Meet Claudia, we found her abandoned at 8wks old, hiding in muddy grass beside the highway near the Port of Brownsville (Texas) industrial area. She's around 9 weeks old and looking for a forever home. Vaccinated and dewormed. Looks like a mini schnauzer, heeler mix, currently ~7lbs.

A gentle and human-focused puppy, great with all animals and kids. Seems like she will be a small-medium size dog with a natural off switch but eager to explore and play. Food motivated. She’s social and is basically down for whatever. She enjoys going to new places, meeting new people & dogs but she doesn’t obsess about them, makes her great for bringing in public. Claudia’s already spent a few days in the classroom with me at the university, just sleeping on a labcoat on the floor. Watching the students work.

UPDATE: she’s been adopted to a really wonderful home!

Today, I bought Dave a bone. He ran to hide it. Cried when he hid it so well he couldn’t find it. I helped him find it and we did it all again (x3).

Vanished for a bit to take care of a WHOLE ASS LITTER of puppies that got dropped off unweaned 🙃 Funny count though, originally 9... 8 boys, 1 girl 🤣🤣🤣 The other two are ok, they just went to the lady who had already bought them before I got the rest.

Here's six of the seven getting some car time in! We didn't go anywhere, just getting everyone used to being in a car before they go home. Or I start taking them into town for training 💙

Bevy, our puppy, is so silly. She enjoys laying on her back to play with her toys. She always has at least two toys with her, sometimes as many as eight toys, during play time.

Hey everyone! I don't usually do anything like this, but I have a puppy that needs some help. Any little bit of help is appreciated even if it is just sharing!

I'm an adoption counselor and a foster for my local Humane Society. Tennley is a terrier mix puppy who is just over 8 weeks old. She is a rescue pup, her mom was a stray and she was born in my care as a foster.

When her litter was old enough to be weaned, they were sent in pairs to new foster home. An unfortunate accident happened in her new foster home that is no one's fault, however it resulted in little Tennley's leg being broken in two places.

Because of the nature of the breaks, it cannot be splinted and allowed to heal on its own and will likely require immediate orthopedic surgery to repair. She has a surgical consult at a specialty vet tomorrow. We are unsure how much it will cost or what the results of the consult will be. If the vet decides she needs surgery, it will likely have to happen right away because she is a growing puppy.

Any help you can offer to cover the potential costs will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much!
