Post-Game Rune Factory 5 Headcanons

When Hina’s old enough to take on more adult responsibilities at the general store, Lucy (who was working there prior) goes to work at the bathhouse instead and improves the spa side of things with the knowledge Simone taught her about medicine.

After Beatrice decides to live in Rigbarth permanently, she asks Randolph and Yuki to let her work at the bakery. Priscilla (who was working there prior) happily lets Beatrice take the job so she can pursue her own dream.

Priscilla’s dream is to start a library/used book store that also carries some cute notebooks and stationary supplies. Building it right next to the bakery, she uses her organizational skills to recommend great books for everyone, but her favorites are still romance books (same as Beatrice, a frequent visitor and donor). Priscilla is successful enough that she needs a part-time employee.

Cecil decides it’s time for him to start a side job and begins working at the library as the self-appointed mystery book expert. When the front desk is slow and there isn’t much to shelve, he works on research for Terry’s detective agency.

It seems a little silly to compare Arthur and Beatrice's character arcs when they're inherently different stories, but I find it fascinating that whereas Arthur's marriage event dealt more with the emotional and social consequences of being born into the royal family, Beatrice's final love event had more focus on the actual politics and responsibilities that come with being a legitimate heir to the throne.

Rune Factory 5 Bachelorettes! ♥

*RF5 SPOILERS BELOW*

One of my favorite RF5 events is where all the women (is there a men equivalent? I only play as female characters whenever possible) are in the plaza and they talk about their ideal dates. It’s sweet but mostly hilarious because we get the following gems:

Lucy just wants to date someone she can challenge to a fishing contest and call pet names, then win at said fishing contest and have her lover compliment how hot she is (absolute MOOD)

Beatrice wants eternal love (awww 🥰) and she also wants her lover’s mom to be gone so she can have her expensive, rare wedding ring (wtf Beatrice)

Scarlett has me in stitches because her whole plan for a date is very orderly and she and her lover address each other like colleagues I can’t even 💀she literally says “You arrived on the dot. I appreciate your punctuality. Now then, let’s begin our date” and then she treats it like a tour guide (she’s my second favorite girl FOR A REASON) SHE LITERALLY IMAGINES HER LOVER SAYING “understood” like SCARLETT 😭 and has a FIFTEEN MINUTE STROLL OF LEISURE PLANNED (I’d totally date her)

Ludmila wants to cook for her lover! Awesome! Then she wants her lover to eat her out! 💀💀 Also awesome! (How did this get past the censors with an E10 rating?)

Priscilla wants to see a shooting star and make a wish for her and her lover to be together forever! And she wants someone to look out for her 😭 That’s just adorable and wholesome 🥰😭

Fuuka is pretty similar to Lucy in the way she wants her lover to compliment her but she wants her abilities complimented. Her date’s pretty fun and cute, she wants to play games all day with her lover! (I will say, cute as it is, I do feel weird with it because it feels like she’s a child or a pet. Neither of which she is.) But I love her!

So that is one of my favorite events, and I love RF5 and the RF5 bachelorettes!!!

18. Which character is the most feral?

Thanks for the ask! This was a fun question that actually made me think about everybody.

I know most folks would assume Fuuka because of, well… *gestures vaguely* but hear me out.

Feral isn’t just a synonym for wild — it’s a domestic thing that has become wild. And that is a completely different thing than something that has always been wild. For people, that would mean someone who grew up in a rigid environment moving into a free one.

Fuuka started out as a wild thing, but she’s learning how to reign in her impulses and adapt to the local culture because that’s what she wants to do. So really, she’s the opposite of feral — a happily adopted stray.

For characters in-game, the best example of someone who actually becomes “feral” would be Beatrice. She learns so much from the people of Rigbarth, and really becomes a new person, especially if you follow her through her romance arc (which tbh really didn’t need to end in marriage. I could see that entire plot line working just as well from a platonic standpoint since it is pretty important to the nation’s politics, but I digress). She learns to lose formality, be silly, and express her feelings without shame.

