DHMIS Easter Eggs and Background Details

A huge list of a bunch of background details, foreshadowing, and Easter Eggs I noticed on my second watch-through. Note that I’m only including things that are fairly obscure, rather than “obvious” items others have already pointed out (so I’m not including the symbol sightings, for example). Feel free to add on with anything I missed.

Episode 1

In the theme song, Red Guy is “you”, which makes sense as he’s usually the audience surrogate character

Among the briefcase’s papers is a sticky note with 1906 on it

Right as the briefcase leaves, the last line is “you can be the ones who dig a hole for a funeral” as foreshadowing to the next episode

Everyone’s name tag in the factory has their name except for Yellow’s, which just says “employee”

When Bird is talking to Red in the office, he says that they’ve only been there for “9 minutes”. This is at the 14 minute mark and they got to Peterson’s at 5 minutes in, so they have indeed been there 9 minutes

According to the Carehound poster, Peterson’s is closed Mon–Sat and is open for exactly 4 minutes at 10 PM on Sun

Red Guy framed and hung the fax the fax machine gave him on the wall

Before the song starts the briefcase is rushing off to his job, but when the song ends he tells Brendon it’s time for his bath (as in, they’re going home). Meaning that teaching/torturing the puppets was the job he was rushing off to

The orange with eyes that was in the very first DHMIS short is in the BG when Red checks his ID card

It's not that late when Lou and Jack left the Pub. They are tired and hungry after the fight so they went over to Lou's house. Lou: "I'll show you your room. It's in the building on the right and the bathroom is right below." Jack: "Wow, ok. Thanks." Lou: "You're very welcome here, Jack."

Lou: "I used it as a storage room for a while, I hope it's ok." Jack: "Of course it is! It's amazing!"

Lou is so sweet. He quickly got this room ready while Jack cared for the horses earlier.

And he placed Jack's trophy and the spicy wolf figurines he bought for him. (Isn't it a bit strange that he placed them in this position too? Maybe he's just as weird as Jack? Or is he hitting on him? Was Jack hitting on Lou when he chose those wolves? ö.Ö')

They agreed to cook together and Jack went to the bathroom first. Only to find a magazine with inadequate dressed, but very handsome guys, tissues and - lube... Is this Lou's stuff he forgot to put away or did he leave it for Jack to see? ö.Ö'

They cooked together in silence.

Lou: "Is everything ok?" Jack: "Uhm, yes... just hungry." Lou: "Me too. Let's finish the meal before I devour you! Haha!" Jack laughed a little too loud: "HAHA!" ö.ö'

During the meal they managed to get back to their former comraderie and chatted as if nothing happened. (It's because nothing happened, Jack! Every Boy has this stuff at home! Saiwa still owns that 'wand' and the 'polish' Kiyoshi gave him. Though they'd never used it. But better not remind Jack of that o.o')

And just when Jack really thought it's nothing and fought his paranoia, because this is his therapy after all, Lou said: "Hey, I want to show you something."

Lou: "It's over here."

Lou: "I've never shown this room to anyone... I'm glad I finally found someone to share my, not so little *chuckles* secret. Keeping it hidden from everyone is eating me up."

No one can relate better to this than poor Jack who had to keep his whole relationship to Kiyoshi a secret until he broke down. But Jack's already wild imaginanion was bouncing around like a rubber ball on hyperspeed in a too small box. The wolf figurines and the stuff in the bathroom and that Lou wants to 'eat' him. Is he a cannibal or is this room a kind of sex chamber? Lou: "We will spend a lot of time here. Sweating and groaning." Ok sweating and groaning is only for the living. So at least he's not going to eat him, right? ö.ö (Uhm 'groaning' is also for zombies, Jack...)

Lou: "Come in!" (Jack's face is priceless! ^^')

Jack: "Exercise equipment?" Lou: "Sure, thought that was obvious. What did you think?" Haha - omg Jack! Lou: "Remember? No one knows that we are Moonchild and Wolfsbane. I've spent a lot of time here alone. I'm glad you're here. We can spur on each other and do challenges!"

Jack noticed the cabinet with the trophies: "Wow. You've won a lot of fights!" Among all the golden ones, there is also a second silver trophy. Lou: "The other wolf who defeated me was Greg. What a fight that was! No one ever gave me hell like you and Greg. But he retired for unknown reasons. So I'm glad I have an equal opponent like him again. For the thrill, you know." Jack knows. He doesn't care if he wins or loses either when the fight is good. Except when strong feelings are involved. When he lost his Cattle Market against Kiyoshi or the fights against Greg.

They retreated to their rooms. Lou will show him around tomorrow. Talking abouts fights reminded Jack of his fights with Kiyoshi after he became his Alpha. Those were the days when he tried to kill Kiyoshi after he found out he'd been at the Lab and he thought he was a threat for his friends. But the fights had been amazing. And hot. There is really something terribly wrong in his head! How can he still miss and want Kiyoshi!

It's time to log out and report back to his friends. Ji Ho has to try out the Game and find out if he really is a Princess in his Therapy Game too! And if he is going to marry Caleb! But Jack will come back here for sure! The Game is awesome, the therapy works and hopefully it will also help him to forget about Kiyoshi. Or maybe Lou is really here to hit on Jack so he can get over Kiyoshi? Anyway, Jack gives the Therapy Game a 10 out of 10!

