Hi, yes, hello, got dragged here by a friend (you know who you are…) so I decided to post my current working design for prism, who- as you can see- I am very normal about

charlie is pretty interesting for this question, honestly. i don't really know how he'd react to the robots, himself... he seems like the kind of guy to be grounded enough in reality to find himself a little freaked out about the lifelike-ness of them all. purely from a utilitarian angle, though, i think he would be pretty intrigued by them. he would find them interesting, just... from a distance.

i think if robutler ever met charlie, he would find his flamethrower very cool. he feels like the cool older brother of your friend who you want to be when you grow up, if that makes any sense... except throw in the fact that said older brother is pretty creeped out by you, and that you have no idea how to tell when someone is creeped out by you.

hivemind, on the other hand, would be absolutely enamored by them. i think he would ask prism dozens of questions about how they operate; and while at first i think she would be obligated- excited, even- to show her tech off to him, she would progressively get more and more... uncomfortable the further his questioning continued. yes, hivemind, they would do whatever she told them... no, it only applies to her. but they take commands well, yes... she's going to go now.

robutler... probably wouldn't find much amiss with hivemind, really. if only because i think he would enjoy the attention. in a similar manner to the fabricator, he just likes being the center of attention and doted on. and hivemind just has the sweetest things to say about him. what a hard worker he is. such a bright and obedient thing. and so polite, too... the little guy is just so well be(e)haved.

Ieytd au where the robot at the end of the credits of 3 becomes Phoenix's partner.

They are like Hank Anderson and Connor from DBH to me. Guy who is good at their job but traumatized and needs a friend meets robo partner who doesn't know how to human and is quirky and caring but also weighed down by some indescribable thing called emotions

The robot thinks they are siblings bc Prism created Phoenix, too. Which means Phoenix is their last living sibling, considering all the rest were caught in the explosions and the backups are gone.

Phoenix is hesitant to work with one of the robots they were fighting against and they don't realize the genuine demeanor and naive computer bby charm were getting to them until someone treats the robot like crap and they go full feral on that jerkwad.

Prism is in the Agency's walls bc you can't convince me she wouldn't do anything to watch her kiddos creations getting along.

thoughts about prism/fabricator and such. i always kinda thought that prism wouldn't be so interested in this kind of arrangement, reasoning and logic say she doesn't have anything to gain (at first)... but in the same way that she accepted the agreement with Zoraxis where she's desperate enough to prove a point, she's fueled by her desire to find a meaningful relationship here. even if fabby's only into her because she's so similar to solaris.

i think they'd be the type to come to an agreement with this arrangement. Surely their emotions will stay disconnected and professional. Surely they won't develop the longer they get closer to one another. Surely

Iknow you talked about them meeting before, but i wanna know more about how solaris or fabby feels about the bobots.. Either or, whichever one you wanna write for :3c

i don't think she would have met any of them other than robutler, but i think fabby would have gelled pretty well with any of the robots she met. i think she would think he was cute (though mainly in the same way someone thinks an animal is cute... i think it took her a bit of time to wrap her mind around the fact that they're actually alive alive). honestly the fact that he's got a little bowtie would be enough to win her over from the start, if the way she dresses up ZC-07 is any indication.

i do think robutler (and all the other robots, for that matter) would find her quite cool. i think- before cold shoulder- they kind of idolized zor as the one to make prism's dreams reality... meaning that anyone close to zor would probably be Only Slightly Less Cool than zor themself. fabby called him "[prism's] darling little valet" once and he always giggled and puffed up all flustered proud when he remembers.

at some point, i like to think fabby floated the concept of prism adding a poison module to her robots, but she quickly rejected the concept. sure, they wouldn't get poisoned, obviously- they're metal- but she wouldn't be able to guarantee her own safety... not to mention, that early in their relationship, it was harder for prism to trust fabby to begin with (ultimately, for good reason...)

solaris... was a bit different. the death engine was the most lethal invention zoraxis ever weaponized against the agency, so of course prism knew a lot about her- and of course robutler picked up a lot of that information from her. still, it was a bit... strange to meet the solaris in person. she was just as scary looking as he thought she would be, but not really scary that aside. imposingly tall, yes, but... exhausted, and quiet, and cold, and not really all too impressive for one of zoraxis' most lethal engineers.

solaris tended to keep out of prism's way, more often than not. no reason to get attached to someone who's just going to die (and depending on if zor decides to give her clearance, she may be the one helping to build her death trap). but even beyond that, she wants little to do with the agency; that includes ex-agency faculty. it puts a sour taste in her mouth.

i like to think post ieytd3- if solaris and prism ever came into contact and made an uneasy alliance with each other- she'd be more willing to give right robot a chance... however, i think prism's haphazard method of upgrading her robots would damn near give her a hernia. as well as the precariously placed and horribly ventilated laser systems. i mean christ, prism- what were you thinking?? putting a laser DIRECTLY in front of HEAT SENSITIVE kinesium?!

i don't think solaris would be opposed to giving right robot the occasional upgrade... but i do think she would be... weirded out that she would probably have to do them while he's 'awake'. there's something very... invasive about rummaging through a robot's guts while its staring at you and asking you questions.

i wasn't going to include this originally but writing that last paragraph made me remember this thing from like. october of last year so i'm including it too

Favorite of Prism's robots out of all the ones we meet?

this is such a good question, its so hard to choose, from robutler, to left and right(who well i based my blog name after) and they each are just interesting in their own specific way

MECH SOLARIS i need to design her big mech .. already posted the second to last in another doodle dump but oh well ..

in my interpretation, Zor is human th like the handler and Roxana but never show their true self.. at least now now Juniper and Fabby are humanoid while, solaris, hivemind and Phoenix are creatures !
