Synthesizer – as 60 minutes audiocassette

Blue synthesizer. Blue as sky. Blue as the sea. Blue as the sea stone. As album by Candice Night SeaGlass. As, I imagine, it with my imagination. Excellent midi keyboard. Well, this is not synthesizer, actually. And this is midi keyboard.

And, I have one more midi keyboard - near my computer keyboard. Akai professional lpk25. It has a size like computer keyboard. And I try with this with computer program LMMS. Plugins different. So, just to try it. I need to learn how to play. To have idea - to use this cool things with normal way.

Also, I have a synthesizer from 70s. Even more, looks like, it works, as I see for the first check. I checked it. It is so huge. And, buttons are possible to press. Different modes to switch. Well, now, it is about this level. This is a present, surprise for myself. When, I learn how to play. So, I will play the specific synthesizer. With its own unique sound. True retro. 70s or 80s.

And, main instrument – it is blue magical midi keyboard Axel Vox 49J. And, I learn using this. Now, it is 60 minutes a week. Well, for keyboards – it is small, few. Feature of keyboards – that, you need to play with two hands. It is complicated for the brain. And, I am only something like a month ago or one and half or two months ago – start to do this combination in my mind. And, I play with two hands. This is my main achievement here.

I play scales. One item. Chords to this scale. Separately left and right hands. And chords I learn by themselves. Main chords. It is also standalone thing. Right and left hands. And compositions by textbook – I play with two hands, already. To the music with joy. My textbook has this name. There are children`s songs there. I like them too a lot. When I learn it – I will sing and play them with a great joy!

For some songs there is lyrics. I sometimes speak the lyrics. Not sing. And simply speak words. It is, also, some preparation moment. And, as idea, some rhythm for Eurodance, maybe, it is, also, possible to play one hand with doing in a cycle. Main – do it with rhythm. Well, simple one. It is, also, a step. And, of course, main play - with two hands, and, this is my main thing for now. I start to get it! Rhythm 80. I play with it.

Synthesizer - it is huge thing. It, also, has effects and modes. And, if to connect with computer – so, it is, infinity of possibilities, you will receive. But, now, I am only learning. And, I play with no connected midi keyboard. Music - it is rhythm, it is notes. And skills.

So, this is musical compare. 60 minutes – it is, maybe, side of audiocassette. They should to be, like these models. As idea.

#htf #happy tree friends #htf nutty #Ok ok I know it’s not that serious and it’s just supposed to be a collection of random notes to imply music #But lemme be a nerd for a minute ok!!#okay so firstly none of those aren’t like. Technically real notes??#I looked it up and apparently they are considered tremolo eighth notes #which is basically where you rapidly switch between two notes next to each other on the scale #So in reality it’s a modification to a normal eighth note which normally has the little circle filled in #Also!! All these notes are eighth notes! The double one is just two eighth notes tied together #The direction of the stem on the notes doesn’t matter although they’re only drawn on the left when the note is on the upper half of the sta #and even then they point downward instead of upward #so technically the first four notes are backwards #anyways so there’s five eighth notes in this sequence. Each eighth note equals half a beat #(yeah the naming convention is a lil funky to none music folks. The notes are named after how much they take up a 4 beat measure)#(a whole note is 4 beats so one eighth of 4 is 1/2)#anyways so that means this musical sequence equals 2.5 beats #Measures don’t tend to be mixed numbers or fractions #so to actually play this rhythm you would need to slot a half rest somewhere #and that’s not even mentioning how this sequence isn’t even accurate to the actual sound in the final episode #which makes sense the boards were probably done before the sound editing took place and the little tune in the final is much nicer sounding #Than what this sequence would’ve sounded like played #Going off of ear I thiiiink what’s played in the final is a quarter note followed by a sixteenth note run #Followed by another quarter note???#idk I’m not an expert I’ve just been playing a clarinet for school band stuff since like. 4th grade lol #im not even that good at it but I still do marching band anyway #anyways thanks for coming to music class/Odie overanalyzes a series of notes that weren’t supposed to mean anythin

"We deserve a good story before we get too fuckin' pissed to walk straight," Johnny whined.

"Couldn't walk straight even if we held your 'and while sober, MacTavish. I got one, but mnot gonna repeat it after this. Got it?" Ghost stared at Gaz and Soap who gave him a mock salute before leaning on closer to their lieutenant.

