i think quite possibly one of the funniest things about the lunar and shadow affinity skill trees is the possibility that maxwell is the only one who really knows who's on what side, aside from the individual survivors themselves. like. they don't tell anyone else. and the rest of the survivors are like "woah where'd you learn how to do [ABC] haha that's pretty cool keep up the good work buddy".

and then there's maxwell, a blurry figure in the background, standing there like "wtf this bitch took lunar affinity dude."

This probably dissolves into chaos before the teams are decided, but if we have a little truce. If the GS LIs played 2v2 Twister, elimination style, what team would win? Runner up? 9 LI, maybe use one twice, a supporting character, or one as the impartial spinner/referee (or Morgan here, she deserves to see this). Does it hit chaos regardless, no one gets rewards? Any situations/comments that are must shares? A fun+silly ask you're free to skip if it's to weird, mundane or nonsensical.

Umbra and co managed to follow Adam and The Enlightenment to the center of the park where tons of people were watching them, watching as Adam got ready to make another speech. Hearing these cultists speak in front of school was always annoying, so the possibility of raining on their parade for once seemed like a good idea. “Oi Presley, looks like those armored jerks are starting a rally here.” Touya comments, before turning to where Umbra was supposed to be, immedieatnly realizing she’s gone. “Presley?” 

Sawa also notices that Umbra is gone, but soon sees that the red haired girl is heading straight towards the armored teens and Adam. “Oh shit...” The girl then taps Touya’s shoulder. 

“What?”

“Does she do that often?” Sawa then points directly at Umbra approaching the armored teens.

Touya then processes what’s going on. “Shit, I thought she was gonna wait!” The silver haired boy and the ginger immediently head after her.

Umbra walked in right when Adam was starting to spout what her mind viewed as nonsense. After weeks of dealing with these cultists, she’s had enough of theirnonsense. So it was time to do something petty. “This boring!!” She yells, causing Adam to go silent.

Adam looks for whoever said that word, before clearing his throat and continuing his speech. “As I was saying, we have strayed away from-”

“Boring!!”

“… The path that god-”

“BORRRING!!” Umbra yells, which immediately calls attention to herself. The armored teens give her dirty looks behind their helmets. 

“How dare you disrespect the lord!” One armored teen yells, obviously mad at Umbra.

“I’m not disrespecting god… just doing the community a I’m disrespecting you clowns.” The red haired girl smirks, before Adam approaches her.  “Do you think we’re fools?”

“Well for one, I think you hit your head.” Umbra replies rather bluntly. “I mean, god doesn’t give missions like that to kids and I personally know a catholic, so I know.”

“What are you trying to say?”

Umbra grins. “That you’re bullshiting people. Conning them if we want to be specific.”

Adam is internally seething now. The very idea of doing such a thing disgusted him. “How dare you question our holy mission?”

“Oh I dare, young priest.” Umbra’s grin gets wider before Sawa and Touya arrive and tap Umbra’s shoulder, causing her to turn towards them.  “Presley, I think you took heckling a bit too far.” Touya remarks.  “Yeah, let’s get going.” Sawa mentions, while trying to drag Umbra away from the scenes.

“Nope.” Umbra replies. “I didn’t take it far enough.” The red haired girl escapes Sawa’s grip and looks back at Adam. She then approaches him slowly. “You call yourself a man, or in your case boy, of god, yet you’re doing this cultist bullshit in public. So if I had to take a guess you’re trying to bullshit people for no reason or you’ve been duped.”

Adam’s eyes open wide after that last sentence. There’s no way what she’s saying is true. For all he knew, she was lying. However he had to stand his ground, he had too. “What makes you think that?” There is a silence between the two for a moment as Adam remains on guard. The silence continues before Adam feels someone pat his head, Victor. “Father?”

“I went by a shrine in hopes of convincing more people to join us in our mission, so pardon me being late.” Victor then looks at Umbra and is completely caught off guard by her presence. “What is she doing here?”

“This red haired heckler tried to accuse us of lying to the people.” The boy in white explains to his father. “Clearly she’s blind to reason.”

Victor remains silent, before finally deciding to speak. “Well I hope god helps her. Let us leave this-” Within a matter of seconds, the older man is tackled by Umbra, whose pupils are now both a bright yellow and her sclera pitch black. “What in the-!?”

“My, my… what kind of dish do we have here?” ‘Umbra’ speaks, sounding as if she was possessed. A shadowy substance then surrounds her hand, turning it into a claw. However before she could slash Victor, Adam throws her off his father. 

Touya and Sawa are just watching this go down. While Touya feels as if he can help, he’s also worried about injuring Umbra. Meanwhile Sawa is just internally processing the shit in front of her.

“I thought I sensed a demonic presence was here.” A light then appears in front of Adam, before morhing into an angelic figure. “Ave Maria! Fend off the demon!”

‘Umbra’ then cackles before, running towards Adam as shadowy tendrils pop out of her back and her golden eyes continue glowing. She avoids a few punches from the angelic figure, eventually slashing Adam’s face. However, while there was an obvious scar on Adam’s face now, he wasn’t bleeding. This caught ‘Umbra’ off guard, “What?” Then in the blink of an eye, Ave Maria slams Umbra’s face into the ground, causing the shadowy tendrils and claw to vanish, and knocking her out in the process.
