Hello! Hope you’re having a good day so far, also just read the last installment of badlands (y e a h). I just wanted to say (and affirm continuously) that you are such a great writer - I’d go so far as to say you are one of a kind - to be writing such intricate details about a character that is as complex as Dazai is. Although the badlands series does follow the canonical events, you still twisted it in a different but interesting way, PRETTY DAMN SUCCESSFULLY might I add. So thank you so much for the series in its entirety, it not only made me look forward to Friday evenings but also made me understand Dazai in a deeper way if that makes sense. Not much of an ask but I will wrap it up here, THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU DESERVE THE WORLD AND MOREEEE AAAAAAHHHHHH <3 <3 <3

I wish we got to see them picking liam up thatvwiuodve been nice for a scene with just the 2 of them the montage was sweet but I'm looking forward to hopefully the moments in future eps where it's just the 2 of them. And beckett cooing at him as if he didnt spent like w years making maya's life miserable...I dont want to be to hard on him but if he was actually held accountable and apologized unlike him a bit more

Me too they deserved to have that moment after two seasons of trying to have a baby. And I get that the montage was fitting for the end of the episode and to have them bring Liam to the station to join everyone for Jack but I still wish they had their own moment of getting to introduce Liam to the group with dialogue but it is what it is.

The screenshot of Beckett with Liam and Carina is so crazy to me because how are they just going to act like that's normal after everything Beckett did to Maya and then he even disrespected Carina by calling her Italy right to her face and never apologized? Like we're just supposed to accept that he's a changed man now and everyone has to welcome him back with open arms? It's ridiculous. I'm not buying it and it's pathetic they're making all the characters fall for it and especially Vic.

Okay so despite my earlier post surmising that each MerFolk has one of seven distinct tail designs/patterns for each of the Seven Seas, I've found out that uh, some of the background MerFolk in the opening sequence of the movie may complicate that a bit.

In the left foreground we have distinctly Perla's (or another Piton Sea MerFolk's) tail, but in the upper left corner there is a merman who seems to sport a banded green tail. The banded pattern may match Brinedive Sea merman, but not the coloring. In the two MerFolk to the right, holding hands, the rightmost one features a unique tail with yellow, blue, and red, a combination which none of the seven known patterns sports.

In the upper right corner, another mermaid has a greenish tail but without the iridescence and fin shapes that would presumably identify her as a mermaid of the Carinae Sea (Ariel's sea, which would mean that her tail would likely match Ariel's.) In the center bottom of this screenshot, a MerFolk also has a silver and blue tail with a red sheen to the fins. The mottled pattern makes me think it could be of the Apneic Sea (Caspia's sea) but the colors are all wrong.

Again, of course, these are backgrounders and probably weren't given their designs much thought at all, but all the backgrounders at the end of the movie seem to have distinct Seven Sea indications present in their tale and scale patterns, so I just noticed this was a little strange.

The watcher receiving this notification didn't think much of it until she got the notification of her passing. Contemplating whether to cheat death, the watcher received ANOTHER notification saying that the Grim Reaper has a thing for Chianti. Hi again y’all! Its been a wild couple of weeks, for sure- we have what feels like a million irons in the fire, and we’re still getting used to that. Some of that is too privy for discussion yet, so while we’re waiting let me update you on whats happening TODAY!

So do you remember Lifeline, our HTML endless shooter from last year?

We’ve used some downtime to polish it up a bit, and are discussing where we could take the project. As before the game as is, is still free to play and fully available here on GameJolt- but i feel like its definitely one of our most snappy and addictive games, and it would be fun to see if we could get some mileage outta that!

Yesterday Åge took some time to tweak the visuals and speed, and today we’re gonna attend an in-person playtest at the office to see if we can gather some ideas. Hell, maybe y’all got some ideas here too!

Here’s some quick and nasty concept art i cooked up yesterday by editing the Carina Nebula cosmic cliffs (beautiful!) over a screenshot of the game. While it looks cool, i also think it would be wildly distracting from the gameplay- and that much of its charm comes from how simple it looks. However, the artist in me can’t help but complicate things! Maybe there’s a nice middle ground somewhere...

The music stays though :) Its one of my favorite works! Give the game a try if you haven’t, yeah?
