HOTD: No you can't have Nettles. Or Marilda of Hull. Or Black Aly. Or Sabitha Frey. Or Sara Snow. You can have a bit of Jeyne Arryn but only if she hates Targs now. No you can't have Jessamyn Redfort. No you can't have Sylvenna Sand-
HOTD: Baela and Rhaena may appear from time to time but don't expect them to be main characters - don't be greedy. You have two whole black women - you're lucky we didn't merge them into one.
HOTD: Rhaenyra's a lunatic now btw. Because DID YOU KNOW when a Targaryen is born the Gods flip a-
HOTD: BUT don't worry! Everyone's favourite slavers, the Triarchy, is now led by a lesbian!

sara hess writing that helaena and alys help daemon targaryen.
helaena saying to daemon: 'you know your part.'
she really wants aemond dead.
everyone from the team green treating aemond as the only enemy.
if only they would use their time to do something to win this war instead of criticizing him for his crimes.
we all know that 90 or 99% of team green's power is aemond targaryen + vhagar.
did helaena forget that daemon was the one who killed her son?
from my point of view and what i think is that, daemon never wanted to kill aemond.
he only used rhaenyra's words as an excuse when she told him: 'i want aemond targaryen' to do what he wants.
he just wanted to extinguish aegon's line, that would mean killing jaehaerys because he was the next heir to the iron throne.

Thoughts on ep 6? I see a lot of praise for it but I'm like 🤔. A lot of things were annoying and illogical and I don't like what they're doing with most of the characters this season. Now even Daemon gets a redemption arc, Aegon is the biggest victim of his family, but Aemond is 100 % evil, Helaena barely appears at all (at this point Sylvie and Dyana might be more important to the story). I'm just disappointed.
Hello dear.
I'm terribly tired of this season, it's a complete disappointment. Many fan theories and fanfictions are better written than this series. I don't know what writers get their money for. The whole season 2 is like Groundhog Day. The sixth episode is just water.
We continue to be shown Daemon, his hallucinations and his “redemption”. We are promoted that he loved his brother, but this love did not extend to Viserys’ other children. Daemon and Rhaenyra actually spent their entire lives ignoring, neglecting, rejecting, and abusing Alicent's children because their grandfather was Otto. Viserys did not accept his children because ANOTHER WOMAN gave birth to them. Alicent's children were indeed discriminated against by their paternal relatives. Therefore, I do not believe in the propaganda of Daemon's redemption, that Rhaenyra is kind, and Viserys is a good parent. Besides, I'm terribly tired of all these hallucinations in Harrenhal. It was interesting in the beginning, but now it's endless repetition.
The pointless scenes of Rhaenyra and Daemon could have been spent on a story arc with the north and Sarah Snow, showing Daeron, more scenes to Helaena.
It looks like we have Daemon, Rhaenyra and Alicent, other characters, playing the role of «trees» or «decorations» for them.
They decided to show Aegon as a victim. This is a cheap scenario move to divide the TG stans into two camps: those who support Aemond and those who support Aegon. As if we weren't already divided into helaemond stans and anti-helaemond long ago. Aegon could have been given a bit of heroism to get burned by Rhaenys. But we have what we have. The dynamic between Aegon and Aemond reminds me of the dynamic between Viserys and Daenerys. It really is déjà vu, but I don't believe the writers intended it that way.
Aemond tries to deal with the problems that Aegon and Rhaenyra created. The birth of the rebellion began after Aegon carried out a reign of terror by hanging the rat-catchers. Rhaenyra set up a blockade. Aemond closed the gates, but if he had not done this, the entire infrastructure would have stopped working, since there would be no people left in the capital. It's cruel, but it's true and it's wartime. The problem is that Aegon, as king, failed to convey to the people that they were starving because of Rhaenyra, staged a public execution and fired Otto. Aemond can no longer do anything, because the mechanism has already been launched and a riot was inevitable.
I don't think they're trying to make Aemond evil, but the normies will think he's evil. He is cruel to his brother for personal reasons, he fired Alicent (which I support him on) because she loves Rhaenyra (Alicent actually had a chance to end the war in episode 3, but she loves Rhaenyra more than her children). Aemond brought Otto back because he knows that his grandfather is the best Hand.
I feel bad for Helaena the most. I really believed that she would be on the small council. Ewan talked a lot about Helaena: “She is good with books and money.” I'm really upset. We weren't even shown the Dreamfyre. Why does Alice Rivers have more screen time in the Targaryen story? Where is Helaena's coronation?
Alys Rivers is absolutely disgusting to me. She's a maniac on the hunt for Targaryen sperm. She drives Daemon crazy like a brain parasite. I hope people stop romanticizing alysmond, because the same thing awaits Aemond.
Sylvia was offended that Aemond no longer came to her and did not pay her money, so she decided to spread lies about him that he was throwing a feast in the castle. Even Diana doesn't believe her because she served the royal family and knew Aemond's character. Sylvia is not a hero, she owns a brothel. She abused (ra**d) 13 year old Aemond and I'm sure other children too. She manipulated Aemond, and when he left, she decided to take revenge on him.
Rhaena was given the Nettles line, which is quite disappointing. Once again the writers show that in TB this is the Mary Sue team. The writers actually decided to remove the cool character because they didn't want to ruin daenyra.
Helaemond is pain. The writers decided to gaslight us. The entire written plot in the first season was destruction, all the potential was destruction. Ewan and Phia say that Helaemond was not in the scripts, but I don't believe it. There are many scenes and hints in the second half of the first season.
House of the Dragon is truly a complete disappointment for those with critical thinking skills. The scriptwriters' favoritism is not even hidden.
Bring back Miguel! He is the only one who knows how to write a script and characters!
We have two more episodes, but there's not much hope.
p.s.
Aemond showed Larys his place and immediately understood his manipulation - the best scene of the whole season.

