Shownu would be a little confused when he saw you flapping your hands while having your earbuds in playing music at loud volume.

As he looked at you with a slight confused look he tapped your shoulder softly and asked "what are you doing baby?" And when you explained that you are autistic and that this helps with the sensory environment everything made sense to him.

Minhyuk

When he saw all the non verbal ways to communicate (like boards, picture binders and more) he was kind of confused so he asked about it.

When he asked you about the ways to communicate non verbally you just giggled and said "oh, I'm autistic, even though I can talk , sometimes I go non verbal and this is how I can tell the people talking to me how I am feeling and more!" He just smiled at you and just hugged you tightly.

Kihyun

When he saw you eating one of your safe foods is when he would ask cause you have been eating this food for 4 days in a row.

He looked at you with confusion and said "didn't you have that for last 3 days baby?" When you giggled and explained that your autistic and that food is one of your safe foods he smiled and would try to give you more food to try.

Hyungwon

Hyungwon honestly might have had feelings about you being different from the start, in a good way of course, and would randomly ask if you were different from others.

When he asked the question you were honestly shocked and said "yeah, I'm autistic.. why do you ask?" And he smiled softly at you and simply a lot of things made more sense.

Jooheon

Jooheon would notice that you haven't be taking proper care of yourself (not because of you hating yourself, because you genuinely forgot to) and he would ask about it.

He looked at you with a pout and said "baby~ why haven't you been taking proper care of yourself you haven't showered in 3 days! I'm really worried about you.." and saw your genuinely shocked face he was also surprised, when you explained that you need a proper schedule he smiled at you and immediately started making one for you to follow properly.

I.M changkyun

I.m. would immediately start doing research on how your mind would work and how to help you, he would ask after you calmed down from a meltdown.

He would be kind of scared to ask what was going on with you and so he said "you ok baby? Is there any way I can help?" You nodded with your weighed blanket on you and explained that you are autistic and that the environment that you were in was to much to handle he would immediately start researching on autism.

Hoseok/wonho

Wonho would be extra soft with you! He would do anything to make sure you are comfortable, even If that means eating the same thing 5 times a week.

He looked at you in shock and said "that food again? We had that 4 times already.." with a slight pout on his face, you explained that you are autistic and that you needed to eat this food a lot, he smiled and simply ate it again with you cause he loves you.

Working graveyard shift, I’m used to seeing bizarre characters. I didn’t expect to see two heavenly attractive vampires, who bring up a strange proposal.

A/N: I know there were photos of Kihyun and Hyungwon in the original post but the first paragraph kept getting copied twice, I kept editing it and it wouldn’t go away. Blame tumblr.

Graveyard shift at Fairy Trade. I don’t know how this store hasn’t gotten out of business yet. The late night hours is a redeeming factor. Out of the whole street of shops and restaurants, we stick out like a sore thumb, but mostly because we are locally owned and have a fantasy aesthetic. I told my boss to renovate, or to at least change the stone floor to hardwood, but he refused.

Being one of three employees, I’m always stuck being overnight shift, which is my fault since I’m the only one willing to be around occults. I wouldn’t have a problem doing the shift, but then they assign me for afternoons too!

I’ll bring it up to management tomorrow, because my sleep schedule is affecting me hard. I’m reading through a book to look for energy boosting spells. So far, nothing that I haven’t tried before. It’s not like I’m busy during this shift, the only customers I get are vampires doing blood runs or fellow spellcasters grabbing last minute supplies.

The bell by the door dings.

“Hi, I’m here if you have any questions” I sweetly greet, eyes still glued to the book. I hear some murmuring in the isles. Instinctually, I look up to see who’s whispering. Two handsome, dark dressed men. I see a glimpse of their faces and my jaw drops. The taller one, who has slicked back black hair, wearing a black turtleneck with black jeans, has stunning grey eyes and plump lips. The shorter one, with mousy brown undercut with full bangs, wearing a satin button up under a black velvet jacket with slacks, has strikingly green eyes and a sharp jawline. They glance at me, then continue murmuring. I should be afraid of being outnumbered by a couple of vampires, but there’s emergency devices under the counter incase of a frenzy. They walk to the race section, out of my line of sight.

The tall one approaches the counter, suave with his hands in his pant pockets.

“Hi, there. May we get some bottles from the cooler, please?” he softly requests. His voice is a little raspy, but intoxicating. Without saying a word, I grab the keys for the blood cooler, my eyes locked onto his. He follows me to the blood cooler, towering over me. The shorter one, who is still taller than me, waits patiently at the cooler.

“Wow, you’re prettier up close” the shorter one greets. I almost drop the keys from shock. The tall one coughs to get the other one’s attention.

“I’m sorry, where are my manners? May we get some bottles, please?” the shorter one smiles.

“How many?” I smile, unlocking the cooler.

“Four bottles, please” both men estimate. I hand them two bottles each and relock the cooler. I can’t understand why vampires like these bottles. I heard it’s excellent quality, but I wouldn’t know since I’m not a vampire. We meet back at the counter to check them out.

“Anything else for you two?” I wonder before typing the prices into the register. They both shake their heads.

“Are you doing alright?” the shorter one asks, tilting his head.

“What do you mean?” I pause.

“You look tired” the shorter one points out, looking at the counter. “Energy spells?”.

The taller one elbow jabs him. Out of embarrassment, I close the book.

“I know something far better than those silly little spells” the shorter one continues.

“Let me guess, it’s to turn into a vampire?” I joke.

The taller one chuckles while the other one scoffs.

“No, but it does involve us” the shorter one flirts, flicking his eyebrow. I’m intrigued. Wait, these are vampires, this could involve murder for all I know.

“What’s all involved?” I ask for clarification. Both men glance at each other. That’s not helping my skepticism. 

“Depends on how much you want it” the shorter one smirks. The tall one bites his lip to keep silent. We process the transaction. I hand the shorter one the receipt.

“I don’t know” I mumble, troubled. “What will happen to me?”.

“You will be on top of the world” the taller one surprisingly comments.

“What my brother here means, is that you won’t need those spells. For energy, health, and strength” the shorter one nervously laughs. My eyes widen, if I wasn’t interested before, I am now.

“I still don’t know” my cheeks burn. The shorter one takes a pen from the cup and scribbles on the receipt.

“Call me when you change your mind” he shrugs. I take the receipt. They wave goodbye, take their bottles and strut out of the shop.

Book of Fangs? Sounds familiar, I might’ve stocked it a while ago. Skimming through the shelves and I find a copy. I flip to chapter four, paragraph three. Vitality rituals? 

An act of sacrifice. An exchange of power...based on the exchange of...oh. OH. Sex for the exchange of blood? Is this book a reasonable source? I guess it is.

For best results, the ritual must be performed with the whole clan per mortal partner.

Of course it is. I don’t even know how many members are in his clan. Wait, what am I saying! It’s sex for the exchange of blood! They could kill me! Although...those two are handsome. I could give him a call for more information…

Dialing his phone number, I wonder how desperate I am for a boost. He could be lying to me, using this as a trap to kill me. He wouldn’t be stupid enough to trick a spellcaster, would he?

“You took longer than expected. I like that” Kihyun answers. The hairs in the back of my neck stand.

“Hello to you too, Kihyun” I greet, swirling on my stool behind the counter.

“So what do you say, beautiful. Are you in?” Kihyun chuckles.

“I have questions first” I halt.

“Do tell”.

“Is the ritual really sex in exchange for blood?” I hesitate.

“Yes. Drinking blood during an act of protected sex” Kihyun explains. Protected sex makes it a little more comforting.

“The book says that the ritual could be done with the whole clan” I add, leaning on the counter.

“Correct, but isn’t necessary” Kihyun confirms.

“So the potency is determined by the amount of members in the clan. How many are in your clan?”.

