This drabble is part of my summer celebration collection! Prompt: Pool Characters featured: Zoro (One Piece), 2nd person GN Reader Requested by: @rivvd-art [a/n]: The final one is here! Closing off with possibly the longest drabble I have written for this collection, it's not even an actual drabble anymore, already ficlet leaning. It's also technically the 22nd of September, but not yet everywhere in the world, so I am still counting this as done within the deadline. Enjoy!

It was a rare moment where you didn’t have to keep your guard up on an island. No marines, no enemies. It was a day off, of sorts, and you and your fellow strawhats were enjoying it by a pool. Sanji was serving cocktails and snacks, Robin was reading a book, floating on a pool air mattress, Luffy and Usopp had found some water pistols… and you? You were currently trying to convince your boyfriend that sure, there was some peace and quiet, but there were better things to do right now than napping in a new location. 

You had had a playful moment where he threatened to toss you in the pool if you kept pestering him, and you had dared him to do so, thinking that if you could get him to stand up to toss you, you might as well try to get him to swim a little with you. He couldn’t really sleep anyway, with Luffy accidentally (or not?) spraying him down with his water gun twice already. 

You didn’t really think he was serious about tossing you either, it was a little quib, a way to keep talking to you and in his special way, spend time with you even though he pretended that a nap was superior to your company at the moment. That was, until he actually stood up, swiftly picking you up in his arms, so smoothly and so fast that you barely had time to register what happened. You immediately tried clinging onto his neck, but to little avail. 

Once he reached the poolside, he lifted you a little more with ease, changing form for the ultimate toss. What he didn’t take into account was that you would grab onto his shirt in a kneejerk reaction, a slight panic overtaking even though you knew that Zoro would never let you get hurt in any way. And what he also didn’t take into account, was that his water gun soaked shirt, much like other fabrics, wasn’t really prone to ripping when wet. The strength with which he tossed you and the fact that he didn’t really see your reaction coming, combined into a beautiful chain reaction of him losing his balance and toppling over, following you into the pool with a loud splash. 

You laughed loudly, both at the toss and the chain reaction that followed. 

“See? You should’ve just joined me the normal way.” He only grumbled something in response, looking a little angry, but you knew him better than that. You could see the small smile playing on his lips. “And ehm, it’s actually quite nice that you join me like that. You’d win a wet t-shirt contest immediately.”

☾ - sleep headcanon

Zoro: This man would probably defeat the god of sleep in a sleeping contest. He is always sleeping deeply, and it's a trouble getting him to wake up. Relies on his Observation Haki to wake him up if he gets in trouble's way.

He can and will sleep pretty much everywhere, uneven wooden floor, soft and comfortable mattress, you name it. He mostly sleeps in normal positions, with his hand tucked under his head for support. Doesn't matter if he's on his back or side.

Oh did I mention he prefers sleeping fully clothed? Might take off his shirt in rare occasions, but otherwise he prefers staying covered. Not big on cuddling either.

Ace: He has Narcolepsy. It does get in his way of doing things most of the time, but he has built his life around it. When these happen, he simply goes limp, and will wake up only on his own accord.

But when he does sleep on his own will, oh boy, he's a big baby. Will cuddle anything in his vicinity, be it a pillow, a blanket, a human. But he does sleep light and get a lot of dreams. Sometimes wakes up to find burnt blankets strewn around him.

He's the type of guy to sleep in weird positions. Half of the time he's hanging off his bed and will wake up with a headache or sore limb. If not that, he's taking up all the space with his limbs spread wide open. Or he's curved the wrong way like a crescent moon, you get it. (And Marco has tried to help him not get whacky joints but Ace never listens)

Law: Oh our poor sleep deprived doctor :''(. He hardly sleeps because he's always trying to study about new things, keep an eye out towards the safety of his crewmates, and his always persistent nightmares. Am I writing angst here? yes.

He only sleeps when he knows the situation permits. Like, actual full sleep. Not little naps. He will sleep in his room, all alone and very secure. Sleeps completely naked and curled up in a fetal position.

