Fic and Schedule/Prioritizing Update!

Love me some damn possum memes

So! Fics right? What I’m trying to prioritize right now are a Croc comfort fic, Croc smut request, Buggy the hat stays ON, and Straw Hats and the Three Unwise Men x marine reader. Running concurrent with that are chap 2 of Coronary Tale, part 3 of TLC massage, and ABO Law x reader x Penguin x Shachi. There’s an ungodly amount floating below those too 🥴 Luckily some progress has been made!! Just no completion yet lol

I am going to try and let the AuDHD demons have more leeway in hopes that it may get at least fucking sOMETHING done so there will likely be more posts of shorter and more random things going up. One of the reasons I’ve been nervous about that besides the hubris filled and doomed to fail pursuit of perfection but also because of self imposed guilt around productivity in general as well as worrying that it would come across that I’m shirking the bigger stuff and more importantly the things I’d like to make for people.

The things I see getting down the quickest that aren’t in the writing priorities are more sketches, one piece crochet, a dumb fun Shanks headcanon/drabble post, a layout of an AU I headed a bit back and have been building on, and ideas/plans for a distant Sabo fic that’s like a canon divergent AU (esp when it comes to celestial dragons there will me Many Liberties)

My second and third gigs have been asking more than they generally were and I recently had to step in on an orchestra to help my teacher and I’ve been keepin my folks and grandparents houses runnin on all the off spots so I have been struggling to find time and also mental space to create those I desperately want to 😭 I’m very frustrated with it because I feel I should be doing better at that cuz it’s not like I’ve never Gone Through It before 💀 I am at least quite lucky that I’ve been able to shuffle it all around health stuff just enough to keep it all rolling and esPECIALLY lucky my main gig ain’t firing me for health issues interrupting work. I digress though - mostly just a little vent and idea of where my attention is currently spread. I’m gonna try and push to get more out slightly against better judgement because yes spend more energy when big burnt out Bad but also creative things are supposed to help mental health and other stuff aint doin it so why not 🤷🏼‍♀️ if it gets worse that has its own perk at this point 💀

haguenau is for lovers was me deciding to shoot for the moon after 1) meg wondered out loud about a webgott week (after injecting webgott into my brain), 2) i zoomed in on lieb reading sunday comics, feverishly tore through the stars and stripes archive only to realize that easy was in haguenau during valentine's week 3) caoimhe said, "haguenau is for lovers" and it sticking into my brain permanently.

that is to say, i am so very lucky to be friends with people whose thoughts are so infectious and always brilliant. would like to take this time to thank the people who held my sweaty hand all throughout my first stab at organizing a fan event.

shoutout to my laptop, photoshop, my secondhand wacom tablet that's been roi-ed the fuck out since november, my two hands, and futura condensed (1940s print would be NOTHING without you). thank god none of them decided to give up on me during event prep and proper. (and to my bubs who had to literally listen to me scream and yap about this from beginning to end. you are a saint. idk how i got so lucky to be with someone who supports my being a fujo wife with dead ww2 vets)

really wanted to keep my modding this on the down low, largely cos idk!! i just wanted the focus to be on webgott and the event, but also bc i knew this whole thing couldn't have come together because of a singular person, or even moreso, a singular interpretation of the ship. so i felt the distance was necessary. though i am proud, in a small way (im allowing myself a lil' bit of it), of being able to create a bunch of things for a pair i've fallen in love with, and for a group of people who hold so much affection for them.

all that to say! im glad to have made things with love, and (tw: cheesy as fuck) im only really able to do that bc im surrounded by people who love so beautifully. thank you all from da bottom of mi heart. if u read up until here. thank you for that too. ♡

bros before hoes ✰ chapter 06: new MCs in town

The contrast of your stylist’s cold fingers against your warm face feels jarring, giving you something else to feel other than jittery nerves.

You concentrate on the way she carefully places each strand of your hair, pushing and twirling it to perfection. You watch the mirror intently, observing the way your face transforms. 

It feels natural, like stepping into your home after going on vacation. 

But even your intense focus couldn’t deter the course of your anxiety, mind swarming with what ifs. 

Being on stage had never scared you. You’d been performing for as long as you could remember, from school shows to award shows, the stage has always been your safe place. But today it was different. 

