I think it’s so so interesting how Kim wanted so badly to be a pilot and even now dresses the part but he has a crippling fear of the Pale. The aerostatics are designed for interisolary traversal through the Pale and I think it’s so interesting that there’s this kind of hypocrisy in his character in so many ways and how he doesn’t even consider the implication

so about the ship thing . . . Have you heard of a little guy called Sailor Dee? They showed up in Revenge of Meta Knight as part of Meta Knight's crew, and I think a couple other times in minigames and merch. I imagine he'd be braver than the average dee since he works for MK, so maybe they'd be able to power through the ick reaction like Bandee

I wish everyone in the world could have at least one full night of true stargazing in the goddamn middle of the ocean. I'm talking the closest person who is not one of the other 38 people on your 134-ft sail boat is on the international space station middle of the ocean.

It changes you. I hate to be dramatic but unless you've seen the shooting stars and the milky way and the constellations you never knew the name for let alone thought you'd be able to see, unless you've met the Seven Sisters and the renaissance sunrise holding hot chocolate through freezing sunsets. Using sextants and nautical almanacs and a helm and a lookout. Mellow sunrises and god damned Venus showing up to guide you into every single morning.

This is why the ancient philosophers were able to think that way. They saw that sky every night. Go in peace. Down to the sunless sea if you must and go out onto the vast deep blue water of the open ocean if you can have any luck in this world. Go with hope to the sea.
