Something I noticed recently is some hermits have a SEVERE lack of fics centered around them, like I get that people either don’t watch someone or just genuinely don’t know how to write them but I’d love to see more of the underrated hermits get the spotlight in the fics! So here’s my list of “hermits that need more fic centric things!”

Mainly because most fics I see are usually mumbo, Grian, and scar centric

Impulse for ask game?

A (realistic): Making candy apparently awoke something in him because he started exploring confections in general. His treats usually go to the rest of Boatem (Grian has joked that they’re the only reason anyone shows up to the meetings), but he also sends some to Zed and Tango.

B (funny): He’s started sending sweets to Big Eye as a whole because Bdubs and Keralis started complaining about Tango refusing to share.

C (heartbreaking): Impulse never feels 100% comfortable when all of Boatem is gathered together. He knows there aren’t any rules on Hermitcraft, but it’s hard to shake that paranoia that one of you can’t be trusted.

D (fuck canon): All of the hermits are allowed one or two visitation passes they can give a friend of their choosing. Impulse’s chosen friend is Skizz. He comes by a few times a year to catch up with Impulse and the rest of the gang.

Might I ask why impulse is scared of microwaves? I’m not judging I mean, I’m scared of peacocks so… I just want to know the story behind that xD

He's not scared of microwaves, he's scared of possessing microwaves.

Mostly because of the incident where he and Mumbo blew one up and he got grounded for like a month.

So about the totem pulse au, would it be a bit of a stretch to ask for a tiny team zit adventure? With all 3 being tiny and overall just bonding because guess what? Now impulse can do a real group hug!! <3 love the totem pulse au

[context: slightly alternate timeline, where totemification potions were discovered before the effects of the void.]

The trio gathered in the Cave of Contraptions. Zedaph had discovered a new type of potion, one that mimicked the effects of totemification- a potion that could, if only temporarily, bring them down to Impulse's size. The tiny man perched on the edge of a chest, golden wings fluttering nervously. Did the potion really work? It would be nice, being able to properly interact with his friends again, after all this time being small.

Zed handed Tango a potion bottle, and he stared at the shimmering liquid inside. This was a new potion, all right, he had never seen one this colour. It looked almost like molten gold. He raised the bottle, and drank.

It tasted sweet, almost like maple syrup, with a slight metallic tinge. As he swallowed, a strange sensation swept through his body, and he shuddered. And everything started to change. Everything around him got very big, very fast, his skin took on a golden colour, and wings burst from his back. He couldn't see his eyes, but he was sure they'd changed to an emerald green, just like Impulse's had. He was totemificated now, and Zed, across from him, had done the same.

He shook his head, trying to get used to the new form, and promptly got knocked over by an excited Impulse coming in for a hug. He sank into his friend's cold, metallic embrace, knowing just how badly Impulse had missed this. And Tango had missed it too.

Zed ran over to join them, wings and arms spread wide, and the three had a real group hug for the first time in weeks. It didn't matter that they were tiny, or that they had wings, or that they felt like cold metal and not like flesh. It made no difference to them.

Eventually, Impulse broke away from the hug, eyes wide with excitement. "You guys could visit my shulker box! Oh, i missed hanging out with you so much... come on!" He flew off towards the shulker he had been using as a home, and the other two were glad to follow.

So take a capybara impulse because it’s been on my mind all day.