Although you had done several run throughs with and without Sunghoon, going on stage to MC gave you butterflies. 

You vaguely hear your stage queue as the stylist helps you, adjusting your outfit one more time. You like it, it’s simple, yet classy, and gives you enough confidence to not turn back and run away. 

As you get closer to the stage, you spot Sunghoon. You can’t help but gasp at his appearance, decked to match you. It makes you heart race and your cheeks burn, and you swear you fall a little bit in love with him. 

You stand next to him, nervously shuffling and un-shuffling your cue cards. He gently places his hand on yours, halting your moments. You turn to him in shock, only to be greeted by a calming smile. 

‘It’ll be fine. Don’t be too nervous, you were great during our rehearsals, you’ll do well now too.’ You smile at him, grateful for his presence. 

The music cue begins, and suddenly you’re emceeing with the ease. 

You remember to laugh in all the right places, ask the right questions, and welcome each artist. Every second is a bit of a blur, the time flying. 

Soon enough you’re off stage, letting out a huge breath. Your shoulders relax, body hunching over in relief. You can hear Sunghoon laugh beside you, joining you as you walk back to your dressing room. 

He smiles, ‘You were a natural up there! You did so well.’ You smile in response, glad to hear his natural voice again.

‘And you were incredible too. I thought I’d-’ Your words get cut off as Sunghoon comes to an abrupt stop. Following his line of vision, you instantly spot what got him to stop.

Tsuki. There she was, in all her pink haired glory. For a second, everything feels weird. And then you’re swept off your feet as she hugs you, laughing in your ears. 

‘Y/NNIE YOU WERE SO GREAT ON STAGE! I watched the entire thing from my phone while waiting for you, oh I wish I could’ve seen it on the big monitor!!’ She looks at you with a bright smile, hugging you again. 

Laughing, you hug her back. ‘Thank you Tsuki, that means the world.’ You smile at her, glad to have her with you. 

You finally realise Sunghoon standing towards the side, twisting his rings again. He looks wide eyed, the tips of his ears a flaming crimson. He awkwardly clears his throat, waiting for you to introduce him.

‘Oh! Tsuki, Sunghoon. Sunghoon, Tsuki!’ You smile brightly, swallowing everything you felt. 

Sunghoon raises his hand in timid greeting, face somehow turning even more red. Tsuki seems oddly skeptical, waving back to him. 

She bows slightly, ‘Nice to meet you, but we have to go unfortunately! See you next time.’ She drags you away into the dressing room, shutting the door firmly behind her. 

You want to be bothered by her weirdness really, but as you move to change for the rest of your schedules, you are too happy to care. Today was a success, and you were determined to carry this feeling with you for the rest of the day.

There were too many people here. Lumina couldn’t think. There was too much going on. Noise. Movement. Heat. More than once, someone knocked into her from behind. She couldn’t stop flinching when someone laughed too loudly nearby.

Fox-face took pity on her eventually, letting her sit on one of the benches near the edge of the pier.

The sea-breeze ruffled her hair, the salty smell of the ocean calming her frayed nerves. She sighed, leaning back in her seat as she absently rubbed her stomach. All this anxiety couldn’t be good for the baby.

“Hello.”

Jumping, Lumina looked up. It was a young man. Tall, brown hair, warm brown eyes. He seemed familiar, for some reason. She couldn’t place why, though. “Hello.” she said quietly, looking down at the ground again. She didn’t know if she should be talking to him at all without one of the trio around.

She heard him step forward. “May I-”

“Darius!”

She flinched as Cruella approached. Side-eyeing the two, she watched as Cruella hugged the man. At least he hesitated before hugging her back. That made Lumina feel better for some reason.

Darius… She knew that name.

It came back to her now. He was the one who gave her the choice. Back before she was with the trio. Rehabilitation or jail. When she was still the HQ’s captive, she’d overheard that he’d wanted to help her. But they’d sent her to the trio instead.

‘What would that have been like?’ she wondered. ‘Being with him instead?’ Maybe he wouldn’t have hurt her. Maybe he would have been kind. ‘Just a wishful pipe dream.’ she scolded herself, pulling herself back to the present.

Darius moved away from Cruella, his smile looking almost pained. But he ignored Lumina now, his eyes focused on Cruella. Figures. “Hi, Sarah. How have you been?”

