My controversial opinion of the day is that Davy from the Monkees should have been the main vocalist instead of Peter

uh, correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought davy's official title was lead vocalist? besides shaking a mean maraca i mean. but then again, micky sang lead vocals on more big hits than any of them so i guess he's the actual lead vocalist stealing davy's thunder

anyways, my firm stance on davy jones is that he is actually just a figment of the brady bunch universe and therefore never existed ❤️

You walked down the street just a bit faster as you heard Yuya calling after you, making your eyes roll. You didn’t have time for this, you just wanted to get home. You grumbled as you felt a hand on your shoulder, the man in question finally catching up with you.

“Goodness, (Y/n), I almost thought you might be trying to get rid of me.” Yuya laughed, forcing you to put on a grin.

“Oh, I didn’t lose you? Maybe next time.” Your voice was low, leaving Yuya’s smile just to break.

“Well, since you didn’t lose me, and I have you now, I was wondering if-” Yuya started, but you already knew where this was going, leaving you just to roll your eyes.

“Whatever it is, whenever it is, I’m busy. Don’t you have admirers to be pleasing? I think if you asked any of them out, they would be over the moon. It would be a nice change of pace for you, I think. To be chasing after someone who actually likes you.” You told Yuya, watching his expression just drop. You felt a little bad, but you had tried letting Yuya down easy several times now, all to no avail. This was really the only way to make him listen.

“Aw, come on, (Y/n). You know I don’t like them all like that. They’re like little sisters to me, that’s all! You’re the only person I really love.” He told you, throwing an arm over your shoulder that left you to yelp, hopping away from you.

“Well, I don’t care, because I’m not interested! God, go find someone else! Go speed dating, whatever, I don’t care, as long as I’m left out of it!” You scolded, leaving Yuya just to pause as you took a step back. You didn’t expect the way his expression transformed into one of anger, the way he seemed to step closer to you, almost looming over you.

“No… I love you, (Y/n). I’m always going to love you. You can’t get away from me, I’ll follow you to the ends of the earth. You should already know that by now.” He told you, grabbing a piece of your hair and leaning in close. You yelped as he tugged slightly, unable to get away for fear that he would rip out your hair.

“You know, I saw you last night…you looked beautiful. You always do.” He cooed. Once he let go of you, you stumbled back, doing anything to put some distance between the two of you.

“I hope you rot. Never speak to me, talk about me, even look at me again! Or else, I’ll… I’ll!....” You didn’t have a good threat to give to him, but well… The effort was there, I’ll give you that much. Yuya just laughed at your meek threats, shaking your head.

“I’ll wear you down yet. And once I get that date, you’re going to wonder why you ever said no to me in the first place. Be seeing you, (Y/n). Hope the chicken you’re making tonight is good.” He told you, watching the shudder go down your spine as you turned to walk away. How the hell did he know what you were making for dinner tonight? Was he really stalking you that closely? No, it was a lucky guess. Everyone fucking eats chicken, it had to be a lucky guess.

You tried to ignore Yuya’s eyes raking over you as you began to quickly walk home.

i wish. my job is pulling some major assetry with my schedule, so i have next to no free time for the foreseeable future. i might get one or two prompts done if i’m lucky.

i tried to do one for today, but i was trying for hours and nothing was coming out right. i was about 2 seconds away from throwing something so i had to just put it down and accept that it wasn’t going to happen. miiiiiiight try again later tonight, but right now i’m doubting that anything will look okay enough for me to want to post

A small girl in dark baggy clothing sat in the corner of the nice cafe, looking down at a cartoonishly large pad of paper while scribbling, her short light blue and dark brown hair shielding her eyes and blush. When she looked up occasionally at the tall, lanky, man, her grey eyes focused intensely on him in what looked like an attempt to memorize his features before returning to her previous state. The process repeated with occasional bouts of what seemed to be intense erasing.

    The thief sat idly, perhaps looking a bit lonely at a table all by himself. He had a coffee and a slice of iced lemon cake. His ‘date’ never showed, and the poor guy was more than a little bummed. Granted, it was all a cover story, his partner had left just ten minutes before this young lady came into the cafe. But she didn’t need to know that.

At some point, when the girl would look up once more, she’d see the tall man had vanished. No trace of his existence left behind. Then, a chair pulled out from across her table and down sat the man from moments before.

    “I... hope you don’t mind,”  he winked.