ARTICLE: "The plane journey that convinced Ferrari on Leclerc" (Autosport Plus, 2018)

While Ferrari is doing all it can to help minimise the pressure - with boss Maurizio Arrivabene saying this week that the only goal for next year is for Leclerc to gain experience and 'absorb' the tricks of the trade - there is a feeling that in reality it secretly expects much more.

To realise why that is, you have to wind back the clock a little and understand that the decision to sign Leclerc was not some spur-of-the-moment call forced upon Ferrari because it was in a rush to sign somebody.

Ferrari made its decision on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix to pick Leclerc over Kimi Raikkonen not because it had to, but because it wanted to.

Leclerc's speed was obvious. The need to potentially shake up the internal dynamic at Ferrari was real.

And those fears about it being too early for Leclerc, of a young man not able to cope with intense pressure and at risk of being burned out and thrown onto the scrap heap before he hit his peak? The team management's minds had already been put at ease on that front.

It is often said that the qualities of an individual are found not when they are celebrating success, but when they have to pick themselves up from the bad moments.

And in Leclerc's case, it was the way he was able to cope with the death of his father in 2017 that proved a defining moment in convincing Ferrari that he had all it takes to deal with the pressure of racing for the Prancing Horse.

For someone who was as close to his father as Leclerc was, that loss last year was deeply painful. And, coming in the middle of an intense battle for the Formula 2 crown, it could have been enough to trigger a loss of concentration and a drop in form.

But amid all the personal heartache Leclerc was suffering, Arrivabene recalls meeting him on the Ferrari charter flight to Baku that week, and how the youngster's attitude there left him in no doubts about his star qualities.

"I asked him how he was after losing his father a few days before," explains Arrivabene. "He replied that he wanted to win the race, and then go home for the funeral. That is exactly what he did.

"If a guy can handle these moments, I do not think that he will have problems adjusting to the pressure of F1."

Leclerc has spoken openly about how the emotional rollercoaster of that weekend - the crying in the helmet after he took pole position and then the wins - meant those were days where he grew up a lot.

It is important to remember though that Baku was not the first time in his career Leclerc has faced supreme challenges. He knows full well how to keep his head under control when things are not going the way he may have hoped.

There was the risk as he started out his career of being unable to continue karting because the funds were drying up. Only a bit of help from his brother Lorenzo's best friend, Jules Bianchi, in convincing Nicolas Todt to try to help, made the difference.

Even today Todt remembers a very nervous Leclerc being dressed in a super smart black suit for their first meeting... and impressing throughout.

Then there was the difficult time in the middle of his 2015 European Formula 3 campaign. Taking a seat in the Van Amersfoort team that Max Verstappen had shone so strongly for in '14, Leclerc began the season in fine form with a series of wins in the first half of the year.

But something - most likely related to a senior engineer departing mid-season for personal reasons - changed within the team and Leclerc found himself suddenly on the back foot over the second half of the year. Where once he was battling in the top three week in and week out, suddenly he was fighting to be in the top 10.

Leclerc had to dig deep to try to recover; find answers about what had gone wrong, as he came home fourth overall in the standings.

But a super strong showing in Macau, where he finished second right behind winner Felix Rosenqvist, suggested he had kept his focus and unlocked the answers that were needed.

That time also marked Leclerc's arrival in the Ferrari Driver Academy, which helped him both progress as a driver and also show more evidence that when the intensity and pressure increase, he just gets better.

As manager Todt recalls: "Ferrari has helped him in many ways. Physical, mental preparation and also the contribution of the simulator played an important role. Of course, even more pressure has come, as is normal when you are part of the Ferrari world.

"But we have found that the greater the pressure that Charles is subject to, the greater his performance on track. That is a fundamental aspect, because today in the paddock I think that all the drivers have excellent sporting skills. But what makes the difference is the head, and on this front Charles I think is very solid."

Vettel will not be unaware of how fast and how mentally strong Leclerc is. Even if he hadn't seen it for himself, he has probably been told well in advance by Arrivabene why Ferrari is convinced it has the right man.

Did that prompt Vettel's recent suggestions that it will be important that the pair of them work together - rather than against each other - for the good of the team? Is he seeing a shift in the sands at Maranello as things will be different to how they were with Raikkonen? Only Vettel knows the answer to that.

Crowley and Take Me To Church- not a full essay but just a dump of my thoughts

• Starting off by saying that this song is an explicit criticism of how the church / Christianity has treated gay people / the LGBT+ community and how easily LGBT+ people within the church can lose their religion / faith because of this

•I think it makes sense for people to associate this song with Aziraphel for the obvious reason of he is an Angel and part of the church / Christianity. And then with the added layer of him being gay (using the term “gay” loosely, but as a fandom you guys know what I mean) and questioning some of the teachings and interpretations of the religion he upholds. The lyrics allows the association of Aziraphel with the lyricism about heaven, worship, God and the Church

• But this is CROWLEY’S song

• (All Demons are disgraced Angels) It’s almost as if he was cast out of heaven for his ‘sin’ of being gay

• and that he still holds onto his faith in God and the religion as an institution

• But it’s the CHURCH and GOD that has turned their backs on HIM, not the other way round.

• It’s as if Crowley is not only thinking about Aziraphel while listening to this song, but also contemplating what his existence could have been if he was an Angel like Aziraphel and Heaven didn’t fully turn their backs on him

•It’s as if Crowley is clinging to his previous faith, begging for a second chance.

-Aziraphel has just enough mischief in him to not fully fit in and be a model Angel. And Aziraphels existence in the church, doing heavens biddings, in itself is a rebellion.