As Cruella started chattering, Lumina tuned her out. Darius, too. Her gaze fixed back on the ocean. It’d been so long since she’d gone swimming. When she was with the Company, she’d taken a week off every summer just to swim in the ocean. Never far from land, though always away from any people or boars. Just her and the sea.

It made her ache, remembering it.

“I’m sorry again for what happened during our ward’s assessment. I really don’t know what got into her.”

Cruella’s words broke though her thoughts like a knife in her chest.

Looking up, the other two seemed to be in some kind of a stand-still. Cruella had her fake sympathetic smile on. And Darius… Lumina couldn’t read him. Like the last time she’d seen him, he was impassive, deceptively relaxed. She only knew he had to be thinking something behind that mask, planning something.

“I’d rather not discuss that here.” he said. He was quieter now, an edge to his voice that made Lumina shrink back. Which he must have noticed because now his gaze was fixed on her. Deep and probing, like before.

She quickly looked away, guilt flooding into her very soul. ‘Please, just kill me.’ she thought to herself, to the universe. He’d been so kind to her on her arrival and now he looked at her like that. Expressionless. Unmoved. As if whatever Cruella had done to make her botch her assessment, she must deserve that look.

A horrible thought occurred to her. Had she hurt him somehow? Or someone he cared about? Cruella’s words made it seem that way. Or worse. She didn’t know what could be worse, but it might be. Gods, what had she done?

A scream from the other side of the pier dew all of their attention.

“My baby! Oh, my baby!”

“I dunno Trin, the thought of being recorded for 12 hours of the day, like, I enjoy my privacy”.

“Think about it as an opportunity, having the fans see a different side of you. Showing them how hard you work your ass off.”

Trinity is my best friend, she helped me out so much when I joined the WWE 6 years ago. She and her husband Jon took me into their family and helped me adapt into the crazy world of being a WWE superstar.

“Just think about it is all I’m saying. It’ll be fun” trin says nudging me.

Ever since I moved here, we have had a weekly tradition of Wednesday Girls Night, its just snacks, Chinese takeout, and movies, it’s just time for us to catch up and wind down from the gruelling travel schedule.

Right on queue at exactly 11:30pm Jon walks in the door.

“Times up ladies” he says, which is swiftly followed by two pillows being thrown at his head.

“Come on uce, you know better than to interrupt gIrLs NiGhT”

The couch beside me dipped and once again I felt the heat from the body of Josh Fatu, my one weakness. His hand falls to his side and creeps closer to me caressing the side of my bare thigh. You see what people don’t know is Josh and I have an ‘agreement’ - no feelings, just sex and friendship, and it was going great until it wasn’t, feeling were caught, specifically by me and I’m stuck between a rock and hard place as I’m falling hard for him, but I cant let this agreement end because I would rather have him this way than not have him at all.

“Spoke with Joe today, Hunter is bringing him up to the main roster, can’t wait to have my other younger brother fighting by my side”. A third pillow is thrown at Jon from the direction of Josh.

“We are twins, and you are only older by 8 minutes”.

Never a dull moment where the Fatu boys are concerned.

Hi there, my names yn, I am currently on the Smackdown roster and I am the current WWE Women’s Champion.

I’ve been with the WWE for 6 years now and I wouldn’t have survived if it wasn’t for my adoptive sister Trinity, she took me under her wing and I’ve been there ever since. As you guys know – and if you didn't know, the accent should be a huge giveaway, I’m originally from the United Kingdom, I came to the states with a dream in hand and no one there to help me through this bumpy ride. I can never repay her or Jon for the way they have accepted and welcomed me into their little dynamic. Although, travelling the world with Jon and Josh is hard work, they boys are chaotic, I don't know how Trin managed to do it herself for so long!

Friday Night Smackdown, Atlanta Georgia, 8 weeks before Survivor Series

Walking into the arena for Smackdown I get a message from Hunter asking to meet him in his office. A mixture of anxiety and curiosity fill in the pit of my stomach. In his office I’m met with the familiar faces of Jon, Josh, and Joseph, smiling I look over to Hunter who invites me to sit.

“I got your message, what’s up?

“We have been toying with the idea of a cross brand rivalry - for Survivor Series. Now that Joe has come up to the main roster, we think the Usos and Solo v The Judgement Day would pique interest from the WWE universe.”