“Ah, curious, are you? My clan is just us seven men”. Seven men? In one night? I subconsciously close my legs.

“And you promise this won’t kill me?” I change my tone to serious. I may know some spells that could kill them, but that would be pointless if they slash an artery.

“There is a chance of the ritual turning fatal, but we are careful about safety”. So they had experience doing this, that’s assuring. “You have the power to stop it at any time”. That’s even more assuring.

“You are aware that I’m a spellcaster and are capable of hurting you, right?” I sass.

“I like that about you. You’re not scared of us” Kihyun chuckles. 

“What’s there to be scared about?” I flirt.

“Baby, don’t tease me just yet, I could come back” his voice deepens. I drag my nails on the counter, releasing some tension.

“How about I come see you?” I laugh. Oh shit, what did I just say? Who have I become!

“Sounds like a date. Tomorrow night?”. I could feel his cocky grin through the phone. I choke on my words. Did I really just ask someone on a date? A group sex date?!

“All eight of us?” I swallow my fear.

“All eight of us, but don’t worry, beautiful, you’re in good hands. We will take good care of you”. “I might get a little rough, though” a little growl rattles the phone.

“Good” I unknowingly exhale.

“You like it rough, baby?” he sounds a little surprised. I internally scream from realizing he heard me.

“I-I” I nervously laugh. He softly shushes.

“It’s ok, I’ll find out tomorrow. Till then, just imagine my teeth biting your soft neck while I’m deep inside you”. I dramatically inhale, rubbing the top of my thigh. Did I imagine him saying it, or did he actually say it?

“Talking dirty on the phone? That’s bold of you” I catch my breath. He inhales through his teeth.

“You imagined it though, didn’t you?”. I wonder if he’s all bark...and no bite? Ouch, that’s a bad joke.

“Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t” I snark with a smile.

“I know you did, but I shouldn’t keep you distracted. I’ll see you tomorrow, beautiful” he concludes before hanging up. I put my phone on the counter and blankly stare to mentally process the proposal. Do I really want to have sex with seven men in one night? For what, vitality? I’ll need a boost just to get through it! He said it himself, the ritual doesn't necessarily need all the members and I could stop it at any time. Let’s see what happens tomorrow, I guess.

Ahead of the much-anticipated concert event, (which was postponed to this weekend after originally being scheduled for July 27), the K-pop group chatted with Billboard over email about everything from the first music they ever purchased, the dream concerts they'd want to attend, what's left on their bucket list as a band, their devotion to their fans (known as Monbebe) and more.

1. What’s the first piece of music that you bought for yourselves, and what was the medium (CD, vinyl, digital download, etc.)?

Shownu: I remember buying Kim Bum Soo's album One Day as a CD.

Minhyuk: I bought a full-length (regular) album of Korean idol Sunbaenim.

Kihyun: A CD of SG Wannabe's 1st album, and that was my first CD.

Joohoney: I used to listen to a lot of songs as MP3 files.

IM: What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

2. What was the first concert you each saw?

Shownu: I don't remember exactly, but it was probably Ne-Yo's concert in Korea.

Minhyuk: Hmm, the solo concert of Kim Junsu. It was amazing.

Kihyun: It was a concert by Kwill Hyung, a singer from the same agency as us.

Hyungwon: I guess it was a concert of YG singers (YG Entertainment).

Joohoney: Bigbang Concert.

IM: Psy Sunbaenim's concert, which is famous for being super high tension, was my first concert.

3. What was your dream job when you were little kid?

Shownu: Swimmer, office worker and singer.

Minhyuk: I’ve always wanted to be a singer.

Kihyun: President, scientist, pastor, etc.. I had so many dream jobs I wanted to be when I was young.

Hyungwon: It may sound very unexpected, but I had a time when I wanted to be a lawyer.

Joohoney: When I was really young, a soccer player was always on the side of my mind.

IM: I thought about becoming a scientist.

4. Who made you realize you could be an artist full-time?

Shownu: I think it can be simple and easy to start what I want right now, but it was the fans who really made me think that I could be an "artist."

Minhyuk: I think I've convinced myself that I've wanted this job so badly.

Kihyun: Friends or people around me helped me dream of having this dream and become a singer.

Hyungwon: I think I came to realize it because my parents supported me a lot.

Joohoney: Since I saw Michael Jackson’s stage. I think that’s the moment I’ve wanted to be an artist full-time.

IM: I liked to sing, and I started to have a dream of becoming a singer.

“Is that how you feel?” He asked.

His reaction caught you off guard and you found yourself speechless. 

“Y/N,” he said and looked down before he spoke, “I’m not sure where you got all those accusations from but don’t you think you’re throwing them at me a bit too soon?” He asked.

You closed your eyes and took a deep breath. You wanted to calm yourself down before you spoke again. The guilt washed over you. You felt really bad for what you said. “I’m sorry,” you said, ashamed.

Why did you ruin every good thing in your life? What would he think of you now? You lowered your head and felt apologetic for even bothering him. He didn’t deserve this anger you had locked all up inside yourself. 

He went up to you and lifted your chin slowly. The tears ran down your cheeks as you opened your eyes again. But he didn’t look mad at all. His gaze looked at you with warmth. 

“I have no idea what you’re struggling with and I’m not saying I’ll ever understand but let me help you with what I can, and I’ll do my best to understand. Even if it means you just need someone to listen,” he said sincerely.

The look in his eyes made you believe every word he spoke.

“I’m sorry,” you whispered. “I didn’t mean to offend you. I don’t know why I said that. I just feel overwhelmed right now, and I’m sorry for letting it out on you,” you continued, “Forgive me.”

You couldn’t grasp the thought of losing him. Without him you would only be left with all of your problems and they would eat you up. You wouldn’t be able to get through every day. Although, it probably was a bad idea to let him distract you from reality, you felt too weak to want otherwise.

“It was my choice to follow you home even when I saw you weren’t in the best mood. Don’t worry, okay? I want to be here for you,” he responded.

“Thank you,” you said. 

He let go of your chin and pushed your forehead back playfully, “Now, let’s get you home and sobered up,” he said with a smile.

That day, he listened to everything you had on your mind. The following week he made sure to call you every now and then. And little by little you opened more up to him. You told him about your struggles and desires, and he listened with care and joy. With time, you also asked him about himself and his life and he slowly opened up to you as well. He had told you that he struggled with being lonely the past few weeks, and that he felt joy helping others when he could. But the reason why he invited you out was not because of that. He pointed that out because what you said had bothered him. He wanted to make sure that you knew he decided to invite you out because he thought you were attractive. When he was told by Hyunwoo that you had some interest he couldn’t hold himself back from asking you out. 

It’s been two weeks since that day at the bar. You had received flowers and notes from him on different occasions, reminding you to cheer up and to remember to take care of your health. His small gestures filled your heart with warmth and happiness. You hadn’t got to see him because of tour preparations, but you tried to show your appreciation as much as you could. You had used some of the time, when you were waiting in-between shootings and meetings, to braid a bracelet. You didn’t realize how happy you had become before everyone around you started commenting on it.

“You have ten minutes,” your manager said with a warm smile.

You had asked for permission to stop by Monsta X’s preparation room, and you quickly nodded your head before heading towards it. When you arrived at the door, it was open.

“Y/N?” Minhyuk asked, when he saw you.

“Uh.. I..” Before you could say anything, he interrupted you, “Looking for Hyungwon?” He asked. 

You gulped, a bit taken aback that he knew. You didn’t want the information to get into the wrong hands. But you could trust Monsta X, right? They were close friends, almost family, with Hyungwon and you couldn’t imagine them ever wanting to hurt him in any way.

“Yeah,” you replied shyly.

“Give me your hand, please.” You told Hyungwon, after the two of you found somewhere private to talk.