-the word and morals of Aziraphel is the only thing keeping Crowley from renouncing “goodness” altogether. If Aziraphel can still think so highly of Heaven while living his existence as a “gay” Angel and not be punished for it, then these are the teachings of heaven that Crowley can see himself living by

- Sick = gay / queer in this context. Both Crowley and Aziraphel were born this way. There is nothing they can do about it, yet Crowley feels that he is the only one being punished for his “sins”

- While both Crowley and Aziraphel are both eccentric, Crowley is loudly eccentric - with his loud cars and music- while Aziraphel is quieter and softer. Aziraphel “got away” with his queerness in heaven because he wasn’t loud about it and kept it to himself, unlike Crowley.

-Crowley won’t make it back to heaven, he’s too far gone for that, but having Aziraphel by his side for eternity, is better than that

-Crowley knows the teachings of heaven are hollow and just as manipulative as the teachings of hell, but if it meant that he could be seen as good and free of sin, he would grovel at the chance to regain his faith. Maybe because if he was an Angel, Aziraphel would be more willing to be in a full committed partnership with him

-Crowley is so so so angry at the hypocrisy of heaven

- The demons were cast aside and left to live in squalor while the angels live a life of righteousness. Crowley has to work twice as hard for his good deeds to even count, just because he is a demon

- actually foaming at the mouth over this lyric

- Crowley sees nothing wrong with his feelings and partnership with Aziraphel. Their love for each other is so pure and gentle that he can’t comprehend how ‘this’ is what Heaven renounced him for

All right, so this is one of those moments where I have to pull back the curtain a little bit and talk about how I play a character who is canonically heterosexual, but whom I read to be bisexual because it's truer to the character as I find them.

Now, you know, I actually misremembered how this conversation went? I remembered Emma saying that Hank had never had so much as a gay thought, but that's not what she says here. She say that Hank has never had any kind of physical relationship with another man, and . . . you know what, I kind of believe that to be true.

Because as much as I fucking love THIS moment, it's not a relationship.

We can all agree that a kiss is not a relationship.

However.

. . . Guys, Hank is, like . . . really queer.

This post sums it up nicely, but yeah, Hank acts in a very over the top, dandified manner, over speaking and over-exaggerating everything about himself so that you won't pay attention to the blatantly obvious. He performs masculinity in a way that reads as overcompensating because he feels like he's been othered by his mutation.

There's also panels like this.

"Flirt with everything this side of Boy George."

Boy George being the androgynous gay icon of the 1980s, yes?

And this is coming from Hank's girlfriend, who he has admitted in dialogue to only really being with because she feels stable and safe and familiar, a tether to his old life in a time when he feels without a direction in life?

Like, this isn't me putting words into Hank's mouth, this is HIS dialogue during a time when he was arguably his most heterosexual! Yeah, you could just read it as him having a wandering eye, because he's a very flirtatious fellow, but that really isn't how it reads, is it? It reads as, I need reassurance I'm doing adult, normal things while my life goes weird, abnormal places.

It reads as, I think I'm kinda fucking queer but I'm too afraid to admit it.

Because lemme be real with you, this is Hank at his most heterosexual, but there's. Some. Stuff. Going on here.

"I was GOING to go out on a date with you, really pretty girlfriend, but then my MALE friend turned up and I just got so excited that I went out with my MALE friend and am basically hanging on his every word and eager to impress him, while the straight people at the table (Isaac and Dolly) are on an actual date, and Overmind sounded concerned about three wheeling a date when they asked to come with?"

Ladies and gentlemen, I am a gay man, and I have never been in just a towel around my best friend while he scrubbed another man's back, because that's just a little gay.

Hey, did you know Bobby's gay?

I don't bring that up for any real reason, just, you know.

And then there's Simon.

Oh boy is there Simon.

When Logan and Hercules did this shit, people were celebrating in the streets because it confirmed bisexual Wolverine, but when Hank and Simon do it, no-one gives a fuck.

But that's an alternate universe. All they've done in 616 is kiss (GAY), so maybe it's just, you know, horsing around.

Hank, you don't look happy to be put down.

Hank never smiles like this on the X-Men. I'm not exaggerating. I've read X-Men comics for nearly 20 years, and Hank does not smile around other people like he does around Simon Williams. He looks fulfilled. He looks free. He looks delighted, constantly.

Are you two gonna fucking hold hands, like, WHAT?

And you know what, let's talk about the X-Men.

Scott, for someone who said very firmly that Hank wasn't gay before, you don't even throw that in there first?

Is it because of what comes next?

I'm - sorry? What in the FUCK are you trying to say to me?

And let's, for a moment, turn to Dark Beast. Because he has some words on the matter.

You know what, yeah, Dark Beast does seem like the idea to suck, fuck, thrust and kill his way through a Tuesday night, honestly.

And look, I know that alternate universes are shaky ground to be drawing conclusions from, but, like . . . this is. Getting to be rather a lot of very suggestive dialogue.

Look, I get that there's not quite the same amount of outright coding that Bobby had before he was forced out of the closet (Cloud, Emma Frost's prodding at his mind, all the stuff stacking up across Lobdell and Austen and Liu), but it's still . . . questionable. Isn't it? Like, at this point, I have to question why we think Hank has to be straight. Which is why I don't think he is.

