The rune factory iceberg is finally complete, 8 layers, I don't know how many enteries, and a lot of rf facts.
Tumblr media
I will (hopefully) he explaining all of the layers, I don't have any way to do it in a video form so I'll just reblog this post a good few times to explain the enteries.
Thank you to the Rund factory Fandom site, it helped a lot as well as @forestofbeginnings I didn't contact them directly but their many posts helped me a lot as well.
If you want to know a explanation for a entry, just ask in the replies, tags, dms or just ask me anonymously.

TROS TRAILER BREAKDOWN
Here’s a collection of thoughts/things I noticed in the Rise of Skywalker trailer.
Tumblr media
We open with Rey ‘Jedi’ training, with the helmet and droid thingo which is a callback to Luke’s training with Obi-Wan: “Stretch out with your feelings!”. But since she’s dropped the helmet, looks like she’s surpassed what Obi-Wan taught Luke, or the training droid has gone crazy.
Tumblr media
This visually parallels the Force cracking the ground between Kylo and Rey on Starkiller Base at the end of TFA. Also Rey has the ‘red string of fate’ tied around her right-hand (which we also saw in the teaser, see below), so this is likely the same sequence of ‘Jedi’ training with Leia in the forest. ALSO related to the ‘string of fate’, there’s a damn rope there in shot running across the valley.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cool shot, it brings to mind when we were first introduced to Rey, scavenging a Star Destroyer on Jakku in TFA. I’m certain this is the Death Star ruins, because she does have her bag on her, which we know she brings with her to the ruins from the teaser footage (see below), and that also explains why she’s wet!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Those last 2 shots are from the first teaser trailer] Note: Rey, Poe and Finn all have bags, and Poe has an injured his arm and has wrapped his scarf around the wound.
Tumblr media
Poe is making a speech to the Resistance, and note he has his left arm injury properly bandaged now (the wrappings are white).
Tumblr media
Here’s a shot of the Resistance in a ship or hanger, and they look under attack as blaster fire shoots in the background. Most Resistance folks are running away, but (Dominic Monaghan), Connix, and Rose aren’t retreating but looking on at something horrible unfolding. Rose keeps moving towards what’s upsetting her (probs Finn being hurt less be honest), and it kind of looks like Dominic is calling “Rose” to get her attention and convince her to retreat to safety like everyone else. Also note that the orbaks riders are already there with the Resistance.
Tumblr media
Here’s Finn, Poe, and Chewy and it looks like they’re in the same forest that Rey’s training in, so this is probably the Resistance’s new “headquarters/base”. Note that Poe has his injured arm wrapped up in his neck scarf he wore on Pasaana, so he hasn’t given his Resistance speech yet, and both Poe and Finn have their saddle bags.
Tumblr media
She is one angry bean! Also, note no bag.
Tumblr media
Kylo/Ben’s Darcy moment. #imdead
Tumblr media
He looks SO sad and serious approaching her.
Tumblr media
He flips his lightsaber up and over slowly, so that the ‘blade’ is facing away from Rey, which to me looks like a “I don’t want to fight you” move.
Tumblr media
I have no idea what this iceberg floating in space is, but its visually EPIC. Note there’s some kind of ‘factory’ on the top left hand part, that is producing steam from lots of pipes. And there’s also some form of ~buildings~ underneath it too with steam also, but on the underside of the berg the structures are made up of cube forms. Is this perhaps where Palpatine’s headquarters is, secretly hidden in the Outer Rim?
Tumblr media
Here is Palpatine’s throne, which has the newly created ‘Sith’ symbol on the back of the chair. Also note that there is blue flashing lightning happening in the background of this scene.
Tumblr media
Here are an Imperial Star Destroyer powering up and rising from the icy cold water. Is this on the ice-berg?? This explains where the Imperial fleet came from that we saw in the teaser trailer. There is also blue flashing lightning happening in the background of this too.
Tumblr media
I don’t read/view any other SW materials besides the films, so I don’t recognise any these ships except the Falcon but this is obviously the Resistance’s fleet ready and assembled to fight Palpatine’s Imperial Fleet/The First Order.
Tumblr media
This is Rey in her bloat/ship going on solo to the Death Star ruins.
Tumblr media
Note Rey’s look of concern/disbelief in the background, at what Babu Frik is doing to C-3PO’s memories/system.
Tumblr media
That looks like a droid or person in shiny armour on the right, that captures BB-8′s and Dio’s attention in Babu Frik’s workshop.
