Sebastian and Ciel have two types of in-universe foils/parallels, Guy becomes some kid’s butler and becomes a better person as a result, and supernatural being gets involved with a human and they make each other so much worse, and that really is the duality of their relationship huh

it was a sebaciel fic about ciel being reincarnated as different people in different periods of time because of some god-like creature who wants him to learn a lesson.

He cannot call for Sebastian by name and the trace of his soul is intentionally hidden from Sebastian who constantly looks for him. Every reincarnation they meet and ciel knows its Sebastian but Sebastian only senses the faint trace of his soul but does not recognise that its him.

I remember there being a girl playing piano, a WWll German nazi location (?) and a hijacked plane in modern times.

If anyone recognised the plot please send me the link I've been searching for it for ages. It may also be in Russian but I am not sure at all.

I love how Ciel loves to bits his servants who (apparently) don't do shit around the house and just destroy his property constantly but hates the dude who genuinely does everything around the manor, and does it spotlessly.

It's understandable with context (because Sebby is an asshole) but immagine:

You get a friend into kuro without explaining much of the plot, just giving some vague trigger warning on the themes and Yana's weird fixation with putting weird ang gross stuff in it, and as your friend reads the first chapter they're like "Why doesn't Ciel just fire these people? They keep Messing up and Sebastian does everything in the end." so you don't say the truth abt their real job bc that's spoiler but you say "Because Ciel and the servants love eachother very very much. They're eachother's blorbos."

And then your friend is like "Bro why is Ciel such a bitch to Sebastian then?" "Oh that's because him and Ciel can't fucking stand eachother." And your friend just stares at you like "???"

This might be really petty, but have we ever had a Black Butler anime adaptation directed by a woman? I've been continuing my season 1 re-watch and some of the sexism that was there in the manga seems amplified, like with Lizzie obviously, but also Meena was written a lot worse, which is saying something, and just the lack of female characters in general. Like it’s really noticeable how many more female characters there are when you read the manga, even if Yana does usually seem more interested in the guys.

All this to say I would really like to see a Black Butler adaptation with a woman behind the helm, based on how many women work on the manga and the readership being majority girls/women. I can’t lie I’m a bit disappointed this season will be directed by a guy, because imo the Weston arc is camp and hilarious because it very much feels like a woman writing teenage boys and idk I just think it would capture that well if the project was lead by a woman.
