Letting The Dam Break WIP

This is a wip from my Gale and Ayz (Ayla) fic. The romance in act two really made me sad cause if you choose to be with him and not "bond the way the gods do" it fades to black and there was so much that could have happened for that scene. But I suppose they did that on purpose so we could take artistic liberty in what could happen.

TW: self-deprecation (ish. Idk what else to tag. Lemme know if I missed something)

I wrote all this in about an hour. I was really in my poetic feels. I don't often write like this or have shared anything at this length for many years but I hope you enjoy my wip ♥️

Her fingers tickle down his chest, running through his body hair as if wanting to capture his body to memory. Ayla pauses at his stomach, gently kissing and squeezing his love handles. She rubs her nose below his navel and Gale lets out a shaky breath, his gulp audible enough to grab her attention. 

"My Darling?" Her attention goes to his face as she holds herself over him. 

His eyes clamp shut as the wave of vulnerability overwhelms him to tears. Tears he won't shed—he will not shed. Not in front of her. She will leave him if he shows his heart. The weak fragility of a man whose only purpose was his gifts to the world. 

"Gale." She strokes his cheek and Gale lets out a whimper, shaking his head, body so tense, holding onto every fibre of his being just so the dam won't break. 

He wanted it to be perfect. To make love in the way gods do. But she wanted him. Only him and his weak fragile body. He would never be worthy of her.

They had only managed to shed their night clothes but even in his undergarments, Gale felt naked as a newborn. Every flaw on display, all his scars for her to see. 

Her soft lips touched his forehead, kissing the worry from between his brows. “Gale, look at me.” He harshly shakes his head. He can feel it. The walls are breaking. The walls are breaking and the dam will give way to the flood. “Please.” 

Her gentle voice is like a prod to his soul. His heart is on his sleeve and it's hers to handle. His eyes flutter open and he's met with her beautiful face and honey-brown eyes. “My darling, do you know how beautiful you are?”

“Apparently” the “full photo” of withered foxy got “leaked” but honestly the photo looks SO weird.

Like the proportions look crazy off and the image is so low quality and flat compared to the zoomed in tease that I’m willing to believe this is a very good photoshop leak attempt