“So why am I here?”

“Demi is the Women’s World Champion and part of Judgment Day; it would only seem right that she faces the Women’s Champion”.

Without hesitation I accept. Hunter debriefs us on how it’s going to play out over the next few weeks. We will have to be on both RAW and Smackdown over the next few weeks, so looks like it will be me and the brothers travelling together since Trin is exclusive to Smackdown!

Gorilla, few hours later (TD segment)

Tonight, I have a singles match, however Demi has to interfere and cost me the match – thus starting our road to Survivor Series.

I see Hunter in his usual place over at the screens with his headset on talking to Randy Orton, Randy spots me and immediately comes over to me.

“There’s my favourite girl.”

“I wouldn’t let your wife hear you say that Randy”.

Randy Orton, he is exactly how you would imagine him to be, a cocky little shit, flirtatious as hell, a menace but he has a heart of gold. Many nights we would hit the gym together and training with him before his injury really improved my in-ring ability. He is another one I would call my family away from family.

A familiar scent fills my nostrils, Josh. He stands next to me wrapping his arm around me pulling me closer, as if to stake his claim in me.

“I’ve been looking for you, come on let’s go”.

I smile apologetically at Randy, he just waves me off laughing, as much as I say people don’t know anything about me and Josh, it’s not to say there isn’t rumours flying around, people have their own take on it, and that’s okay, we just laugh it off.

Trin and Jon (TD Interview segment)

“You see yn and josh think they are so slick hiding their little late-night rendezvous” says Jon

Trin sighing, “I just wish they would bang their heads together and realise they are meant to be. Think of the double dates we could finally have Jon.”

Jon’s laugh fills the small interview room, “yeah it would be sweet, and yn is already like family, it would be an easy transition.”

Away from the cameras

“What were you talking to Randy about?” Josh quizzes

“Nothing, you came in and ushered me away before I could say anything.”

“Good, I don’t like it when you get attention from other guys, just me, okay?”

“I think you’ll find Josh that I can speak to who I like”. I say frustrated with his behaviour.

You see as much as I love Josh, this, this right here the way he wants to have his cake and eat it too drives me insane. I so much as look at another guy and he is right there to remind me I’m his, yet he can look at and speak to as many girls and I can’t say shit.

“I’ve got a match to get to, I’ll see you later J.”

“Goodluck out there baby girl, not that you need it.” Before he can come any closer to me, I slip out the room and let my frustrated sigh out. How much longer am I going to keep torturing myself.

Your posting schedule is so interesting! How do you manage to wait months, or even a whole year, before uploading something? I don't mean that in a bad way at all—actually, the opposite! I'm genuinely curious about your process: how you come up with ideas, how you develop them into posts, and just how your brain works in general. <3

First of all– thank you! That's very sweet and kind of you <333

Second of all: I don't do this willingly at all, it's just that I'm a generally anxious person and publishing posts just as I've made them is very anxiety inducing for me pfftt. It's actually not *that* bad anymore, but it definitely was when I started posting on Tumblr, a long time ago, on other blogs from other fandoms, when I was a lot more self-conscious about my English just among other stuff; the habit of postponing posting to double check posts again just stuck.

I also simply really want my blog to be curated. It's my nice place where all the things I want to keep record of are, neatly labelled and organized. That's why I want to be able to check up my posts several times before posting, have time to notice any typo and so on (usually backfires because I get so used to reading a post my eyes will automatically skip over a typo, but eh). And sometimes my brain is just *something something abandonment issues Akutagawa* *compilation of x* *meme y*, stuff that I take note to make but maybe don't have time for at the moment and that keep track of so I don't forget later. Some times analysis look very bad when putting them down for the first time, and I need to polish them up; other times new ideas surge, and I end up doubling the size of a post. It's just a way to curate the posts that “works for me”; except, it does have its downsides, mainly posts getting obsolete if I'm posting them after a year has passed, or even the fact that at times I simply change my mind on some takes. This also helps keep my blog clean from negativity a lot of times, since looking back at rants more often than not I will go - uh. this really doesn't need to be posted -, or unfunny jokes. I think some 20% of the posts I make end up not seeing the light.