So, now we get to the point of the evening where I pull at the curtain, because how Hank talks about himself in my threads works according to a certain kind of logic - canonically, as of right now, 21st of January 2024, he's officially straight, so any references to canon events will be as if he's 'straight' but actually just closeted bisexual. Because I care about continuity and keeping my facts straight and drawing as closely from the comics as possible - within reason - but my interpretation still takes precedence.

And my interpretation is that Hank, at any point in his life, is a bisexual man who feels afraid to admit it. But here's the question you're going to ask - WHY is he afraid to admit it?

You could go with an answer that draws on canon, and point out that when he tested the waters with coming out as gay, Scott and Emma both basically verbally smacked him and said he wasn't.

But that's not my style. I don't personally read it that way.

In my mind, Hank considers coming out to be That One Last Step Past Normal that goes too far. Like, it's one thing if he's a blue furred, canonically kinky, canonically weird, basically canonically bipolar, canonically psychologically damaged beast, but if he's a blue furred kinky weird bipolar psychologically damaged bisexual beast, that's the point where people will turn on him and be disgusted.

I could see him drawing that invisible line and deciding, I have to keep this one aspect of me to myself because I can't trust people to accept that from me. I think Hank has conditioned himself to believe that being accepted is something he has to earn over and over again, in part because of how Xavier schooled the X-Men's train of thought on that, but also because, unlike Nightcrawler, he knows what it's like to go from passing to not passing, and experiencing that scarred him in a way?

Like, one of the last bits of good Hank content we got before Krakoa was that Christmas special where he's back at his parents' for the holiday, and he can hear them talking from downstairs, and they're their usual lovely sweet selves, but they mention wanting grandkids, and . . . for someone whose bedrock, whose psychological wellbeing, is so incredibly dependent on other people, especially his parents and friends, I could see him being terrified of threatening that, even if it means he has to hide a part of who he is (perhaps unnecessarily).

There may be a degree of that where I'm projecting, because I had to deal with my dad being very heteronormative for a while after I realised I was gay, and even though I was certain he wouldn't reject me because of it, it felt easier to just not challenge that and let it slide because What If, you know?

But I feel like it makes sense for how Hank is, with his very tenuous relationship with feeling accepted, and I feel like this also accounts for why Emma 'saw' that he was straight in New X-Men, because he's wound himself into a psychological knot to the point where he reads as straight telepathically, even though he doesn't act like it and isn't.

If there weren't hints, I'd be inclined to be like, okay, maybe I'm just reading it this way because I see myself in Hank and him being a bit more like me makes me happy, but then there are GENUINE hints. The Exiles relationship, the fact that everyone basically treats Hank as Simon's emotional support, EVEN HIS GIRLFRIEND, and then the DeMatteis comment from Vera about how he flirts with everything this side of Boy George.

This isn't looking at pre-Krakoa Logan and Scott and thinking, yeah, they have tension, they want to fuck, this is looking at this guy who is extremely sex positive, flirtatious, open minded, and hearing from his girlfriend that he doesn't confine himself just to the purely feminine.

And it's also, like . . . like, I've talked about this with my boyfriend, and people love to throw out the YOU'LL JUST SHIP ANYTHING accusation, and maybe that's kinda true for some people, but I find I don't do that. Like, there are people out there who ship Hank with Cyclops, and I'm like . . . sure, fine. I don't personally see it, but you go for it, my dude.

If I genuinely did just want Hank to be an action figure that I smash with other action figures in a gay way, I feel like I'd have a stronger reaction, but instead, I look at the way he is with Bobby, and with Simon, and even, to a degree, with Logan (pre Krakoa, obvs), and I'm like . . . this is not the way a straight man acts. This reads as a bisexual man who doesn't feel like he can be 100% himself because he feels as though he's already asking a lot of people to accept him as he presents himself to be.

Hank's entire character from, like, moment one makes so much sense when you understand that he's basically always playing someone else. Sometimes it's who he wants to be, sometimes it's who he thinks other people need him to be, a lot of the time it's who people want him to be - like, I was reading the 2004 Nightcrawler solo the other day, and Kurt is internally narrating about how everyone on the X-Men is just an emotional basket case EXCEPT Hank, and I'm like . . . THIS.

THIS RIGHT HERE, is what the problem is! No-one on the X-Men is capable of seeing that Hank is constantly performing, and just how exhausting it is. That's why Simon is such a breath of fresh air, because Simon doesn't need him to perform, he just needs Hank to be . . . fuck, man, he just needs Hank to be happy, because that makes him happy, and the sheer lack of self-interest inherent in that dynamic is such a GIANT part of why I think Hank finds Simon so attractive. Like, imo, Scott's so insistent that Hank isn't gay during the New X-Men arc because of all of this, because he fell for the act, because he thinks this is just another joke that Hank is gonna duck behind.

Scott is SO INSISTENT that Hank isn't gay, and it's like, bro . . . Scoot . . . how do you know? You barely know what you want on a good day, and you think that just 'cause you and Hank hung around in the OG X-Men locker rooms for three years that you know him better than anyone else? He was on the Avengers and the Defenders and he has so many friends that you just DON'T KNOW ABOUT. How. Do. U. Kno. Scoot. Like, in universe, if Hank was working his way up to maybe coming out, and using the excuse of a joke to do it, THAT kind of reaction, and Emma TELLING him that he isn't gay, would push me RIGHT back in the closet.

