I wanted to walk around Scala. I wanted to admire all the little canon worldbuilding details. I wanted to see all the different beautiful pieces of architecture they had set up, like the big gates, the towers, the arches, the plazas, all from different camera angles. I wanted to talk to the npcs and learn about the culture and what daily life is like in this era, how their systems work, what they complain about, what kinds of questions they might ask you. This is the first time we’ve seen Scala with other people living in it. The beta was already so beautiful and rich with lore just waiting to be explored, and it still might be, but it won’t be the same if it isn’t your own character and your own eyes experiencing the city

Meaning to show as commission:Eclipse and Bloodmoon is facing the most chaotic problem was the bride of solar eclipse which is I mean you know what all serial killers/monsters do have brides? Branham bride of Dracula, Bride of Chucky and the other horror movies have it too. Anyway so I had to give Eclipse one as new serial killer couple but for Bloodmoon is highly jealous of him oh boy 😰

in general:

I think the precise chronology/when exactly the discussions between Odin and Vidar happen is a super interesting topic.

We know Odin delayed declaring the upperclassmen missing for like, a full week, so tbh no matter when you think those take place those are fascinating.

Like, considering the lack of postmarking them as being a week ago or what have you like the other scenes, the one where Vidar came back to say 'goodbye' (either due to going on the test that happens, and thus before Hoder loses her life) but gets derailed/cut off by Odin talking about true darkness is. a lot.

Like, if you think it happens before the upperclassmen leaving:

-Odin already knew some awful stuff was likely to happen. This is backed up by Baldr's properly timemarked thing where he says the way the upperclassmen's test is being handled, it sounds like the teachers don't think all of them will come back.

If you think it happens after/happens after the upperclassmen go 'missing', on account of there being no formal time mark on that specific to indicate any other time than 'exactly during the main timeframe indicated, just elsewhere':

-Vidar respects Odin deeply enough to still try and make a formal 'yeah leaving forever bye' before going off on his attempt to avoid slaying Baldr (against Odin's advice, at that), and still gets interrupted/cut off like that.

As a kind of private joke, whenever I listen to the old Searchers’ tune “Needles and Pins”, I likes to change the titular refrain “Needles and Pins-uh” into “Ezio Pinz-a”. Those new KH4 screenshots of Mickey in a (Scala?) library got me thinking that this would be a Cool and Dramatic way of revealing YMX in Quadratum, if this theory ever ends up being true. Cutting back and forth between Mickey in Scala and Sora in Quadratum, the tension and intrigue rising with each cut, and then finally the both of them realizing the exact same thing at the exact same time.

Plenty of others have already depicted a meeting between Sora and YMX in this fashion, where Sora is down in the dumps in the rain and YMX shows up out of nowhere to help him, but I love this concept so much I decided to just do the same here.

Before the fall of Scala, there were rumors that Master Brain had a journal where he kept notes and sketches of all the portraits he eventually added to the palace gallery. No one ever dared to read it without his permission. They relied on the plaques below the portraits for any information.

But surely, someday, someone would read it. Maybe multiple people would. But Scala has been empty for a long, long time. The journal has collected dust in an abandoned tower for far, far longer.

They never had a family photo all together. But Lauriam showed me one of him and Strelitzia, and then all the leaders had a portrait taken. I think they’d be happy with this, in spite of everything.

Lauriam, if you’re somehow reading this, I hope you found them. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there to see it like you hoped.

Ven, if you’re reading this, I hope you’re together. I hope you’re safe, and I hope you’ve been able to grow up past everything. You’re a good kid. And yeah, I have to admit, you did grow a backbone.

Strelitzia, we never met. But Ava trusted you enough to pick you and your brother really cared for you, so I’m sure you’re amazing. I hope you’re safe and I hope you’re together. I don’t expect you to forgive Ven, but if you can, I know you’ll get along. He’s a good kid for as much grief as I gave him.”

But no one has read these words in long time. The only words so many knew were the ones engraved on the plaque below.

I haven’t posted anything here, but I do love myself some writing as well as art. I even have an Ao3 (TeaAndFics04).

The idea came to me (and my gf) that Brain could very well undertake painting to cope with his loses. Imagine the drama of everyone finding his work, and all that jazz.

Either way, it is of my belief that Lauriam saw Ven as a little brother in some way. It would also explain why Ven later latched to Terra to have an older brother figure. It would also explain why Marluxia is so nice to Roxas when there was no chance of him being part of the coup. Buried memories and all.

Finally, Tarax comes from Taraxacum- the scientific name for Dandelions. It fits since 1. They’re dandelions and 2. Flowers + A Wayward Wind = Dandelions.