Since the queue can only hold up to 1000 posts (and like 60% of that for me is blocked by posts “I'm posting later” that have been there since this blog began. But whatever), All my original posts and reblogs go in the drafts (there's. A lot of stuff in there.) Once in a while I will dig dig dig in the drafts and refill the queue. It takes so long. About that, I just ran out of April 2024 posts

In truth, I just have a lot of neurospicy stuff going on. Like... Remember when I used to organize all my queued reblogs by category, always publishing them in couples of fanarts, textposts, same character, colours, and so on? I did that for more than two years on here. It was a nightmare, it was so pointless and time consuming, and yet it was a fixation so hard to overcome, and I still often get the itch to do that when I set my queue lol. Likewise, I always set my posts to be posted on the nice timestamps (multiple of tens, every half hour, hour quarters and such).

I don't know if that's what you were asking? There's a lot of stuff going on in the space of posts / drafts / queue pfffttt. In regards of how I come up with ideas, it's really hard to answer </3 There's no pattern I can recognize, I just navigate a lot, read a lot, and think a lot about it all. A lot of times inspo comes from fics; they put the characters in scenarios, and even though a lot of times I will perhaps disagree with how the characters will act in those circumstances, it's very thought-provoking, because it challenges me to reflect on how I believe they would actually act, and why is that. If I look back at my posts, a lot were inspired by a word, a sentence, a concept I saw in some other fandom creation. I really believe and uphold fandom being a mutually inspirational space :)

I will eventually run out of things to say tho ahah. If you look back at the dates of my post, The first year, there were days when I made even four posts. Right now, posts from April 2024 are being posted, and it's just one post per day. If we look at 2025, I've only made five posts in May (although, there's two more posts I plan to post soon. I suppose it's all really a lot complicate ahah).

I'm not here - kinda

After a lot of thinking, I've decided it's time for another break from tumblr.

By the end of June I'm gonna be moving houses, so I'm gonna spend most of June packing, unhauling stuff, signing paperwork, having meetings with construction workers among other stuff which along with my real like 9 to 6, writing my OG novel, writing fic and try to not neglect my relationships with my friends and my girlfriend I think I'm gonna cut down my time on tumblr.

Of course once I'm at the new house im gonna have to set everything up, plus get my dogs used to a new schedule - and since one has an anxiety disorder and the other is a husky i don't think it'll be an easy feat, so I'm gonna take time off until mid August, when I'll return in time to help my friends run the Evan Buckley week Event.

I'm still gonna lurk around, and more than not reblog stuff that I'm tagged in - even if i don't have the beans to read it all right away - and I plan on at least writing everything I owe to the people who have been donating to Congo, Sudan, Haiti, Yemen and Gaza, plus whatever other fics my brain lets me focus long enough on to write.

I'll be using my three queue tags during this time, and I'll try to reply to my DMs and asks when I have the time, but for the most part I think I'll be gone.

Hello, I am looking to post my art on tumblr but I am nervous too, do you have any advice? also you’re art is lovely and inspiring

thank you!! posting art online can be pretty difficult, i often have a lot of anxiety about it too lol 💀 BUT there's a few things that i've found have helped me a lot! first is that you gotta let go of the hustle mindset of getting as many notes as possible and just make whatever you enjoy. full disclosure, this is something that will probably be pretty hard if you're just starting out, because it does suck to see something you worked hard on get very little engagement. so to counteract this, i suggest also sharing your art with friends or any smaller communities your in! that way even if something doesn't get much response on tumblr, you know that your friend group or people in the art channel of a smaller discord server think it's cool anyway.

second is that you should try out the queue/schedule post functions on here! if i ever feel anxious about posting my art (which is. often), i'll just schedule it to post the next day so i don't actually have to press the dreaded post button right then. truly a game changer for me

a PSA about requests

okay. i don't want to give anyone else anxiety about it because i know how that feels, so i want to say a couple of things about asks.

i am a very slow writer. very very slow. sorry.

if I decide to not answer your request, i will make a post about it or just respond privately if you're not on anon. so i will try to let you know if i'm not going to answer it.

i do reserve the right to refuse a request for any reason, but it's honestly very unlikely that i will refuse your request as long as you follow the rules.

if you check my masterpost, there is a line underneath where it says my requests are open that tells you how many are in the queue. for example right now i have 3 requests to answer. so you can have an idea of how long before i will get to yours.

my plan moving forward is to adopt an every other day schedule for my writing. so today i worked on requests, tomorrow i'm going to work on my projects. if something comes up or i decide to take a rest day, the schedule will shift forward. i.e. if tomorrow i find i can't write for whatever reason, i will work on projects the next day instead of requests. this way i hope to do both, but may need to close my askbox if i get overwhelmed.