If there wasn't coding, if there wasn't a genuine basis to this, it wouldn't have come up in Exiles, honestly. Like . . . okay, so multiversal stories are an excuse to do off the wall shit, right, and especially make characters gay just to push and prod and see what actually changes, right, like Governor Logan and Hercules, but they can also reveal a good amount of truth about a character out of what DOESN'T change.

And on a meta level, like, SOMETHING made Jeff Parker think Hank and Simon worked. He didn't pick Hank and Bobby, he didn't pick Hank and Hercules, he didn't pick Hank and Warren - Hank has NO shortage of male friendships you could pick from, but he picked Simon, and it's because there's enough there that even if you don't buy it for 616, it makes sense for a multiversal thing. Which means there's SOMETHING THERE.

And Ben Percy, cursed be his name, only added to that with X-Force. The idea that Simon is somehow going to be the catalyst for whatever awakening of classic, GOOD Hank is going to happen is just so . . . like, he still clearly cares for Abigail? They were on panel doing the eye socket thing? But, and this is partly because of who Abigail is, the narrative did not change because of her presence. But it does when Simon's around.

Yeah, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, but sometimes a cigar is something to unpack. Like, I really Do Not Know how Hank became 'the straightest X-Man,' because A) have you fucking read Avengers and Defenders, and B) even discounting ALL of that . . . do you not find Hank's way of acting to be a little . . . you know . . . effete? Like, yeah, it's an act, he's playing the dandy, he's offsetting his appearance, but there are other things you can do to offset the Beast.

So why does he always go back to the brightly coloured suits, the loud fashion, the high energy, the camp, the billion dollar words - to put it bluntly, why does he always seem to act just a lil' fruity?

So, yes, in my mind, he's a closeted bisexual man, and that's how I play him. Thank you for coming to my lecture.

My man is a side character and has the so many episodes with/ about him. Loona, and Millie haven't gotten any episodes devoted to them. I personally don’t count Happy Campers as a “Millie episode” because moxxie still steals the spotlight from her and it’s obvious that Blizto and Barbies side plot is way more interesting. I don’t count Queen Bee as a “Loona episode” because I see it as a Kesha episode and Biltzo gets the ending spotlight of the episode by being a sad boi.  

Honestly, we haven't even got a domestic episode with the main 4 (Blitzo, Moxxie, Millie, Loona) we don't have any Canon (pilot isn't canon I think) episodes where it all of them goofing around the office. We get no character episodes for the main character. We get an episode about a Stolas’ daughter, but we can't give the main 4 any characterization beside

Honestly, I'm just tired of the moxxie beating.) I'm also tired of seeing him too It's like Steven universe nothing can happen unless steven is on screen or is somehow involved. 

 I get it. He's the main character, and you have to like him.  

They should change the name of the series to “Blitzo and Stolas are The Main Characters and Everyone Else can get Fucked”

Byakuya Togami. What a prick. Great character but also, wow, fuck THIS guy. Ultimate Rich Boy is every bit as smug and insufferable as you'd expected him to be at first glance. Which is the point, of course. Since the name of the game is competitive mystery-solving, Byakuya's designed to be the investigative equivalent to the boastful kung-fu rival that the hero needs to take down a peg.

He's an easy character to like because confidence is attractive but an obnoxious person to have to interact with at any time, for any reason. It's easy to laugh, from the third-person perspective, at how rude and self-absorbed he is to the other characters. But it would suck having to actually talk to him or tolerate his presence for any length of time.

And taking him down a peg is certainly what happens. Byakuya gets to be super-smart and deduce like 80% of every case before being made to look like a clown by the final twist. He gradually comes apart more and more with each defeat until he completely breaks during Sakura's case.

It's the same thing Ace Attorney does with their prosecutors. Byakuya is the Miles Edgeworth of Danganronpa.

But he's still a smug prick to the very end. He never quite makes that jump to the protagonist's side that all the Ace Attorney prosecutors inevitably do, and instead remains an egotistical dipshit consumed only by the glory of his illustrious family name to the very end.

He's not really a character who changes, so much as he is a character who it's fun to see get his. And get his, he does. He gets constantly humiliated by Makoto and Kyoko. Then he finds out that his precious family name is now worthless because everything they've built is gone; He is now of the same class as Makoto, who he has endlessly looked down upon.

And he ends the game alive... But for how long is left up in the air, as he still has Toko's obsession nipping at his heels - With obvious implication that Byakuya's destined to become another body on Genocide Jack's rap sheet, as is the fate of all men she becomes interested in.

Yeah, more than anyone in the survivor cast, Byakuya ends the game with his fate looking particularly grim. Destitute, plunged into obscurity, and marked by a serial killer. Knocked all the way down from his high horse to rock bottom. Carried only by his stubbornness and resolve to prove himself and overcome.

...

Fortunately for Byakuya, as one of the iconic five survivors of the original game, he's locked in as a franchise Sacred Cow. These five characters are so untouchable now that future entries will literally unkill them if they happen to die. So the second the credits finish rolling, he instantly gets all of his resources back and Jack promptly agrees to stop being a serial killer.

Byakuya was saved by the power of iconicity. A force that affects how future media treats the other four survivors too, all of whom seem to acquire an inexplicable level of power and influence the moment they step out that door.

This has been sitting in my drafts for a while now, but all of one (1) person asked if there was going to be a sequel to the original, so here you go. Hope you enjoy :)

Prologue

It was Christmas morning when you first noticed you had a stalker.

At the time, you hadn't really thought much about it. Walking out of your apartment first thing in the morning, you barely managed to avoid stepping on the neatly wrapped box that sat on your welcome mat.

