I took some liberties with this translation, but basically: In the hiragana writing system, you have syllables, not letters. So, “ha hi hu (pronounced fu) he ho” would be written as “はひふへほ”. For the sake of silliness, this song adds a maru (◌゚) to those hiragana to turn them into “pa pi pu pe po” (ぱぴぷぺぽ”). In later stanzas, words that already had the syllables “pa pi pu pe po” have their maru taken away from them and become “ha hi fu he ho”.

New figures released by the BPI have revealed that sales of vinyl LPs and audio cassettes surged ahead in 2020.

Released ahead of the overall BPI figures for 2020 on January 4, the latest sales data on vinyl and cassettes shows how fans turned to physical formats during the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the Official Charts Company data supplied by the BPI, 4.8 million LPs were purchased in the UK over the past 12 months, a year-on-year increase of almost 10% and a 13th consecutive year of growth since 2007. Despite the many challenges for retail during the pandemic, the performance in 2020 was stronger than 2019, when vinyl sales were up 4.1% year-on-year.

Vinyl LPs now account for nearly one in five of all albums purchased (18%) and are at their highest level since the early ’90s. Vinyl generates almost twice as much in industry revenues as music video streaming platforms such as YouTube, noted the BPI.

While streaming now accounts for around 80% of UK music consumption, the immediacy of the digital format is increasingly complemented by the collection of physical editions by fans.

Among the titles expected to be announced as the year’s best-sellers by the Official Charts Company are classic LPs such as Rumours by Fleetwood Mac, Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black and Nirvana’s Nevermind. Oasis’ (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? is set to be the second biggest seller on vinyl in 2020, following a successful 25th anniversary reissue campaign.

Alongside the perennial classics on the format, new studio albums have also performed well on vinyl this year, including Harry Styles’ Fine Line (the biggest new vinyl release of the past year with 22,368 sales), Kylie Minogue’s Disco, AC/DC’s Power Up, Ultra Mono by Idles and the new live album from Arctic Monkeys.

Vinyl LP sales initially dipped during the first lockdown but by September they began showing positive year-to-date growth for the first time. Campaigns such as Love Record Stores, Tim Burgess’ Twitter Listening Party, Record Store Day (over three dates), The Record Club and National Album Day (in October) helped to rally fans in support of indie record shops, specialist chains and the artist community.  

Though still only a fraction of overall recorded music, cassettes now come as standard on many album releases. It is projected that around 157,000 tapes will have been purchased in the past 12 months – double the total of the year before and the highest amount since 2003, when 243,000 tapes were sold and Now 54 was the year’s biggest seller on the format. This would mark an eighth year of consecutive growth for the format, which is finding a new market thanks to its retro, collectable appeal.

Among the most popular titles released on cassette in 2020 were Lady Gaga’s Chromatica, 5 Seconds Of Summer’s Calm, Yungblud’s Weird! and The 1975’s Notes On A Conditional Form.

Note: The dates given are taken from within the videos themselves from Char!Alan’s desktop. Dates with * * around them are dates that I’m just guessing on based on when the video was released or other factors. 

Unless specified, when I mention Alan in these descriptions, I’m talking about Character Alan. 

Also when I say Color Squad, I’m referring to only Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue 

When I say Color Gang, I’m referring to RYGB and the Second Coming/Orange. 

New Introductions of characters will also be bolded (and if I can get HTML stuff to work, then also colored)

With the release of AvA Actual Shorts, I have not added them yet to this timeline. I am unsure if I should considering they release on a weekly basis and frankly that is alot to add.

- *2007* - AvA II: Creation of the Chosen One. The Chosen One is captured and used as an ad blocker on Alan's desktop

- 10/2/2011 (Date given within AvA 5) - Animator Vs Animation III: Roughly 4 yrs after AvA2. The Chosen One breaks free. The Dark Lord is created to fight Chosen. Chosen convinces Dark to join forces and destroy Alan's computer. They escape into the internet to avoid the Blue Screen of Death.

- 10/2/2014 - Animator Vs Animation IV: 3 yrs after the events of AvA3. The creation of the Second Coming. Introduction of Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue from the website game SticksFight.com. Alan "end tasks" the stick figures causing Sec to attack Alan. They come to an agreement that Sec can stay if they help Alan with animation. It's also revealed that the Color Squad are fine and are back on their original website. They are allowed to visit the desktop whenever they like.

- 12/15/2015 - Animation vs Minecraft: Sec and the Color Squad are introduced to Minecraft. Red gets possessed by Herobrine and the group fights him. They end up deleting Minecraft from the desktop to stop him. Yellow notices the League of Legends icon on the desktop.

- 8/3/2017 - Animation vs YouTube: Sec and Green have a movie night and watch videos on YouTube. They end up angering YouTube and have to fight it.

- 9/26/2017 - AvM Shorts ep.1 - The Rediscovery: 2 yrs since AvM. Orange rediscovers Minecraft on the Desktop and reintroduces it to the Stick Figures.