He did without hesitation, and you pulled up the bracelet from your pocket and placed it in his palm, “It’s for you,” you said.

He looked at it and the corners of his lips raised a bit. 

“Don’t laugh,” you said and frowned, “I know it’s not that pretty...”

“It’s pretty,” he said and put it on his wrist. You smiled when you saw it fit him perfectly. 

“Thank you for the flowers,” you said.

He smiled, but you could tell something was bothering him. He noticed your worried eyes and stroked your hair. 

“Is everything okay?” You asked.

It looked like he was deep in thoughts. He didn’t respond, which made you look at the clock and realize you were late for your schedule. 

“Call me, okay?” You said. 

He slowly nodded his head and you waved at him before you walked away. How weird, you thought.

Hyungwon knew that he wanted to protect you. He had noticed his feelings for you and your feelings for him kept growing. He didn’t want to let it affect you. He feared your relationship with him would be the end of your career.

“Shownu!” You called as you saw Hyunwoo.

He turned around surprised and his eyes scouted the room. “Y/N!” He said with a bright smile, when he saw you.

“How are you?” He asked.

“I’m good! Thanks, how are you feeling?” You asked, walking up to him.

“I’m great. I can’t believe we’re almost done promoting your album. I bet you’ll miss seeing this face everyday,” He said, giving you a cheeky smile as he lifted his sunglasses.

“You bet your ass I will miss that face of yours,” you said with a laugh.

“Really? But I guess you’ll miss a certain face more,” he said with a lifted eyebrow.

You pushed his shoulder lightly, embarrassed.

Hyunwoo had turned out to be a protective, responsible and positive person that you could rely on. He felt like an older brother, and for some reason he made you feel safe.

“I actually meant to ask you something,” you trailed off. You felt like he was the only one you could talk about Hyungwon with. 

“Anything,” he replied.

“Hyungwon seems a bit off. So I want to surprise him before tour starts, but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea. Do you think he would like it?” You said.

“Sure he would. But what do you mean, “off”?” He asked.

“I just noticed he looks more tired than usual,” you said as you recalled how worn out he looked a while ago, “I don’t want him to overwork himself or worry about anything that is out of his control,” you said, thinking about all the problems you had told Hyungwon about.

Hyunwoo clicked his tongue, “Hm, maybe I should speak to him?” He said.

“You don’t have to,” you stated, “But can I ask you for a favour instead?” You asked.

“Depends,” he said skeptically.

“I was wondering if you were able to secure a free schedule for Hyungwon someday before tour? It’s for the surprise,” you said.

“Count me in,” He said with a wink.

You smiled, “You’re the best.”

He grinned, “Always.”

Hyunwoo succeeded in managing a day off for Hyungwon. However, it was the day before you had to leave for tour. You didn’t want to bother Hyunwoo anymore and appreciated his help. You thanked him and contacted Hyungwon. 

Somehow, Hyungwon seemed really cold, when he agreed to meet up. It made you feel a bit more insecure and nervous but you hoped for the best.

You turned the lights off in your room and crawled into bed. It was going to be a long day tomorrow, you thought. It was unimaginably hot so you had pulled out a nightdress and decided to wear only that so you felt more cool and comfortable. Your mom would usually tell you to sleep naked if you felt hot but it made you feel a bit uncomfortable, so a nightdress was perfect for you. Tomorrow, you had to pack your stuff for the tour and prepare your surprise for Hyungwon. So you had to get plenty of sleep tonight.

As you closed your eyes, a sudden knock was heard on your door. 

Your eyes shot up. Who would be at your door at 2 am? 

You felt a bit scared and listened. Maybe the person would just go away? 

You heard the knock again and got up. Were you supposed to keep quiet? You gulped as you walked closer and slowly got the courage to speak.

“Who’s there?” You asked.

“It’s me,” you heard someone speak. 

You would recognize that voice from a mile away.

Jooheons girlfriend reached the dorm the excitement didn’t leave her body, after the recent events. She was so proud of her actions, the smile plastered on her face didn’t fade even for a second. The devastated look you had was like a reward for herself. She ringed the bell and soon after a man in his early 20s opened the door, not looking amused to see her.

Changkyuns throat tightened as he saw the woman in the doorframe, he wasn’t in the mood to greet her.

“Jooheon is in his room” he left the entrance and walked straight to the kitchen joining Kihyun and ignoring the woman.

“Hello everyone!” she cheerily greeted the remaining men, while she walked past them. She got ignored, she didn’t cared and made her way towards her ‘boyfriend’. She knocked at the door, coffee still in her hand, ready to give it to him. The music from the opposite side got turned off, Jooheons legs dragged him towards the door, unlocking it and revealing a cheery woman with a big smile all over her face. Like a mirror, his smile replaced the frown and he invited the woman into the room.

“Hi Honey! I brought you some Coffee!” the fakeness in her voice stayed unnoticed by the man. Jooheon wasn’t in the right state of mind, his mind felt dizzy and blurry.

“Thanks Jagi. How do I deserve your presence at this time of day? I thought you’re busy and had to work extra.” Jooheon took the cup in his hand, noticing the familiar label between his fingers. Giving no more thoughts into it, he sat down onto the seat he was previously sitting in. He was actually glad that his girlfriend visited him, maybe she was able to distract him from his unbearable thoughts.

“Plans got cancelled and I thought - why not visit my Baby-Honey?”

Her Honey...

The nickname too familiar and leaving a bitter aftertaste in his ears. The word Honey lingering in his head with your unforgettable voice. He stared at the cup, not looking at the woman in front of him.

“Did something happen?” Her voice brought him back to reality, snapping his head towards her. He directed a small smile at her, hiding his opposite state.

“No I’m fine, I’m just a little tired. I just got back from the studio and was sitting here trying to memorize the lyrics that have been going through my mind.” He lied, to her, to them, to you, to himself.

“You should drink some of your Coffee, It may wakens up your brain-cells a little and helps you remember the lyrics.” Her fake smile grew bigger, he ignored the salty taste he got from his girlfriends words and took a sip of the warm and creamy drink.

The taste was too familiar, he recognized it right away, the smell gave itself away. The sweet taste of a caring person, a warm hug, a comforting warmth. The strong taste of coffee mixed with a cream enhanced by a perfect amount of fresh honey. It’s not too sweet, just like his taste. Your smile mirrored in this cup of Latte, your face flooded his mind, a knot building up in his throat. A stinging pain right through his heart, his mouth becoming dry. His eyes stared down onto the cup, searching for a message you’d normally leave for him. But there was none. Sadness overtook him, regret filling his upper body. Tears started welling up in the back of his eyes, waiting for release. But he wouldn’t let them escape he had to be stronger and fight them. He needed to let you go, he had to. You were no longer his and he was no longer yours. You left him with his feelings alone, you were the first who fell in love with someone else and not him.

He hated you for playing him like that, he thought he meant more to you. He was wrong, he needed to distract himself from you, to find someone he could give his love to. But it was too hard for him, his yearning for you became even stronger, the only way he could go is to replace his love with hatred. At the end, his hatred wasn’t towards you, it was directed to him. He lost his small hope to bring you back into his arms, he missed his opportunity to get back close to you.

And he regretted it.

“I met Y/N at the cafe.” his girlfriend reached for his attention and catched it right away, after your name slipped through her lips. Jooheon hummed in response, holding the cup tighter and did not spare a look at the woman next to him.

“She seemed pretty happy, she also told me a lot about Wonho. It seems like they started a thing. It’s obvious since they spent so much time together right?” And that’s when Hyejin got him. Jooheons jaw clenched together, his face becoming stone hard. His eyes glaring at a spot in the room, still avoiding his girlfriends gaze. He don’t wanted to show her how those news really affected him, so he wouldn’t hurt her feelings. He got even more mad and frustrated.

