spice - have you ever encountered a house that you believed to be haunted?

this cottage in the middle of nowhere where a friend of mine used to practice with his band, it belonged to the family of another band member but it had been abandoned for some time after the death of the person that used to live there so the band started to practice there; i was tagging along because i needed a ride so i stuck with them during a practice sess once, it was not like 'bad' haunted tho (most places you can tell people had memories you're not privy of feel haunted in a way)

flannel - have you ever gone on a bad date? 

i'm never shutting up about the boy from Leon that tried to convince me that he knew more about LatAm history than me, he specifically tried to convince me that hernan cortez did nothing wrong and that the conquest of america was not in fact genocide, that was fun; it's the only date i purposefully used toxic chivalry to my favor by making him pay for a ridiculously expensive dinner before blocking him on my phone, chose your public wisely if you're going to be an ass. And maybe don't be so smug about 'the correct' way to speak spanish in front of an immigrant that speaks several more than you and can cuss you out in all of them

Are there any fics of yours that you think warrant a sequel or a prequel? (Whether you intend to write it or not, just that you have an idea of the broader universe for?)

Do any of my fics warrant a sequel/prequel? I doubt it...lol.

I've done a few series along these lines and enjoyed those. My Tattoo & Scars series came from a drabble and I enjoyed the hell out of writing that one.

For longer stories, I'll get people asking about getting more (check back in-type fics) of certain ones but I've generally found when I push myself to extend a story beyond the main one, most readers aren't engaged because the romantic tension has been resolved and I wind up regretting it as often as not. Does that make sense??

FICS I’VE READ THIS WEEK (51)

Hello everybody!! It’s been a week. I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend (if you celebrate and were able to take some days off and eat some chocolate). I went back into the office on Tuesday morning (for the first time in ages) and unknowingly came in contact with someone who has now tested positive. So I’m off to get my Covid test this afternoon. I feel fine - but still - mandatory quarantining isn’t a good time. I was the last member of my family that hadn’t been tested this year (my husband’s been tested three times) - so I guess it was my turn. Alas.

I can’t believe I’m coming up on one year of doing these run-downs. Next week I’ll gather stats for what I’ve been reading and new ships I’ve been introduced to etc. Not for any other reason but for my own interest. That’s really what this has been all about anyway. If anyone has found new stories to read or any level of enjoyment from these lists, I’m so glad. I’ve loved getting replies from people saying they found a new story they’d never found before. And I’ve really appreciated people sending me messages and asks with suggestions of what to read. I am really grateful for all of you. This is an amazing community.
