Now the church had always taught me growing up that while he was dead those three days Jesus went down into Hell, or the Outer Darkness, and spent the whole time in a mighty struggle against the spirits of death. Who those spirits were will change depending on who you ask but they pretty well always mean Lucifer and the fallen ones.

This is probably wishful thinking but I reckon Lucifer might have taken pity on Jesus. Maybe even offered him a place to rest. Seeing as he’d been cast down himself and left to rot as far as the Almighty cared, I think Lucifer could be more inclined to kindness than we give him credit for. Yes, god threw him out, but to see how much more cruel god had been to his own son…

I think Lucifer might have lent an ear while Jesus told him that this wasn’t even the end for him. He still had to go back, put that mangled body back together, and leave behind the beings that he was there to save.

After three days, I think Lucifer might have asked Jesus to stay…

Genesis chapter 2

so, god had just made adam from the dirt because men are dirty little freaks and then he made eve out of adam’s rib cage. why? who tf knows, the lord works in mysterious ways. and then he put the two of them in a very pretty garden called eden.

anyway, so adam was trusted with the very very important job of naming everything he saw. so, he named the birds, he named the bugs, and he named everything else that was around back then.

and eve was there to help with the work but not really because she’s just a girl and she shouldn’t be doing all that

the two of them had free will and could do whatever they wanted, the vibes were absolutely amazing in eden. but there was one rule that they could not break or else shit would go down. and that rule was to not eat from the tree in the middle of the garden, that was all.

so, there was this slithery little bitch named lucifer, and he did not fw the good vibes that were happening in the garden. he had beef with god that he was still not over even though he literally lost the war in heaven that went down before the existence of anything. salty ass bitch boy 🙄.

lucifer was gods second in command. he was beautiful, smart, and had the upmost rizz, but he was incredibly narcissistic and thought he was better than everyone in heaven, even god himself.

so, one day he came up with a plan and gathered all his fellow angels, told them what he was gonna do, and half of them followed him in his rebellion but the other half still followed god.

angels have free will, just like us.

long story short, lucifer and his half of the angels lost the war and were bound to earth in own special dimension.

one day eve was just hanging with the animals, having a girls day, maybe getting a mani pedi, when all of a sudden she heard this agitating, grating voice whisper in her ear, “yo, you should highkey eat from the forbidden tree. is all I’m saying”

and like a bitch with no self worth, eve listened to lucifer and ate the fruit from the tree, making her, as the kids say, awake.

did I mean woke? yes, but that’s grammatically incoherent.

then, adam popped up out of nowhere and was like “bitch, did you just eat from the forbidden tree?” and eve was all like “um yeah I did. now eat the fruit and put your dick away”

and like a bitch with no self worth, adam took the fruit from her hand and ate it too, making him also awake.

the two of them were ashamed of themselves. there was no self love influencers back then, so they covered themselves in leaves so they wouldn’t be naked.

god saw this and was like “um that’s not on, Imma need you to leave now. oh, and eve? yeah, because you were the first to eat the fruit you will bleed each month and child birth will be painful af lol”

and so, they left. and as soon as they left as big ass storm came because god was sad and that was basically him weeping for his children.

I had so much fun through the whole process for this one! (Tbh the mane 5 becomin more like semi ocs now) For my version, Pipp is more of an actress/performer who does multiple side gigs and hobbies. Shes basically the city's "angelic sweet girl" since shes known for playing a soft and whimsical persona, often doing her iconic closed in ears and faded voice to give a more innocent look for the public. Her attitude is no different in private but she forces herself to stay too positive even when shes in need of relieving some strong emotions. Im not a fan of Pipp being a stereotypical phone addict in the show so I instead headcannoned her as neurodivergent and needing a distraction everytime or else she gets all panicky when shes doesnt have anything to do, she tends to overshare info, forgets to rest, known to take other's spotlight away and dissociate a lot (especially when reading fan comments) Shes disabled and uses formed cloud wings designed by her sister.

As for her redesign, I made her mane to be more stylish as a way to show her expertise on hairstylin. Her tail and tiara is rose shaped to go with her last name "Petals". And her colour pallete is brownish purple and powdered pink to give her character a more softer feel.

