OKOK LAST POST FOR THE NIGHT I PROMMY BUT all this spytown talk has me thinking about the hadestown alt ending they did for when reeve left, but in the context of spies are forever... like for one night... curt doesn't shoot owen and they get to leave together... how would that even play out??? would it be tatiana, cynthia, barb, etc., showing up to give them permission to leave???

but then think about it- in hadestown, when orpheus and eurydice are told they get to leave, they've just made peace with each other again and promised to love each other and are ready to go home together... but how would owen and curt react to this news?

curt would at least be a little bit pleased, surely. we know from watching him in the scene that he doesn't want to have to do this, but... would he really trust owen enough to walk out hand in hand with him? and what about owen? would be even be ABLE to put aside his beliefs, his mission, his distrust, his bitterness, his need for revenge- long enough to just walk away? and walk away with curt?

i mean, you hope to god he would. what's the point otherwise? but- could you imagine?

sitting in the audience at, let's say, spies live in the uk, watching this infamous scene, when right towards the end, right as owen finishes singing his reprise, the rest of the cast comes out to tell the two of them, and the audience, that they get to leave together.

could you imagine, then, the feeling going through you, as you realize, this is it? all those fanfictions, all those analysis posts, all those daydreams about what could have been- about to play out right before your very eyes?

and- could you imagine- if after all that, they wouldn't go? if curt and owen refused to leave? if that final gunshot ran out and the show proceeded as normal, no differences, nothing at all to suggest anything was ever going to change in the first place, but-

you know. you know the chance was there. and you now know that no matter the circumstances, no matter the monologue or ballad, no matter what hypotheticals all our brains could come up with to possibly change what's canon and true- you now know that if given the chance, they'd say no?

i mean, you hope to god they wouldn't. what's the point otherwise? but- could you imagine?

MEGA HYL (aka @missholloween's) SPY ANOTHER DAY LONDON POST

This time I've been so brave I'll be trading all the bracelets I did (something that did NOT happen with innit, inevitable and starship bracelets my beloveds <3). So, I wanted to do a hall of fame for some of my favorites

First off, the It Girls.

Who do you trust is Curt's, as by the end of saf he thinks Owen has lied to him about the person he was, about their relationship as a whole. On the other hand, we have Owen's (who do you betray). Curt not only leaves Owen behind after the fall, but ends up killing him at the end.

Then we have a crossover with @chadworkinboys, as he lend me some beats and I could use black <3

It's mostly used to highlight Owen's death in one way or another, the fall. Even if the timer wasn't the only thing that gave way to the staircase scene, it's one of the biggest (now I'm realizing I have no banana bracelet. It's too late now)

Then we have the pride collection

Forever/whatever is in line with the black ones, but it also has the mlm pride flag. We also have a lesbian Tati bracelet and a little treat for me, a nonbinary Owen one <3 (gnc Owen save me)

After everything we went through, I couldn't not do some tinlighentment bracelets. We have another pride one with the sacred text, my favorite quote ever and a hand-made believer band.

I have some more (26 total), but here's a taste. I have some silly quotes (Sergio Santos the man you are) and some angsty ones too, as tonal whiplash is in the heart of spies <3

I'm so excited for tomorrow and I hope I'll see everyone. But, just to recognize me, here's a photo of my bag and the outfit. I'll be your favorite Spanish Sergio who's totally normal about Owen Carvour and won't cry tomorrow at all!

Good morning, might I interest anyone in some hyperfixated rambling re:

1) Me being wrong about Wilbur Cross and John Macnamara's canon ages.

2) The newly explained Mega Bastards SaF lore (I know it's just Actor Curt Mega's headcanon but it's canon to me now)

3) The implications for my hcs about Wilbur being the Spankoffski bros uncle and John being related to Curt?

Keeping it under a readmore so I don't annoy everyone about this, because I have a lot of thoughts.

So it turns out I misunderstood John and Wilbur's canon ages in Black Friday.

According to the wiki they're around 42 and around 44 respectively in 2019. I'd imagined them as being 10 years older than this and therefore in their early 30s back in 1998, but in fact they should have been only 21 and 23 in that Saf/Hatchetverse crossover fic I wrote a while ago, and they were only 28 and 30 when the portal incident happened.