“Wasn’t she with Kihyun first?” Jooheon spat those words out with so much disgust. Her smile grew bigger.

“I don’t know, maybe she’s hooking up with both? I guess for her one is not enough.” her teasing brought Jooheon over the edge, he was enraged. He wanted to confront you and his other members. But they would only question him.

He’d like it more if you wouldn’t show up anymore, to leave him and the members alone. But mostly his heart, you’ve been haunting him even more. Jooheon stood up walking towards the door, confronting you.

“Don’t! Why are you so fed up? Just leave her alone and relax. Y/N only stresses you, you should forget about her.” she stopped him, even though she loved the way he was ready to fight you. She wanted you to be destroyed by the man you love and make Jooheon her lifeless doll and the first thing she needed to get rid of are his feelings for you. She needed to separate you two and her plan was slowly building back up. Her success was close.

A few weeks past and Jooheon hasn’t seen you around often, it seemed like you disappeared. Good for him, that was the perfect time for him to actually start and get rid of his feelings for you. Even if it was too hard for him, sometimes he would debate with himself whether to give you a call or not. Or ask his members how you are, but his pride went against it.

You had some time to take good care of yourself, were you healed? No. Your heart was still in pain, but you knew you had to move on anyway, tomorrow or now, it didn’t matter but you slowly made it.

You had the strength to visit the dorm a few times when Jooheon wasn’t around. You were even able to visit the other members at the studio. Sometimes would Hosoek invite you to his studio, when he felt lonely or when he, Minhyuk or Hyungwon were bored and needed some entertainment from you. Changkyun grew kinda attached to you, since your mental breakdown. He  worried a lot about you and texted whenever he could to make sure you were alright. And Kihyun, he became more sensitive around you, always making sure that you feel great. His whole attention went onto you, he would look onto his phone more often, waiting for a message from you or a call to pick up right away. When you would visit the dorm, he would always prepare your favorite food or buy you your favorite snacks and drinks. Kihyun got too worried about you, after Changkyun confessed to him what had happened in the gym room.

Minhyuk suggested to have a night with some drinks and a great meal, since the past events were pretty exhausting and draining. All the members agreed and prepared everything. Jooheon was glad he could spend some time with the other members and even helped Minhyuk and Shownu to get the drinks or even helped Kihyun in the kitchen at some point.

“I’m so glad we are done for today and then 24 hours of freedom!” Changkyun dropped on the floor in the living room, followed by the others.

“And therefor we gotta have a drink!” Minhyuk was excited to release the tension from all those practice sessions and their overall busy schedules. He filled all seven cups and grabbed his, pulling it up to the air.

“Let’s enjoy and forget about all the worries tonight!” the sound of kissing glass erupted and cheers filled the room. The liquid got drowned by all, Shownu was the first to dig into the food. After the first bottles of Soju were emptied, the members got more relaxed and random topics filled the members heads.

“Who got plans for tomorrow?” Changkyun started, curious about the others.

“I’ll most likely sleep-in tomorrow and maybe play some video games. I’ll just relax.” Hyungwon was the first to respond, but his answer wasn’t really surprising to the others.

“I may visit my parents. I haven’t seen them in a while and you Changkyun?” added Shownu.

“I don’t know maybe play some video games like Hyungwon-hyung or going to the studio and make some music.”

“Yah! Why do you have to go to the studio all the time? We are free tomorrow and you choose to work?” Minhyuk nagged, not pleased by the answer.

“Hyung- “

“Let him do whatever he wants.” Changkyun got interrupted Hoseok

“Thank you hyung! But I’d would like to do something else though.”

“We could work out together and then go somewhere and watch a movie or so.” Hoseok suggested to spent the time together with the Maknae.

“Let’s ask Y/N-ssi if she'd like to hang out with us. Didn’t she said that she’s free for a few days?” Changkyun added.

“Sorry to break it to you, but me and Y/N are already going out together.” Kihyun interrupted the plan of the two men. Getting a side eye glare from a certain person.

“Oh really? Where are you going?” Minhyuk asked curious.

“Were going shopping and then we’re going to a cafe that opened a few days ago. Y/N heard about it and wanted to try it out.” Kihyun answered ignoring the angry energy building up from the person next to him. Jooheon tried his best not to be caught by his change of emotions and stayed still. His jealousy rose, he would go to new places with you. He would be the first to receive a text from you when you found something exciting.

“Uh! Sounds like a date” Minhyuk teased the male, with the intention of making the rapper a little jealous.

Minhyuk knew that Jooheon was still attached to you. Jooheon made it easy for him to see through his emotions. He wanted Jooheon to snap and accept his feelings for you and drop his so called girlfriend and he wasn’t the only one.

“Yah! Hyung! It’s not a date! We’re just hanging out like friends and nothing more. You know that.” Kihyun became a little embarrassed and his ears turned a little red. He got a bit nervous because of Jooheon. He did not wanted to get the male mad at him, for something that isn’t the way it is.

“Hey Kihyun! Can’t Changkyun and I join you two?” like knight in shining armor, Hoseok noticed how the anger started to well up within Jooheon and eased it.

“Good idea! Why not?” Kihyun catched up and agreed. But Jooheon wasn’t satisfied with it.

“Jooheon! What are your plans for tomorrow?” Changkyun tried to bring up something else, so the situation wouldn’t go too heated and end up in a disaster.

“I don’t know, I guess I’ll just stay in and do nothing”

“Aren’t you meeting your girlfriend?” asked Minhyuk.

“No she’s flying to Japan with her friends. Her flight goes tomorrow.” Jooheon took a bite of the food in front of him, hoping he won’t have to explain any further. Minhyuk nodded as a response. Silence filled the room, until Minhyuks phone went off and signaled a message. He looked on his phone finding your name on the screen, a smile creeped up on his face. The Maknae looked automatically onto the screen too, noticing your profile picture. His eyes flew over the chat between you and Minhyuk. He saw the picture Minhyuk send to you, a picture that he took when all gathered on the ground to take a group picture together.

“Who is texting you?” Hyungwon was curious too and leaned over Changkyuns back to look at the phone.

“Y/N just messaged me and wished us a lot of fun! She also said that Kihyun looks like a wet dog she saw on her way to work today” The three started to laugh while the said man got confused and reached for the phone.

“What? Show me! I don’t look like a wet dog!”

“Oh god! Kihyun you do actually look kinda on it!” Hoseok teased the younger one and all started to laugh again.

“What is Y/N doing now?” asked Changkyun.

“Don’t know, I’ll ask her real quick.” Minhyuks fingers worked fast, he received a message immediately.

“She just finished work and is heading home.”

“Why don’t we invite her over?” Shownu included himself gaining a few confused looks from the others. Minhyuks gaze switched from the leader to Jooheon and stayed on the rapper to wait for a reaction from him.

Jooheon lifted his gaze and met six pairs of eyes, waiting for a response of him.

“What? If you want to invite her, do so! I don’t mind.”

Why did I said that?

Why did Jooheons chest feel so weird all of a sudden? It was warm almost getting hot, he couldn’t tell if it was anger or annoyance. His heart started a race, beating too fast. Was he excited? No, it couldn’t be. How could he be excited to see you? He was supposed to hate you. But his heart won’t let him, he let those feelings slide away and ignored them. As if a button got switched, his mind got flooded with images of you. Your smile infected every brain-cell in his mind, his body missed you, his heart wouldn’t let go of you. His mind started to play with him, his system went crazy. His blood boiled, he was lost and had no way to escape until Minhyuk brought him back to reality.

“Jooheon!”

“What?” immediately snapped the said man his head towards the calling voice.

“You alright?”

“You drifted off to dreamland a moment ago.” Changkyun and Kihyun finished each others sentences. 

“I’m alright! I just need to drink some water.” Jooheon stood up and went straight to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and returned to the others.