You had assumed it was from a family member or friend, even when it had no name on it other than your own. When asked, though, MJ, Ned, and everyone else you were even semi-close to all seemed genuinely confused about where it came from.

Once again, you shrugged it off. It was something you had wanted for a while now, so even if it was a bit strange, you weren't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. It had clearly been addressed to you on a sparkly red and green tag, so it wasn't like you were opening someone else's gift.

But when Christmas ended, you began to notice other strange occurrences. Certain possessions of yours had gone missing, though you couldn't find any sign of a break-in. Several of your most-worn shirts had gone missing, as well as the body scrub you knew was only half-full.

None of your jewelry had gone missing, nor any of the electronics or the cash you kept stored around. Any of the obvious things someone would take from you remained. Considering nothing of actual value had been taken, it seemed ridiculous to assume someone was trying to rob you, but it was the only explanation you had. You were single, lived alone, and any friends you brought over never had the time to steal that many shirts. You swear you would've caught them at this point.

It's a month after that when you start to think you have a stalker. At first, you think you're being stupid again. It sounds stupid to even think that Spider-man of all people would be following you. He helps people, and you know this because, despite the video of him and Mysterio, he saved you.

It had been three times at this point. Once when you had gotten caught up in a fight at the Statue of Liberty; you couldn't even remember what reason you had for being up there, but you were sure it wasn't a good one. He had gotten you out of the way of a strange villain on a glider, and after that, all you remembered was waking up in your apartment the next morning.

A second when a villain had shown up right next to your work; Spider-man had been the one to show up, and had saved you from an incoming piece of debris.

The third seemed so minor compared to the rest but had solidified your opinion of him. You had been walking home late from work when a group of guys had attempted to rob you. Despite the late hour, Spiderman had been out and ready to save you. He even stuck around to walk you home, and you were surprised by how young he sounded while cracking jokes.

Which is why you were so confused now. You had seen him far too often now. You had tried to reason that he was a street hero, so it wasn't uncommon to see him swinging around the city, yet in the past four weeks, he's swung past your apartment over a dozen times and gone past your work even more. Sometimes you'll even swear you can even hear someone hanging around your fire escape late at night, despite you being on the sixteenth floor.

You had asked yourself countless times now why he would be following you of all people. You're just one civilian in a city full of people.

So why did you find yourself with a rag of chloroform over your mouth one night, only to look back and see a familiar red mask before unconsciousness took over?

A few months ago I went ahead and made a creator account on Curseforge, Figured I could branch out and get more/new traffic from my content. After figuring out how to actually post there and what their template and rules were I attempted to post up the Horse ranch recolors. For those of you unfamiliar with how posting your content on their works, its about the same as posting here on tumblr but with an extra step. Moderators have to look it over and approve it before it goes live for the public. Ok cool, thats fine and understandable, cant have people posting illegal or crazy stuff so I respect the added precaution and process.

But what I don't fucking respect or appreciate is how god damn hard the gate keeping, time wasting, and stupidity is!! The first post i tried to do, they said i was missing some things in the description, ok fine i made the changes they asked for. Then on the same post they said something else was wrong or missing: Long story short, they asked me to do this process for the SAME post 4 different times, instead of telling me everything that was wrong the first time around! Ultimately after submitting a ticket and speaking with support they went ahead and green lite the post a few DAYS later after realizing i did in fact do everything that was asked. This was my first post and experience with the site so after my initial anger calmed down I chose to give it a second chance. The next 3 posts i made there went smoothly, i did everything by the book and there were no issues. Until Sept. 29th, when i tried to post the doors and windows recolors from horse ranch. The moderation messege told me i needed to specify in the description if the "assets were apart of the pack," if they were created by Maxis, you can not reupload them without edits due to copyrights ". <----

This post was literally no different from the other previous 4 fucking recolor posts I did prior to this one. LITERALLY NOTHING DIFFERENT! So between Sept 29th till today Oct. 26th I attempted to once again do exactly as they asked and stated in both the description and the very fking obvious title of the post which was "Horse Ranch Doors & Windows". I did not copy and paste any original files from the game and try to reupload it "without edits" or whatever the fuck they tried to accuse me of or couldnt fucking clearly see for themselves via the god damn preview pictures I also provided. Guys, when I do my recolor posts across multiple platforms, I'm quite literally posting the same pics of the objects and providing the same information about whats in the file and so on. I do nothing different. THIS was nothing different from the others!! I once again contacted fucking support about the issue and stated the same thing! I took an object or fucking "asset" from the game> recolored or "altered" it and am trying to post. But for whatever reason bitches have their head up their ass and cant see theres nothing wrong or different with this particular recolor versus the other 4 recolor posts!

So long story short. I tried and tried, and I'm out of patience with these brain dead bot moderators over on Curse-go fuck urself-Forge. Fuck CurseForge, Fuck the Moderators, Fuck the Support Team, and Fuck my uploads there. Burn in Hell.

oh yaya time to talk about his big spanish hispanic jewish family!!!!

he's the youngest of 6, oldest 2 aren't named or designed. I have not much of shit on them yet lmao!

Edd is the baby child of the family and was super super dotted on by his mama and he and Elain, the second youngest, are the closest, her kids r named after him! Edwin being obvious but emily's middle name is manuela which is the female version of edds middle name, manuel! He's a gay man he's the gay uncle. We love tio edd.