Why do you hate Cregan?
i just think his vibe is just atrocious and annoying plus he’s 23 but can i get y’all to agree with me if i say it’s because he was going to die for rhaenyra and yet usurped baela targaryen and then caused his own bloody succession crisis with his ten children by three wives due to his own commitment to keeping women out of power. team black’s strongest soldier is running up 8x team greens numbers why

I’ve always found it interesting that of the lowborn/bastard women in the DotD, Marilda is the only one who doesn’t get slandered and insulted in the Westerosi history books.
Speaking specifically about the women who were rumored to have had affairs with noblemen, the women (Sara Snow/Alys Rivers/Nettles) in particular get derogatory descriptions for various reasons. The men they are linked to all either die or are unable to do anything about the rumors (Sara: her rumored lover Jace dies and her brother Cregan is far away in the North when those rumors become a thing in the South years later/Alys: her rumored lover Aemond dies and her son is obviously too young to do anything about the insults people are saying about his mother/Nettles: her rumored lover Daemon dies). Regardless of whether any of the rumors were true or not, it's still the women in the relationships who were described in a negative manner. Even men like Aemond or Daemon don't get as slandered, despite their more controversial actions.
Sara may or may not have existed (the fact that her existence alone is doubted speaks for itself) but in the history books she is described as an "unwashed" bastard. Even the fact she was a virgin at the time of her affair with Jace is called into question. Alys gets descriptors like "slattern" and "cow". She is reviled as a seductress and witch who would sacrifice her own children. Nettles gets insulted as well, both by characters around her and the maesters/septons recording the histories. Beyond the classism, there is also a racial angle to the insults with her skin colour always being at the forefront when she gets called "dirty" and "creature". It’s unfortunate but Westerosi society is unfair to women, especially those of a lower social class, and so they do often have to rely on the men in their lives, whether that’s a male lover/husband, their father, brother(s) or son(s) as a source of protection. Characters like Sara/Alys/Nettles don't get that protection.
Then you get to Marilda's descriptions in the book, and it's completely clean. Not a single insult is uttered against her despite her supposed involvement with two different Velaryon men. Whether her affair was with Corlys or Laenor, it occurred at the time when they were married men. Laenor is dead by the time when he's claimed to be the father of Marilda's sons. But Corlys is alive and well. Not to mention, he's a very well respected figure in Westerosi society. That being said, I can’t see Corlys doing any major PR control here since he does not have the means to do so.
Alyn, however, could ensure his mother did not get negative remarks. He's the one said to have fostered close ties to the Citadel and a positive relationship with the Faith. On more than one occasion, he was anointed by the High Septon himself, which is something that's typically reserved for the King or his Kingsguard. So I think Alyn might’ve used that influence to his favor.
While Alyn does seem like the type who doesn’t care much about what others think of him, he clearly respects his mother so I doubt he would want her to have a bad reputation. Even concerning the rumors of Alyn's potential affairs, the maesters are somewhat dismissive about them and call the rumors "unreliable". They don't give much credence to what third parties are saying on such matters. As for Alyn's mother, she is spoken of with nothing but respect and even flattery at times.
History is truly written by the victors.