Tumblr media
So the gang is in Babu Frik’s workshop all wearing big ass jackets, and Zorii Bliss is there so this obviously take’s place on Kijimi. And Poe is still wearing his scarf, which likely means that they haven’t visited Pasaana yet and he hasn’t been injured yet.
Tumblr media
They cut to this shot, bit this is not Babu Frik’s workshop, this is likely at the Resistance base as you can see the Resistance members in the background are in their beige uniforms, and those rebels/resistance green map/screens are visible too.
Tumblr media
Same with this shot, it’s not the same scene as the workshop. Poe isn’t wearing his scarf and jacket.
Tumblr media
Finn, Poe and Chewie are on board a First Order ship. Note the lighting panels look very similar to the ones in the Empire magazine photo of Kylo in the FO hanger (see below). Poe does not have an injured arm, and both him and Poe have their saddle bags on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On Pasaana, during the speeder chase, BB-8 cuts into a cylinder of something that leaks yellow dangerous stuff. Also I think Chewie is in the background, so BB-8 is on his speeder.
Tumblr media
Rey is then seen throwing it at the following Storm Troopers that are trailing her on another speeder, and the two Jet Troopers in the air.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile on the other speeder, Finn C-3PO and Poe seem to be having a successful time against the Troopers. Note Poe is wearing his scarf, Finn has his saddle bag on, and C-3PO seems okay he’s cheering like Finn.
Tumblr media
This ship that is shooting at the First Order X-Wings and Star Destroyer looks very much like the Resistance Y-Wing seen in the lego that has the characters of Poe and Zorii, so one of them could be piloting this.
Tumblr media
Here we see an epic shot of BB-8, Finn, and Jannah leading her people on their orbaks on the side of ... a Star Destroyer?? Note the blue lightning happening in the background and the Imperial Fleet in the sky behind them.
Tumblr media
This is the Emperor’s throne room in the Death Star ruins, so this happens likely before their watery fight outside. Rey still looks pretty angry, with her saber lit, but Kylo/Ben is giving super patient vibes with no saber lit. HE WANTS TO SORT THIS SHIT OUT.
Tumblr media
Here’s Finn, with Jannah behind him on the similar Death Star ruins we’ve seen Rey and Kylo fighting on. Looks like Finn is yelling “REY!!!!”, maybe he’s watching their fight ensue. Or maybe she’s being captured again, mirroring TFA. He’s still got his bag on.
Tumblr media
Here’s Rey and Kylo destroying (on purpose or accident?) the stand that holds the charred Vader mask. Note Rey has a dagger in her left hand, and it looks to me like Kylo is reaching out with the force for the Vader mask with his left hand. Are the fighting over it, or both wanting to destroy it?
Tumblr media
Here Finn and Poe and C-3PO all look very serious, Poe has his gun out. We can assume this is Pasaana because of he’s wearing his scarf, and the cave’s colour/texture looks very much like the rocky formations of Pasaana (see below). The blue light cast over Finn on the left is likely coming from Rey’s lightsaber. This looks to be from the same scene as the image that was shown at D23 (see below). Also Rey, Finn, and Poe all have their bags on them!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here we get a true sense of how big this epic last star “war” really is. Again there’s more blue lightning in the background. (I don’t understand the science behind how the resistance members are breathing right now, maybe the ships are very low and still within a planet’s atmosphere?) Also I’m not a ship guru, but are they riding on a FO ship? What ever ship it is, it seems to be an ally ship, as not in the same formation as Palps’ Imperial fleet.
Tumblr media
Cue more trademark Palpatine blue lightning flashes. Ben looks SO cut up. He’s also very dirty which reminds me of this D23 photo of him (see below) where he also looks pretty miserable. He definitely looks like he’s stepping up to face something epic (probably Palpatine or Dark Rey) to help save Rey/the day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we get Rey facing Palpatine, and he seems to be in an apparatus that is keeping him alive/helping him hover/stand/whatever he’s doing while he’s intimidating her. She looks so smol. There’s some runes carved on the floor. Also, there’s more blue lightning happening.
Tumblr media
Then lastly, we get this shot of Rey, with more blue lightning action. This shot is a little eerie, with the lightsaber reflecting in her iris making her look almost like an AI robot. But then faintly she smiles and it seems genuine.

