this year they netted just $911.

not 9,110,000, not 911,000, just 911.

another stupidly complicated trip from boston to new york begins!! i begin at green street to get the orange line

the RIPTA is the worst bus system i've ever had the displeasure of riding. i arrived at the stop 5 minutes early and the bus never showed. was it early? it's never fucking early. i've now been waiting for 20 minutes to catch the next bus, which is scheduled to get here in 1 minute. let's count how many minutes late this one will be.

the best part of working night shift is that after a certain point, the majority of my customers are other night shift workers and a lot of them are regulars

(the bartender who comes in for a roast beef grinder every night after closing down the bar, the same group of er nurses who order wraps, the same few last-shift ripta bus drivers)

They all say Asians, women, and Rhode Islanders are bad at driving. In conclusion, because I fall into all three categories, I'm fucked. Oh and there are no better options because walkers and bikers are constantly in danger of bad drivers, while RIPTA and the T are working together to give us hell.

i think it's pretty awesome how all public transport is free actually, it's like really nice of them how you can just not pay if you don't feel like it or can't afford it

The fact that Amtrak can get me from Providence to Boston faster than RIPTA can get me across the city if Providence is kinda sad.