“Should we really ask her? She might be tired from work” Kihyun debated with the others and seemed to be the only one against your visit. He wanted to avoid any uncomfortable situation, since Jooheon would be around you.

“Come on Hyung! She could relax with us, I bet today was as exhausting for her like it was for us.” Changkyun really liked the idea to have you around. He thought you were ready to meet Jooheon after that long time and maybe you both would be able to talk some things out and get rid of some misunderstandings.

“Text her!” the Maknae demanded his older friend to text you as fast as he could.

“I’ll just ask her if she would like to come or not. Don’t be too upset if she declines” Minhyuk typed again and waited for an answer from you. This time you took a bit longer to respond and left the message on read first. Minhyuk could almost hear you debating with yourself whether you should come or not. He eventually laid his phone back down and took a sip of Jooheons water.

Jooheon grew nervous and inpatient. His body didn’t reacted the way he wanted and it pissed him off.

The sound of Minhyuks phone catched the attention of all men.

“She’s coming” stated Minhyuk, happy about the positive respond. Jooheon got more frustrated with himself as excitement filled his whole body and his heart started to beat faster for the second time that evening. He felt like a little child waiting impatiently for his present on Christmas.

Kihyun grew worried of both of you, he prayed to God that there will be no conflict between the two of you. If it would happen, he would give the whole fault to the other members and would make sure they won’t see you ever again.

“How long will she take?” asked Changykun.

“Don’t know, maybe 20 minutes?” Minhyuk laid his phone back down and waited for your arrival.

A few moments past and Jooheons heart didn’t stop for a moment. As if he was sitting on hot stones, his body wouldn’t stay still. Every position he took was too uncomfortable for him. The members noticed his nervous state.

“You alright?” Hyungwon grew annoyed at the younger ones constant moving. Jooheon snapped his eyes across the table, meeting the mans eyes.

“Yeah, why?” a frown building itself up.

“You are wiggling none stop, like an excited puppy.”

“I’m not excited! It’s just uncomfortable to sit on the floor. -” The doorbell interrupted the small conversation, announcing you arrival.

“I’ll go” Kihyun jumped up from his spot to invite you in.

Adrenalin shot up through Jooheons body. His mind flooded with various questions. Will you talk to him? Will you ignore him? Will you act like nothing happened? Are you alright? Have you eaten well? How do you look like? Did you change your hair? Your style? He wanted to see you again, so dearly. Anger and hatred left his body, he missed you and he’ll not question it anymore. In this moment, he wanted to laugh with you, talk with you and be there for you. Taking back the role as your best friend. Jooheon forgot about his girlfriend completely, like she doesn’t even exist. He wanted you at this moment and he won’t ruin it.

Jooheon turned towards the entrance of the living room. Kihyun was the first to enter and was followed by you. Your smile got bigger as you saw all the rest and waved your hand towards them. As your eyes landed on Jooheon, your smile became smaller and uneasy. His heart didn’t took it great, it hurt. But that wasn’t the only thing that brought pain to the middle of his chest. He noticed how thin you became, how exhausted you face looked. The bags under your eyes became a dominate feature on your small face.

Jooheon waved back at you, nervous. You made your way towards the group, the only big space left was between Jooheon and Hoseok. Both men made some space for you, the rappers gaze followed your movements as you sat down.

Your scent filled his nose, it has been too long since your bodies were that close. Your shoulder brushed Jooheons, his skin tingled, wishing for more contact. His eyes wouldn’t leave you, he was lost. The surroundings becoming blurry, the sounds becoming muffled. You turned around, meeting his eyes. His heart stopped for a moment, his chest became tight. No air could enter or escape.

“Hi” that simple word snapped him back to reality, your plump lips formed a thin line. Your nervousness was visible and made Jooheon sad, he never wished to make you uncomfortable around him. He felt guilty, he ruined your friendship the most and he wanted to make it up to you.

“Hi, how have you been?” he asked carefully, he talked with as if you were made of thin glass.

“Great. And you? How’s your girlfriend?”

Right his girlfriend, he forgot about her.

“I’m great. I heard you passed that big exam? I know I’m pretty late but congratulation” he smiled, ignoring the question about his girlfriend.

Your smile came back followed by a nod.

“Here Y/N a glass.” Hoseok handed you his glass. You faced the man curious.

“Why are you giving me yours?”

“I don’t drink, one shot is enough.” He smiled at her, her smile becoming brighter and thanking him. Jooheons heart cried.

“Let’s have fun!” Minhyuk got excited and filled all glasses with alcohol. Everyone cheered and Jooheon still couldn’t leave his eyes from you.

I wrote this after I got bored of doing my Chemistry homework. I’d rather write than do hw tbh. Hope you like it <3

You have been offered a role in a movie and you’re so grateful. You’ve been wanting this part ever since the audition. You’ve worked hard and practiced with the help from your best friend. You knew that you would have a busy schedule with filming and promotions in the upcoming months. With that in mind, you promised your best friend that you’d hang out with him every chance you had before you left.

For the past month, Hyungwon and you have been hanging out every day, he’s also been sleeping at your place for the past week. You’re happy that you got to spend endless time with your best friend, however, tonight was your last night together. Your flight to the set location is in the morning. No matter how many times Hyungwon and you went over the script, you were nervous about being on set.

You were currently in your living room eating your favorite takeout with Hyungwon. You’re also spilling out your endless overwhelming thoughts about tomorrow that you haven’t taken a bite of your food.

“(Y/N) relax,” Hyungwon holds your hand to stop you from rambling further. As soon as you feel his warm hands touch your skin, your mind goes blank. You turn slightly to get a better view of him, yet he’s already gazing at you with a soft look. “I’ve known you for years now, I can guarantee that you’ll do amazing.”

You smile at him in gratitude. “But bloopers are always comical so it’s okay if you mess up.” He adds on. At this, the two of you chuckle. “Now, worry later and eat.” He lets go of your hand and grabs your food to feed it to you.

You take a bite, not embarrassed that he fed you. “You know, I’m going to miss you.” You voiced out to him. You weren’t lying, you’d definitely miss presence, especially since you’ve gotten used to seeing him every day.

“Of course you will, I’m awesome,” Hyungwon boasted, leaning back and pointing to himself. You rolled your eyes and threw a crumpled napkin at him.

“Yeah, only when it comes to sleeping all day,” you commented. He chuckles.

“You know what would be awesome, you becoming famous after this movie,” Hyungwon tells you. “All the celebrities you’ll meet, the award shows you’d attend, and the after-parties you’ll go to.” He rambles on and on. You listen to it nonetheless. You enjoy hearing him talk, it soothes you.

“With all that you say that can happen, it sounds like I’ll be pretty busy. Probably too busy for our monthly takeout and movie nights.” You teased him. You know that even if you were to become famous after this movie, you’d always make sure to be with Hyungwon whenever you have the chance. Without him, you wouldn’t have gotten the part.

“Well, if that will be the case, then . . .” he ponders for a bit and then looks at you. “Perhaps you'll take me out one day - or do I have to make an appointment?” He teases back, using a line from your character in the movie.

with jaesun he’ll either just say it or do it. he doesn’t really have to announce it and their relationship has reached a level where haeri just knows. for some there’s fear in that, for jaesun there’s comfort in having someone that knows him enough to know a look, or a slump of his shoulders. these days its from finishing up from his finals, his studies drawing to a close and his concentration waning. between that and a new place his affection comes in short spurts or full bursts. sometimes its all he can do, throw his arms around her and let the stress slip like that, with kisses littering her neck.

other times its in him slumping against his desk and trying to finish up essay after essay. those days he doesn’t say anything, those days he’s cooped up until he finishes and those days haeri calls it his ‘i need my girlfriend’ days. they’re less intense than the days she would cradle his knuckles when they’d be bruised and angry, or when she’d press her lips to the wrinkles in his brow and watch the anger bleed from his shoulders. 

it’s less intense these days, but still just as important. jaesun would be blinking to a bright screen before she’d settle in his lap, block his view and give him all the strength he needs with exactly what he needs. a few to his cheeks, a few to his nose, and a few to his forehead. 

sometimes its easy for him to fall back into his work after that and sometimes its easier to just fall into bed and ignore it for a few minutes. either way, its easier when he’s got someone like haeri that knows him down to the bone. 

and he’d have it no other way.

