What do you think is one one of the most wholesome moments in the Saiki K anime?

Ooooo that's a difficult one. There are a lot of wholesome sweet moments it's kinda hard to choose

But I were to go off the top of my head I'd probably say one of the most wholesome moments to me is Kaidou reading out the birthday letter he wrote for Saiki during the Season 1 Finale episode

It's a bit sad they didnt know his actual birthday and instead thought his dad's was his but the fact Saiki didn't want to hurt their feelings by telling them (bittersweetish?)

But. Look at the letter:

"Dear Saiki, I know you'll think it's overdramatic of me to write you a letter but that's okay. You're a great friend who I share many precious memories with. I can't believe it's only been 6 months since we met at the start of the anime series. Anyway, thanks to you, I met everyone else and they brought joy to my life in so many ways too! I know it's sappy but it's true. It'd good to know you're always looking out for me, I wanna be a better person because of you. Thank you for being born.

- Happy Birthday from Kaidou"

LIKE. TELL ME THATS NOT THE MOST HEARTFELT MONOLOGUE IN THIS SERIES. It's genuinely so sweet

Kusuo: "Yeah, I'll pass. If I go down there I'll just kill the mood."

Kuniharu: "Who cares about that? Those kids like you Kusuo, and deep down you like them too. After all, you asked me to take your place so they wouldn't feel bad about getting your birthday wrong, right? But they didn't come to spend time with me. Even if the mood does change, I think they'd rather be with you. Go down there, son."

Kusuo: "...Who are you to give me advice?"

Kuniharu: "I'm your DAD."

Like just. Sobs. SOOOOOOOOBS

AND HES RIGHT TOO!!!! HES RIGHT!!!! Saiki does care about his friends even if he doesn't show it, and his friends appreciate him even if to them he's quiet and not as lively as his dad was acting to pretend to be him

The whole episode was good like wtf they made him a cake and make him a video birthday card like WHATA IM JUST. WOW.

sorry for the ramble but it's genuinely one of the most wholesome (and one of my favorite!) moments/episodes of the series!!!

• you and saiki first met in chūgakkō, junior high, but he didn’t fall in love with you until a few years later when you two were already in pk academy. maybe it’s all the accidentally bumping into him, dropping your papers and saiki being the one to help you pick them up, making awkward eye contact in class, hanging out with one another outside of school, or touching on the same snack you both are aiming for at either the vending machine or at the store... all the things somehow have you involved these recent days and saiki is less than impressed at first

• saiki has always stated time and time again that he personally does not think he will not fall in love, so he always watches others who are in love and help them if he can, but here he is…completely captivated by you of all people. he didn’t know why though, was the author just really that bored?

• let it be known that he does possess the power to alter your perception of him. saiki could always just make you fall in love with him just like that…but…what’s the fun in that? no, no, he wouldn’t dream of doing that to you

— however, since saiki was born with the uncontrollable ability to read the minds of all living creatures in a multiple-mile radius…he can read your mind, he knows all of your favorite things, what you dislike, your hobbies, and your address. he didn’t mean to at first, but he did find your thoughts and imagination fascinating. he even finds himself listening to you during class like you’re his favorite podcast

• saiki is crazily protective over you.

— there was a time where you nearly got mugged! and when i say ‘nearly’, well, let’s just say you should be grateful saiki was there to protect you. can’t you see that he’ll always be here for you in a time of need? he’ll keep you safe, but only if you see that for yourself…

• saiki doesn’t think he’s the jealous type, but he will stop any other man who has a crush on you by any means necessary by either relentlessly embarrassing them for the rest of the day or wiping you from their memory because only saiki can have you. no one else. he doesn’t care how many people he has to make forget you to become your boyfriend

• what’s that? you wish it was a sunny day in japan instead of a rainy one? don’t you worry about a thing! saiki will handle that for you!

• stalking you is almost child’s play to saiki since he has so many powers to ensure you don’t spot him — shapeshifting, teleportation, you name it! but this is a good thing because you don’t have to worry about him being an aggressive type of yandere

— if he is following behind you when you’re walking home, i do think saiki would change to his female self, so you would be less scared

• once the author made you bring coffee jelly to school and willingly give it up to saiki after seeing him light up at the sight of it, saiki knew that he just had to marry you

• he could, quite literally, turn the world upside down for you if it meant that you’ll be with him.

﹕Saiki glanced over from his position on the floor, his expression remaining stoic, yet he couldn't help but feel relieved to see you.

"My powers are acting up again," he murmured quietly, his voice tinged with a hint of irritation.

In response to your offer at helping him up, he gave a small sigh, not wanting to put you in danger.

"It's better if you stay back," he said, trying to keep his tone as even as possible. "My powers are unpredictable right now. I don't want to accidentally hurt you."

You furrowed your brow slightly, a mixture of concern and confusion flickering across your features. "Then why did you call me over?" you inquired, recalling how his voice filled your head in the privacy of your own room—Saiki needs you!

He hesitated for a moment before answering, his voice still slightly strained. "Because… I don't trust anyone else to be around me when I'm like this," he replied honestly. "I need someone I can rely on when things go wrong. And… I suppose… I feel more comfortable around you."

Your eyes widened slightly in surprise, tilting your head as you struggled to process the rare compliment from your usually standoffish friend. A gentle warmth spread across your features as a soft laugh escaped your lips. "Well, do I just stand here awkwardly and watch you lie on the floor?"

"I suppose you can help me get up," he said after a few moments of consideration. "Just be careful, and don't get too close."

With your help and careful movements, he managed to stand up and sit on the couch. He let out a small sigh of relief, feeling a bit more settled now that he was in a less vulnerable position.

When you opened your mouth to speak, you were taken aback by the unexpected weight of Saiki leaning against your shoulder. The hairs on the back of your neck stood on end as you felt his warm breath gently brush against your skin in a soft sigh.

“Is this okay?” you asked quietly, adjusting yourself under his body to find a more comfortable position on the couch.

Saiki's eyes remained closed, his exhaustion evident as he leaned further against you. He nodded slightly in response, "Yes... this is fine," he mumbled.

He couldn't deny that your closeness felt grounding and strangely comforting. The warmth of your body eased the tension in his muscles, and he found himself relaxing against you.

Finding unexpected comfort in your presence, he allowed himself to relax and succumb to his exhaustion.

s2 e8 of saiki k. saiki reveals that ever since he time traveled to the past and accidentally messed up the timeline in an earlier episode, he's been getting stuck in time loops. it's implied that this is caused by saiki's own anxieties, as clearing his head breaks him out of these loops. immediately after this is revealed, nendou almost dies violently, barely being saved by saiki's powers at the last second. time loops. saiki watches nendou die violently in front of him 16,785 times before breaking the loop by dissociating so heavily that he manages to save nendou without consciously thinking about it. this is entirely played as a gag and is never mentioned ever again.