- 12/18/2017 - AvM Shorts ep.2 - The Building Contest: The Color Squad have a building contest with Orange officiating.

AvA Shorts ep.2 - The Chosen One's Return: The Chosen One defeats the Virus. The Color Gang follow them through the hole Chosen used to get onto Alan's desktop.

AvA Shorts ep.3 - The Flashback: Reveals how the Chosen One and the Dark Lord escaped in AvA3. Shows them wreaking havoc on the internet. Dark creates the virus to spread across the internet starting with Alan. Chosen punches Dark to stop him before breaking into Alan's pc. Also the first canon instance of Interweb cities shown.

AvA Shorts ep.4 - The Showdown: The Color Gang follows Chosen through the internet hole. Chosen and Dark fight. The Color Gang try to help by setting up a connection to Alan's computer mouse. Dark Lord increases their power and kills Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. They try to delete Sec but after getting beat down, Sec unleashes a super power and defeats Dark Lord. Sec brings the Stick Figures back to life as well as Alan's cursor. Chosen tries to thank Sec but Sec doesn't remember what happened or of their powers. The Color Gang and Alan's Cursor return to Alan's desktop.

- 7/1/2019 - Animation vs Pokémon: Sec enters the world of Pokémon on Alan's Pokémon Silver game.

- *9/21/2019* - The Nether Arc

(NOTE: Theres a 9 month difference from AvM short 11 - 1/28/2019 and AvM short 14 - 9/21/2019, I don't know which of these dates is more accurate. There is no date seen in AvM 8 and since these episodes happen consecutively, one can assume it all happens on one day. For this timeline at least, I'm going to use 9/21/2019 as the date this arc happened)

AvM ep.8 - The Nether: Green and Blue find a mysterious Nether portal and explore the Nether. They anger a Pigman and see a purple stick figure go into a different Nether Portal.

Avm Shorts ep.9 - Villagers: Official introduction to Purple. Green and Blue enter the new portal and end up on different person's desktop MAC. Purple is the ruler of this Minecraft Village and Green and Blue are thrown in jail. They bribe their way out. Purple is mad but sees that the villagers used the material to build them a statue of themselves. Purple invites Green and Blue to explore the End with them.

Avm Shorts ep.10 - The End: Episode starts with Red, Yellow, and Orange discovering the original Nether Portal. Green, Blue, and Purple are in the end and face off against the Ender Dragon. They bring the dragon far away from the main island and an egg forms. ROY make there way onto Purple's desktop. Purple leaves abandons Green and Blue to fall into the End in favor of stealing the dragon's egg. Red, Orange, Yellow, and some villagers end up saving them right in time. The Dragon enters the Overworld looking for her egg and destroys most of the castle. Purple returns the egg and Purple is carried off by their villagers. The Color Gang enter the Nether and see more portals.

"1/28/2019" - Avm Shorts ep.11 - SkyBlock: RYGB want to go explore the other portals but Orange doesn't want to. The Stick Figures end up on SkyBlock. RYGB make a nice base for themselves. Orange misses their friends and then gets a vision that the Stick Figures house gets overrun with hostile mobs. Orange rushes to go save them but is attacked by a ghast and SkyBlock nether portals is broken. The Color Squad is trapped and Orange escapes into a different Nether Portal

Avm Shorts ep.12 - TNT Land: Orange end ups in a new world and is greeted by a white rabbit with red eyes who invites them to dinner. The rabbit tries to kill Orange and the land turns into TNT. Orange escapes back through the portal. The Color Squad attack and defeat the mobs on their base but Red gets pushed off. He lands in the water below.

Avm Shorts ep.13 - The Dolphin Kingdom: YGB jump down to the ocean with Red. They discover a Dolphin Kingdom and are tasked with rescuing the Queen Dolphin from an Elder Guardian. Sec escape TNT Land and jumps through another Nether Portal. They end up in a cave structure. The Color Squad rescue the Queen and are told where the entrance to another Nether portal is. They're chased by drowned into a cave structure. On the other side of the wall is Orange. They reunite and dog-pile on them. RYGB ask them where the portal is and the gang gets lost looking for it.

"9/21/2019" - AvM Shorts ep.14 - Cave Spider Roller Coaster: The Color Gang is wandering through the cave structure. Red, Orange, and Yellow get kidnapped by cave spiders.  Green and Blue rescue them and escape using a minecart. The spiders give chase. Cue epic fight scenes. The Color Gang beat the Queen Spider and escape through the Nether Portal and back onto Alan's desktop. The Nether Portal is immediately destroyed.

-*??? sometime after AvM Shorts ep.14* - Animation vs League of Legends: The Color Gang enter the game League of Legends and play around in there before Purple hacks into the game and cheats to give themself an advantage. They beat them but invites them to play more rounds with the group.