Frankly, people who are in mode : But why are you shocked that Daemon has incestuous problems linked to his mother ? It's a show about incest !!!
Its stupid.
Sorry but do your research. The Targaryens do not and have never had this type of incestuous relationship. This never happened and it's as disrespectful as ever to the source material.
Not to mention having the audacity to make Alyssa Targaryen, a cool and strong female character, appear for the first time on screen, through a sexual dream imposed on Daemon by Alys who rapes his mind.
Yes because I feel like people intentionally forget that these dreams / visions are not Daemon's will but Alys literally violating his mind. Daemon was 3 years old when his mother fucking died...
Without forgetting everything I've already said here :
This is not good writing, and no, in general there is no criticism against incest and the trauma that may be linked to it, in GRRM's work as I said here :
And here :

Something always grinds my gears about the narrative that hotd is a feminist telling from both the writers and the audience who use it as an insult because it chooses to neglect for the sake of naming the thing and relating to the culture the fact that feminism, especially in media can't be analysed by the definition alone.
Feminism occurs in both waves and theories. The writers and reviewers sight nothing but the name itself. Hotd isn't based in Marxist feminism or liberal feminism and I'm not entirely sure anyone who says it's feminist can tell me which wave it belongs to, what theory it is. This is a bigger issue with the trend of political critiques turning into buzz words and then depending on how the culture sees the word, into a marketing strategy to relate to the audience.
I know the hotd writers are guilty of this with the constant reference to American political figures and narratives when describing characters in such a concerning way.
I don't think that this is a problem with only this show but this show is falling short with audiences because what they deem as feminist rather than tying themselves to any definition outside of the cultural one and then applying their own perceptions of feminism into the narrative.
This leads to a lack of clear definition and a gross oversight, which in turn leads to a historically masculine space salivating over the failure of feminism and attempted intersectionalism as though it's the real thing.
House of the Dragon as it is written doesn't subscribe to feminism. What it does is have writers from the Imperialist West who are raised in an individualist society and the cultural influence of the waves of feminism recorded that they lived through and leaned towards based on personal experiences (sidenote I hate acting as though I know the writers personally, and can judge them as people, this is just a framework that can be applied to Americans.)
The writers have biases that influence what they write, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but because it's marketed as a feminist show, it's fundamentally failing its audience.

I cannot quite understand why people tend to believe in the most outlandish rumors about Aemond's lavish sex life in season 2. I admit I made this mistake myself, assuming the "tiddy sucking scene" would actually happen. Ewan never mentioned he was gonna have explicit sex scenes, but just a nude one. I think the fact Aemond turns to his abuser for comfort (I'm guessing he will probably intend to have sex, since he undersses , but wouldn't be able to perform -which makes sense, given the Madam traumatized him; it would btw debunk the milf hunter theory, lmao) is shocking enough. He also said Aemond wished he could have gotten more unconditional love from his mom and sought "surrogates". Not lovers. Not sexy milfs. People who saw episode 2 claim there was no sex at all. Maybe at the end of the day, it would turn out Aemond's brothel scene is much like that situation with the Unsullied dude, going to a sex worker so that he could lay his head on her lap? I think Aemond's brothel scene could actually be an one and done situation (because later on, he's gonna be busy getting ready for war). Besides, there are characters like Aegon, Ulf and Gwayne, who frequent brothels in FnB. It just doesn't make sense to assume Aemond is gonna be the only person, having nude scene(s) in se 2. If I say my bother's neighbor's brother-in-law personally knows Sarah Hess, who told him that in episode 5, Aemond would marry Jaehaera, will you believe me? I sincerely doubt!
I think there are a lot of fake spoilers about Aemond. I can't be 100% sure that "that scene" will or won't happen. I'm starting to think that the scene in the trailer is related to later episodes because Aemond starts wearing his hair down. But I'm not sure of anything.
Many fans believe that Aemond is a milfhunter, they decided this because Aemond slept with Alys. But we also have a rumor that Alys slept with Criston. Aemond kissed all Borros' young daughters. I think the story with Aemond=milfhunter is fake. I'm also sure that his love with Alys is a fake story. Alys survived only because of her abilities.
As for the scene with the madam in the brothel, I think there will most likely be a mirror scene to the scene of Daemon and Mysaria, or a conversation scene, or a mirror scene to Jon and Melisandre.
If "that scene" happens, then Aemond will no longer be taken seriously, his character will be destroyed. Besides how disgusting it is that Aemond is in contact with a woman who did it a 13 year old kid. How old was she then? Was she 35-40?🤮