Next up is Sofia who's a transwoman who works at a tattoo shop in london. While Edd is learning spanish to speak properly w his family in spain sofia has cut contact w most of the family since transitioning for various reasons, but she still texts edd here and there. He's pretty much the only one that still has contact w her and it how the family still knows she's alive. she loves her pug furbaby Moonshine. May or may not have a crush on a local ginger lady who works at a diner near her work.

Rodrigo, aka Felipe, has the typical brotherly relationship w Edd. Loves to bully and tease him and is pretty cool w his whole gay thing, even if he says some fuck up shit every now and then. He's trying. Worries a lot abt Sofia due to them being so close as kids, doesn't know abt her transitioning tho and Edd's not sure if he should tell him or not. Mama calls him her little filly (as in the horse) and was definitely into mlp (thanks to edd getitng him into it)

Speaking of mama! Here's Reina, Edd's mother who never quite felt right in her relationship with his dad John. John is an orthodox jew and she was very iffy on getting a divorce just because she "felt weird" about it, but when Edd was about 7 she talked to John and, shockingly, he agreed to the divorce but wanted dearly to stay in the kids life, which of course she would let him. They still lived together up until Edd's teens before Reina moved out into her own house. They had moved to the UK while still married, shortly after having Elain, so Edd never really experienced living in Spain where the majority of his family resides. He also can't speak Spanish very well but he's been learning!

Elain had moved back to Spain after meeting a visiting spaniard and marrying him, resulting in her having two kids, but it really wasn't long before they divorced. Turns out he had a mistress she was unaware of who was also pregnant so she slammed that divorced hammer quite fucking fast and took custody of the kids. Edd swears he'd kill the guy if he ever sees him, Elain tell him not too because she want's to be the one who kills him lmao.

Reina isn't orthodox but due to growing up w John who is, Edd seems to... think... she is... so whenever she visits he's in a rush to clean up the house. This shit should have been kosher YESTERDAY! BURY THE BACON IN THE BACKYARD GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!! She tells the rest of them she actually adores bacon and is always slightly disappointed whenever Edd hides it from her. Tom tries to tell Edd about this but he just... wont rlly listen... it's ok it's not like it's rlly hurting anyone.

I want to make theories that are half baked because I keep thinking about the tracklisting.

Gardener of Vengeance obviously doesn’t have to have anything to do with Magnus, but also my immediate word association with the word vengeance is to think of Magnus whether he remains dead or not in this film, he impacted the six of them deeply both physically and mentally.

Aortic Desecration is clearly a break up song….okay it doesn’t have to be but the lyrics sound like it and I get the feeling that Abigail does give Nathan a second chance after Doomstar, but the issue she had before where he closes himself off from those around him ends up having her break it off with him, possibly before the concert where we see him collapse onstage.

Poisoned by Food just could be a silly throwback to how their old songs were ridiculous like a lot of metal songs honestly, but also considering how specific the other titles are on the new album it is equally possible that somebody has been poisoned or perhaps the world’s food supply has been poisoned due to the approach of the blood red sun in the sky making it impossible to grow crops, maintain cattle, or keep food from rotting.

Mutilation on a Saturday Night just makes me think of that one Misfits song about a guy killing a girl he loved and any girl he kills is just not the same as the first time. I wonder if maybe this song if it pertains to the movie at all that is, has anything to do with Murderface and perhaps his self mutilation habits worsening due to trying to get the demon out of his body. I partially say this because of Nathan’s line from My Name is Murder “he could try to take his own life” and we know Murderface is prone to threats of suicide and he canonically is a cutter.

Bloodbath feels more obviously about the mass death and utter chaos and destruction the Earth is falling into now and possibly the war between the band and Salacia’s army.

I Am the Beast could be about Salacia, but also the Whales have been referred to as the water beast in Blazing Star so truthfully it’s a toss up.

Horse of Fire could have something to do with the scene of boats on a river of blood and the massive skeleton guard we see, we know we are getting more of the underworld in the movie.

DEADFACE is well concerning….it is aside from SOS the only one in all caps, there is no real reason for it to be in all caps except that it makes it feel ominous and a bit foreboding and dark. We learned from Charles that Salacia stops the heart of his victims then restarts it except he gets to control them like a puppet now, so super possible for a moment Murderface does die, there is also always the immensely dark no character is safe cause this is the end possibility that he just dies. Though considering the whole of Exitus that seems unlikely.

SOS I know is obvious and we see a good bit of scenes in the trailer where they appear to either be in danger or risk of it

Murmaider 3 comes down to people always wanted a third track for this one, but also considering how oceanic everything in the show has been since literally day one it is likely the ocean and its inhabitants have a big part in stopping Salacia.

honestly im with you here. i think that mangaka is just clearly working things out and isn't making any sweeping generalizations about trans people, just talking about their own experience in language that some people might not agree with (personally I just read the afterword and it looks fine to me), and it feels a bit harsh to bash on them when they're just trying to navigate these hard confusing feelings

I mean this isn't really a discussion in the real world, this is one of the most Tumblr things I've ever seen. Demily is a trans woman who got to transition young and in one of the most supportive countries in the world and has had a near perfect transition and grew up on Tumblr learning about trans issues and the correct way to speak about them. Of course she doesn't understand what many trans people have gone through. I mean, she responded by saying something about "having the guts to go through with it", as if transitioning is merely a matter of personal courage. The fact that she can even say that shows an astounding level of ignorance of the trans community outside of her own experience. She is essentially accusing this guy of transphobia but wow, maybe look in the mirror.