-10/29/2019 - Blue's New Superpower #TeamTrees: Orange has a dream where Blue can turn money into trees. The Color Gang go into a stick figure city selling hot dogs to people and planting trees. Orange wakes up and hijacks Alan's donation to Team Trees, turning the original $5 donation, into $5100.

- 11/9/2019 - Animation vs Super Mario Bros: Orange and the Color Squad fight against the Marios from Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3.

- 2/15/2020 - AvM Shorts ep.15 - Redstone Academy: Yellow teaches the gang redstone and they have a redstone building contest.

- *3/14/2020* - AvM Shorts ep.16 - Note Block Battle: Green vs Red, Yellow, Blue and a musical chicken in a music battle. Orange can't sleep again and beats them all with a sick guitar solo.

- 4/11/2020 - AvM Shorts ep. 17 - Build Battle: Green keeps winning Build Battles until they accidentally create a Wither boss.

- 6/13/2020 - AvM Shorts ep.18 - Texture Pack: Yellow and Red mess with Minecraft's textures and wreck havoc on the rest of their friends.

- 9/6/2020 - AvM Shorts ep.19 - Lucky Blocks: The Stick Gang find a Lucky Block and Yellow hacks into it, giving them the ability to create anything. The Lucky Block fights back and possess the Stick Figures one by one. They beat the Lucky Block and send it back to where it belongs.

- 6/12/2021 - The Nether King Arc (AvM Season 3)

(NOTE: Just like the first Nether Arc, these episodes are consecutive. There is no given date on AvM 20 but a date can be seen via Alexcrafter's desktop in AvM 24 and 25 for 6/12/2021 and in AvM 30 for 6/14/2021. Either date works so I'm going with 6/12/2021.)

AvM Shorts ep. 20 - The Piglin Wars: While preparing food, Blue discovers that they've run out of netherwart. They rebuild the Nether Portal unbeknownst to the rest of the Color Gang and enter into the Nether. There they meet and befriend a Piglin child. A fight breaks out between Blue, the Adult Piglins, and Zombie Piglins, and the child Piglin ends up almost falling into the lava. Blue saves them and as thanks the Piglins show them the way to a Nether Fortress. Blue finds that all the netherwarts are gone but is then lured through a nether portal by "Orange". Meanwhile, the rest of the Color Gang + Reuben have discovered the Nether Portal and venture into the Nether to find Blue. They meet up with the Piglins and are shown the way to the Nether Fortress.

AvM Shorts ep. 21 - The Witch: Blue goes through the portal into a swamp and "Orange" reveals herself to be a witch. The Witch throws a potion and Blue disappears. The CG find the portal and rush through only to find "Blue" standing on the other side. One by One, "Blue" separates the CG and potions them, leaving only Orange and Reuben. Orange discovers "Blue" is the Witch and the Witch drinks a potion and turns invisible. Orange looks for their friends and finds them turned into a llama (Yellow), a salmon (Red), and sugar cane (Green). Together they fight the Witch who turned Blue into a piston to harvest nether wart. The CG get turned into dyes and are saved by a "super powered by potions" Reuben. The Witch gets turned into purple dye and the CG get turned back to normal. They make their way home but seeing Purple picking blue orchids nearby. Purple convinces them to go through another Nether Portal.

AvM Shorts ep. 22 - Parkour: Purple introduces the CG to a Parkour Course and offers a trophy to the one who can beat it first. The CG are stoked and Purple flies off with Reuben to wait at the finish line. Turns out, the Parkour Course is actually a looping trap and Purple is revealed to be working from another stick figure named King. Green is the first one to break free of the course and discovers King and Purple's plan to steal the Minecraft Icon from Alan's Desktop. Green tries to stop Purple from flying off by is captured by King and his Command Block Staff and thrown into a cell next to Reuben. Meanwhile, Orange and Red break out of the Parkour course together and get teleported into a desert, while Yellow and Blue break out and end up in a Bastion but run into a nearby nether portal before they're attacked by Piglin Brutes.

AvM Shorts ep. 23 - Titan Ravager: Yellow and Blue end up in a village and are tasked by it's Villagers to help with a Ravager who keeps eating all their crops. With the use of redstone and farm, they come up with a solution to consistently feed the Ravager which works for a little bit. Until the Ravager comes back with it's family and wrecks the place. King appears and zaps away 2 of the Ravagers with the use of his staff. King invites Yellow and Blue to follow him through a Nether Portal he builds.

"6/12/2021" - AvM Shorts ep. 24 - Lush Caves: Meanwhile, Red and Orange walk through the desert trying to find a way back. An argument breaks out between them and they end up fighting. Their fight takes them into a lush cave system. Entranced by the beauty, the two sticks make amends. At the same time, a Minecraft Player named alexcrafter28 encounters them, and Red and Orange jump through their screen onto their desktop and email themselves back to Alan's desktop. They arrive just in time to see Purple exit out their Nether Portal.
