Oof.

So, I was thinking about Epsilon and Caboose and how Epsilon is so used to being abandoned that I just realized.

Caboose never left. He stays with him.

He stays with this supposed memory of his dead best friend, who, for all we know, is experiencing the worst time of his short life inside the unit, reliving memories of lives that aren't even his, and then that memory just hears someone talking to him.

Telling all these stories, treating him like another person, and always coming back.

And I can't help but feel that it was a grounding point for him, to be distracted by these stories instead of the painful memories that he'd soon repress until there was no other way than to remember.

Or I'm projecting.

Anyway, Caboose is awesome, Epsilon is my blorbo, and I am reaching hard to excuse my personal headcanons.

Grimmons HCs - General

Simmons is a picky eater due to texture issues and gives whatever he doesn’t like to Grif. If there’s something Simmons really likes, Grif pretends not to like it and gives it to Simmons.

Grif is a ‘pour cereal in a cup and ‘drinks’ it’ kind of snacker; Simmons hates it.

Grif can’t cook. Simmons can and is happy to cook for him, finding it relaxing. However, Grif can bake and bakes for Simmons in return.

Grif once baked a cake with ‘I’m sorry for making a mess :(‘ written on it and put it in the middle of their messy room.

Grif is a cat person because they’re less stressful to take care of than dogs. His cats use his stomach as a bed when he’s sitting or laying down.

Simmons is a dog person, and when Grif first gets them a cat, he’s like ‘you’re taking care of it yourself’. … Two months later, Simmons has turned into a cat dad and considers the cat his own son and spoiled him to no end.

Grif takes photos of them when Simmons isn’t looking. Some of his favorites are: Simmons with the cat on his shoulder as he’s cooking, Simmons fighting the cat over his glasses, Simmons reenacting Lion King with him.

Simmons takes photos too. His favorite is of Grif sleeping with the cat curled up on his stomach. It’s his phone wallpaper.

Their cat is an orange cat named Remington (or Orange according to Grif). Grif came home one day with the kitten and was like ‘it’s you’ to Simmons

Grif often shares his snacks with Remington. When he doesn’t, Remington will just take it out of his hand and run away.

rvb headcanon but the red team has a clip chart, there’s five section, at the top, there’s sarge, and only sarge’s clip is there, below that is great! And it always got Lopez on it, and most of the time Simmons, and then there’s average performance, with Donut, and then there’s warning, (it’s a big deal whenever Simmons has to move his clip down to the warning zone) and below the warning zone is a piece of orange construction paper with GRIF written on it, and guess who’s clip is there

Personally I like to believe the blues didn't either until Kai installed them to keep a drunk person (herself included) from making a bleach and ammonia cocktail during one of her raves.

the idea that donut is the only cis straight man in the whole rvb cast absolutely fucking sends me. Sarge is sapiosexual, Grif and Simmons are Themselves (a cocktail of queer), Tucker is a very confused pansexual for a hot minute, Carolina and Church are Bi Siblings, Wash is ace/demiromantic, and Caboose is a fucking mystery.

Freelander Donut AU

(I have mention this au on my main @plagues01. So if this sounds familiar, you saw this over there. I've edited this some, and I wish to add more to this au in the future)

Donut wasn’t always the silly guy who uses a lot of sexual innuendos. When he was younger, he used to be very serious, and he hardly ever cracked a joke.

They used to be known as Agent Missouri when they were once part of Project Freelancer. He always remained around the Top 15, and many times he was in the Top 10.

During his free time, Missouri would hang around Florida and Wyoming, but he was also friendly with Wash and his main group of friends.

When the fragments were starting to be given out, it was a surprise when Missouri was called back and offered an AI. As it was the Director himself who was offering an AI, Missouri couldn’t say no. Missouri was given the fragment named Zeta, Alpha’s desire.

Life went back to normal for a while. Missions went on, and Missouri and Zeta grew closer as soldier and AI. Missouri seemed to be an even better soldier with AI.

As they grew closer, the Director saw changes he wanted to see. He wanted to see what would happen giving the AI of desire to someone who always denies his desires and would give everything for work, for the mission.

As time went on, more jokes started to slip. More sexual comments were made in a playful manner. Over all, Missouri became more and more relaxed, more and more open to others.

Finally the attack happened, and the Mother of Invention crashed. Agent Missouri made a decision that day during the chaos, and they left Project Freelancer without a trace.

At first, Missouri and Zeta didn’t know what to do. They tried to live a normal life, but nothing left right. A year later, Missouri decided that he could try to forge some documents, and no one would notice with the war going on.

Agent Missouri was no more, and a new soldier, a new sim troop, joined Blood Gutch, wearing his old freelancer suit. The maroon and orange asked for his name. He smiled under his helmet and introduced themself.

His name was Franklin Delano Donut

hi these are my headcanons of whether the reds and blues are in or out of armor more

sarge: obsessively always in armor, rarely takes off helmet as well

grif: would be out of armor all the time, but it takes a lot of work to put it on and take it off so in armor most the time. always taking off his helmet though

simmons: in armor a lot to follow protocol, (also kind of shy, likes how helmet shields his face) but takes it off when he needs to

donut: mostly out of armor. dont think this needs further explanation

lopez: is armor

church: in armor a lot because hes the leader and feels he should follow at least a little protocol, but not very strict and has his helmet off a lot

epsilon: can project himself to be in or out of armor but mostly shows himself in armor because everyone else is

caboose: in armor a lot, if ever out of armor he likes to still have his helmet on

tucker: in armor when he has to be, but constantly taking off his helmet (he has to show off his incredible good looks) (he also says the helmet ruins his hair)

tex: in armor 24/7 i dont think anyone has seen what she looks like besides church and the reds when they captured her in bgc (probably took off her helmet or something)

washington: in armor most all the time, but not obsessively like sarge is. follows protocol strictly though

carolina: nobody even saw her face until like the chorus trilogy (excluding wash he would have seen her out of armor in pfl at least once)

bitters has dyed hair headcanon but in the way that nobody knows where the fuck this kid is getting all this hair dye from in the middle of a war. where is it coming from? is he making it? did he find it? when does he even have the time to do? how does no one know?

uhm. simmons art. heres my headcanon/facecanon/whatever

[id: a drawing of simmons from red vs blue, in casual clothes instead of armour.  he has pale white skin with freckles, and maroon hair in a shaggy mullet. half of his face and his right (i think) arm up to his shoulder is robotic. he is wearing a maroon shirt with the red team cobra logo and text that reads “fukin uh. Red Team. go reds idk”, green camo pants, and black shoes. his left eye (on his human side) is green, and his right (on his robot side) is red. he has two bracelets on his left arm. one is a maroon braided bracelet with a small strawberry charm and the other is a kandi cuff with the red team armour colours. end id]

also hc that donut made red team friendship bracelets w little fruit charms on them matching armour colours and was like “fruit charms for my fave fruity pals! >:D” and grif and simmons just stood there like. “...dude. i dont think you understand what that means.”