2. 

with sam, he’ll do. he’ll always just do. but for him there’s a look that precedes it. there’s never a specific place for it either or a specific reason, he’s just hit with the urge as he’s hit with the reminder. it’s reminders of affection that rush over him and for sam there’s no other outlet than to go ahead and act on it. 

it might be more for himself than he realizes, and it’s come across in the most domestic of moments. and jamie, she’s caught on for sure, and he can’t get enough of the way the realization flows across her face in pinks and peaches. she’s been wearing glitter eyeshadow lately too so that hasn’t helped. 

there’s the shine she normally has, the one where he wants to paint her for ages and ages, and there’s the actual shine that starts sparkling whenever the sun hits her right on their dates. or the twinkle in her eyes when its morning and she’s going over her notes by the kitchen counter. when she’s pulling up her hair and trying to get ready when she’s not even out of bed. when she glances up at him as she’s ranting about a movie choice to ask if he’s even paying attention. when she’s telling him about recent things, interesting things, anything really, practically leaning over a cafe table in excitement because they’ve been planning to visit there for ages.

sam’s caught in moment like this. 

he’s caught and when she catches him, there’s a split second, maybe a ‘sam don’t you dare’ in her eyes but shy mischief in her lips when he leans forward and does it anyway. 

in bed where they’ll fall back over and she’ll be a little late. in the cafe where she’ll swat him with a menu after and the waitresses will smile at them. during the movie until it’s forgotten in favor of the squeaks she makes and in the morning, by the counter before she just accepts it and goes back to talking.

with sam its just the comfort of knowing he can.

3. 

with hyungwon, there’s always a peculiar silence around it. he’ll never just do no matter how many times andrei entertains the thought, no matter how many times he’ll joke and tell him to just go for it. 

that’s the kind of boldness he’s never quite had and that’s why he and andrei complement each other so well. where andrei will saunter up and fit into his space, hyungwon will hover around, take quiet steps reminiscent of the kitten that’s now grown and finding ways to make their apartment his own. where andrei is content just reaching over, hyungwon mid-sentence or midway into an assignment and press a kiss wherever he wants, hyungown’s still somewhat shy to the thought.

he knows he can, they have their own place, he’s comfortable in his affection he’s just never been that affectionate, it’s just how he is. 

that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to be. and it especially happens after long bouts of working, a the end of a successful collection when he’s worked himself a little too thin and the adrenaline’s worn off. it happens when the parties have ended, the celebrations and the cameras gone, andrei either helping him tidy up their apartment from the aftermath of his workspace and stress.

it happens with hyungwon pacing around the apartment, following close behind andrei but not really helping, not really doing anything really.

‘you’re following me’, andrei will mention it sometimes, other times he’ll let it happens. he’ll wait until hyungwon just grabs something, an edge of his shirt, an end of his sleeve, his hand. the adrenaline’s gone by now and he doesn’t have to tug hard, or say anything, the touch is enough. andrei will pull him closer, sweep him up and give him all he needs without a word leaving his lips.

hyungwon gives the inch and andrei seems to know when to make it the mile, and that’s why he loves him.

with jae, she’ll say it. she will always say it, she’s rather forward about it as she is about everything.

it’s really a matter of hayeon indulging her or not. it might depend on where they are, on what eyes could be on them and then it would depend on what they’re doing. usually it’s just a matter of where they are, as jae has no care for things such as tact or manners as hayeon’s often told her. 

so, it leaves them with jae in the middle of handing out the beers and the trays to some of her recent hires, and stopping mid-sentence to ask hayeon for one. the new hires are busy staring with wide eyes and flushed cheeks as jae leans over the hayeon, who was admittedly minding her own business, to ask for one. 

jae has no reason for asking nor does she have a big need for one, knowing when the bar closes she’s free to indulge in as many as she wants, but it’s in her personality to play games like this. and it’s in hayeon’s nature to decide if she’ll indulge her or not. 

around the new kids she almost never does. or days when hayeon barely gets a foot in the door of the tavern and jae’s forgetting about a customer, bounding over to ask for one. she does it often and everyone around the tavern is used to it by now but she’s more importantly intrigued by people who hear of the place by word of mouth and are surprised at how free-spirited she can be. 

in these spur of the moment situations hayeon always maneuvers away from her. it’s either by sidestepping or going about her business. more often than not it’s when they’re in public. jae is not to insecure that she’ll say it’s about titles or about shame, she’ll merely laugh it off and continue about her day. things like this will roll off her shoulders because these aren’t the important ones. 

what’s important is knowing the intention behind everything. what’s important is that she knows hayeon past how she’ll act in the tavern or walking around town. she knows hayeon past short phrases and furrowed brows. she knows hayeon who helps tidy up the back when she’s running a longer shift in the front. she knows hayeon who is quick to shoo her towards her room for a break when she insists the newbies can handle it. 

she knows hayeon who would never deny her, when the day’s done and she’s less mischief and more want. she knows hayeon who doesn’t hesitate to meet her on the bed, wrap around her before she can even get the words out. that is what matters.

with soohyuk, it’s never said but it’s a routine now. it’s had to become a routine so when it’s missed he makes sure to grab hold of it. 

literally so.

they’ve never really been allowed a break from what they do, their passions requiring that they’re kept busy whether it’s perfecting their craft or looking for more work. there are times when their schedules don’t align despite trying their best so what’s become important has been waking up to say bye to one another and coming home to one another.

whichever one they can manage is a blessing and the time is coveted.

the times when they could wake up and eat together, make coffee and have a few moments before schedules kicked in, they were hard to come by. the times when soohyuk had enough time to leave his schedules and pick her up, often choosing to find a place to eat out together after, were also hard to come by. time with the two of them was always precious but it was always understood as hard to acquire, a product of their respective jobs and something they’ve long past accepted.

due to that they’ve found ways around it. 

it’s sometimes when he hears her, shuffling around in the morning and he’s willing the sleep from his body. when he knows she’s already been in the shower and she’s back tot he bed to grab all her items before leaving. sometimes he can grab it before she’s out the room, other times he’s got to grab it before she leaves the apartment. that often requires him to leave the bed but it’s worth it, the few steps behind her to wrap his arms around her waist before she reaches the door.

she’s used to it and her laughter is quiet and fond when she turns around to grant him the kiss he seeks out.

it’s the same when he’s up, filing through scripts or his schedule, with her flitting around because she’s meeting some friends for lunch. the times he can be home are very few and if he’s home he’s typically caught up in work. still - he knows the sounds she’ll make before heading to the door, he’ll hear the jingle of her keys and her voice, amused and frantic on the phone. that’s when he does it, catches her hand in his before she flies by.

she knows without even asking now and soohyuk only has to lean forward to catch her cheek after pressing two to her hand. hyuna’s all smiles and giggles before rushing out and promising to see him later. 

there’s comfort in this routine- comfort and heavy domesticity too. he could spend time thinking of why it’s so comforting or why he needs to do it, search where it’s possibly come from but that’s not important. what’s important is getting the moment that he can and fitting each other into every space they can.

I have a question for MBBs

To those of you who still think there’s a plan behind all this, that Starship has somehow made a meticulous plot that will bring Wonho back:

Do you honestly fucking think it justifies everything? 

