I make tutorials and readmes as part of my work. I used to do a lot more free bonus tutorials than I do now because I am very burnt out. Part of the burnout comes from years of:

I "master" a difficult workflow (successfully make one or more products with it)

I make the most careful and detailed video tutorial I can. Surely my autism will benefit humanity in this way, I think to myself. Job well done

A person contacts me to ask how to do the thing

I helpfully link the tutorial

They explain that they already "watched" it

I ask which part is giving them trouble

They say their project doesn't work in a way indicating they did not perform one or more necessary steps

From their subsequent phrasing I gradually realize they watched minutes 1-4 and skipped around rapidly through the rest, thus missing vital information

They have now decided to make this my problem

I explain what they missed and fantasize about booting them into the sun Looney Tunes style

I was minding my business, reading the news paper and enjoying the humorous article on mortgage rates in my local area when in comes my son! This is normal, as it's not like I lock him inside, but he seemed extra vigorous today.

When I blinked the spots out of my eyes, I ran out to the living room and couldn't help but notice a series of home invaders with backwards hats, paddings, what were almost insectiod in nature were accosting my boy with skateboards.

Luckily, like any fine gentleman, I was armed with my Nine Iron and made quick work of the little buggers. They proceeded to explode and throw some oddly shaped candy everywhere.

After adjusting my suit, my son hugged me tight, handed me a business card with your information, and asked me to ask you I quote" What the fuck is going on?"

I denounce the language used in this inquiry, but endorse it's spirit.

I'm updating the user manuals at my job and I've been testing them on my non-technical coworkers. And I've got a question for anyone who wants to answer.

Fellas, how do I get the user to read the fucking manual?

I'm an idiot, I used my sound card modified to use a YM2612. Still though, that doesn't explain why the sound was like a fucking GBA, It should've used FM Synthesis.

Oh that. The game defaults to 8-bit soundfiles if you dumben down your gaming device enough, ensure compatibility with some simpler things people run the game on. Gameboys, abacii, the Stonehenge…

You could have easily fixed that in the Settings, there is a rollout menu in Sounds, and simply select your preferred soundset rather than by leaving it on default.