Hello, hello my lovelies. I'm not sure if you noticed but I have taken the ask box away. I am aware I am running behind schedule. I took a weekend to hang out with an irl friend and it put me behind. I haven't even fully answered people's dms (the one I'm working on replying to is longer than a lot of my commissions), I haven't been getting on Discord, I haven't been able to work on the queue. I know this and honestly, am starting to have panic attacks about it and that's especially brought on by some of the anon messages, both the regular hate and the questions about when I'm going to start posting again, asking if I got this or that request because they haven't seen it answered yet and are worried tumblr ate it, or the most recent anon offering to jump on here and write with me on the blog to help with activity. Even going with the assumptions these anons (and one not anon blocked now) are all acting with kindness and good faith, it's just a little anxiety inducing. Hello! I have a question for you about requests/Patreon. I have seen a couple of accounts have commissions via Patreon, but I thought making money off of copyrighted material was illegal. Even if it is the author's writing, the characters and world (Show, book, movie) are copywritten. Just curious because I remember back in the days when authors like Anne Rice went after people who wrote fanfiction about her characters.

If I can answer them I certainly will.

So technically the act of writing fanfiction itself is copyright infringement so none of us should be doing it. For me personally if artists can make fanart and get paid for it, why can’t writers? That’s where there has always seemed to be a bit of elitism. People have and have had no problem with fanartists building Patreons but there’s upheaval when writers do. It’s an interesting double standard.

That’s how I reconciled it in my head. I did not and do not make a lot of money from my fanfiction work, I think the most I’ve made in a month is £30, I think it’s down to around £20 now. Sometimes people donate to my kofi and I think that’s pretty damn nice of them.

For a long time I was on the fence about starting a Patreon, here’s a little bit about my decision to start a Patreon:

After I had my mental health breakdown I was really struggling financially as my work were stingy with sick pay. I was in the position of if I quit my job, I wasn’t entitled to any benefits from the government because I didn’t class as being ill enough to be supported by them. (This was bullshit because my PTSD/anxiety/depression was insane, I became agoraphobic for a while – I lost 2 & half stone, I isolated myself I couldn’t sleep – there was no way I could look for a job/attend interviews and all the jazz that came with that)

What I was doing was creating content because it was the only thing that kept me sane – this is why my queue is always booked up a month in advance because I was generating so much back then I was scheduling 4 months in advance and beyond. Literally it was the only thing I was doing.

I did and do a hell of a lot of content for free (asks, my own storylines for characters) it seemed fair at the time when I was really struggling to ask for a financial contribution where people could help me out if they could afford it. And people did and I honestly am forever grateful to those people because they will never know how much they helped me.

I did quit my job as that was a huge factor into my illness and started my own business as an editor, book coach and marketer which has been fairly successful but I still earn a hell of a lot less than I previously did hence why the Patreon is still helpful.

I think if you aren’t earning fuckloads from it you’re able to fly under the radar, if you’re drawing in thousands like I know some people are in very popular fandoms then you’re more likely to get spanked as it’s seen as a depreciation of income to the original concept (book/show/movie)

I also think the way I sort of run my Patreon is kind of holistic in a way as everyone will still get access to those fics, you’re just paying for early access. They are not exclusive to Patreon or tucked behind a paywall forever where you can’t read the next part of your fav series (which is what a lot of Patreons do).

On the topic of fanfic and making money, there’s authors out there that who actively market their own work as based on stuff like Criminal Minds (Dr Rebecca Sharp) – how she hasn’t been hung, drawn and quartered by Disney I’ll never know. She has literally stolen actual eps and written them into her books.

I think a lot of older fandom writers remember the Anne Rice drama and are terrified because of it but I don’t think that’s as prevalent as it once was. 50 Shades of Grey started as a Twilight fanfiction, no one has sued E.L James for it.

I know for a fact that some tv show writers do check in on fanfic to take the temperature of their audience. It’s not publicly acknowledged but it can be good market research.