Do you honestly believe bringing him back was worth torturing the other members with extensive schedules, censorship, grief and injuries? 

Do you genuinely trust that Starship had good intentions for the group when all of this conveniently took place at the same time as people started noticing the actual, real crimes of the VP and the CEO of the company, yet nothing bad seemed to happen to them but Wonho was kicked out within two three days after a RUMOR about him and Shownu was spread? A rumor that in the end had maybe 0,5% of truth in it and that truthful part of it was probably the least significant part?

Do you honestly think things will return back to normal after the remaining members realized they were not allowed to have EVEN ONE day of recovery time, not even one?

Within one day, they had to recover from the blow of losing one of their closest friends, practice six member versions of all their songs, wipe away ALL mentions of Wonho whatsoever, from their vocabulary, from their memories, from their content, and be prepared for 1) continuing their comeback, 2) preparing their season’s greetings, 3) preparing their English album and the following comeback concert string related to it, 4) filming and publishing a music video to their latest English single, 5) continuing Twotuckgom promotions, 6) promoting their future world tour, 7) preparing their Jingle Ball concert and those Chanel whatever shows, 8) participate in various music award shows, and multiple other shows I can’t even count now because I don’t fucking remember them all anymore. 

In one day they had to pretend Wonho never existed. He was kicked out of his dormitory within a week, his face was blurred or edited out from shows and they punished members who even hinted that they still did acknowledge his existence.

Let that sink in for a second.

All that happened because of literally no reason whatsoever.

And don’t you fucking forget that five of the seven members were already having physical injuries earlier that same year. That it wasn’t Jooheon who first showed signs of exhaustion, but before him Kihyun had had his ribs fractured, Minhyuk’s knee was hurting, Hyungwon was limping, Wonho had collapsed at the stage because of his dislocated shoulder and then countless of other smaller injuries they were never allowed to properly heal from, not even AFTER they were bombarded with ugly rumors and got members fired for fucking entertainment’s sake. And then after Wonho left we saw Changkyun actually ASKING Starship to let them rest, and DID THAT HAPPEN?

It did not. 

We fans showed them immense amount of support and love, we put together events, fundraisings, we gave them letters, we waved Wonho signs, we shouted his name, we covered their company building with notes and loving letters, and what did Starship do in response? 

Banned people from writing Wonho fanletters, punished Hyungwon for responding to one that had his name in it, told us we couldn’t mention his name in fanmeetings or we would get our Monbebe cards revoked forever. Pushed the members to continue like nothing ever happened and then joyfully told us, right around the same time when Jooheon started falling sick, that they were going to have a world tour, seventeen concerts in the US/Canada alone, how about paying 300 dollars for a good ticket and paying it in three four days after getting to know when and where it’s going to happen and how expensive the tickets will be?

How about some more concerts in a couple of days to celebrate their newest English album, the one that Wonho’s voice is in, but you know, we will absolutely never mention him again, but yeah concerts anyone? 

HOW IS THAT NOT MILKING MONEY FROM A GROUP THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FUCKING SUCCESSFUL NO MATTER FUCKING WHAT?

I know you would want to quickly forget and forgive everything, I know you would all love to breathe in relief after Wonho comes back and continue that same shit that was taken away from you a couple of months before. 

But I don’t know WHAT to tell y’all to make you understand that it was all a fucking illusion. That this group’s dreams were fucking shattered with overworking, stress, lack of sleep, lack of nutrition, lack of free time, lack of recovery time, and that it happened years ago already. That Starship started torturing them WAY BEFORE Wonho was kicked out, but that instead of them getting the rest and reflection time they deserved afterwards, STARSHIP DECIDED TO MAKE IT TEN TIMES WORSE FOR THEM, JUST SO THAT THE COMPANY WOULD HAVE A NICE AMOUNT OF MONEY STOLEN FROM THEM AFTER THEY MOVE ON TO THEIR NEXT NEW BOY GROUP AND THEIR PROMOTIONS.

I know you have been saying to not abandon six members and their dreams because of one.

I hear you and I ask you:

What makes you think this is their dream?

[ENG TRANS] Monsta X @Star1 Magazine November 2019 Issue Interview - FOLLOW, MONSTA X!

Monsta X met their overseas fans in 20 cities all over the world and wrapped up their third world tour successfully. The group finished the tour after five months and start to do their Korean promotion in full-scale. Monsta X is settling down as global idol through their big international fandom and their collaboration with famous international artists, such as wi..i.am, French Montana, and Steve Aoki. The expectation towards their constant growth and leap is increasing, as a group who broaden their stage to worldwide from Korea. Monsta X, who will start Korean promotion this winter after eight months, will show their improvement through their new mini album “FOLLOW : FIND YOU”.

How does it feel doing a photoshoot together with all members?

Minhyuk: We think it’s more fun and joyful because it’s been a long time since we shot a beauty pictorial together like this, beside jacket album photoshoot.

As beauty models, it looks like you prepared a lot so that the picture for the beauty pictorial comes out well.

Minhyuk: Because we are beauty models, we did many experiments so that our beauty pictorial will come out well. Basically, we pay attention to our skincare routine and looking at the other pictorials as reference for the sake of looking good visually. If we go to the studio for the photoshoot after learning for a bit, we’re able to show the pose more naturally in the studio.

You guys are active as beauty models, is there any Monsta X’s only secret method to take care of your skin at the change of season?

Minhyuk: The very first thing that happens in change of seasons is everyone’s skins become rough and dry. So we pay attention to the basics a lot. Especially, we apply moisturizer cream very carefully. Sometimes before sleep or when we wake up in the morning, we put on peel-off mask while moisturizing our skin. We spray mist occasionally while working to keep our skin moisturized. 

I.M: I’m the type of person who drinks a lot of water. It’s a fact that if you drink enough water, your skin would feel less dry. Also, even on days when we don’t have any schedule and our face is free from makeup, I always apply sunscreen. Even though the recent weather is cool, the sunlight is still hot so we need sunscreen. 

You’re going to have a comeback soon. You might feel nervous since it’s your Korean comeback after a long time, are you fully prepared for it?

Hyungwon: We anticipate it a lot since we will release a new album after 8 months. So we prepared a lot to show people our good side. It’d be nice if you are looking forward to our comeback. Wonho, Jooheon, and I.M’s self-composed songs are included in this album. Wonho’s self-composed song, “MIRROR”, is the song that he and Shownu performed on the recent world tour stage as a unit. I think fans would anticipate this song so much since this time we prepare it as the song that’s being sung by seven people. Shownu participated in writing the lyrics so it adds more meaning to the song.  Also, people will be able to enjoy the album more if they focus to learn the genre of “SEE YOU AGAIN”, Jooheon’s self-composed song, who previously showed various genre of music, and the charms from I.M’s self-composed song, “U R”, after the release of “MOHAE” that he composed in last year album. 

Shownu: Especially the title song “FOLLOW”, you can feel other different charms from Monsta X’s music up until now. The existing powerful vibe of Monsta X meets with a special sound and becomes a song with such a unique color. Besides, it’s certain that if you watch the stage together, you might enjoy Monsta X-like-style with your heart content. We finished our world tour and prepared the album so I felt the development of all the members.

You guys just wrapped up your world tour and prepared the album and it seems like we can feel the members’ development.

I.M: I think it’s true that various experiences allow for broad growth. While doing multiple overseas activities including world tour, I get to feel and learn many things. As we meet Monbebes from many countries, I get the feeling that there are so many people who love us. As much as my gratefulness for them, they make me determined to work hard to show them the good side of me in the future. Of course there are many people whom we haven’t met yet, we have to work hard so we can visit more countries, that goal becomes the stepping stone for our growth. Those reasons helped me a lot to think positively when we make a new album. Working together with international artists for our album influenced me a lot as well. The artists who receive so much love from all over the world like Steve Aoki, French Montana, and will.i.am, pouring great amounts of efforts and passions towards their own music. While watching them closely beside them, I think I know the direction Monsta X will take to move forward in the future. Even though I gained the lesson of musical skills, it went beyond that and made my thoughts about music get stronger. 

