be awake more often, chatting to you about what you’ve been doing. He’s not quite a high maintenance person, but he does tell you that he feels better when you’re around to be with him.

It’s easy to tell when Mao is all better, for one he’s actually standing up from his bed successfully (he tried to stand up and almost fell, it was a good thing you were sitting right by his bed at the time). He tends to recover slower then most people, you guess it’s because he kept pushing through his sickness before you were able to get him to rest. You’re pleased that you were able to take care of him correctly, and that he seems to be even happier before his sickness. (He doesn’t tell you that he was happy about you taking care of him.)

“Ah, thank you so much for taking care of me! I’ll take you out for lunch, my treat.”

Ritsu Sakuma x Reader

Note: Another day, another short fic. Goddamnit. I can rant on how the heck I imagined a certain someone irl attempting to bite my hands (Well that happened after teasing him ofc with a small tickling and pinching session. My hands and arms became red afterwards HSHSHSHSHSHSHS)

Warning: Swearing. It's been a year. I am not supposed to swear a lot this year and I'm still trying not to swearTT

You dashed your way towards Knights' practice room. You were practically wobbling as you ran. You tried to stay awake by slapping your cheeks, jumping, and running yet it worked a little but your sleepy mind wanted you to rest. You shook your head as you felt your eyelids get heavier as you reached the practice room. You opened the door to see if anyone's here but to your surprise, no one is in here, not even a single person.

You groaned as you sat on the floor and leaned your back on the wall of the practice room. Things had gone busier when your schedule is occupied for a week and you barely had time to rest due to producer work. You sighed in distress and closed your eyes as you felt the exhaustion running through your system.

Your mind woke up as you heard footsteps in the practice room. Your eyes remained closed but you could almost recognize the voice around you.

"Uchuu~ Producer, we're here!"

"Leo, don't disturb the producer."

"Knights' practice is cancelled because we're late searching for Leo."

"Hmm... we should put the producer on one of the makeshift beds we prepared for Ritsu. The coffin bed is also here isn't it?"

"Put the producer there and they'll be my pillow while they're asleep."

"I think it's best for her to sleep at the infirmary."

You felt a weight in your lap but your eyes are too tired to open. "Meh. Too late, Secchan." Your heart rate quickened when you recognize that voice too easily. Even though you're sound asleep, you can feel the blood rushing up to your cheeks and warmed up.

'Wake up, sleepyhead!' You told yourself and tried to move your arm to rub your eyes awake but exhaustion completely invaded your system. 'Curses... of all things Ritsu could do to me is just sleep on my lap? I am awake but my body isn't. Am I dead?'

"Should we leave them...?" Arashi asked the others and Izumi nodded. "I don't think we could." Tsukasa said as he pointed the ginger on the floor, lying on his belly, composing a song with the music sheets and was now scattered on the floor.

"Ahahahaha! Inspiration! Inspiration is overflowing! Hehehehe..." Leo exclaimed as he continued to write the melody from his head. Izumi facepalmed when he knew the reason: You and Ritsu napping the day away.

You scrunched your nose while you mentally scold yourself, making it seem like you're stirred yourself awake. Ritsu noticed this and wrapped his arms around your waist and nuzzled his face on your belly. He felt your body moved a little. He smirked when he remembered that you're ticklish.

'Ritsu, what the heck are you doing?!' You mentally sweatdropped when you suddenly became his pillow. 'Mao, please get me. I am begging!'

"Ritsu, if you don't want them to leave, you can just put them on one of the makeshift beds." Izumi pointed out the beds on the back corners of the practice room and continued, "Don't give them a hard time. Soooo annoying~"

Ritsu shifted himself to face the others and gave Izumi a smug look. "Secchan, producer will be fine here. Don't be bitter." He turned back to face you and continued to nap.

'Really? He's not bitter you bloodsucking sloth. He just want you to give me space.' You thought and tried to flick his forehead but it was nearly impossible for you because of your sleeping companion.

Minutes had passed which it felt like hours, you finally able to flutter your eyes open. You stretched yourself awake and forgot what you just heard earlier when your brain is active in your sleep. Just as you were about to stand up, you felt a weight on your legs.

