When I was writing for the band, I had four guys to satisfy, the label, the manager, the fans… I had to juggle that. Then I made the album I wanted to do. The hardest thing, and I'm sure the boys would agree with me, is finding your identity. We have to reinvent what we do. I couldn't keep the band's genre of music because it doesn't sound like me enough. But the advantage of having lived for the past twelve years is that it has given me a lot of writing material.
