I feel pity for Servetseza Kadın (wife of Abdulmejid I) and Bedrifelek Kadın (wife of Abdul Hamid II), because the sultans didn’t had a string relation although they were the most kind wives of Abdulmejid I and Abdul Hamid II, what do you think?
I have never thought about them in that way, and I don't know if they can be compared because Servetseza had no children with Abdülmecid I but Bedrifelek had three with Abdülhamid II. And the two sultans were very different themselves. While I don't think that Abdülmecid I mistreated or ignored Servetseza, Abdülhamid II wouldn't even visit Bedrifelek in her rooms. Indeed, when Gülcemal Kadınefendi died, Abdülmecid I entrusted Servetseza with her children. I think this shows that he trusted her and valued her; he just wasn't in love with her.

Hey I love your blog!! I wanted to ask if there were any sultanas who maybe adopted children to raise them or sultanas who had good relationships with the Sultan’s children from other concubines? I recall you mentioning Nurbanu had adopted a boy and that Turhan protected Ibrahim’s other sons with her life for as long as she lived
Sure! There’s plenty of them, especially after the practice of fratricide died out:
Kösem had a good relationship with Osman II, and would take him on carriage rides with her sons
Rahime Perestu raised Abdülhamid II and his half-sister Cemile when their mothers died. Abdülhamid II also had a warm relationship with Pertevniyal Valide Sultan; on the contrary, he couldn’t stand Şevkefza Valide Sultan
Abdülaziz was in such good relationship with Tiryâl Hanım, one of his father’s consorts, that during his reign she was referred to as “the second valide sultan”
Servetseza Kadın loved Murad V like a son, and was also step-mother of Mehmed V, Refia and Fatma Sultan
Neveser Hanım raised Şehzade Mehmed Burhaneddin, son of Abdülmecid I and Nükhetseza Hanım
Şayeste Hanım raised Mehmed VI when his mother died
Mehmed II called Mara Brankovic “mother”, suggesting a close relationship between the two
the Venetian ambassador once saw Handan with little Mustafa I in the gardens of Topkapi Palace... maybe she ensured that he was well looked after

On this day, 24 September, in Ottoman history:
24 September 1585 - death of Sultanzade Mahmud Bey: son of Ismihan Sultan and Dâmâd Kalaylıkoz ‘Alî Paşa, he was born on 5 August of the same year. His mother had already died of complications on 7 August, and he too died after only one month. He was buried in the mausoleum of his mother's first husband, Grand Vizier Dâmâd Sokollu Mehmed Paşa.
24 September 1816 - death of Emine Sultan: second daughter of Mahmud II and Pertev-Piyâle Nev-fidân Başkadınefendi to be called Emine, she was born on 7 January 1815. She died in her cradle during a fire in the Old Baylerbeyi Palace and was buried in the Yahya Efendi Tomb.
24 September 1879 - death of Servetseza Kadın: Senior Imperial Consort of Sultan Abdülmecid, she was born in 1823 in Maykop, the capital of the Adyghe Republic. Her father was Mansur Bey, Prince of Temruko, while her mother was a member of the Georgian noble family of the Dadeşkeliani. Servetseza was chosen by the valide sultan Bezmialem - herself a Georgian - to become one of her son's consorts. Abdülmecid, though, was not interested in her and only four months after their wedding, he remarried. Servetseza never had children but after Gülcemal Kadın's premature death, she was given the 11-year-old Fatma Sultan, the 9-year-old Refia Sultan and the 7-year-old Şehzade Reşad Efendi to raise. Servetseza loved Murad V like her own son, and was always partisan to his cause. She also tried to have Abdülaziz bypassed to put Şehzade Murad on the throne, at Abdülmecid's death. She lived for 17 years in Kabataş Palace and mysteriously died during the month of Ramadan in 1879. According to Ali Fuad Bey, she was assassinated on Abdülhamid II's orders: "Servetseza considered Abdülhamid II only a regent and thought that her beloved Murad V, now recovered, should be reinstated as sultan. To her adoptive son, Şehzade Reşad Efendi, she said that she would go visit Abdülhamid II (whom she did not recognise as sultan, as she called him “Hamid Efendi”) to warn him to give the throne back to Murad V. Reşad Efendi said: Mother, do not do such a thing! It will only bring shame on you and our brother Murad Efendi." Nevertheless, Servetseza went to see the sultan that evening. To him, she said: "My lion, do you know why I'm here tonight? You've been acting as your brother's regent for two years. Now it is time to give him back what is his right. Let him reign." According to Ali Fuad, Abdülhamid agreed with her: “Well, you’re right, mother. I was already thinking about this. Let’s talk again after the fast-breaking meal”. When they met again, Abdülhamid served Servetseza a poisoned sherbet, which she drank. Taken back to Kabataş Palace, she died the following day. She was buried in the Sultan Selim Mosque.

Servetseza Kadın was the Senior Imperial Consort of Sultan Abdülmecid; her father was Mansur Bey, Prince of Temruko, and her mother was a member of a distinguished Georgian family, and thus a compatriot of Valide Sultan Bezmialem. For this reason, Servetseza was chosen to be a consort for the new sultan.
Abdülmecid, though, did not appear to be particularly interested in her and only four months after their wedding, he remarried. Nonetheless, Servetseza kept her position and never showed any displeasure, attracting the sultan's gratitude. Which is why when Gülcemal Kadınefendi died, Servetseza was given Şehzade Reşad Efendi, Fatma Sultan and Refia Sultan to raise.
Servetseza was an ardent supporter of Şehzade Mehmed Murad (the future Murad V), she loved him like a son, and even tried to make him sultan after her husband's death, following Abdülmecid's explicit desire to be succeeded by his eldest son and not by his younger brother. Unfortunately, she did not succeed and retired in apartments inside Kabataş Palace, in which she lived for seventeen years.
The former Senior Imperial Consort never forgave Abdülhamid II for deposing Murad V and refused to acknowledge him as the new sultan, calling him instead "the regent". According to Ali Fuad Türkgeldi, an Ottoman politician and historian, Servetseza begged him to give the throne back to Murad V, who had in the meanwhile recovered. Abdülhamid II allegedly agreed and then offered her a drink. Servetseza died the following day.
She was buried next to her husband.