'I almost forgot that this little devil here is sleeping on my lap.' You look down to see Ritsu sleeping. You sighed in relief because he was just sleeping on you but the gods above was never in your side today.

You closed your eyes and waited for him to leave. At the same time, he opened his eyes and began nuzzling his face to your belly. "Ha—" You exclaimed and you went into a fit of laughter when he laid his hands to your waist.

"Ritsu, please—!" Your words cut off with your laughs. This little shit never showed mercy to your pleas whenever he has an attempt to make fun of you and to tease you.

"What's going on? Ritsu, stop teasing the producer. Soooo annoying~" Izumi groaned as he heard you laughing. Ritsu clicked his tongue when he heard Izumi groaned and whined at his moment with you but that didn't stop him there.

Ritsu didn't stop tickling you until you felt your body lying down to the ground. He knew that you're about to surrender at the torture and rise up from his lying position. Now, your whole body on the floor as Ritsu tickled you.

Unknown to you two, Arashi recorded the whole tickle session that Ritsu gave you. She quietly giggled as she recorded everything.

"Ritsu... please— Aha! Stop!" You yelled and he let you go from the torture. You panted for air while that stupid smile remained on your face. Your eyes half-lidded and face red from laughter. Your felt dizzy and nauseous. You sighed in relief and looked at the vampire on you. Your face went even more red when you realized the position you two are in. Your eyes widen when you know all too well that it didn't end there.

Ritsu lied down and faced you as he wrapped himself all over you, making you as his body pillow. He took your hand and brought it to his mouth and began kissing it. You jolted at the sudden contact of his lips to your hand. You felt chills on your spine when his teeth grazed on the back of your hand. You suppressed the whimpers in your throat as he playfully nibbled your fingertips. You nearly yelped when you felt him licking the side of your hand.

You irked and pinched his arm that held your hand but he didn't flinch. Instead, he bit it, leaving a mark. You glared at Ritsu who is currently smirking behind your hand. You finally remember why he acted clingy towards you.

You look up to see Arashi and her phone's camera facing you and Ritsu. Red began to creep towards your face and she put her phone down. She gestured you to stay quiet and you nodded in return. Leo jumped up from his lying position and laughed out loud. He ran out of the practice room to look for more inspiration which that made you sigh. You felt Ritsu move and your attention went to him as he spoke.

"Now you understand why you shouldn't ignore me for the whole day. You're facing the consequences, producer." Ritsu said and he hugged you tight. "And don't overwork yourself. I'm forcing you to rest. So nap with me..." Soft snores took place from his drowsy words. You sighed and patted his head and hummed, lulling him to sleep.

ohh that’s a good question! I think it’s one of trickstar like you said but I’d narrow it down to subaru or mao. makoto is way too shy to think about it and hokuto is a bit. ignorant? and might not register any advances anzu makes as flirting. I can see subaru getting really close with her after the whole ss fiasco, and for mao, maybe they both needed some stress relief after getting overloaded with work…it’s also a generic and sweet giving each other their first time trope either way

I could see rei being her first too, possibly because he’s got experience, but bc he knows about kaoru’s crush on her he might not do anything until his friend’s done something first

Blood dripped thickly, causing a light tap into the metal bin as soon as it hit. Small and thin yet rough petals of a kind of flower followed afterwards with every cough he heaves. His skin burns from the major fever this disease has caused him. Rashes forming around his limbs started to blister from the thorns that begged to be free from being wrapped around his heart and twisting through his veins.

"This is three steps worse than last night." Comes a mutter from the fellow redhead of the dorm room - Kuro, his hand rests on his chin as he glances towards where Isara leaned over his bed, still sitting under his summer duvet silently begging for the coughs to cease to a stop.

"At this rate, we may have to call your little friends that you're not coming to the convention and take you to the hospital instead to get you checked in for the night."

"I can't do that. This event is an important one to go to...!" His throat felt raw with the intensity he spoke. The stinging sensation of the nettles crawled through his windpipe with every syllable he breathed out. The vines dared to grow further upwards, letting the leaves take space in between as they began clogging his throat up slowly.

Isara Mao had what is called the "Hanahaki Disease," and so far, Kuro was the only person who knew about it. Only by mere accident. The older male even knows who he is suffering because of, and he feels bad for the younger male. Especially because the said person was already in a relationship with someone else, not long after Isara had developed feelings for them.