Would generally cling onto a pillow for comfort. And when he wakes up it looks as if he just came back from a duel. Also a light sleeper and can subconsciously use Observation haki. Sometimes hopes he had a person to comfort him while he sleeps, but has trust issues. Would probably ask Bepo to stay with him if he thinks his nightmares will get too bad that day.

ൠ - random headcanon : What kind of a father will they be?

Family headcanons lets go xP Also I'm gonna rate them on how much I'd recommend them being a father.

Zoro: Is going to be an absent father. Also extremely insecure. Let's just say he's a very unplanned guy too. He's going to take a long time accepting that he has a massive responsibility and needs to put in work. Needs a lot of talk from the other parent and from his friends. Look, I don't blame him, he has some sort of.... thing going on with his own parents, which even we don't know of.

4 / 10 ; could go for it, but prepare to take risks

Ace: Was he protective of his partner before? OH he's going to become, so, so much more protective. He had a bad father, and he's going to do everything he can to make sure his child gets the best dad (s) ever. (But he'd need help from his partner to know what he's supposed to do next) Will always make sure his partner is not getting too stressed, will always be by their side. He's also going to need some support for himself, which he'd seek from his friends. Maybe would get reminded of some unpleasant stuff. But hey! Atleast he's putting in effort to be responsible.

8 / 10 ; -2 because he's probably very unplanned too

Law: This guy. Where do I start. He had two amazing father figures in life (his actual one and Roci) so he knows what he needs to do. Also? He's a guy known for being strategy and plan oriented. So he's going to make sure that all the parents are emotionally, physically and financially capable. Also he's a doctor! What else do you need?

10 / 10 ; Maybe I'm biased.

♙:Sharing a bed

It was another one of those loud and busy nights aboard the Thousand Sunny. There was cause to celebrate and so food and alcohol were flowing. Music was being played, people were shouting more than they were singing. All in all, everyone was having a good time.

You spent the evening interacting with all the crew members, whether it was for a chat or just to act silly for a couple of minutes. The only person you had avoided being Zoro.

Ever since you had realised your feelings for him were more than just friendly, you had a hard time approaching him. Not that you suddenly ignored him, you could still be courteous of course. But your usual proximity and closeness suddenly felt like too much. You did not want for Zoro to misunderstand the situation and still act the same because to him it was friendly behaviour but not to you.

As the night was slowly coming to an end, you made your way to your cabin, only to find the man you had been avoiding all night sitting by the door.

With a chuckle you asked: "What are you doing here?"

Not obtaining a response, you opened the door to your cabin. As you were about to enter, Zoro suddenly asked back: "Why are you avoiding me?"

You froze. You knew you couldn't lie to him. You rattled your brain trying to find the best way to formulate your feelings, without outright confessing to him.

"I-", you started. "I'm not sure we can be friends any longer. At least for now."

Zoro sighed, standing up. Rubbing his temples he declared: "You're such a pain in the ass sometimes, Y/N."

"Thanks," you said, laughing bitterly, even though you knew he had every right to say that after what you told him.

"How oblivious do you think I am exactly?"

His question took you aback once more. You couldn't help but avoid his gaze.

"I think I know why you've been avoiding me. And I just want to let you know I don't care... Or rather, I don't mind."

You looked back at him. Even in the dim light, you could perceive the slightest blush on his cheeks.

"What now then?" you asked, unsure.

After a pause, Zoro answered: "I think it's time to go sleep."

You nodded

"Would you," you started without thinking, "... like to sleep here? With me?"

Zoro smiled at you and followed you inside your cabin.

Without exchanging another word, you swiftly got in bed.

You maybe fell asleep on opposite sides of the mattress that night, but when you woke up, it was in Zoro's arms.

Thatch - One minute he’s listening to you sing along with him in the kitchen. - Just enjoying your voice, how it mingles with his. - Then you drop a jar, and it shatters on the floor. - Thatch is about to tell you it’s okay, he’s not mad. - The amount of foul words that come out of your mouth but in that sweet tone that was singing to him moments ago? - He gasps, a hand over his mouth as he stares at you. - If he was wearing pearls, he would have clutched those too.

