I thought jewelry making would be difficult...but I was wrong. We tried Liquid Sculpey clay through Tryazon and it was a hit. Everyone loved making the earrings. They all turned out really different, but very cool. It was a fairly quick craft and easy to do. The directions were clear. We tried all of the suggested designs and they came out nice. Obviously with more practice these could be fabulous. They bake at 275 for 15 minutes. There was plenty of time for this craft and we could have even done it multiple times during the party as they cooled fairly quickly too. The colors were vibrant. My guests and I will all be buying more for future crafts. Definitely a win with this one. I see lots of uses for this in addition to jewelry making. The finished product feels rubbery and soft. I didn’t get a pic, but my bestie made a pendant for her grandson that had a dino foot print in the middle of black background. After cooling she cut is to resemble an arrowhead. It looked amazing! Loved trying this. Will be making more today.
Process - making the bags and paint it and rebake the monster
I started off by getting super scupley and making it flat and then putting it through the paster machine, soo it becomes more thinner. Then I cut it into a bag shape and i put a foil ball so I can attach all the side’s together. Then I painted the bags into a dark brown first, then I created a lighter brown to put on top of it. Once all of them are done I got the dark brown and I went over the dent and I added it to places where it needed it.
Them I made some dents in the feet to make toes. And I baked him again because the blue super scupley wasn’t baking and it kept falling a part and it got to the point I was going to leave it because I didn't want to burn the rest of the sculpt. I also added a was rope around it for the belt. Which the monster look super cool.
Here is a little terrarium I recently made. I've been really into making succulents and mushrooms in little planters, though I'm trying to figure out what other plants I can put in my charms now.