"Couple years into the start of 141, was just me n' Price, you and Gaz hadn’t even been born yet- We got sent to some base in Colorado...Colorado or somewhere around there. It doesn't matter. We were doing some glorified hide and seek for a training exercise. Easy enough, good at hidin'." Ghost paused, taking another sip of his glass of whiskey.

"People forget to look up. Holed myself up in some sturdy tree, held my weight, and kept me out of sight. Probably too well. Had groups of hunting parties pass me looking for others.

"Still, no one ever looked up. Got a few good hours of peace and fucking quiet up there. Even had a book with me. Dime novel or some shit I picked outta the trash. It was nice for a shit training exercise. Until the sun started setting, that's when more of the nocturnal beasts came out.

"So color me surprised when a half-decent buck bursts out of the bush and slams head-first into my tree. Horns don't stick, doesn't care, it backs up and does the same thing. Over and over. I've seen heads splatter, I've done the splattering. I don't understand what it was trying to do because it kept going until brain matter splattered against the tree and an eyeball popped under the pressure.

"Then it stopped. Not stopped 'cause it died, not just stopped and stood there before sniffing the ground. I had been holding my breath the whole time. Don't know why, everything told me this was wrong and that I needed to shut up and stay still. But eventually, it stopped sniffin' and twisted its damn fucking broken neck to look up. It was quiet but clear, not like anything else was moving anymore not even the wind, and whispered "I know you're there", then ran off.

“I stayed in that tree the whole night. Pissed myself too. Didn't care. I wasn't coming down or moving unless someone or thing dragged me down. They found me there in the morning. Thought I froze to death.

"They had to get Price to get me to come down from my spot. Wouldn't say a word to them, which didn't help my situation. They thought I was 'avin an 'episode', went crazy during the training event, and killed something or maybe even someone from the mess they found around my tree. Who was going to believe that I watched the deer do it to itself? So I kept quiet as Price and the others escorted me back to base. Never found it. But no one ever said anything about it seeing as how I was clean of blood."

Gaz and Soap turned to their Captain, eyes weary and expectant. Price huffed, shaking his head. "Yeah, I remember. We had searched for this twat almost all night before some private found'em. He thought it was weird, the tree, and looked up to investigate and came face to face with Ghost's blank stare under his hard plate skull mask. We had two sets of pissed pants after that. When Ghost wouldn't talk about why his hiding place was a fucking mess of bone and meat he had mandatory psych evals for the next month."

Oh, on the subject of things in this book that are driving me crazy: people keep bringing up how Adolin could totally be a radiant if he made certain changes (read: if he got rid of Maya, someone he thought of as a friend and tried to treat with respect even before he found out she was alive) and he just keeps having absolutely none of it. He's a one spren man, even if that spren is a somewhat off-putting zombie who nobody else wants to give a second thought.

man I love looking up people from old norse sagas on wikipedia. there are always such gems to be found either in their names or in the descriptions. you'll just look up Torv-Einar Ragnvaldsson and find the sentence 'han var enøyd og stygg å se til, men han var mer skarpsynt enn andre folk' ('he was one-eyed and ugly to behold, but he was more sharp-sighted than other people'). like what a way to sum up a whole dude

#the language of the sagas often gets sort of preserved in modern norwegian scholarship on the period in a delightful way #it's such a distinctive way of wielding words and often really striking and memorable. and also frequently really funny #in a way not dissimilar to action film one-liners or the absurdism of deliberate understatement #it's hard to capture in the english translation; it's something about the rhythm of the language and word choices that is so satisfying #torv-einar seems like a fascinating dude honestly. first real scandinavian jarl of orkney. basically told by his dad #that as far as he was concerned him leaving the country was a matter of the sooner the better b/c he'd never amount to anything #(because his mother's side of the family had always been thralls. like oKAY there ragnvald mørejarl who the fuck had kids with her then)#was the guy to get revenge for their dad anyway when delicate blood feud politics had seen him burned to death in his own hall.#kind of vagueposted about his brother turning a blind eye to the fathermurder thing (b/c harald hårfagre smoothed his feathers #with titles and land afterwards) by writing a poem and now his brother is known as tore teiande (silent tore) to posterity #I'm not sure he seemed like a happy person but frankly these guys don't seem to have ever expected to be haha #the norse worldview seems to be such an anxious and fatalistic one in a very interesting way #shit it's på norsk

Transitioning from reading only fanfic for over a year and now diving head-first into a re-read of Rhythm of War is like going from reading tabloids to a damn encyclopedia.