Expedition Outposts
So, something I noticed about Sgt. Winter’s expedition outposts. Y’know, the places that have the red buildings, ziplines, and planes. Well, I noticed that the majority of them are actually in locations where Kevin’s Runes were.
There is the one on the center mountain next to what was the main Rune location, one between the two mountains just south of the Rune by Pleasant Park, the one in Lazy Links with a zipline directly too the Rune location north of Leaky/Loot Lake, the one just above the factories at the iceberg which is the closest to the Fatal Fields Rune, the one north of Retail Row and next to Lonely Lodge which would be connected to the Wailing Woods Rune, and the one in the desert, which may not seem like it’s connected, but do remember where Kevin came into existence. He popped up in the desert, fairly close to where the one outpost is.
I’m not saying Sgt. Winter is here to investigate Kevin and that whole situation, but I am saying it’s a wee bit coincidental for them to plant their expedition outposts so close to the key areas in past Seasons.

The DGC Anime, Part 1
So let’s figure out what DGC would be like as an anime.
(Cut because it’s PRETTY LONG)
Basics:
The theme/opener would be a narration (think Avatar: The Last Airbender) explaining how the Sundering happened and the Patryns and Sartan hate each other. As each world is mentioned, you see  images associated with them.
Arianus: a dragon-ship, the Kicksey-winsey, and maybe the High Realms?
Pryan: lots of greenery (with a dragon or two blending into the background), the citadels, a tytan
Abarrach: a corpse that doesn’t look like a corpse (so it’s fresh) but has a creepy phantasm behind it (also you can’t see the Sartan hair, so I guess it’s bald?), the Fire Sea, Kairn Necros
Chelestra: an iceberg with… something… inside it… and the iceberg gets a little smaller each episode until all you see are red red eyes…. Surunan, maybe just a shot of the ocean?
Nexus: spires and pretty forests and stuff
Labyrinth: the River of Anger, the Final Gate, lots and lots of bones (possibly being gnawed on by horrifying monsters)
Vortex: idk, a big room, I guess?
*****
Someone would have to figure out Sartan and Patryn runes so that the spells make sense. I do not envy this person.
*****
Character designs are important. Each world and race has a slightly different style. I like to think that Patryns in the Labyrinth wear things like furs, leathers, and low-quality cloth in colors that help them blend into the background. Geg fashion is inspired by the 1800s and early 1900s, aka the Age of the Factory. The Kenkari need to look like butterflies. Humans on Chelestra can be kind of Polynesian-inspired.
Haplo: It’s apparently traditional to garb the hero/protagonist in red and blue, so let’s start him out in a very dark navy shirt and the most blend-in-everywhere brown pants imaginable. And bandages, of course. As the series progresses, he gets to wear lighter blues and maybe a bit of red. If he stays in an elemental world a long time, he keeps his basic color scheme but starts dressing like a human of that place to better blend in… until he gives up pretending he’s not a Patryn, that is. (It would be kind of funny to give him a trace of jailbird orange because he ends up in so many prisons, but I somehow can’t really imagine him in something like that.)
Alfred: He canonically has a pretty dumb, fancy outfit, but I can work with that. It’s purple, but the shirt beneath his coat is off-white. White is the color most associated with the Sartan, but Alfred is a bit, well, off for a Sartan (Zifnab might have a different shade of off-white in his design too). As the series progresses, he loses his frills and stuff so that he looks a bit more influenced by Sartan and/or Patryn styles. Also, it is very important to me that his eyes are the exact same shade of blue as rune-magic/Patryn tattoos to symbolize that 1) he has rune-magic, 2) is in fact obscenely powerful, and 3) has an affinity with the Patryns.
Hugh: Does not wear black because that’s the Kir color. He could also potentially wear dark blue at first because he’s the decoy protagonist. After his resurrection, maybe he could wear very dark purple to symbolize how Alfred has negatively affected him.
Bane: He needs to look nothing at all like the king and queen.
Marit: In flashbacks, she and Haplo wear typical Patryn garb. In the present, she’s kept the colors and general style, but the quality of her clothes is nicer. Less fur, more fabric. Practical hairstyle. I know it’s long on the one canon picture we have of her (though you could argue that cover art isn’t particularly canon), but maybe short or just shoulder-length? Also weapons.
*****
There are only six seasons. We skip over Elven Star almost entirely. On Abarrach, when Alfred asks Haplo if he found any Sartan on Pryan, Haplo gives like a three-sentence summary of important things we need to know, adds that it was awful and Alfred should be glad he didn’t have to suffer through it, and then we move onto the good stuff. There can be a few more flashbacks when Xar visits the citadel to explain anything more.
*****
Footnotes can be those little pause-things where chibi versions of the characters explain stuff. I don’t know what they’re called. However, we shouldn’t need footnotes about timekeeping because let’s just pretend that everyone uses days and years to avoid confusion, okay? Because the canonical timekeeping systems just confused me.
*****
That’s it for now. Next time I’ll ramble on about my thoughts for the musical score (I do not know much music theory).
Oh wow, what an excellent surprise! These are some really cool thoughts, allow me to add some of my own!
Theme/opener: I like the idea of the first opener being a narration/backstory kinda thing, but I have to also hold out for that classic Anime OP packed with symbolism and showcasing the characters fighting and junk. So gotta have some of those types of openings after the first hypothetical season.
Character designs: I really really did the Geg’s fashion/society being based off Industrial Revolution kinda stuff. Another route you could go is more steampunkish (and you’d have precedent, considering how the video game portrays Drevlin– not that you really want to use the video game for anything, but you feel me, lol) but that’s already kinda based on that time period anyway, so *shrug*
Haplo: iirc Haplo’s usually wearing a white shirt with brown pants and a vest, but heck, man, this is an anime, and more complicated costumes are kind of par for the course. Red-and-blue is a fitting color scheme, certainly.
Alfred: Here’s where anime’s proud tradition of ridiculous outfits can truly shine. Make me proud. Canon-wise he literally spends the whole series in that outfit, and I think it would be kinda funny to reflect that by having him wear the exact same coat all the time but in different colors, to suggest that he’s using the exact same pattern every single time. I think no matter what happens with the rest of his outfit, the coat’s probably staying. He just likes it a lot, okay??
Hugh: I like the idea of dressing Hugh up as a decoy protagonist, very appropriate. To me, his outfit is less important than what his hair’s doing, honestly, lol. He’s got a beard with a braid in it!! That’s cool!! And in the fifth book/season, when he’s depressed, he would look really sloppy and not taking care of himself.
Marit: LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE ONE IMAGE WE HAVE OF HER, FIGHT ME, IN WHAT WORLD IS CHESTNUT HAIR BLONDE ANYWAY???? But yeah, pretty much what you said :P
Skipping Elven Star: Interesting idea. I mean, sucks if you happen to like that book, but I’M not going to argue with that, certainly, and it definitely seems like it’d be possible to do… You’d miss out on a lot of the setup, and you’d have to rearrange some things, especially concerning Zifnab, which could get messy, but I definitely think you could do it effectively.
(Relevant addition to this conversation: Hand of Chaos feels like the kind of season you get when the animators are waiting for the manga to get ahead so they make a filler arc. Except it’s not quite a pure filler arc. But it’s disjointed enough from the rest of the series to kind of feel that way. You get me?)
Little chibi characters explaining stuff in lieu of footnotes: OH MY GOODNESS CUTE (would also fit great for bonus episodes, or those little end-of-episode previews that are sometimes a thing)

