It's the 64th Hunger Games, and Tango and Jimmy are chosen as District 12's latest set of tributes. The fic follows Tango's POV all the way from the reaping, through the pregame, and into the arena, as he tries and fails not to get too attached to his district partner. Will their bond and the help of their mentor, Scott Smajor, finally get District 12 another winner..... or two?

- Storyline Strings

After Double Life, everyone is supposed to be sent back to their home server. But Tango ends up somewhere else. Somewhere where his rancher buddy is a sheriff in a mesa, and a certain god keeps insisting he's a toy. And a god's words have impact.

- Crystals and Candy

In Season 8, Impulse gets a nice sign from someone called Charlie, requesting help making a chocolate factory. And it came with free, extremely delicious samples! Sounds good to him. This Charlie person can't be anything but trustworthy with candy like that.

- Nethered

A fan sequel to Past the Bedrock by ooFFFF. A universe-hopping Zedaph finds his way to a world where Hermits have been hurt and split apart by a strange Nether that seems set on pulling everyone in. The Nether is dangerous, the portals have beem closed, and the hermits inside have been lost... until Portaldaph makes it his mission to save them.

New Season News

Since Season Ten is on the horizon, I've decided to give a bit of news on future plans for the blog. The big one being that- the inbox will reopen on the day the new season starts. I'm excited to see all of your ideas!

Now for some less good news. I'm sure you have all noticed that most headcanons aren't getting responded to with words. Originally, that was intended to just be temporary, in order to clear out the massive amount of backlog (800+ asks) in the inbox. We're now down to a bit over 300! Unfortunately, I do not possess the yes-and powers that Mod Shade does, so I will never be able to come up with a response to every single headcanon. Many, although not all, will continue to be posted without comment.

However, not having to come up with a little thing to write for the thousands of asks we get here, does mean that headcanons will most likely get responded to much more quickly. I hope this is an acceptable tradeoff- after all, anyone can add comments, but only us mods can get the headcanons posted in the first place. I will still answer the ones I can manage text for with enthusiasm, and I'll try to do as many as I can while still keeping response times a priority. I encourage anyone to add their own thoughts in reblogs and replies! Seeing the amazing things this community comes up with is my favourite part of being a mod here.

Thank you all for being patient with the closed inbox. We'll be back up and running very soon, with a couple of brand new hermits to have headcanons about!

So about the totem pulse au, would it be a bit of a stretch to ask for a tiny team zit adventure? With all 3 being tiny and overall just bonding because guess what? Now impulse can do a real group hug!! <3 love the totem pulse au

[context: slightly alternate timeline, where totemification potions were discovered before the effects of the void.]

The trio gathered in the Cave of Contraptions. Zedaph had discovered a new type of potion, one that mimicked the effects of totemification- a potion that could, if only temporarily, bring them down to Impulse's size. The tiny man perched on the edge of a chest, golden wings fluttering nervously. Did the potion really work? It would be nice, being able to properly interact with his friends again, after all this time being small.

Zed handed Tango a potion bottle, and he stared at the shimmering liquid inside. This was a new potion, all right, he had never seen one this colour. It looked almost like molten gold. He raised the bottle, and drank.

It tasted sweet, almost like maple syrup, with a slight metallic tinge. As he swallowed, a strange sensation swept through his body, and he shuddered. And everything started to change. Everything around him got very big, very fast, his skin took on a golden colour, and wings burst from his back. He couldn't see his eyes, but he was sure they'd changed to an emerald green, just like Impulse's had. He was totemificated now, and Zed, across from him, had done the same.

He shook his head, trying to get used to the new form, and promptly got knocked over by an excited Impulse coming in for a hug. He sank into his friend's cold, metallic embrace, knowing just how badly Impulse had missed this. And Tango had missed it too.

Zed ran over to join them, wings and arms spread wide, and the three had a real group hug for the first time in weeks. It didn't matter that they were tiny, or that they had wings, or that they felt like cold metal and not like flesh. It made no difference to them.

Eventually, Impulse broke away from the hug, eyes wide with excitement. "You guys could visit my shulker box! Oh, i missed hanging out with you so much... come on!" He flew off towards the shulker he had been using as a home, and the other two were glad to follow.