The said person was also too busy and oblivious of Isara's feelings for them.

Another heaving cough reaches Isara, causing him to lean over the bed once more as more of the red fluid flows, petals reminding him of the amount of time he has left. He waits a minute after the wreck of a coughing fit, his mouth still slightly open from the urges to throw some up more.

Kuro leans over from where he stood and grabs one of the many water bottles that sat in a crate amongst many by the door of the dorms room and hands the cold bottle towards Isara. He unscrews the glue-tight-like lid before doing so, raising an eyebrow at the younger. "More than death? I don't think so. You're going, Isara, and I'll make sure of it."

Isara stayed silent at the response, taking a few gulps or sips possible of the clear liquid when he could. His eyes cast down to his lap, a frown of discomfort never once leaving from his facial features.

In the corner of his eye, he could see Kuro tapping away on his phone — most likely chatting to either one or all of the rest of the members from Trickstar. Possibly even Eichi or anyone else who's a member of the student council, too, about Isara's situation.

A sudden groan then comes from the beaujolais-haired boy, causing Kuro to switch his phone off and inch closer towards the younger who seemed to hold his stomach tight with one arm, as the other clutched tight against his blood stained top grasping to grip against his chest on the same side that his heart would be.

"I'm definitely calling you an ambulance." He hears Kuro mutter once more, the older student already waiting on call for the emergency line to pick up. Thankfully, in Kuro's opinion, the person on the other side of the line picked up right away, letting him speak of the needed help immediately.

"I'd like to call for an ambulance, please..." Kuro's voice fades from Isara's hearing as he lurches over his bed once more, more droplets of blood hitting the bottom of the bin in such disgusting swirls as the various flower petals floated amongst the terrifying red.

More coughs surge through, causing a non-stop fit of heaving the pleads to breathe freely for a moment. Isara could feel tears from the pain pricking at the corners of his kelly green eyes. Shivers of the hot fever going up and down his spine repeatedly, causing him to shake every now and then.

The only thing Kuro could do at that moment was rub the youngers' back in comfort as he kneeled down to the floor besides Isara's bed, his phone was still up to his ear as he spoke about Isara's situation to the person on call. Kuro's voice would often go up an octave in worry, or deeper than his usual voice when talking stern and begging for ways on how to help Isara in his situation.

The call suddenly ends as Kuro places his phone onto Isara's bedside table. "The miss on the other side said the ambulance will be here in twenty minutes at most." He wished they could get to the place faster for Isara, but with how busy traffic can be from one side of the town to the other during these hours of the week, the older student knew it would be impossible for them to do so.

Kuro then suddenly stands up. "She said for you to stay sitting up and drink your water if needed. Don't force the blood out." He turns around to face the rest of the room and headed towards Isara's own chest of drawers that sat at the end of his bed.

"What are you doing?" Isara heaved. A large cough erupts from his throat after he spoke.

"I'm packing you a night bag, just in case they tell you to stay in for the night or so. I wouldn't be surprised if they did tell you that, with your situation."

Isara only nods mutely as his reply.

Minutes go by as the two wait. Kuro helped Isara as much as possible with his situation every time the smaller felt pain or needed to throw up.

If there was an analogue clock in the room, Isara would definitely be able to hear the loud ticks the hands cause every second or so from the amount of waiting he has to do. He'd rather be free of this impending doom and either practice with Trickstar, play sports with Midori, to sit with Ritsu and carry him around, or help Eichi and the others in the councils office — literally anything but sitting around like a loose toy would do.

Half an hour extra passes some more. Some students of the music course had knocked on the rooms door, asking how Isara was. It was mostly from the ever so impatient Trickstar and Eichi who came by to check up on him, even helping Kuro with looking after Isara until their short minutes were up.

Isara was finding it even more difficult to breathe. The ambulance had yet to arrive, and there was no way Kuro or anyone could get Isara to the hospital by their own hands.

He shivered again, now laying on his side with one arm draping over the edge of the bed, his hand grazing the carpet flooring. Kuro scolded him for laying down, but it's not like the younger could hear him anyway.

