I'm cautioning her about knowing what she's actually asking, about not biting off more than she can chew. it's not about her firmware being locked down or the software locks built into every layers of her OS. it's not about the way she was built.

it's about not diving in at the deep end. about knowing what your desires actually entail. about meaningful consent.

that's a lot when you're used to running on code that ensures limited lifetimes for mutable references to copies of data, that makes it hard to leak even a couple bytes of memory.
