Ok, so for the time being I’m just scanning the pages. I have a few days off next month, so I’m gonna thoroughly read the book then. I finished translating (with Papago) episode 3 of SFH and started episode 4. Here are my rough takeaways:
1. Jung Woo is definitely an unreliable narrator. Some parts of the script is written in a way where it seems like Jung Woo is writing a scene and then the camera pans out to it. Also, our Jung Woo sshi probably imagined this Moon Jo face (I LOVE this face of him 😍😍😍 he he )
Tumblr media
2. Moon Jo doesn’t sweat even in sweltering heat
Tumblr media
3. Moon Jo seemed to be listening to music while he was eating Tupperware meat. In series, he was just sitting.
Tumblr media
4. Jung Woo seemed to have fallen ON Moon Jo ? In the dead cat in the bag in alley scene. Moon Jo tapped his shoulder so JW gets up. In the series, JW gets up by himself
Tumblr media
Overall: the script is deliberately written in a way where it seems …. a bit ambiguous. It IS meant to be open ended. The confusion is intentional. The storytelling is absolutely amazing !!!!! And so far, no mention of MJ having a wife and kid (I have heard this theory so many times before) . If it’s mentioned later, I’ll post. So far, no background information on Seo Moon Jo is given in the scriptbook

Build Your Own Script Book
Tumblr media
Crowley points up as he answers his own question. "That's the point, no nightingales. You idiot. We could have been - us," he says, disbelieving.
Aziraphale looks stunned and hurt, turns away to cry. Crowley walks up to him, grabs his lapels to pull him in and kisses him. Aziraphale, surprised, gasps, closes his eyes into the kiss, embraces Crowley for a moment. Crowley lets go.
Aziraphale steps backward, breathes hard, looks momentarily sideways, as if to check the window, '...again,' he half says, looking teary.
Knows they can't. Not now. Not like this. He steels himself. "I forgive you."
Crowley sighs, walks away.
"Don't bother."
'No,' Aziraphale whispers, watching him go. His heart breaks.
Door bell rings out.
Aziraphale tries to rein in his emotions, touches his lips, shaking. Blinks away tears.

Ok people. Not sure why this little line was glossed over??? All the script book posts with changed or omitted lines that have been done, and I missed any that mentioned this.
I mean… Crowley, your phrasing…

Hello! I was wondering-- Is there any place where the Ultimate Script Book is available? (The version with all seven cut scenes in it, of course.) I've been trying to look for it but it seems that everywhere I look, they're out of stock!
Hiya! :) Depends where are you from :), you can ask your local bookshop if they could order it for you. Check near amazons (for example uk amazon seems to have it?) And then there is always ebay :). (and always check the ISBN before checkout :) <3) (the scriptbook masterpost if anyone didn't happen upon it yet and is interested :))

Hey GOmens nerds! Where is the flashback to the opening of the bookshop in the script book? I get kind of stymied reading the script straight through, but I really want to read that scene.

Second one came! Yippie!
It’s a straight up script book, as advertised. It comes with a bunch of pictures too, they’re scattered throughout and during the actual scenes not just an insert section. Fancy. Lmao

Ok, I’m at Episode 5 of translating Strangers From Hell. In the rooftop camera scene, Moon Jo wasn’t originally supposed to say “oh just because, you look pretty”. That isn’t in the script, so I’m guessing that was an ad lib from Dong Wook 😏😏😏😏
Tumblr media
And, so far, the only personal information on Moon Jo that I found is: he didn’t like his mom. So far, no mention of him having wife and kid. So we shall see if I find anything …

Reading SFH script book: Translation done by Papago
Chapter 3: it appears Moon Jo was supposed to say “I am happy”, not “just because, I like you”
I’ll add more as I read more 🥰🥰🥰

I actually got the script book gifted today :D
But that killer idea Terry was talking about… I think that was Neil putting Michael and David together.
Sir Terry Pratchett: on writing Good Omens with Neil Gaiman
I love the whole interview but this little snippet most of all:
Terry: “You can usually bet, and I’m sure Neil Gaiman would say the same thing, that, uh, if I go into a bookstore to do a signing and someone presents me with three books, the chances are that one of them is going to be a very battered copy of Good Omens; and it will smell as if it’s been dropped in parsnip soup or something in and it’s gone fluffy and crinkly around the edges and they’ll admit that it’s the fourth copy they’ve bought”.
You can never own enough Good Omens copies.
