I read 240 books in 2023, which is lower than my total books read than the past few years. But it'd be ridiculous to be bothered by it because, hey, I still read 240 books!

I set myself a goal of trying to read more out of my comfort zone this year. I wanted to read 30 non-romance books, 25 physical books, and 10 non-fiction books. By the end of the year, I'd read a total of 54 non-romance books, 62 physical books, and 27 non-fiction books. I'm hoping to continue in this vein in 2024.

November Reads: A Summary

Well, we know what Amy was into last month. I actually read those first 5 books in 3 days since they were so short. And then I apparently read nothing else except the Christina Lauren book and I read that last week. I’m still reading the Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White, and that feels like it is taking forever. It could just be me.

This month has been a weird month for me, and I can’t really explain why. I was off for a week before Thanksgiving, and that would have been the best time to get a lot of reading done, but I had plans to do stuff around my house, and then I got sick. Again, perfect time to read, but instead I just binged on She-Ra on Netflix and other shows. This was also the first Thanksgiving without my dad, and although I thought I would be okay, I think subconsciously I was not. I felt his absence a lot, even though I had a wonderful time with my brother and sister-in-law and niece. 

I don’t have a set plan for December. I am going to work through my ARC TBR list, finish what I am reading, and then start figuring out what books I want to focus on next year. I still got a lot of projects to do around my house, so we’ll see how this month goes. 

I didn’t read enough to have a Favorite list this month, but I will say that Twice In A Blue Moon was definitely NOT it.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bringing The Heat to Paradise! Steamy Hot in Paradise! This story was so freaking entertaining. I loved the flirty fun vibe it had going on. Everything about it was fantastic from the wonderful and enticing main characters, the flirting and sexy escapades that brought these two together in the beautiful back drop of Maui. I pretty much inhaled this. Every single second of this story was just so incredibly delicious. I couldn't put this down. Compromised In Paradise is a steamy, romantic ride. Loved Arden and Nick's story. Samantha Beck created a world that was passionate, sexy, and with intriguing characters. Fantastic storyline! Highly Recommend this story! Received a copy through NetGalley and voluntarily wrote an honest review.