If this Ask includes fics, then I think Ari actually epitomizes a feral gremlin even more. Not gonna go into their backstory here because spoilers, but suffice to say, they’re a VERY different person now than they were pre-amnesia, and they’re thriving in their new environment.

RF5 girls with a S/O who has anxiety

Hi there! I am back with another RF5 post, this time with the bachelorettes! I hope you like it!

Priscilla

- Oh, she knows the feeling all too well...so she would try to help her partner with the things she usually does: breathing exercises and calming herbal tea

- She would give them a blanket, but only cuddle with them if requested

- All in all, she'd really pamper them and answer any request they might have

Lucy

- Lucy believes more in prevention measures, so it doesn't even come to an anxiety attack

- This means she'd encourage her partner to regularly exercise, eat well and try to shift their mindset to a more positive one; if they take medication, she will make sure they take them, even if it means getting up at 2am and bothering her partner until they get up and take it

- Still, these prevention measures don't always work because anxiety is just like that, so if it comes down to her s/o getting anxious at some point, she would instruct them on breathing exercises she picked up from Priscilla or try to distract them somehow; whether that means sitting at a pond and fishing or going for a walk/run

Beatrice

- She probably has experience with anxiety, being a princess on a secret mission and all, so she would try to calm her s/o with very gentle measures

- First of all, she'd tell them comforting things, rub their back, make sure they're alright and get them into a comfortable position

- Then she would light scented candles (or if the flame makes her partner anxious, just give an unlighted one to smell), if this isn't the first time, she probably stocked up on candles in her partner's favorite scent: lavender, vanilla, a mix of different citrus fruits, you name it; she'll get whatever scent they prefer, no matter how obscure it is (if they have no idea what they would like, she does a smell test with them to find out which ones they'd prefer), if it's a really specific thing they like, she might try to make it herself

- Then she would put on some relaxing music, probably classical, and either start to dance and offer her partner to join, or sit down with them and press some flowers/fill a scrapbook together; she has lots of different scrapbook materials from her travels with Reinhard, so she wants to put them to good use - making her partner happy

Scarlett

- When it comes to her partner, Scarlett can be very gentle and caring - even if she might not know how to show it

- So when she notices her partner's anxiety, she would not take control of the situation; she'd offer things to do about it and give them a choice (so *they* have the control), but she wouldn't force them to do anything in fear of doing something that might worsen it - something that has happened to her before while she was dealing with her own anxiety (she probably takes medication for it now)

- Things she would offer would be: braiding or playing with her hair (she has a secret box of hair accessories), her s/o writing down their thoughts in a calming journaling session (maybe while they sit on her lap and she plays with their hair) or going cloudwatching/stargazing

Fuuka

- Fuuka can sense incoming anxiety pretty early, so she would try to cuddle with her partner before it can get any worse

- She's very physical about it and would try to crawl on their lap to give them some weight on their body to ground with; she'd let them touch her behind her ears and play with her hair and tail

- If it does get worse however and the anxiety fully sets in, she would caress their cheeks, give them forehead and cheek kisses, hold their hands and so on; Fuuka is very forward with these things, but she would get her partner to a safe and more quiet space first if they need it - PDA might not be the best in that kind of situation after all

Ludmila

- She knows all about it - breathing exercises, physical sensations, distractions - so she would do whatever they need to calm down; if she learns about the anxiety beforehand, she will ask about every little thing she can and can't do if the situation arises; she wants to make sure they know she's a safe person and can help them deal with it

- If her partner is up for it, she would take them to a flower field and relax there; touching all the flowers and their leaves, feeling the wind run through their fingers, embrace Ludmila in the middle of this natural beauty while she says comforting things...it would truly feel like paradise to them

- Ludmila doesn't mind how much time they spend there; as long as her s/o can relax and breathe freely again, that's all that matters to her
