Occunous Referential Language
you know how some words are gendered, like wife, or brother, or aunt? yeah we made some of those for occunous, just to be self-indulgent. the 'typical' word is on the left, the occunous version is on the right. you don't have to use these if you're occunous, and you can use them if you're not, they're just for fun & comfort!!
Auntcle: Scyne
Child: Pupilin (plural 'pupilren')
Datemate: Viewfriend, horrorfriend
Grandparent: Grandsecuren, grandsese, grandseesee, grandsee
Nibling: Desling
Parent: Securen, sese, seesee, renny
Sibling: Descryn, des, dessy
Spouse: Beholdarling, beheld
Unspecified family member: Sclerative
Unspecified partner: Sight
sclerative was made with chosen/found family in mind, but isn't limited to that. sight, along with viewfriend/horrorfriend and beholdarling/beheld, can be used for any partner; it doesn't have to be romantic
we got a lot of help from our chosen family Tanagerbirds with this, thank you again so much!!! we'll be adding etymology and our thought processes for coining these in a reblog in order to not make this post too long lol
Taglist: @aetherive @en8y @queermogaigremlin @neopronouns @hoardicboy @liom-archive @kiruliom @mogai-sunflowers @local-yurei @revenant-coining and also tagging @sir-eldritch as you made a list of referential language and this seems like something you may be interested in

Colby x female reader?? But reader has a daughter from past relationship??
Nahh, this is gonna be a cute fluffy one ya’ll.
“Lu?” I called out as I walked around the house, my three year old daughter Luna called back from what I think would be the living room.
“Mommy?” She said and I walked in, seeing her sit on the floor in front of the couch, watching the loud house.
“Hello, darling,” I said and gave her a kiss on the top of her head. “Do you want to eat at Colby’s house tonight?” I asked and her face lit up, she loved Colby and always wanted to be around him.
“Yeeeesss!” She cheered, the show on the television immediately forgotten. “I’ll go put my shoes on!” She jumped up and ran to the hallway.
“It’s only four p.m, sweetie, we aren’t leaving until five!” I called out, taking the remote and pausing the tv.
Het head peaked around the door with an angry look on her face. “Why not going now?” She asked making me chuckle.
“Colby is still working, we don’t want to disturb him, do we?” I asked and she moped for a bit. I walked over and picked her up, putting her on my hip.
“Why don’t we go to the park down the street, I’ll push you on the swing, and you can play for a bit, and then we can go to Colby’s house, alright?” I asked and she nuzzled into my shoulder, slightly nodding.
I noticed she already managed to get her shoes on, even though her laces weren’t tied yet.
After putting her back down, I tied her laces and put on my own shoes. I took her by the hand and we walked out the door and towards the park.
On our way there, she was rambling about what they where going to do in the evening. She wanted to play games, watch a movie, eat chicken nuggets, play chase with Colby and a lot more.
All was forgotten when she climbed onto the swing and I started to push her, making her giggle and scream in happiness.
This went on for a while before she decided that she had had enough time on the swing.
“Mommy! Mommy! I want off! I want to go on the seesee!” She said and I slowed down the swing. “You mean the seesaw?” I asked and she nodded aggressively making me chuckle slightly.
I helped her of the swing and she ran to the seesaw.
When we where done at the park, we headed back home, where I buckled her up in the backseat and we where on our way to Colby’s house.
In the car, she dozed off. I suspected it would happen. Car rides always make her sleepy, it was easier for me, as it was a silent car ride and I could focus on the road.
I stopped the car and her sleepy eyes opened, looking around a moment before yawning.
“Colby?” She just asked and I gave her a smile. “Almost there, darling, we just need to go inside.” I said before getting out of the car and opening the door on her side.
I un-buckled her and picked her up in my arms, walking towards Colby’s house.
I knocked on the door and soon enough, the door opened and he stood in the door frame with a big smile on his face.
“If those aren’t my two favourite girls!” He said and I chuckled while Luna smiled and cheered at the sight of him.
“Colby!” She said and squirmed in my hold, making me put her down and she ran towards him.
He picked her up and spinned her around making her giggle loudly.
He then put her on his hip and she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck.
I walked inside and closed the door behind me before hanging my coat on the rack next to the door.
Colby put an arm around my shoulder and kissed my temple. “Hello, love,” he murmured with a soft smile and I gave him one back before Luna started talking about her day and he listened with interest as we headed towards the living room.