And yeah, the part she posted as an example of what she had a problem with absolutely isn't a problem, which you think it would be if she is trying to highlight what she considers bad behavior? You would think that she would highlight a particularly egregious part, but... no, not at all. they even specify in that part how it is their own experience using words like "my", "me", "I", "myself" and such. It is really hard to see sweeping generalizations in statements where the author so consistently and repeatedly refers to themselves.

But even if they were like she said, that's how a lot of pre transition people think. Like I said, they have not sorted it all out yet. Are we really in the business of insulting people trying to work towards a better understanding of their own pain because their words were not politically correct enough in expressing that pain? Is that what is important here?

Honestly I think she read it, it made her feel shitty and dysphoric and she lashed out and said something ignorant. She saw something that made her feel bad or angry and she assumed then that the thing was bad. It's an easy mistake to make, it was just a particularly unfortunate case.

Now the other thing that someone else, not demily, responded to that was that this kind of questioning should not be done publicly because it might make others feel bad. *That* is an astoundingly ignorant and transphobic thing to say. This is the kind of shit that gets you kicked out of real world trans groups and the only reason it flies here is because trans tumblr is extremely warped.

On the individual level, how are people supposed to get help if they always bottle up these feelings? People will say seek help in private, but that alone betrays an incredible level of ignorance and advantage that they think help is so easily found. No to mention, how are these people supposed to know that what they are saying is wrong if they don't understand and have the issue sorted out in their head? It's putting the cart before the horse in an incredibly stupid and obvious way. It is a special kind of trans issue ignorance, where young people who have had so many resources and advantages when it comes to knowledge simply cannot fathom that others didn't have those advantages, and it is rampant among young tumblr trans people. It is victim blaming, condemning the trans victim of a society or environment that censors trans related information for not knowing that information. It is ignorant and transphobic to hold trans people to an impossible standard when talking about their own feelings.

Second, the real argument they make here is that this stuff existing in public is a disinformation hazard for trans people. As if a single drop of the voice of a trans person talking about their own pain could ever make a difference in the ocean of anti trans everything drowning our society. It's insignificant at worst in the face of everything else in society, and this is what we as a trans community are here for! To educate, spread the information, make sure others can see what is real past all the propaganda. Adding a drop to the ocean wont matter, and I still don't concede that people expressing their pain in this way are doing so.

I'm not even going to entertain the statement that it is disrespectful to trans women who have already transitioned. That's just nonsense.

Finally, on the community level, there is a ton of value in these feelings put out there uncensored, less than ideal language intact, is because there are many other trans people right now who feel the same way but think they are the only one. They don't identify with the common stated trans experience of "I always knew" or "I felt something was wrong since I was a child". Trans experiences differ wildly and censoring one of the types of trans experiences because we find the language unpleasant is inexcusable.

Not to mention the historical value of having this kind of trans experience laid out so plainly and in such an enduring form.

The whole thing is just extremely online nonsense and highlights how ignorant a trans person can be of trans issues outside of their own frame of reference.

liam and hayden

Liam

First Impression: He was such a baby when he was introduced but I absolutely loved him. He was a welcome breath of fresh air.

Impression Now: My baby, my puppy, my blorbo. I think it’s pretty obvious I adore Liam.

Favourite Moment: there’s so many! “I fell in a hole,” and “I held a guy’s hand.” The grabbing of Theo’s wrist in the police station , the almost fist pump, leaping off the second school floor to ride a horse… I’ll stop now otherwise this is gonna get super long.

Idea for a Story: I love the idea of Liam and Isaac fighting/competing for Scott’s attention over their beta status, even though they are both Scott’s first beta’s for obvious reasons.

Unpopular Opinion:Liam and Hayden never should have been in a relationship. The whole thing felt forced while trying to make them Scott/Allison 2.0. Really, they should have maintained their rivalry despite becoming friends.

Favourite Relationship: THIAM. But also Thiaac, Thiamott, Thiamhound. Like his alpha (and Theo) Liam is very shippable.

Favourite Headcanon: This goes with my dark thiam: Liam killed his bio dad but made it look like an accident.

Hayden

First Impression: another character solely created to be a love interest/a mini Allison.

Impression Now: Hayden was introduced in a season stuffed with many new characters. Hayden had a lot more going for her before she and Liam started dating; her banter and beef with him, paired with her business with the Chimera Pack, made her more of a dynamic character in the beginning. But after she and Liam got together, she was only there to prop up his character and most of the time, their relationship felt forced, like Scott and Allison 2.0

Favourite Moment: when she punches Liam in the face when he shows her he’s a werewolf.

Idea for a Story: I feel like the writers of the show forget that Hayden is a bitten beta and I think it would be interesting to see Hayden challenging Liam’s status as acting alpha while Scott is away. I think S6A would have benefited if Liam and Hayden had stayed broken up from last season and reintroduced their rivalry/competitiveness. Or, the bite could have gone wrong, leading to complications like it did with Jackson but also because she was a chimera first.

Unpopular Opinion: This is not just because Thiam’s my number one ship but like Allison, Hayden should’ve stayed dead or died from her injuries.

Favourite Relationship: I’m going to say Gwen. Hayden had so much more chemistry with her in like two episodes than with Liam which leads into my headcanon. Also, Tracy.

Favourite Headcanon: Hayden is a lesbian. Her relationship with Liam leads both of them to realise some things about themselves.