The question of whether Wiley can physically age post-2005 makes this interesting, though. Was Wilbur 44 in 2005, making Wiley eternally 44? That would mean that pre-portal Wilbur was a whole 15 or 16 years older than John, which works well I guess for the canon mentor-mentee context but not so well for my own MacNaCross headcanons. I think such a big age difference would change their dynamic a lot, plus I prefer the idea of Wilbur having been promoted at a fairly young age for a PIEP colonel.

For those reasons I'm gonna go with Wilbur being 30 in 2005 and Wiley being technically 44 in Black Friday, whether or not he ages in a normal human way. The most tragic implication of this is of course that I can't call Wilbur/Wiley a boomer anymore, since being born in 1975 makes them definitely Gen X :(

But it would also make the age difference between Wil and Annie (a Hatchetfield OC of mine who is Wil's sister and Pete and Ted's mom) much larger. Ted was born in 1984, so Annie would have to be at least 10 years older than Wilbur.

Having a 10 year age difference between the Cross Siblings would be kinda cool (it parallels the Spankoffski bros age difference!!) but it does mean rethinking all my headcanons about their sibling dynamic. Plus it would make Wilbur less than 10 years older than Ted and an actual uncle since the age of 9.

- Implications for my headcanons about where the Uncle Wiley character/voice came from? Perhaps.

- Would Ted have known Wilbur better when he was growing up? Seems more likely, especially if Annie helped her younger sibling out when he left home.

- What about Ted and Wilbur knowing each other around the time of the Jenny incident and the portal? Or when Pete was born in 2002? Or Homeless Ted's reasons for queuing up in Black Friday?

MUCH to consider and perhaps draw or write about some time.

Anyway. On a different note:

Combining Actor Curt Mega's headcanon about Agent Curt Mega having several illegitimate children with John and Wilbur's canon ages, it's completely possible (if you like SaF/Hatchetverse crossovers) for John Macnamara to be Curt's grandson.

If John is around 42 in TGWDLM and Black Friday, then he was born around 1976. So his mother or father could easily have been born in the early fifties as one of the illegitimate children resulting from Curt's spy activities. And it's likely John wouldn't know this, if the truth was kept a secret from him - which it probably would be, if his grandmother's line of work/status was the kind where you end up being seduced for espionage reasons by the world's greatest spy.

Again: Much to think about.

Hello, thank you so much for asking.

So I mostly don’t have any energy for writing these days so my Notes app is full of writing prompts and ideas and lines that come to me but just get saved there.

However I have done some work on my novel “Eternally out of Time” and it’s possible sequels. Unfortunately I think I might have to scrap “out of time” because I can’t seem to get it far enough from its fanfic roots. So I’ll have to make one of the others the first book (though realistically I’ve been working on this for years and it will probably only be seen in parts on this site). It focuses on my immortal character Chance being brought back in by her former organization in order to lead a team of misfits into the past in order to stop someone whose trying to stop the formation of this organization. I love the characters and the world so much but I suck at dialogue. I might start posting longer bits and maybe an overview if people are interested. Everyone seemed to enjoy when I did that reblog and get a quote thing awhile back.

I’m also eyeing my play “Written in Hot Pink Lipstick and a Lady’s Tears” in order to possibly workshop it and maybe get it in next year’s Fringe.

Mostly when I have the energy to write I do my fanfic short challenge. I’ve got some great ones lined up and I’m planning on making a new section for stuff that doesn’t fit with the others. Most of the challenge drabbles are for tv shows cause my rule was that the characters involved have to have been in multiple episodes. However my latest fandom obsessions are not series so I’m going to make a category just for them. I have some Hatchetfield stuff and some SaF stuff and yeah. I’m really enjoying just being able to shoot off something really short and be able to call it a day. Some of them I’m really proud of actually. Writing short little snippets can be trickier than I thought, especially if it’s a crossover piece but I just love when I get it right.

My Challenge ficlets are here if you’re interested in taking a gander, don’t think I have anything up in any fandoms you’d be interested in yet but I’m working on some.

(Also if I get my butt in gear there is a whole folder of quotes from movie and tv villains that are begging me to use them as fanfic prompts.)

Like I said mostly I just don’t have the energy nowadays to actually write like I would like so I just write great ideas with no execution.

I’m writing a crossover fanfic, my OC in the world of Hi-Fi rush and going on a journey around Vandelay to assemble a machine to go home.

Complete with a story that would mirror how the actual game would frame it, new characters and even a soundtrack for all the “levels” and “boss fights”.

It’s currently not complete but I’m working on it.

Also this is my first full on fanfic so go easy on me.