Bringing your father back After you defeat the final Boss, your son or daughter will want to bring his or her father back from the Forest Of The Beginning. He or she will ask Barret if there is any way to bring his or her father back from the dead. He will say there is a way but he has forgotten. There are four shrines that you have to complete. Each one has a dragon or big Boss guarding four pieces of the puzzle to bring back your father. Before you get to the big Boss, you must go through a gauntlet of monsters for each of the four shrines. After you defeat each monster and the door opens to the teleporter, you will see two switches on the left and right. When you press one of them, your character will either say “I feel some strange power over me” or “Nothing happens”. The first response is the one you want in order to continue. Kill the Boss that has one of the four pieces of the book to revive your father. If you select the second response, you will have to do it over again with more monsters until you get the correct switch. After you have all four pieces of the puzzle, talk to Barret. He will take the spell and not give it back to you. Your character will say “I will find a way to bring back my dad and get the book for that spell. ” Barret will hide it in the back in the library. It is on the bottom shelf on the left side of the library. Start to learn the new spell. Go to your house, and take a nap. The next day you will wake up and go downstairs. Hey! Heres the current version of the iceberg, theres still more enteries that need to be added but heres a quick update
Some things are worded weirdly or are a bit vague so I'll explain what I'm talking about. Remember that if theres a topic you want to see let me know and I'll add it:
Tumblr media
Layer 2:
Luminata's missing hat: Luminatas ingame model dosent have a hat though she still has a blue flower I her hair.
Furries are replacing Dwarfs: in the most recent rf game there are 3 "furries" though no dwarfs.
Title image meaning: this refers to the image that can be seen in the logo of rf games like the dragon in the rf4 logo and the lotus in the rf5 one.
Layer 3:
True bachelorettes: in rf 1 - 3 theres one bachelorette which is included more than others, for rf1 its Mist, rf2 Mana and rf3 Shara. These guys are usually more plot relevant than others and are in the openings more than others (rf3's 2nd op I'm looking at you)
Layer 4:
Rf3 Lemons: in the 2 rf3 openings Lemons are seen alot with Micah and other characters holding them. Though they make no appearance ingame, so maybe its symbolism or you could grow them. Idk this is a personal thing as this has bothered me since I was a kid.
Layer 5:
Tokyo Games show 2007: A Rune factory 2 Demo / trial was available at TGS 07, this version came out a year before the game came out so there is a good chance that this version of rf2 is different from the one that we got in 2008.
Bottom layer:
Is Micah a Earthmate: Theres actually a lot of info to say that Micah isn't a earthmate. Firstly he is never referred to as a Earthmate, only as a Half Monster Half Human, Secondly, He is never seen directly interacting with rune unless you want to count that an unbalance of runes in a half monsters body forcing a transformation counts (like in one of Marian's quests).
Kyle's past: so I dont know if I'm being a idiot with this one (aside havent played rf2) but from what I can find, it is never mentioned what Kyle's past was / where hes from. Its mentioned that he was on a mission to take down Feirsome but that's it.
Lil' : Lil' is the singer of the op for Rune factory 1 though no other information can be found about them. The image for this layer is a supposed album that they have which probably includes the song Rune (Rf1's op), though this is all the info about her, no real name, no face nothing.
Lillyland: Yue mentions this location in rf3 though it's not a location we have seen yet.