"Kuro..." Isara could just about manage through his short breaths. Kuro stood by the rooms only window, peeking out of it every millisecond possible as he clenched his phone tight in his strong hold, always prepared to look for any messages or calls from the emergency lines. The ambulance still has yet to come. It was frustrating, in Kuro's opinion. They said they'd be at the campus grounds as soon as possible, but they were more late than intended. Here was a kid dying, and the medics were casually taking their time like as though they were on holiday in France.

He turned around, looking at Isara in his weak state. Fear iced over his veins as he quietly stepped towards the other — with how slow the ambulance was at arriving, there was no way Isara would be saved, and it ached in Kuro's heart horribly.

If there was a magical way of saving Isara, Kuro would happily sacrifice himself for the other to complete that mission. He knew of the classic three ways to get rid of this disease, but Isara has already attempted almost all of them... and failed. He had such bad luck that it made the duo of redheads upset together.

Kuro kneeled down besides Isara, ignoring the mess of failed attempts of getting blood and petals and puke alike into the bin, he grabbed ahold of Isara's hand that grazes by the carpet flooring, a sudden quick emotion of shock goes through his mind of how cold the other felt. Isara usually was warm. Like the perfect temperature of a radiator during a winter storm, but now he felt as cold as a snowy blizzard.

Kuro glances up to meet eye to eye with Isara as much as he can. Isara's kelly greens were shaking from the amount of shock his body was letting out without his control. The greens of his eyes were dulling of its shining radiance with every minute that clocked by. Isara couldn't even see the older in front of him any longer, as he shouted out in fright from ten minutes ago about it.

Kuro has never heard such harsh fear from the other before. It was something he wished to never sense again, only for the other to be genuinely happy.

"I'm still here, bud."

Isara's cries cease to a stop. The only movement there was left of the beaujolais-haired teenager was still of his shaking and the few rare breaths he let out. He couldn't even talk anymore. He only let the blood flow from his mouth and the few petals that started to slow its rising existence from his throat. Kuro tried to clean the mess around Isara as much as he could repeatedly.

A sigh of the unknown suddenly comes from Isara. His eyes were fully closed, but his body still shook and twitched. Kuro didn't once let go of the youngers' hand as a sudden knock came from the dorm room door. He shouts for whoever is on the other side that the door is unlocked.

A few pairs of footsteps tred inside of the room towards Isara and Kuro.

The door closes automatically by itself as Kuro and Anzu leave the funeral directors office, thanking the very director for their time. The aura around them was darker and dull than ever as the cold winters breeze wraps around their figures.

"I have a question..." came the broken voice of Anzu as the two stood at a set of traffic lights, waiting for the big lights to turn from green to red for them to cross over the street. "Who did... Who did Isara have feelings for to suffer that much of the disease?"

Kuro stayed silent for a moment, watching some of the vehicles that pass by. Ordinary cars, lorries, and motorbikes alike zooming without a notice.

"If I tell you, do you promise not to blame yourself?"

Anzu was confused, but she nodded right away. She hears the male student sigh and turn to her with a meekly glance.

"It was you." Kuro then suddenly chuckles low and sadly, "I remember him ranting to me a few months ago in our dorm about his crush on you when it was just us alone one evening. Kuro has tried getting Eichi and Ritsu to call Isara's family members about the sad happening not long after the youngers' passing, but no one ever answered their calls, it made Ritsu and a bunch of other frustrated at the situation. No matter how many times they all tried to call, the numbers would always be sent straight to voicemail.

It made Ritsu especially far mad than everyone else, especially because of knowing about Isara's past with his family.

Kuro sits down on his bed, about to lie down, but something small and white catches his attention. He turns to look at his pillow to see a small and soft feather sitting there, there was nothing to indicate in the room for a feather to make its presence known. He picks it up — Kuro knows what feathers mean when it comes to the thought of the dead.

He wraps his hand around the small white feather, raising his hand to his chest as he closes his eyes in thought.

Isara was at some final peace on the other side. He hoped to bring some hope and a new beginning for Kuro and everyone else of Yumenosaki as a thank you.

Kuro lets a soft smile crease his features.

if the minions were to see eichi's actual plans on the surface level, that would be enough for them to see as evil

there's also the possibility that some minions might see eichi as "good" and exfine as heroes so they'd turn to serve the eccentrics instead