Ace - He’s just chilling with you, sitting, and having a beer after a long day of duties. - As he’s sipping his beer, minding his own business, listening to you talk about your day. - You talk about one of your crewmates that you aren’t fond of. - Without even changing gear, your tone remaining the same you tell Ace exactly how you feel about said person. - In an attempt not to spray you with beer and spittle he ends up snort laughing, beer shooting out his nose as he laughs in disbelief. - “Whaaaaat? Say that again please?” he might have misheard you. - No, no he hadn’t. - He can’t stop grinning like an idiot.

Law - He listens to you talking one night, you are just having a casual rant about someone who annoyed you. - He doesn’t mind listening, says venting and getting feelings out is a lot better than keeping it in, look at him after all. - But when you start your slew of graphic insults and depictions of what you would like to do with the person who annoyed you. - His eyebrows both raise, and he looks at you. - “Well, tell me how you really feel.” He chuckles and decides he likes this side of you. - Something charming about such a nice voice saying ‘I will fucking murder that son of a bitch’

Sabo - Sabo is just minding his own business when you are walking next to him talking. - You’re both chatting back and forth about the mission you’d just returned from. - It hadn’t gone great and you’d messed up a few things. - Sabo tried his best to reassure you it wasn’t as big a deal as you were making out. - That was when he heard your polite and silky voice spit out some very colourful words. - He blinks, laughs, and joins you. - People hear both of you, your nice voices spitting out words that made much older and experienced members of the RA wince and cringe at. - Everyone decided you and Sabo were both nuts.

It was such a nice butt.

You let out a dramatic sigh, falling against the mast of the ship. It was every goddamn day you had to look at that pert and cute ass. What you wouldn’t give to have him remove his trousers instead of his shirt for a change.

“Enjoying the view?”

You don’t even bother to hide your blatant staring. Everyone on the crew has noticed except him.

“It’s like it got even more firm while we were apart.” You glance up at Nami, “I don’t even know how that’s possible.”

The navigator shrugs, “I like my butts with a little less Zoro attached to it.”

You roll your eyes and shift your focus back to the swordsman, who is truly trying to kill you with those squats he’s doing, “Yeah, well not all of us can fall in love with a princess’s butts.” You tease.

Nami clams up, even after all this time still so shy around the topic of the Alabasta Princess, awkwardly rubbing the back of her neck, “Well have fun with your oogling, we’re docking soon.” And runs off before you can say anything else.

The two years apart have changed all of you. And you were so proud to see each of your crew members grow into a stronger version of themselves. But god, did he really have to come back looking like that?

You must be more desperate than you thought you were, having barely gotten a taste of him before the others arrived at Sabaody.

“I see the island!” Luffy screams, so excited to be making landfall at his first island in the New World, not even waiting for the Sunny to lay anchor before launching himself onto the beach.

“Get back here!” Nami yells, chasing after Luffy, whereas Sanji is chasing after Nami, and so on and so forth with the rest of the crew.

“Staying behind?” Robin pauses at the ship exit.

You shrug with a smile, “Someone’s gotta watch the Sunny.”

“Right.” She gives you a knowing smile, before descending with the rest.

The crew make their way towards the town that’s a little ways away. Glancing over your shoulder, you notice Zoro has disappeared from the deck, leaving behind the weights he was using.

A quick scan of the area and you feel comfortable leaving the deck to make your way down to the men’s quarters. The sound of running water echoes up the staircase with the door is cracked, steam spilling into the hallway.

Smiling to yourself, you kick off your shoes while pulling your shirt over your head and leaving your pants in a pile at the entrance.

He’s turned away from you which gives you a generous view of the naked ass that’s been filling your thoughts. Sweat and condensation mixing on his back to form little droplets that you would give anything to lick off.

Sneaking closer, you’re sure he knows you’re there, but it doesn’t stop you from sinking your fingers into the round globes you’ve been drooling after all morning.

Zoro peaks out from behind the towel he’s scrubbing his face with, eyeing your wide grin, “What?”

You hum in appreciation, letting your fingers massage the firm muscles, “I just love this ass.”