Rune factory iceberg update. Nearly done just a few more enteries for tiers 5 - 7, and tier images for 5 - 7. I'll also put some more enteries throughout as well.
If you want something explaining just ask, either dm, put it on this post, put it on the tags or just ask it. I'll answer any questions.
Tumblr media
Also if you have any facts you'll like to see let me know, especially if it's for rf1, rf2, rff or rfo.

I'm planning on redoing my rf iceberg, I'm wondering if anyone has anything they would like to see in this revamped iceberg or something that should be changed.
Here's what I currently have:

"Rune Factory 1 male romantic option" WHAT!? Could you post about it please? Trying to Google it only lead to stuff about RF4 :(
In the game files for rf1 some of the male NPCs have wedding outfits which are unused, mainly these are primarily used for the marriage rivals.
On the Cutting Room Floor (where you can find the images and models) it is implied that these were supposed to be used for a actual wedding event though it was removed.
I should of added "removed" to the entry though I fogot to when making it.

I didn’t know about the rf1 male wedding outfits before but I think that they were meant to be for a rival pairing type situation since they hint at a few different crushes in the game. for example: Lukas has a crush on Rosetta, Zavier/Mist, and Camus/Melody. if that is true then I’m not sure who Russell is meant to be paired up with. they ended up implementing the rival system in the next game (rf2) though. I think if they meant to make it so that the male characters were an option for Raguna to marry, they would have allowed same sex marriage in the games that came afterwards but they did not.
that’s just my theory though heheh.
I can definitely see how it could've been implemented as rival wedding how how it was eventually implemented in rf2.
Though there is barely any context to these images on the cutting room floor except for that they were removed as you couldn't play as a girl. Which is why this feature got implemented in rf2.
Also on the CRF it mentions "many male NPCs" so it sounds like more characters could've been married or there were to be more marriage rivals in the game.
The lack of any evidence for rival marriage events makes me think that it was gonna be like how it is in rf4 with you being able to pick a gender.
Though there's other games which came around at that time which either was censored for having same sex marriages or same sex routes which were scrapped, like Harvest Moon DS cute for example. So this could've influenced there decision.
If I knew how to look at game files then I could try to find info though I know nothing about rummaging through game files.

Rune factory iceberg meme.
I found out that there isn't a rf iceberg meme, so I decided to create one. This is my knowledge of the rf series if you want to add or think that something should be moved somewhere elsewhere just say and I'll add /move it.
There may be a version 2 if I can think of any more stuff. (Pls suggest game esc. Trivia as there's barely any).