You’re receiving so much love from overseas. What is the secret of your global popularity? 

Jooheon: Actually since there are so many seniors who receive so much love from all over the world, it’s a big exaggeration to talk about the secret of our global popularity. But I think the reason why global audiences show their  interest in us is maybe because Monsta X’s music concept or visual. Monsta X is the group with the explosive energy on stage, that’s our attractive point. Our music colour is strong and the performance is powerful so when the fans see us, they’d think, ‘it’s so cool, the stage is full of fun’. Also in visual aspect, because we have solid and sexy vibe, that might be the reason why people love Monsta X.

What is Monsta X’s only method to overcome fatigue, since you guys frequently do world tours?

Wonho: When we are overseas, if the condition is okay, we go to good local restaurants and eat delicious food. It is one of our methods to relieve fatigue. Even though we can’t visit multiple places due to limited time, at least we go to one famous local restaurant and eat popular food. When we do that, it feels like we came for a trip and we feel happy. Also for me and Shownu’s case, we overcome our fatigue by going to the gym and working out.  But the most joyful method to heal the fatigue for us is communicating with Monbebe through live broadcast. Even when we’re overseas, we meet our fans by turning on the live broadcast at least 3-4 times a week. When talking with fans, even though I felt a bit tired or exhausted, those feelings disappeared, it’s so fun.

Are there any charms from each member that you want to take away from?

Kihyun→Wonho: When people think about Wonho hyung, mostly start to think about his muscular and sturdy body and also his work out hobby. But I hope people know that there are so many talents in him. You might already know if you listen to b-side tracks in Monsta X’s albums, there are many easy listening self-composed songs that Wonho hyung produced. The charm I want to take away from him is his skill of producing songs that are full of emotions. 

Wonho→ Kihyun: Kihyun has outstanding vocal and musical skill, but even without those skills, there are so many things that he is good at. For example, since his body balance is so great, when he does sport, he always wins. So even if he doesn’t sing and does things toward sports or physical education, he’ll be great.

Minhyuk→I.M: In front of the hyungs, I.M has energetic and cute appeals, yet on normal days, like when he works on his music or in daily life, he shows sensitive and genuine charms. I think I.M makes people feel at ease since he shows a calm and honest vibe. So I really like his naively honest side that everyone wants to be with.

I.M→Minhyuk: I like Minhyuk hyung’s ability to judge and understand something in a flash. When some problems occur, he grasps the situation quickly and he makes good decisions since he understands the situation.  We trust and follow those decisions as well. Also, he makes people around him feel delighted because of his cheerful and very bright personality.   

Shownu→Hyungwon: Hyungwon is very honest and has deep thoughts. So when we tell him about our worries, he listens well since he focuses on our story, and he gives suitable and wise answers for our worries. We lean on him a lot whenever we worry about something. He’s a friend who has unexpected charms since he is very bold and generous.  

Hyungwon→Jooheon: Jooheon has a personality that makes people around him happy. Because he is always smiling brightly and full of explosive great energy, he draws in a lively atmosphere whenever he goes. Also since he has good social skills, he approaches everyone in a friendly way and embraces those people well.

Jooheon→Shownu: Usually Shownu hyung is a trustworthy and honest person, but he’s also a witty and fun hyung. He has various charms, of course. Because he has warm nature, I think he makes people feel comfortable around him. That’s why it’s so nice being next to him. 

As a group of seven people with various personalities and charms, is there any hidden hobby you want to recommend to one another?

Kihyun→ Wonho: Hobby I want to recommend to Wonho hyung is rock climbing! His physical strength is already good by nature and since he likes physical strength, I think it'll be good for him. Also I want to go to a ski resort together with all members. It’ll be so fun if all of us gather together and ski.

Wonho→ Kihyun: I want to recommend surfing to Kihyun. Because both of us like active sports, I think it will be so great to go to the beach together, surf and eat delicious food.

Minhyuk→ I.M: I.M is good at speaking by nature and his English is great, too, so he has many cases of becoming our representative when we do overseas activity. Based on that, I think speech academy would be fun for him and it matches him well.

I.M→ Minhyuk: I want to recommend swimming to Minhyuk hyung. First, it’s counted as sport, and it’s a hobby that you can do constantly without minding the weather so even when we do our overseas schedule, he can keep doing it, that’s why I recommend swimming.

Shownu→ Hyungwon: I want to recommend jazz dance to Hyungwon. It might look awkward at first, but since he’s tall and has a good proportion, I think he’d look cool if he did jazz dance.

Hyungwon→ Jooheon: Because in daily life I like playing games and enjoying it so much, I think about how I do it together with Jooheon. It will be a nice hobby if we play it while relieving our stress and eating good food.

Jooheon→ Shownu: I want to go to an exhibition with Shownu hyung. Recently there are so many exhibitions, I think it’ll be fun if I silently go there with Shownu hyung, view various artworks and share related stories about them together!

The hardest point in a busy schedule like yours is to synchronize different opinions from the members. How do you guys solve the disagreement or to reach an agreement over a conflict?

Kihyun: At first, of course there are many conflicting opinions since we’re close in age and we always together in most of the schedules. At that time, we told and held conversation with each other openly, we shared about our struggles. I think because the members are not the type of person who scare of telling their honest feeling, it was easy to chat with them. Actually, from my opinion, in reality the only way to solve it is to meet and have conversations with the related person face-to-face. Come to think of it, now we harmonize our opinions naturally even when our opinions clash, based on the times we spent together. We knew about each other very well, so when one member has an opinion, we can sense roughly what the other members think of it. Now we’re very comfortable with each other.

One of Monsta X’s distinct charms is ‘masculine beauty’. You guys have sturdy body from working out so we can’t take out the masculine charm out of Monsta X, but what makes Monsta X more masculine?

Jooheon: Actually, Monsta X is closer to ‘intense wild beauty’ than masculine beauty’. I think the sexy and charismatic side of Monsta X stands out in our  music and visual, also highlighting that appeal. On the stage of our recent songs like ‘Shoot Out’ and ‘Alligator’, the members perform while paying attention to everything such as the gaze or choreography details. Those parts create an intense and wild vibe.

Shownu: We have many charms aside those mentioned. People might know by watching our special stage or concert that we can perform a groovy and dreamy vibe or sweet and soft image. So I hope people will remember Monsta X as the group who can absorb various concepts. 

We want to hear your plan for future activity or for the rest of the year

Wonho: I hope we can promote the soon-to-be-released “FOLLOW : FIND YOU” album successfully. Also after this, we will cooperate for the “Jingle Ball Tour” in the US in December for two consecutive years. So I wish we work hard together with the fans with great stage and nobody gets hurt in “Jingle Ball” concert until year-end stages.

What is your goal for  future activity?

All: We hope we can wrapped up this year well and pay back our fans who wait long with great promotion because it’s been a long time since we comeback with new album in Korea. In 2020, we want to show our cool, more various, and unexpected side of us, including overseas activity. Last year, when we talked about our goals for 2019, none of the members were able to imagine all the great things we achieved this year. We only talked about doing our best and working hard. But since many things came true, we’re praying those aspirations that are beyond our expectation and mind will come true in 2020 as well.

What is the thing you want to say to local and international Monbebes who always support you?

All: We think all of Monsta X’s happiness is made by Monbebe. We hope we can be together with Monbebe for a long time while leaning on Monbebe, sometimes as friends, family, or  loved one like now, no matter where you are and what kind of person you are. We always feel thankful and love you always.