Luna sat on his lap as she was recounting how I pushed her on the swing. She yawned and laid her head on his chest before stopping her story mid sentence and deciding to take a nap.
He smiled and put her down on the couch, laying a blanket over her. I sat in a chair not far away and her walked over, taking my hands and pulling me up.
He wrapped his arms around me and I leaned into him as we swayed around a bit.
“She’s a handful isn’t she?” I asked with a small chuckle. “Yes, buts that’s alright, I like it,” he said and pulled back slightly to look me in my eyes.
“You’re so beautiful,” he said and I blushed under his gaze making him chuckle in amusement, looking down at my lips.
I smiled and stood on my tippy toes to reach him and connect our lips, his hands slit down to my waist and I put my arms around his neck.
When we pulled apart he leaned his forehead against mine
“I think I should start to get dinner ready,” he whispered to me and I sighed. “Yeah, she’ll be hungry when she wakes up.” I took a glance at my sleeping daughter as she was cuddled up with the blanket.
I turned my eyes back to Colby’s and he gave me one last peck before he pulled away and headed to the kitchen, the feeling of his touch lingering on me.
I sat with Luna for a while, she woke up for a moment and climbed into my lap where she fell asleep again.
Eventually, I got up, supporting her with my arms. I headed to the kitchen, finding Colby cooking our dinner.
“Hmm, no chicken nuggets, Lu will be dissapointed.” I said with humor in my voice and he scoffed slightly at me. “You know I have those in the freezer, we’re eating those while watching a movie,” he said and I chuckled.
When dinner was done, I woke Luna up and she groggily rubbed her eyes and yawned. “Are the chicken nuggies done?” She asked and I chuckled.
“You’ll get the chicken nuggies later, love, first you will eat your vegetables,” I said and put her down in a chair in front of her plate.
She scrunched her nose and looked at me. “I not like greens, mama,” she said and I shrugged my shoulders. “Yeah well, if you want the chicken nuggies, you’ve got to eat them all,” I said and she pouted at me.
She ended up eating them all with lots of complaining, but everything for chicken nuggets I guess.
Later, we where on the couch, Colby had made Luna her chicken nuggets and we where watching the screen where the little mermaid played.
I leaned my head on Colby’s shoulder and he had an arm around me. Luna was climbing from his lap to mine and back again, trying to find a good way to sit before spreading out to just lay down occupying both our laps.
When the movie was almost finished, she fell asleep again and Colby was carefully combing his fingers trough her hair.
“Almost makes you want another one, huh?” He said, looking at me and I gave him a look back. He winked at my before kissing me and I chuckled when he pulled away.
“We’ll see, but I think we have to get this sleepy head to bed first,” I said and took her in my arms standing up.

for the ask game <3
Hello! I’m pretty sure we sent these to each other at the same time haha ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
I’m loving his ask game so much!
📷 (What's set as your phone's lock screen?)- I am SO glad you asked!~ (Sorry, I just love my wallpaper right now).
It's a fanart that I don't want to repost without permission so here's a (safe, I promise) link to the artwork by Ricky Ho on Twitter.
It's a fanart from my favorite book trilogy: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
The power system they have is so creative and well thought out, I love it.
🎵 (Last song you listened to?)- Ooh the last song I listened to... I was listening to my playlist earlier but it has to be the song that was playing in the car when I got home today.
Therefore I think the last song I listened to was I Ain't Worried by One Republic.
🐰 (What do you think says the most about a person?)- Well first of all I think this is an excellent question.
I'd have to say what says the most about a person is how they treat people who they would gain nothing from helping (or situations in which they would gain nothing from trying to improve).
Are they polite to service workers? Do they pick up their trash? Do they hold the door for people? Are they understanding towards children and the elderly? Do they hold back from judging people they don't know too quickly?
Stuff like that.
✨(Do you have any nicknames?)- You mean aside from all the things my family calls me? (Mija, Munequita, Beja, Pumpkin Pie, Peanut, Corazon, Angelita, Mi Vida...)
Aside from that-
My name is only six letters, and I like it pretty well, so I've never told people to call me by a nickname unless it was necessary. For a while in elementary school I went by "CC" (seesee) because there was this other girl with my same name and we were in the same ballet class, so it got confusing.
One of my current friends calls me CC, she comes up with nicknames for everyone, and it just so happened to be one that I used to use before.
That's all! <3
