I’ve been chipping away at a bunch of WIPs lately and I got a little burnt out for a bit, but I finally finished the updated reference for my rollerblade racer Tess! :D Much like Nahra, she’s a character I’ve had for a while (since around 2015 I think) but I only drew her periodically and thus didn’t give her the full reference treatment like I usually do for my characters nowadays. I’m glad I could give her an update now though, and a first look at her animal form as well! I had a vague idea for it for a while but this is the first time I've officially drawn it.

I'm really excited, I bought a new pair of rollerblades today, they should be here in the next week 🥰🥰🥰

My old Rollerblade Lightnings that I bought secondhand from a friend have been creaking in the right boot recently, chocked it up to my bearings going out after some googling, decided it'd be more cost effective to get a whole new pair than just some wheels and bearings for some retro blades.

I settled on the new 2024 Rollerblade brand Lightnings, they look SO MUCH like my current pair, black and pink but with white wheels and a pink frame this time round 🤩 ooh they're gonna look so SLICK! They've got 90 mm wheels so I'm excited for the size upgrade!

Did some light research before settling on a pair and it's like the universe knew I'd be needing a new set of blades, I saw other urban skates I was semi interested in, but once I came across these I KNEW.

I hope they get here once the rain stops though, we've got a solid week of it and I wanna use them fresh out the box the day they arrive 🤩 I'm not getting these bearings wet quite yet 😂😂

Honestly wish we could get an episode of House MD from the POV of the rest of the hospital staff. Part of the episode would be very normal, straight forward medicine - and then you see the fellows streaming past the camera screaming MORE MICE BITES or some wild shit as their patient codes for the fourth time that morning. You just know the diagnostic team is infamous in the hospital
