Okay, this is just a question for potential stories way off in the future after SOTH. Would anyone be interested in a ROTTMNT fan fiction centering around the whole triceraton arc? It would kind of follow the 2012 events, but it’s a bit different. I already have the first couple scenes written out.

There’s also another story centering around Leo not making it out of the Prison Dimension, but that one needs a lot of work. There’s a lot more written for that one though. I will say I’m more interested in the former storyline, so no matter the response I might just choose on my own. But I would like feedback because this is something I’ve been pondering for a good minute.

really confused about the relationship between the bad future and the present of the rottmnt movie??

So Leo changes the past- does that mean that the future doesn’t happen? It seems like so, but I remember Leo disproving Donnie and asking if He made a new timeline-thing. So is there a desolate alternate universe floating around, with Turtle ninpo ghosts? Or is that erased?? Very confused. If anyone with a working brain can explain or clear something up I’d deeply appreciate it!

I noticed something with Splinter/ Lou Jitsu. In the episode where he, Mikey, and Beary Draxum are going through the Hidden City, Splinter is giving them a tour. This in itself kind of confused me because the only places we know he visited before his sewer days was the Battle Nexus and Draxum’s lab (correct me if I’m wrong). We see him again, newly mutated with the turtle tots on what seems to be the nyc streets (can’t find a screenshot to verify so, again, please correct me if I’m wrong). So why was Splinter giving them a tour?

Also, in the same episode, Splinter tells Mike and Beary about some places where he would eat and get his haircut in the hidden city. Um, sir? When was this going on? What was the timeline?

Was Lou just roaming the hidden city for a little bit? Am I missing important information? Is any of it related to that key thing from the first episode?

Inquiring minds want to know (it’s me, I’m inquiring minds).

Three questions about ROTTMNT

(These are questions I've had for a while. I mean no offense I'm just confused)

Why does everyone dipict future Leo as not having access to his mystic powers? There's nothing wrong with it but in the scrapped opening scene for the movie we see that future Leo still has access to his mystic Powers and he is show using them. The excuse that krang took them doesn't work because Mikey has his and we never hear about how or why Leo wouldn't have his. Was this officially explained?

When the turtles unlock their nimpo in the s2 finale they take on the appearance that they they are show to have in the movie. The colored part of their designs are changed to black except for the masks(I like to call it their mystic designs). However in the final shot in the show where leo is made the leader they are shown to have gone back to the designs they had before unlocking their powers. So why do the turtles appear back in their mystic designs in the movie when they are shown to gone back to original designs in the s2 finale?

Why does no one talk about or reference Splinter's mystic abilities. In the season 2 finale splinter unlocks his nimpo. So why doesn't he use it in the movie? Also does April still have her nimpo or did she loose access to it when Kari left her body?

What are some of your favorite character relationships/dynamics in TMNT, and why? Is there anything that you particularly like seeing explored with them in fan works (art, writing, comics, etc)?

Oooh! What a fun, fun, fun question! Let's see...I absolutely love and always will love the dynamic between Raphael and Leonardo. All throughout any TMNT storyline you see them butt heads and argue. I think that most of their arguments stem from both wanting to protect their family, except they have very different opinions on how to do so, thus making them clash often.

In most iterations, Raphael is basically the silent protector who's willing to jump into trouble in order to protect and shield his family. this is especially shown i think in the 2012 series where Raphael says that he has no problem risking his own life but he can't handle the pressure of giving orders that puts his brothers lives at risk. The 2018 version is different and similar in this. Raphael was the oldest brother and considered it his responsibility to look after his brothers, yet through parts of the series we see him crack under that pressure and usually default to smashing.

Leonardo is usually the one who takes on the burden of leading his brothers. He's a perfectionist by nature. This is especially seen in both the 2003 version and the 2012 version. But he's always trying his best when it comes to leading and ninja training. He has tons of doubts about his skills and he is deeply afraid of failing his brothers.

I had a really hard time getting attached to the ROTTMNT version because of the differences in characters, especially in Leo. I was shocked to see this arrogant, immature, smart mouthed instead of the responsible and level headed character I'm used to. Buuut overtime I've come to ADORE rise Leonardo and I realized there's something deeper in him than what is shown in face value. It's spotted a bit in several episodes but the insecurity, self doubt, and perfectioism is still there.

To sum it up: Both leo and raph seek to protect their family. Their conflict is based on what they think is the best way to do that. Since they have different opinions and perspectives they argue often. But in the end they always resolve their differences and see where the other is coming from. Leonardo is most definitely my favorite character, has been since I was a kid. I looked up to him!

I also love the relationship between Donnie and April in the rise version! Their bestie! Its so cute!

Okay. This is getting long so I'll be faster. Lol. In fan works I love angst with comfort usually. And I love it when people go deeper into the conflict between rise raph and rise leo, especially with the whole leadership situation. I would love, love, love to see that expanded more on. I also love stories of Leonardos insecurities behind the mask he wears. Really I love any leo centric fic.

The way most turtles actually fit into their shells is because their arms and legs are shaped to fit into the loose skin around the openings for their limbs, but on account of their human proportions, I just suspend my disbelief as to how mutant turtles could fit in their shells without the odd configuration to their organs that real turtles have. Real turtles have flat lungs that sit widely along their carapace, which is weird but cool. Turtles shed their scutes (the large flat scales on their shells and plastron) about once a year or if the scutes are damaged. The scutes have barely any skin between them and the bone, which is why turtle skeletons usually have the scutes on still, though they can pop off. The rest of the skin sheds regularly though, instead of in large patches.

For the brothers’, their respiration is much more human than turtle. Therefore, their lungs need to expand and contract with their diaphragm rather than just with their movement, so therefore they must have some flexibility to their chest. Some turtles, like box turtles, already have hinged plastrons, and softshell shells are mostly cartilage, so it’s not too far off to assume that there’s a bit of cartilage just to the upper plastral bones of the hard shelled brothers to give their humanoid lungs room to breathe.

Poor Leo. After the movie, one could assume he’s got a couple broken bones. It kind of made me morbidly curious as to how to describe injuries on a character whose skeletal structure is quite different from a human’s for my own writing!