Zoro grunts, used to your fawning over specific parts of his body even if he doesn’t quite understand where the obsession comes from each time. First it was his arms, and then his thighs, and the brief neck phase, not to mention his rough and calloused hands. But who could blame you? It was hard to pick a favorite when all of it was just too delectable.

He ignores your whines of protest that follow when he steps away and submerges himself under the water in the tub.

Cracking an eye, he sees you’re standing there with that pout on your face. He sighs, moving forward to make room behind him. Your attitude does a one eighty and you happily settle in the water, arms wrapping around his torso with your face smushed into his back.

Zoro can feel his cheeks heat up when your lips start pressing kisses along his shoulder blades, still unused to accepting your easy affection.

Your hands run up and down the sides of his thighs, “Seriously though,” You mumble into his back, fingers dancing under his legs and back to the main attraction, “I’m gonna fuck this ass one day.” Emphasizing with a harsh squeeze.

Zoro chokes on air, momentarily trying to pull away but you reel him back in with your legs wrapped around his waist, “Don’t worry, you’ll like it.” There’s a teasing glint in your voice while he grumbles under his breath.

Reaching to the side you grab the sponge and start to lather his back, “Have a good work out?” Zoro grunts, which you understand as a yes, in tuned with his communication style, “You ever think of doing it naked?” Your hands move over his shoulders and start scrubbing at his chest.

“I’m sure the cook would just love that.”

You grin at his tone, “I know I would.” You press a kiss to his neck, tapping his arm for him to outstretch so you can work the sponge along his bulging muscles.

A comfortable silence overtakes the room while you continue to wash every inch of him, and maybe some areas a second and third time.

Zoro has his head pillowed on your shoulder with his eyes closed, chest moving up and down with deep breaths. Your hand slips over his pectorals. You’ve never taken the time to truly admire them since you’re always getting a view with how often his shirt is discarded.

But now that they’re here right in front of you with water gleaning on the skin? You purse your lips, fingers trailing underneath and back up to cup the flesh. Have they always been this heavy in your hand? They might even be firmer than his ass.

“I think I’m clean.” Zoro interrupts your thoughts. You smile, knowing you’ve been caught red handed with your fondling, but not embarrassed in the least, “Everyone go into town?”

You hum an affirmative, fingers still dancing along his chest and slowly working their way to his stomach.

“So, it’s just us?” Zoro turns his head and meets your stare, an eyebrow raised and smirk on his lips. You return his look with a coy smile that only widens when he stands from the tub.

Your hand instinctively reaches out and gives a firm slap to his ass, and he just looks over his shoulder with an unimpressed gaze, “You coming or what?”

Settling back against the tub, you sink into the water, “I’ll catch up.” Eyes fixated on his backside, “I want to enjoy the view.”

turning onto your back to face him, you saw his eye heavy with lust as he leered into you. his lips contorted into a wolfish grin, as he patiently awaited his signal to go in for the kill. the silver light that seeped through the room, casting dark shadows over his sharp features, making him appear almost demonic. he must have been with the way he was possessing your body right then, sparks of hellfire beginning to light within you.

zoro couldn’t keep his hands off you as they crept along the side of your frame snaking around you waist to press you firm into his needy sex like a beast in heat.

Laying your head against the man’s shoulder, you watched him as he reeled in the fishing line, making a noise of content when the fish he was trying to get got away with the bait. Placing another live worm on the hook, he threw the line back in, waiting for the fish to come back for seconds. 

Raising your head to look at the moss-headed man, you let out a laugh as his nose scrunched up in irritation. Reaching out, you couldn’t stop the urge that overtook you as you poked his nose softly, a soft “Boop” leaving your lips as your finger moved away. 

Blinking with his good eye, the man eyed you with furrowed brows, confusion sparkling in his dark hue. “What the hell was that for?”

Giving him a grin, you leaned up, this time kissing his nose as he let out a small grunt. “It was for good luck, since this fish is obviously kicking your ass.”

“Oi, this fish is dinner, so shut it.” Blushing at your actions, he turned back to the task at hand, more determined to catch the fish now than before. ‘It ain’t kicking my ass, alright?”

