I wanted to use up some leftover amigurumi pieces, craft scraps and other miscellaneous junk, so I made this. Was kind of going for a dark fairytale kinda vibe.

I made this little guy back in 2020 using a pattern from Annwood, I want to make many more of these little birds, I used scraps of fabric from a bedsheet to make him.

So I took a bit of an unplanned break from crocheting after finishing that monster of a granny square blanket, but I finally got caught up on some tv shows and decided to finish up a few small projects while I was at it…

So! Here’s a fun little garland I made with scrap yarn. Idk what I want to do with it, so it’s hanging around my window for now

I’m doing this with scrap from every project I make from now on, this is scrap material and buttons from my pirate coat this year! I also added 16gauge wire to the tail so he’s posable and easier to carry as a lil familiar to Ren Faire :))

I was having writers block and so I took a break and soon enough it was 3 in the morning and I had impulsively sewn together a tiny mouse you’re welcome

in the summertime my boyfriend worked at a museum that was essentially one of the first houses ever built in our city and it was full of the original family's furniture, daily tools, and handicraft. although it was unfortunately steeped in colonial settler history (fucking canada, man), material history and fabric history is my weakness so seeing the original owner's quilts, doilies, and beaded clothing was so.. emotional. i did my best not to cry because i didnt want to embarrass him, but then i noticed the seat cushions at the dinner table.

made of so many scrap fabrics pieces that all originated from some other purpose. and i got to touch this varied amount of 200 yr old fabric and i cried big tears.

tldr; humanity is stored in the scrap fabric projects