In my ver. Zipp is well known for bein hardworkin and intelligent. Shes not ready to be queen and often "slacks off" with her main royal duties but she organizes and fixes problems happening outside the castle by talking to the staffs. Shes extremely curious and learns a lot of random detailed infos since she was young which ended up makin her become great at managing situations happening in and out the city, which is why her mother is so persistent on makin her the next queen. Zipp is a solutionist and researcher but she only focuses on what catches her interest before goin on the to next. (Ngl all the mane 5 are neurodivergent to me) Because of how determined she is on those interest, shes made several secret places to avoid just doin main work. Her fav studies are chemistry, physics, cosmology, ecology and aeronautics. Shes mysterious to the public eye but her friends know that shes just a bundle of hyperactive mess once she starts discovering smth new. I assume og Zipp is secretly non-binary coded but for my version, shes a transmare and everypony already knows and accepts it.

I gave her a more light pink and blue green mane colour. Her bangs are like sherlock holmes' as to pay homage for zipp bein a detective in the series along with some side braids. I also gave her twilight freckles and tired,soft looking eyes (not only cuz shes a workaholic like Pipp but its also cuz of genetics)

Aight, I was never really a fan for givin the mane cast just one element and the fact that G5 series havent showed any mentions of it just made it seem unimportant. Soo I instead gave them multiple elements that the mane 5 will develop as their journey goes on. Pipp will be the element of Strength, Purity, Assurance, Control, Pride, Value, etc. While Zipp is the element of Curiosity, Determination, Potential, Wonderment, Eagerness, Persistence, etc. (I imagine if twilight would have ever come back from the dead she would most likely write down what their elements would be as she observes the mane 5)

Ah, Ofc!! this will be a long post, because you said 'quick' and i just heard 'explain everything'. just because I don't know HOW to summarise everything, so I just explain what I can... which is too much.

each section will have a TL;DR if it's long, though.

So, the only rewrite I’ve actually, like, done so far is Amaranth (https://archiveofourown.org/works/31310384)

It’s an MCD rewrite, the first one I did, and it’s not **technically** related to my overall rewrite universe, though I’m not going to totally discredit it. It’s where I got a lot of my ideas, and it was sort of a first draft for me. It’s very similar to MCD, just with events changed to how I would have written them myself. Major change is that the Zane/aphmau engagement actually goes somewhere. My favourite change was the Pikoro arc tho for some reason bc it was just my first significant deviation from the original plot.

Now… cannibalism and cult stuff, yeah?

Lycoris Radiata (https://archiveofourown.org/works/50710504) is the only part of this current era of rewrite!Aphverse that has any content so far.

TL;DR for this section: i mostly just emphasised themes present in canon, there's cannibalism for magical reasons, Shad is more relevant early on, and there's a reason why characters look like that when i draw them, i promise. Also, cult stuff!

LR is an MCD rewrite, which has some lore changes. It begins with Avra (Aphmau) travelling with Visher, Garroth being angsty, and so on. Only the prologue and first chapter are currently posted, and you don't need to read Amaranth to begin it (though it will follow similar storylines later on). Basically, the main premise is that it’s kind of a criticism of imperialism, organised religion, and so on. Those are themes already present in original MCD, and so I… expanded. Blood Magic is the main magic focused on as well. It's the kind that Avra uses, and it's the kind that makes SKs function. Avra has to consume blood and meat (typically organ meat, preferably human) in order to have any amount of magic, and depending on what creature the meat comes from, also grants her some fun little magical extras. She also has a strong association with Judgement(Shad) in my rewrite, and there is a reason I draw them so often together. Most character changes you'll see have some lore-based backing for it. Characters who are made darker-skinned, or have had their haircolour changed, it's typically due to them belonging to a particular ethnic group that i made for Ru'Aun or Tu'La, which does impact their characters in the way that they obviously grew up under certain cultures. Sometimes it'll just be because I think it looks cool, or for visual/thematic parallels with another character. If you're ever curious as to knowing why i have certain characters looking the way I do, then just ask. Oh, also, people aren't just loyal to Avra because she's nice. there's like an actual cult thing that begins happening and to say there's some weird shit with that would be... underselling it.

A Royal Tale, and Mermaid Tales both fall into the timeline between LR and the MyS rewrite. they're quite insignificant series, but i decided to devote myself to being a completionist.

My plans for them aren't really set in stone yet, but I know i want to expand upon them and their lore a lot more, and they will eventually both fall into the, uh, cannibalism and murder theme of the rest of the rewrites. they'll likely be little side projects. I have trauma from ART tho. Show makes me *uncomfy*

Mystreet.... yayyyy...