Nodding, you leaned back in your spot, getting comfortable once more as the line tugged a bit on the man’s arm. Smirking, he baited the tricky fish as a game of cat and mouse began. After a few more seconds, he reeled the line in completely as water splashed out from the lake. The cursed fish was finally captured.

“See? I told you it was good luck.”

Zoro Drunk

Walking over to your now drunk lover, you sat on his lap as he continued to drink from the almost empty bottle of run. “Isn’t that your tenth bottle?” Concern raked through you, but Zoro only shrugged, gasping for air as he sat the bottle down.

“It’s not that bad, I’ve drank more before.” Rubbing his face clean on the sleeve of his shirt, you sighed in annoyance, but knew deep down the man was right, it wasn’t the worst thing he did. Reaching up to him, you ruffled his soft locks, a bit dirty from him working out earlier that day. 

Hearing the man hum in approval of your touches, his good eye closing along with the other, you took the opportunity to poke his nose. 

Opening his eye, he looked down at you, as you had now looked away innocently, playing with his empty bottle as if you were bored. “What was that?”

“What was what?” Giving him the best confused look you could give him, the two of you had a staring match before he looked away. “I felt something poke my nose.”

Shrugging your shoulders you went back to playing with the bottle. “Maybe it was your imagination, you are pretty drunk after all.” As if taking your words to consideration, he stared on in thought. 

“Maybe it was that damned cook-”

Ace

- The first time you hold hands he’s very awkward about it, stammering and flexing his fingers.

- It’s such a soft intimacy that he’s not used to, it’s hard for him to accept he’s loved and wanted for more than his body.

- “Ace, we’ve literally… ya know.” You say with a chuckle but stop when you see the embarrassed look on his face like he’s annoyed and ashamed of himself for not being able to do something that others find so easy.

- “Ace, it’s alright, I love you.” You smile as you offer him your hand.

- He reaches out, taking your hand, his breath hitches when you lace your fingers together with his, just holding it tightly.

- This felt nice, warm, soft, he felt more connected with you than any time you…. Yeah.

- Ace decides he likes it a lot, he still has issues initiating the contact.

- He’ll link his pinky with yours when he’s uncertain of the moment, of himself.

- Always glad when you take the hint and hold his hand.

Marco

- He likes holding hands, like, a lot.

- You guys are just going to breakfast? He’ll hold your hand on the way.

- When you’re cuddled up in bed, he likes to have his arms around you, you close to his chest and a hand holding yours as he buries his face against your neck making happy sounds.

- If you are working across from him he’ll wordlessly stretch out his arm and wait for you to take the hint before holding his hand.

- He doesn’t let you shake him off, once your fingers are intertwined that’s it, you’re his.

- He finds a lot of comfort in the gesture.

- Sometimes Marco can be a little too clingy and you have to shake him loose sometimes which causes the phoenix to pout slightly.

- You have to promise him he can have your hand back once you’ve finished dinner.

Thatch

- Thatch loves holding your hand.

- You will be standing there, and he’ll just appear and say something cheesy like “You dropped something, let me help you, Pumpkin.” He says as he lifts your hand in his own, a wide grin on his face as you roll your hands.

- Thatch will watch you work, see how busy you are and be upset he doesn’t get to hold your hand, so he slips it into your pocket as a compromise.

- He loves your hands are smaller than his, he enjoys placing both of yours in just one of his, feeling how soft and small they are.

- Thatch loves to bring your hand to his lips, laying kisses all over them.

Izou

- It’s not like he’s against holding hands.

- No, he likes it, but his pride doesn’t allow for him to be the one to seek it out.

- If you make the first move? If you reach for his? He’ll tut and act like it’s an inconvenience for him but really? He likes to hold your hand in his.

- He’s not as into PDA as other people but he will hold your hand.

- You need to read his mood though, sometimes he’s too busy and wants to have both his hands free at a moment’s notice.

- He won’t ever be rude about it though.

- When it’s just you and him, sitting in his room and just relaxing?

- He might… just might reach over… and take your hand in his.