TL;DR: If you let an edgy teenager write MyS but they also watched desperate housewives so they write some sitcom episodes on the side. Also, Avra needs that gross-tasting nailpolish that stops you from chewing on your nails... but like... all over her body.

Basically, MyS except they've always been reincarnations of their MCD (or LR, in this case) selves, with some residual trauma and habits because of that. I'm going to lean more into the darker seasons, even though Ik popular opinion is that the light-hearted ones were the best, and I'll just focus more on lore and stuff. PDH has a 17 year old Avra joining PDH, after being homeschooled for a while due to having some mental health issues. I'm going to go a little more 'general highschool drama' vibes, might have some mystery shit idk. Will be less cringe than canon, because yes, i'm cringe and i'm free, but even i have limits. The more lighthearted seasons might just be amalgamed into one big 'sitcom style' fic, which will be set before S4 and such, but i'll probably make lighthearted chapters between the serious ones. S4, Aphmau's Year, S5, S6 and Her Wish will be my main priority, and will go into the whole murder and cannibalism theme of LR. It'll already have been kind of expanded upon, because MyS!Avra has a bit of a habit of auto-cannibalism (eating the skin around her nails/on her fingers, on the inside of her cheeks and on her lips) which eventually just... goes a little crazy. There is gonna be cult stuff in MyS too, it just might present differently to how it does in LR. Or maybe similarly. Idk, depends on how you view it.

Correct me if I am wrong (APPROPRIATELY THOUGH), but regarding the "Civilian Marinette gets slammed into concrete wall by Monarque to the point where the WALL breaks but somehow Marinette is still fine" in Déflagration, I do remember now that people are bringing it up that back when I read the leaks these two times that Kwamis Choice was described very differently in it.

I guess watch out, 100% outdated leak spoilers or maybe even not entirely correct memories of mine ahead? For this episode you already saw because it aired?

Zoe was Sole Destroyer + Kwami power of destruction (which makes ALOT more sense), Monarque had his own Lucky Charm (which is also something I found sad didn't happen in Canon) but most importantly, I swear to God I believe remembering that the initial Lucky Charm created by Tikki WAS the Ladybug-disguise suit with which Marinette could return into battle even without her Miraculous.

Cause I remember reading what Tikkis lucky charm is and immediately going "yeah that makes sense, that's how Marinette gets into battle" and that definitely wouldn't be the case if it had been a bin. So I do believe the initial Lucky Charm was a suit which is probably the reason why the wall-slamming moment is a thing in the first place.

Initially the magical lucky charm suit probably WAS supposed to be the explanation for why Marinette can endure that as civilian (which in my opinion would have been a perfectly fine explanation, I can work with a magical lucky charm suit) but then at some point Kwamis Choice got a massive rewrite and now we have a couple of awkward leftover elements of the old version that feel off in Canon (like Chloé for some reason getting akumatized into ZOÉ'S akuma form. Switch-arounds like that normally do not happen).

Of course the wall-slamming moment is the worst offender in this regard cause holy SHIT that should have killed civilian Marinette 10 times over! The show is normally pretty consistent with not overpowering civilian characters or making them realistically vulnerable in comparison to the Miraculous Holders ect, so that moment didn't just break every bone in Marinette’s body, it also broke LONG established world building.

I do wonder what caused this massive rewrite though and why old moments like this were still kept despite of not making sense anymore. The initial script also seemed to have been a stronger story, especially Zoe/ Kitty Noire wise.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The cut scene from The City of Tomorrow script, yeah, we've all seen it and screamed and cried about it being cut, but consider: it got cut because Spock has been calling Kirk "Jim" since at least the fourth aired episode. (If not earlier, given the different production dates from the air dates. Honestly, I am now wishing I kept note of any time Spock calls him Jim because it does seem out of character for who Spock is supposed to be--logic, order, no emotions, etc. Why would someone like that use a nickname in place of a ranking title? Or even a last name? Unless there was a reason for it--sick and delirious, inebriated, life-or-death situation, declaring their love for the other character, one of these things is not like the other)

(Yes, this moment lives in my brain. Rent free. Coming out parallel, love declaration if used in any other circumstance with any other characters, etc.)

Granted, Spock is under the influence of an inhibition-lowering virus (which. Huh. Without inhibitions, he'll call his Captain not by his full, proper first name--James--but by the nickname? Something designated for close friends and informal settings? VERY INTERESTING, MR. SPOCK. What's the logical explanation for that, Mr. Spock??) but he has continued to call Kirk "Jim" in other episodes after The Naked Time, without the excuse of a virus or extreme life-or-death situations as a reason. Maybe it's nitpicking (or extreme coping on my part lol), but if the lead-in to this scene was Spock calling Kirk "Jim" for the first time, then how do you put that emphasis there (and everything such an exchange would imply because wow that means Something, not just due to rank but who Spock is) when it has been done again and again--casually! With no specific circumstances to justify it!--throughout the whole season, you know? Especially when the Hayes Code was still in effect and any blatant suggestion of same-sex attraction, much less romance, was prohibited? (Because obviously, Spirk still got past the censors or fandom as we know it wouldn't exist.)

Top five things you would fix first in warriors? (Doing a rewrite, need ideas that aren't just "fix ableism" "more culture" and "fix redemptions")

hmm....that's difficult. usually i go arc by arc to ""fix"" things (i hesitate to say fix because most of my changes, i don't see as better, but just more appealing what i would like from the series). i've never really tried to write a full on rewrite (looks guiltily at my fallen stars blog) so idk how good my advice would be from a practical standpoint lol there are just some stuff that i look when i occasionally do my little indulgent fanfic binges. so i guess keeping it broad:

Establish the parameters of your rewrite. How close do you want to stay to canon? Is this leaning more into au than rewrite? While there are some scenes that definitely could be ripped apart and made into something new, what scenes could you stick by but reframe into something different? Something that sticks to the thematic tones of your rewrite?

Themes!! Consistent themes are good. Change is a big one a lot of fics hit. Are you looking to improve clan life or change it? do you want the clans to show they can change and exist or do you want them to be a tragedy of their own making? doomed to cycle in violence or even destroy one another? obviously you don't need to hit your reader on the head with these, but I think factoring them into plotlines can help the brainstorming process.

cutting, combining, or figuring out uses for characters. The wc cast is HUGE and a lot of the side characters get the short end of the stick in terms of consistent characterization and spotlight. Very simple changes like combing Longtail and Dustpelt could prevent a bloated cast, but also utilizing both in unique ways can make your rewrite world far more vibrant and alive. While sometimes original characters can get the job done, trying see what characters you could work with first before adding in another character to such a massive cast.

This goes for worldbuilding to! Worldbuilding is....generally gonna vary from person to person. I prefer worldbuilding that uses the canon material instead of making up new gods or legends, but it's up to you! Just be warned, rewrites and fanfics have the advantage of already having an audience invested by the fact they know the characters and lore of the world. Original stuff doesn't when you add it in, and it can be a huge hit or miss. While staying close to canon when making stuff up can work, you'll face a bit more trouble investing your reader when you add completely new stuff. Not saying it's impossible, it's just something you need to remember when adding it in and make sure that it functions in a way it can help further absorb the reader into the world and not make them feel more distanced from it. like original characters, remember that original stuff doesn't have the same level as familiarity to it as existing canon characters; you're asking a reader to invest themselves from scratch.

Make it gay as fuck make it so you like what you're writing. i really enjoy seeing passion and enjoyment in people's works, and you should make decisions that make you invested in your rewrite and happy with it. it's gonna vary from person to person but if a heavy religious setting is something you enjoy, write it, if you want that crack ship to be canon, write it. a bit of self-indulgent writing never killed anyone, especially when this is fan rewrites. rewrites should be fun above all!

and those are my top five. idk how useful they are to you but i hope i gave you some answers to think about :D

someday i want to do an academic paper on the way christians simply lie about what the hebrew and greek texts of the bible say. it would make me crazy so i do not really want to but at the same time,

this is just blatantly factually inaccurate, or best case scenario hideously misguided. for one thing, i'm currently writing about usage of 'ahav' in the hebrew bible and using software to pull all usages of the term, i come out with about 115 instances. i've seen other published works talk about a range of 120 to 135; based on my own experience, that seems reasonable. the only thing i can think of to explain the discrepancies in these numbers are that this mf may have just ctrl+f'd "love" (noun) and not found any instances of "loves, loved, beloved" (verb/adj forms of the same word).

if you're going to be antisemitic in your theology ('the old testament god is not loving, not like our christ!' is one of the older tricks in that particular book.) you could at least be accurate about what's in your new jesus book. because:

the claim that 'ahava appears twice as many times in the new testament' is idiotically factually inaccurate. do you know why.

if you guessed 'could it be because THE NEW TESTAMENT WAS NOT WRITTEN IN HEBREW, therefore HEBREW WORDS NEVER APPEAR,' you would be a winner!!!
